I came back from a lovely evening providing astrology readings for a PR company which has New York and Toronto offices for a staff member who was leaving who loves Astrology. I’ve always adored musicals. The Big old classic Busby Berkeley tap dancing American 30’s -50’s ones. The glitz, the glamour, the illusions, the dreamy happy endings. I watched them with my Dad all the time. Some of my Dad’s family had been in vaudeville. They were dancers and musicians. My Great Aunt Mary was a lead chorus girl at the Royal Alex Theatre on Front Street in Toronto in the 20’s called “Mary Rose.” Her friend George White asked her to run off to New York to try to dance on Broadway. She didn’t go. He did and became very famous. The George White Scandals was the competition for the Ziegfeld Follies. Aunt Mary was friends with Beatrice Lily, they had a vaudeville act together. My Dad had always wanted to be a professional dancer. He was an incredible dancer, I remember watching him,he was pretty talented, but he had a birth defect on his ear and that kept him from being in the spotlight. I took dancing lessons seriously from the time I was 5 for 10 years. Oh to be able to dance like the stars.
I finally watched this old film that I had wanted to watch for a while. I used to love it years ago. Pennies From Heaven, 1981, stars Steve Martin, his then-girlfriend, Bernadette Peters and an awesome dance performance from Christopher Walken is an original and very strange, heavy, modern musical which incorporates those old Fred Astaire, Ginger Rodgers numbers seamlessly.
I just realized the movie is the perfect mirror for the present Venus/ Saturn conjunction in Sagittarius with Neptune squaring them from PISCES throughout 2016.

Steve Martin plays Arthur Parker, the anti-hero, who is a dreamer who wishes reality were like those super romantic songs like Pennies From Heaven. His real life is shit; he is a loser, a liar, a sex obsessed, delusional infantile man. The movie constantly shifts from the hard Saturn to the Hollywood Glamour. Bernadette Peters plays his mistress/ lover. She is very feminine, sexy, uninhibited and truly a Venus love goddess in the flesh.
No spoilers. Film Critic Pauline Kael said. “Pennies from Heaven is the most emotional movie musical I’ve ever seen. It’s a stylized mythology of the Depression which uses the popular songs of the period as expressions of people’s deepest longings – for sex, for romance, for money, for a high good time…there was never a second when I wasn’t fascinated by what was happening on the screen.” The real versus the unreal. It’s perfectly crafted to mirror these energies which we are under now.

The Full Moon, December 25, Christmas Day @ 11:11 am GMT is a very rare occurrence. It hasn’t happened since 1977 and the next Christmas Full Moon won’t happen until 2034. The message is be in the now and don’t miss it. At 3+ degrees Cancer it is the sign of the Mother, the Great Mother, receptivity, family, nurturing, food, the stomach, instincts, intuition, the oceans, nourishment, emotional safety, security, Home, roots, foundation, the womb, protection, the matrix.
Cancer is a cardinal water sign governed by the Moon. This is a beautiful Full Moon synchronicity as Christmas is all about celebrating birth, family, giving and children. This Christmas will be a very emotionally loaded situation. The connection to the Divine Mother and her Divine Child brings unconditional Healing love for all the children of the world and we do so need to receive that now. Call upon the Moon Mothers, Egyptian Goddess Isis, Diana, Kwan Yin, Tara, there are hundreds of them, to show you their love and to heal your heart, womb and soul so that you may spread your love to all the children, the oceans and rivers. Begin by smudging yourself first. Light your candles. One for each direction. I always work EAST to SOUTH to WEST TO NORTH. Always move clockwise. Call in the four elements and the four direction into your sacred circle.
Call in the four Archangels, Michael, Gabriel, Ariel, Raphael in the same order.
Center yourself by breathing, sit or lie down, close your eyes.
Sit upright. Begin to breathe, slowly, naturally and deeply. Let all your thoughts dissipate as you breathe in and out. Pay attention to your breath moving in through your nostrils filling up your lungs and then being released as your lungs empty, breathing out through your mouth. Pause after you exhale for a few seconds then slowly breathe in for the count of four and be aware of the air entering your lungs and filling them. The deeper you breathe, the more oxygen enters your body and brain. This expands your consciousness and awareness and your entire body relaxes.
Breathe into and be aware of your womb. Put your hands on your 2nd chakra. Men also have a spirit womb. We want to go back into the unconscious memories of being in our mother’s and in the Great Mother’s womb.
Feel how you are totally loved and inseparable from the physical, spiritual and emotional ground with your mother. You are One with the Universe who is your Mother.If you had a difficult relationship with your mother, or if you were unwanted emotionally while your mother was pregnant, or you were abandoned, then this is the perfect time to heal those issues by connecting with the Divine Goddess.
Imagine that you go back in time to before you were born in this life. See and sense yourself as a small baby in utero. Listen. You will hear the pounding of the heartbeat of your mother, as a steady drum beat.Ba boom, ba boom, ba boom. This was the constant rhythm that accompanied every child every moment before birth. It is pitch black and you are weightless, floating in the amniotic sac. You have no thirst and no hunger, your needs are automatically cared for, continuously fed through your umbilicus and the placenta. Feel the sense of total ease, joy, connection, warmth, safety and security.
Imagine the Great Goddess, you can see her as Mary if you are Catholic, or as the Great Mother, Demeter, Yemaya or Kwan Yin.Feel her take you magically into her womb. Feel yourself having a joyous easy ecstatic birth. Feel the Great Mother take you to her breast and nurse you. Soak up the love for as long as you wish. You may fall asleep, that is ok. Remember that the Divine Mother has always been and will always be there to hold you, protect you and nurture you. You are safe, loved and secure. When you are filled with unconditional love then you have more than enough love in your heart to share to give unconditionally to others.
Come out of this meditation feeling content, blissed out, relaxed and satisfied. This is the peace. Do this meditation daily. Thank the Great Mother.
Pregnant mothers: this is an excellent moon to really connect with your unborn child. Think about giving birth in as natural a way as possible. It is the most important transition in anyone’s life. Water births are very safe and labor is easier for the mother and child. Get a midwife, she will empathize in a way that no doctor or gynecologist will. Home births are the safest and easiest for mothers.

I had brought 22 major tarot card trumps, the Guardian Angel “Da’at” card that comes with my old Thoth deck and the wishing card and there was one for each person. The energy was really uplifting. My beautiful friend Pam Gerrand sang an eclectic mix of traditional and jazzy Christmas songs, Joni Mitchell- River and her own beautiful spiritual compositions. My husband and daughter were there and some old friends. It felt lovely. I downloaded some directives. Pay close attention to the Full Moon in Cancer on Christmas Eve for a huge heart shifting opening. .
