The world-wide coverage and outrage over the horrible murder of Cecil the Lion in Zimbabwe by Minnesota dentist Walter Palmer who cruelly lured the protected lion, shot him with arrows and injuring him instead of killing him. The poor regal King of beasts suffered for 40 hours until he was found. Palmer shot him with a rifle, beheaded and skinned him and took his body parts for a Trophy. Cecil did not die in vain, no. He has taken one for the team, he is actually the Lion acting as the sacrificial lamb. Rudolph Steiner, the great mystic wrote a lot about the Solar Lion.
Everything is symbolic and we are living in heightened archetypal awareness.
Venus Turned Retrograde exactly on the Fixed Star Regulus at Zero degrees of the VIRGO the “do Right” Goddess and what happens down below?
The “Fixed Star” Regulus, in the Constellation of LEO is the only star on the Ecliptic, the celestial equator. Regulus has huge import. Worshipped by the Ancient Egyptians, the Sphinx combines the Woman’s head with the Lion’s body and was built to honor the Age of Leo. Everything in the ancient world was based on Astronomy which was also Astrology back then, they were the same science. The Age of Leo was circa 2,160 x 6 = 12,960- 10,800 years ago when the Sphinx was built. Modern Archeologists refuse to admit the obvious truth. We are now on the cusp of the Age of Aquarius. It takes 25,920 years for the “Fixed Stars’ to make one complete Galactic Year and have one big cosmic birthday.
REGULUS, the “heart of the Lion”, aka Archangel Raphael entered Tropical VIRGO, the Sign of the Virgin Goddess of the earth, Ceres/Demeter, officially on November 28, 2011 for the first time in 2,00 years. It is the start of an entire New Era. We haven’t entered the Age of Aquarius yet, but we know we are officially at the start of the VIRGO era in TROPICAL Astrology. This is exactly what we need in order to survive. The Goddess is indeed returning. I heard her call 30 years ago.
In Greek Mythology Leo is the Nemean Lion which Heracles must slay in his 12 labors {Zodiac Signs} who becomes the Lion in the Constellation.
LEO is ruled by the Sun and we are in Leo times. Leo rules the Pituitary gland in the middle of the head, ruled by the 6th chakra. The gland controls both logical and emotional aspects of the personality. Leo is the EGO on a diminished level and the Light of the Soul in its highest expression of the heart. Leo symbolizes courage, creativity and the innocence of the child.
In the TAROT Trump #11 or 8 is STRENGTH, showing the Goddess holding the jaws of the Lion open. She has an infinity symbol over her head, like the Magician does in his card #1. We must be always infinitely vigilant in conquering the devouring hunger of the ego. When we do this the Lion becomes the Source, Light, heart sourced.
Venus symbol of love, is Retrograde and returns to Leo July 31. The 29th is the most critical degree and will re-conflagrate “Hot” issues on all levels. Saturn is also in square to Venus upping the KARMIC ante. Jupiter and Venus have been in close conjunction in the skies weeks before this and we were all enjoying the connection of the Goddess of Love and the King together they will rendezvous again August 4th.
The outrage over Cecil the LION’s death embodies the new Regulus in Virgo symbol for the death of the old age of the Rulership of the divine rights of Kings, who could rape, take or do whatever he wanted. The dentist also symbolizes the patriarchal egotistic, vain, arrogant energies of the conquering ego. As all of the Tarot symbols, planets and all of life has a dual nature, the hunter and the hunted are one and the same. The Trophy hunter is Dead, long live the Animals, the Goddess, her world.
We must have STRENGTH to overcome these antiquated macho killing games.
In essence the world-wide media attention means the game of killing animals for “sport” which is gobbledegook for murder from insecure psychopathic micro-penis machismo is also DEAD. I do hope that One lion changes the world.
These are powerful symbols and powerful times. Many countries use the Lion as their symbol. Great Britain, Afghanistan, Austria, Belgium,India, Iran, Kenya, Norway, Sri Lanka, the Tribe of Judah had the Lion symbol amongst others. All of those countries will symbolically have their Leonine energies transformed into earthy, practical, thrifty, intellectual, perfectionist, environmental Goddess territory and conserve the earth,the Divine Feminine and her gifts first.
SATURN is also extremely powerful and about to turn DIRECT AUGUST 1st at 29 degrees of SCORPIO. This creates a FIXED CROSS between LOVE and Karmic DUTY. The 29th degree of Scorpio is the degree of total transmutation, death, and rebirth.
These are major deep karmic Lessons in Love times. Lessons about loving ourselves as well. I have been feeling Saturn’s leaden knife cut deep into my psyche. The old Patriarchal voices of control, by father figures, authorities, and childhood memories of rejection, of feeling unloved and abandoned, these unconscious images arise from the depth to be processed and offered up to be transmuted.
Don’t be mute about it. Like Bill Cosby’s accusers all speaking out these days they are trans MUTING their silence.
Speak up about Cecil and all the needless Leo – arrogance and STOP it. Demand an end to killing animals for “sport” and more human treatment for all animals. By extension more Unconditional love for women and children, for all humans, and for the earth, the quality of the food we eat and the environment we all share. Virgo the Virgin means whole, complete, Oneness, it is opposite Pisces and they are two poles of the same spirit, one in matter and one in invisible spiritual form.

hi Evelyn when you see the world through TRANSPERSONAL eyes, Archetypal eyes than every bit of it is a symbol of a larger whole. It is all holographic. The animal consciousness is intersecting with human. Animals always symbolizes instincts, we need to reconnect with our instincts. The noise, the technology, the consumerism and being cut off from nature destroys it. That is our natural survival instinct. Cecil will be remembered. I pray his death creates permanent change in the way animals are treated and respected. The dentist killed himself, his own ego.
