I will light a Yahrzeit Memorial candle to remember my mother who passed away five years ago today on Erev Rosh Hashannah one of the most Holy days of the year to Jewish people. I was told that dying or being born on any of the High Holidays makes one a very spiritual person. That was nice timing on my Mom’s behalf. We were never really religious so I didn’t even know the customs. The irony is that there was no shiva or mourning for a week as is customary as Life takes precedence over death. It felt good and wrong at the same time. We just carried on. It was very like my mom who was very humble and couldnt;t receive praise. I love you Mom and thank you for birthing me. The odds of one Airline having two of its planes downed in disaster within a few months are billions to one.
