Mercury and Vesta are united in the skies today at the master number 22° of Taurus. Think about and honour and dedicate yourself to tens your own sacred inner fire and eternal spirit.

Now is exactly the time, synchronizing with her ancient worship days June 7-15 to ritually dedicate yourself as a Vestal Vixen a modern grounded focussed woman who tends to her own sacred flame her own spirit and soul and her own sexual tactic fires.

Vesta is an ancient Roman Goddess. Hestia is her name in Greek mythology. Vesta is the root word of investments which now equals money, and Investiture,

She represents the primal hearth fire for cooking and baking bread for both state and private families. The sacred flame, the eternal spiritual fire, of the family spirits, ancestors, protection, safety, warmth, she is a fire that must never be allowed to go out. She was a daughter of Rhea a titan and Saturn/Kronos who swallowed her whole she was the firstborn and last to be freed..

Her temples were always Round since antiquity. The saved fire was ritually extinguished and relit on March 1 which was the ancient Roman New Year.

The innermost sanctuary was not open to the public except during the Vestalia June 7-15 it where women came to praise Vesta . It was even was opened to barefoot poor matrons. On June 9 donkeys were decorated to honor Vesta as their braying loudly awoke Vestal Virgins who were vulnerable of being raped because they were sacred virgins. On June 15 the temple was dedicated to Vesta and ritually cleaned.

Vesta symbolizes the unwavering focus to tend your own spiritual fire. The Vestal Virgins were originally sacred pathenogenic priestessses who healed men in ritual tantric sexuality when returning from war.

Greek and Roman myths are totally patriarchal and no male God was needed to grant Vesta or any other goddess permission to be an eternal virgin and to never allow herself to fall in love. I’m personally rewriting these myths.

Their more familiar designation as Vestal Virgins is a literal women who never have sex with men, who are chaste for 30 years-a Saturn cycle but were then free to marry after serving, and under penalty of terrible torturous death if engaging in sexual relations with men.

Vesta is shown as a fully draped women with her animal the donkey or ass. You can see that Mother Mary in Christianity was taken from this more ancient goddess.

She is the goddess of baking. Honor Vesta each time you bake bread or any other grains.

Asteroid vesta is the 2nd largest and brightest asteroid in the asteroid belt and the forth to be discovered. March 29, 1807 as goddess of fire of course she is an Aries. Her orbit is under 4 years.

Vesta is actually a protoplanet not just a hunk of rock like most other asteroids.

Food, Water, Love, Venus in Cancer mood 2023

Venus in Cancer May 7 at 10:25 am EDT June 5 is“There’s no place like home”-Dorothy’s famous mantra in the Wizard of Oz is what Venus in Cancer is all about. Venus was last in Cancer about a year ago July 17- September 4/5 2022.

Mars is also in Cancer until May 20 and Saturn is in PIsces thorughout 2023. This is a super emotional sensitive time. Tears will flow spontaneously and tummies will be upset.

Cancer is the sign of the Mother, the womb, nurturing, nourishment, emotional safety,our tummy’s children, family. Mom, mothering, apple pie, water, the womb, the unconscious, the crab. Cancer can be crabby and defensive, and this also point out to eating disorders, eating for your emotions.

WATER

Spend time near water, swim if you can, meditate and reflect on water. Do stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water. Do a water puja everyday. A water puja is a ritual where you offer water to a Goddess as a thank you. Water symbolizes consciousness as well as emotions. It can be done every time you wash your hands. WATER is also our most precious commodity. Water shortages in many parts of the world highlights our need to save, protect and value Water. If we don’t have water there is no food, and no nothing else.  With Jupiter in Pisces until July 28 there may be flooding and typhoons even tsunamis.

PSYCHOLOGICALLY

It will be easier to express and be receptive to emotions during this time. Water dissolves all hardness so everyone can benefit from this. With so much talk of mental health issues and healing our childhood wounds Venus in Cancer helps the cleansing, mourning tears to help us heal.

HOME

Do beautify your nest, put in a water feature, renovate a kitchen or bathroom, or find a place you will love to call home. Go visit your mom, sisters. Appreciate your “sisterhood.”  Volunteer to help a women’s shelter, raise money for homeless people, volunteer at a food bank, or become a big sister.
