The Full Moon, December 25, Christmas Day @ 11:11 am GMT is a very rare occurrence. It hasn’t happened since 1977 and the next Christmas Full Moon won’t happen until 2034. The message is be in the now and don’t miss it. At 3+ degrees Cancer it is the sign of the Mother, the Great Mother, receptivity, family, nurturing, food, the stomach, instincts, intuition, the oceans, nourishment, emotional safety, security, Home, roots, foundation, the womb, protection, the matrix.

Cancer is a cardinal water sign governed by the Moon. This is a beautiful Full Moon synchronicity as Christmas is all about celebrating birth, family, giving and children. This Christmas will be a very emotionally loaded situation. The connection to the Divine Mother and her Divine Child brings unconditional Healing love for all the children of the world and we do so need to receive that now. Call upon the Moon Mothers, Egyptian Goddess Isis, Diana, Kwan Yin, Tara, there are hundreds of them, to show you their love and to heal your heart, womb and soul so that you may spread your love to all the children, the oceans and rivers. This Full Moon is a time of fertility. The Full Moon in Cancer will exert event stronger pulls on our emotions and the tides. The Werewolf myth symbolizes the wild, unconscious, instinctual responses we have to the Full Moon. It is naturally a time of strong sexuality and the only time during the month when our ancestors would be out at night, safely enjoying a moon bath.

This Full Moon will greatly exaggerate our emotions, our hearts and our unquenched thirst for love. We all have inner children whose need to be loved, accepted and appreciated never diminishes. Cancer rules the stomach and all eating disorders are connected to the lack of being breast-fed, bonding with the mother, or lacking a sense of emotional safety as young child. Of course this Full Cancerian Moon will be stirring our moods and upsetting our tummies. Be mindful of over-eating as emotional compensation, to numb out stressful feelings

In the Tarot the sign of Cancer is symbolized by Major Arcana #7 The Chariot.

The Chariot is a very spiritual card as it relates to the emotional body being the vehicle or chariot that the soul uses. To navigate the Chariot one must have total emotional control. The Charioteer dressed in armor of gold and encrusted with jewels in the Thoth tarot holds the Wheel of Time/Karma/ Fortune in their lap. This Card signifies that if one can control their emotions they control and guide their karma/future/ fortune.

The obvious questions that come up:  Are you in the driver’s seat? How will you stay in equanimity when you are with your family and all the old childhood triggers happen? Of course this Full Cancerian Moon will be stirring our moods, and upsetting our tummies, which Cancer rules. This may be a Christmas of over-eating as emotional compensation, to numb out feelings.

The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “Weeping willows by a pond.” The fronds of the trees reach down toward the water. Knowledge (as symbolized by trees) seeks connection with the emotional and intuitive realms. At the other extreme – high in the sky – are the fireworks of the Omega Symbol, and unlike the closeness of the fronds to the water, they are at a distance. They signify spiritual glories, the fiery, free, and beautiful energies of the ethereal realms. These are the two places where we need to focus our attention – deep inside ourselves (the pond) and far outside ourselves into the infinite. The more aware we become of these two realms the more we see they they are reflections of each other, and that ultimately they are the same – there is no inner or outer, only the oneness and unity of self.

This is the best time to bring out your crystals to be washed in the full Moon’s light. Also making tinctures for women’s reproduction is done under this Full Moon.

Set up a sacred meditation space, alter or mesa.

You can pre-record these instructions with pauses to listen to as you do the meditation.

MUSIC: soft flowy, watery sounds, whale sounds, or heartbeat rate drum beat.

Begin by smudging yourself first. Light your candles. One for each direction. I always work EAST to SOUTH to WEST TO NORTH. Always move clockwise. Call in the four elements and the four direction into your sacred circle.

Call in the four Archangels, Michael, Gabriel, Ariel, Raphael in the same order.
Center yourself by breathing, sit or lie down, close your eyes.

Sit upright. Begin to breathe, slowly, naturally and deeply. Let all your thoughts dissipate as you breathe in and out. Pay attention to your breath moving in through your nostrils filling up your lungs and then being released as your lungs empty, breathing out through your mouth. Pause after you exhale for a few seconds then slowly breathe in for the count of four and be aware of the air entering your lungs and filling them. The deeper you breathe, the more oxygen enters your body and brain. This expands your consciousness and awareness and your entire body relaxes.

Breathe into and be aware of your womb. Put your hands on your 2^nd chakra. Men also have a spirit womb. We want to go back into the unconscious memories of being in our mother’s and in the Great Mother’s womb.

Feel how you are totally loved and inseparable from the physical, spiritual and emotional ground with your mother. You are One with the Universe who is your Mother.  If you had a difficult relationship with your mother, or if you were unwanted emotionally while your mother was pregnant, or you were abandoned, then this is the perfect time to heal those issues by connecting with the Divine Goddess.

Imagine that you go back in time to before you were born in this life. See and sense yourself as a small baby in utero. Listen. You will hear the pounding of the heartbeat of your mother, as a steady drum beat.  Ba boom, ba boom, ba boom. This was the constant rhythm that accompanied every child every moment before birth. It is pitch black and you are weightless, floating in the amniotic sac. You have no thirst and no hunger, your needs are automatically cared for, continuously fed through your umbilicus and the placenta. Feel the sense of total ease, joy, connection, warmth, safety and security.

Imagine the Great Goddess, you can see her as Mary if you are Catholic, or as the Great Mother, Demeter, Yemaya or Kwan Yin.  Feel her take you magically into her womb. Feel yourself having a joyous easy ecstatic birth. Feel the Great Mother take you to her breast and nurse you. Taste the ambrosia, which you eagerly gulp down and which makes you feel dizzy with joy and bliss. Your tummy feels filled and satisfied. Feel her gazing into your eyes and your soul. Feel her heart totally embracing you with unshakable love. Your body will begin to relax, to trust, and to feel nurtured as you receive this unconditional love like a hummingbird drinks nectar. Do this and allow whatever feelings and sensations of peace, contentment, and relaxation arise.

Soak up the love for as long as you wish. You may fall asleep, that is ok. Remember that the Divine Mother has always been and will always be there to hold you, protect you and nurture you. You are safe, loved and secure. When you are filled with unconditional love then you have more than enough love in your heart to share to give unconditionally to others.

Come out of this meditation feeling content, blissed out, relaxed and satisfied. This is the peace. Do this meditation daily. Thank the Great Mother.

Pregnant mothers: this is an excellent moon to really connect with your unborn child. Think about giving birth in as natural a way as possible. It is the most important transition in anyone’s life. Water births are very safe and labor is easier for the mother and child. Get a midwife, she will empathize in a way that no doctor or gynecologist will. Home births are the safest and easiest for mothers.

I sense that because I wrote in a realistic but apparently negative tone about the Paris Charlie Hebdo Muslim Extremists situation that I have turned off some of my readers. The world is an apparent dichotomy of light and dark forces. You  cannot ignore the dark side, it definitely exists. The New Age talks about ignoring the dark and only focussing on the Light.  That what you focus on attracts it is only partially true.

Yes we want to be optimistic, full of faith and hope and focusing on the positive. But we cannot ignore our own shadows, our own unexamined psyches.  Those that hate us or appear to be our enemies are still connected to us, we are connected to them, we can’t exist with out the other. This is part of the world’s shadow, the collective Unconscious. Yes the point is to know it,to go through it to not allow these shadows to unconsciously control us. To accept it. This disempowers it The famous Swiss psychologist Carl Jung worked his entire life on these issues.

The East sees it as Ying and Yang. Two polarities. We cannot have the Light without the dark. It is the very nature of the Universe we live in, it exists obviously all around us. I believe the universe shows us the very patterns of it. day/night. awake/asleep, etc.

 

We need to see a positive loving world of peace and equality for all. Yes.

We need to step up our need to expand our hearts to include all of those in ignorance and hatred. Of course they see us as being the ignorant ones and hate us in the same measure. The Light cannot fight the dark directly. The Light can only  love the dark. So send love to all of those who live from hatred, fear and ignorance.

You do create your own reality by your consciousness. But you must also be aware of both aspects, consciousness is the LIGHT. Ignoring what also is apparent, is darkness. Choosing to ignore the dark does not make it go away, does not transform it. It actually empowers it. 

Where is the light in these murders? What can we learn from this? 

Light workers must also embrace the darkness that is in order to transform. For me that is what ascension is. To transform the dark with the Light. That is alchemy turning lead into Gold

What kind of a world do we want to live in? One of peace, and safety and kindness of course. One where the environment is clean, where everyone is happy, where children are safe, where everyone has opportunities to expand their own consciousness.

Open Your own heart to love all aspects of the world, the Muslim Terrorists, the right wing parties, the tree-huggers, the racists, and yourself, those you are ignorant of, your own sabotage,it is all part of the journey. We exist in multi-levels or dimensions as well. This is an important lesson n the worlds evolution, We make free will choices about how we deal with it.

I will light a Yahrzeit Memorial candle to remember my mother who passed away five years ago today on Erev Rosh Hashannah one of the most Holy days of the year to Jewish people. I was told that dying or being born on any of the High Holidays makes one a very spiritual person. That was nice timing on my Mom’s behalf. We were never really religious so I didn’t even know the customs. The irony is that there was no shiva or mourning for a week as is customary as Life takes precedence over death.  It felt good and wrong at the same time. We just carried on. It was very like my mom who was very humble and couldnt;t receive praise. I love you Mom and thank you for birthing me. I carry on for you and for dad too,

a What with the U.S. and arab helpers now bombing ISIL it will be interesting to see how this plays out. It is of course the Pluto Uranus squares in Astrology. These two planets created the 60’s war resisters, now it has come to this?

one of my favourite songs, I am listening to a lot lately. This song speaks of healing power and medicine of Woman, the Moon and the Earth Herself. A Machi is a medicine woman and sometimes also a medicine man.

The Japanese name Machi may be written with the characters for “true; reality” (ma) and “happiness; blessing; fortune” (chi). Other possibilities include “hemp; flax” (ma) and “wisdom” (chi). Machi is also the Japanese vocabulary word for “city”.

In the MATRIX,Neo wins over his enemy Mr. Smith and his minions by becoming one with him.

All fights are fights with parts of ourselves, mirrored in the “other.” What we are here for is to absolutely love all of creation.  Which is a lot of what the Grand Sextile is all about.

War, what is it good for? Absolutely nuthin.’

John Lennon 70th Memorial Birthday from True Blue Beatles fan Tara Greene

On Oct 9 2010 it would have been John Lennon’s 70th Birthday. I wish he would still be here today, alive to celebrate the momentous achievment. 

There will be worldwide memorial celebrations, especially at Strawberry Fields in Central Park in New York.                    

I can hardly believe that it will be 30 years since John Lennon was murdered! I remember that awful day so clearly in my mind!

John Lennon was a musical visionary genius. It takes some big archetypal karma to become a world famous shaker upper on the level that he reached. He created so much in 40 short years!

I adored The Beatles and John was the undisputed leader. He is credited with being the first one singing on stage, later joined by Paul McCArtney who brought his younger friend George Harrison along. And the rest is history.

The song IMAGINE which is most associated with John Lennon these days was written after The Beatles broke up. This song will endure and always keep John’s inspirational vision and dreams for peace alive, always reminding and inspiring us to open our minds, to visualize and create a reality of peace, harmony, no religion, no division, no countries, all the people living and sharing  life in peace. That is a truly consciousness changing song. It taps into Quantum Physics. If we can IMAGINE it- it begins to be created. John Lennon’s singing it makes it real. He is the archetypal progenitor of that creation.

John Lennon was very astute, he once said that the Beatles were more popular than Jesus. Any half intelligent person understood his meaning. It was self evident.  But this remark got him into a lot of trouble. Bible belters in the US burned Beatles records because of it. He had to apologise and explain that he wasn’t boasting, putting down religion or taking the Lord’s name in vain. In retrospect he lived the Archetypal life of a modern Jesus, a revolutionary, a dreamer, an inspirer whio became an unwitting martyr, murdered for his revolutionary dangerous ideas. I believe he was bumped off by the CIA.
John Lennon was a modern bard and a true intellectual revolutionary.  As a world famous pop star, singer song writer, his music will always accompany us through all the times of our lives. John  brought us musical stories of  heartache- Working Class Hero, You’ve Got to Hide Your Love Away, Help and melancholy, In My Life, Girl,  etc. and through the Beatles exuberance, She Loves You, Across The Universe, , All You Need Is Love, all that beautiful melodious music, will never fade away. The Beatles and John’s song Revolution especially created monumental change in Russia in particluar who credits The Beatles with creating the downfall of communism! see CBC documentary on How the Beatles started the Downfall of communism.

So on Oct. 9 remember John Lennon, who lives on in our hearts and vow to do something to create his dream of peace and make it real. It is we, left here who have to carry on his revolutionary dream.
