The Biggest Super Moon of 2018 the WOLF MOON lights up the New Year.
HAPPY NEW YEAR
January 1st @ 6:24 pm PST/9:24 pm EST/ January. 2 @ 2:24 am GMT
It’s a CANCER FULL WOLF MOON with a beautiful GRAND WATER TRINE
between the Moon Neptune in PISCES and MARS in SCORPIO with JUPITER close by but not close enough for an actual trine { must be within 5 degrees}.
SUN VENUS and SATURN are bunched up in CAPRICORN and PLUTO opposing the Moon widely.
A Super Moon is when the moon is at perigee-closest to the earths’ core and its pull will be the strongest on our feelings majorly tugging at our heartstrings.
CANCER is the sign of the Mother the primal womb which every human being has experienced since the beginning of time as the MAtrix; the universe; the source. We yearn to return to the complete safety of our mother’s wombs. Cancer represents family safety security food nurturing nourishment our homes our childhood’s the unconscious memories and our need for emotional safety.
We will be feeling the pull of our yearning for this primal safety and the harsher CAPRICORN patriarchal duties and responsibilities in the world. For many women this is felt as the constant pull of the family versus career split.
The GRAND WATER TRINE’s effects will help us to realize that our closest relationships are the most important rewards in the world. Those who are closest to us are what the hungry wild wolf instincts in us longs for. Belonging to the pack.
CERES the GREAT MOTHER is also aligned with the NORTH NODE IN LEO
Leo is the creative self expressive will chakra. It symbolizes the heart the courage of the mother who fearlessly guards her young. Ceres is the nurturing mother who provides for all life on the earth and all of her children.
MERCURY @19 degrees SAGITTARIUS square NEPTUNE and CHIRON in PISCES
To heal our ancient karmic wounds we must have compassion for ourselves. It is our vulnerabilities and weaknesses which is what unites us in a common humanhood. We must use our ancient lupus voices in a new optimistic howling vision by speaking our truth.
Clarissa Pinkola Estes in her groundbreaking Women Who Run With The Wolves opened up the ancient ties of myth and the wild woman spirit the instinctual knowledge which is our true nature.
The CAPRICORN Patriarchal world; its history and civilization tries to brainwash enslave and limit humans with its rules and expected behaviors which it tells us that we have to play to win the goal of fame and worldly fortune. Capricorn is symbolized by THE DEVIL #15 in the TAROT. These Patriarchal rules its religions its brainwashing media and cultural expectations limit men as well as women.
All oppositions provide us with opportunites to find a middle ground. We must find a way to have both if that is what we choose in a new balanced way.
Our essences are free spirits we are wolves who are wild at heart. Wh care for our families who are in touch with our own inner authorities. Who live by the natural cycles of the Moon’s waxing and waning.
Trust your intuition. Listen to your wild instincts. Nurture and protect your inner child. Love and nurture those you love who are part of your pack.
REMEMBER WHO YOU REALLY ARE! This is the key message of a Number 11 year.

Full Moon in Leo, Leading with our Hearts, from Jan 23-24 2016
Sidney_Hall_-_Urania’s_Mirror_-_Leo_Major_and_Leo_Minor Sidney Hall [Public domain]
The first Full Moon of 2016, at 3+ degrees of Leo, arrives Jan 24 @ 1:45 a.m. GMT. It’s called the Old, Snow or Wolf Moon in Native American traditions and Almanacs. In the Southern Hemisphere, it’s called the Buck, Thunder or Mead Moon. These symbols all add extra meaning.
All Full Moons bring fulfillment. Leo is a Fixed Fire sign, of Royalty, leaders and the King of Beasts. Leo rules actor’s, actresses, it is naturally dramatic, flamboyant and domineering. Leo is strong in all those who love to be center of attention, commanding center stage. Leo is courage, passion, pride, will, and the heart.
Leo is the 5th sign which also rules children, creative self-expression, giving love, generosity of spirit and all acts of the heart. Aslan, the great lion from The Chronicles of Narnia, symbolizes Christ consciousness, you can call him into your ritual. This is a heart full of Soul Moon where we need to open our hearts fully, living with strength, passion and creativity.
Leo’s ruler is the SUN itself, which is the source of all Life, The Light, pure gold. Leo is the Fire of the Holy Spirit. When we are in touch with Spirit directly, Leo’s Golden fire energies, we are fearless, a burning flame of pure heartfelt clarity and intensity. Ancient Kings attained power through being shamans and healers for their people.
The Sun was also known as Sol, and the pun of Sol and soul is obvious. Think of a flamenco dancer’s passionate execution of will and strength in their performance as Leo energy.
The Tibetan Buddhists say that the Heart is the locus of the conscious mind and the physical brain is but the computer than makes the body function. The Native Americans say the same thing. Scientific research and The Heart Math institute’s work shows that the heart is primary and is the first organ developed in the fetus before the brain. The heart also has its own brain. Western culture has largely stopped using the heart as the prime mover as Indigenous peoples always have. We praise reason over passion.
The incidence of heart disease and heart attacks is one of the biggest killers in the Western world and is increasing for men and women as we stop listening to the passion in our hearts. This heart dis-ease also relates to balancing our lives with our dependence on Aquarius technology which tends to take us further and further away from our hearts and feelings. This Full Moon’s intention is to fully embrace the heart as central logos.
Leo’s shadow side is ego, greed, pride and being caught up in the power, prestige and wealth that Royalty commands. The right of Kings gave the old Lords the ability to rape, use and abuse anyone they wanted without punishment. We see this kingly egomania in the super-rich, the 1% who only care about their own wealth and power while raping, pillaging and scouring the earth for more and more stuff to assuage their egos, to make themselves feel immortal and imperishable like the Sun.
The Aquarius Sun opposite the Moon, rules technology, freedom, individuality, revolution, and higher consciousness balances the Leonine need for Selfhood with the needs of the group, for tribal unity and for each to express themselves in a non-hierarchical group.
MEDITATION ON THIS FULL MOON
TAROT cards of LEO
LEO is the sign on the Major Arcana of STRENGTH # 11 or 8 in the Tarot. The Sign of Strength, traditionally shows a woman holding open the jaws of a lion or riding a lion with an infinity symbol over her head, indicating that she has learned to control her unconscious animal instincts. Lionesses are fearless protectresses of their young and live in matrilineal groups. The Sign of Leo also symbolizes the Inner child who naturally expresses itself in art, song, dance and play.
The Court card for Leo is the Prince of Wands. The five, six and seven of wands represent each Decan of Leo.
If you have a Tarot deck pull out these cards to act as Guides and Mascots for this meditation. You can easily find these images online as well.

If you can be out in nature under the Full Moon that is best so you can moon bathe.
You will need to make a small fire or have RED or YELLOW or GOLD candles.
MUSIC: A trance drum heartbeat or metronome is ideal.
You can pre-record these instructions with pauses to listen to as you do the meditation.
Begin by smudging yourself first. Light your candles. One for each direction. I always work EAST to SOUTH to WEST TO NORTH. Always move clockwise. Call in the four elements and the four directions into your sacred circle. Call in the four Archangels, Michael, Gabriel, Ariel, RAPHAEL in the same order.
Have a rattle, spoon or something to keep rhythm with if sitting.
Center yourself by breathing, sit or lie down, close your eyes.
Begin to breathe, naturally deeply, sending your breath down your spine into your root chakra. Enjoy the feeling of being a live spark of spirit. With your intention send your breath down your spine ruled by Leo, into Mother earth to ground you. Mother earth also has a heart flame at her center. Go down and merge with her fire and then breathe it back up through your tail bone, bringing the hot breath up through each chakra one at a time from the root to your HEART CHAKRA, The color is dark green, sometimes tinged with pink. You may feel your heart expand and feel hotter.
Feel your heartbeat. Sense your heart. In your imagination go into your heart. Imagine entering the walls of your heart and noting the four chambers. You will hear the loud pounding and the swishing of the blood. It will most likely be dark, you can state Let there be light and watch it light up. See the walls of your hearts inner landscape. Let go of any preconceptions. Allow yourself to be present in your heart scape. Ask yourself which heart chamber you need to visit. Follow your subtle feelings. Touch the walls of your heart, the more fully you sense this the better. Will yourself into one of the chambers in your heart or if that doesn’t feel appropriate just stay centered. Feel yourself vibrating with the drumming of your heart.
Ask for your courage, will, creativity and self-expression to expand. Call it. Be open, it may be a large cat, a black panther, lion or lioness, cougar, leopard or cheetah. The animal may be a totally different type, so whatever shows up is fine. An alligator, hippo, a shark, whale, eagle, dolphin, turtle, trust that is what you need.
Welcome your power animal. Thank them for appearing. Ask questions of them if you have specific ones or just say I am open to receiving your wisdom, love and protection. If no animal appears, just stay in your heart and breathe love and feel the love that emanates from your heart. If there are blocks or pain then call upon Archangel Raphael to help heal your heart. If you need to cry then do so, use the pull of the moon to let your feelings out.
This conversation may take a while. Simply surrender. Begin to meld with the animal spirit, feel every muscle, breath in harmony with one another. Revel in your instinctual natural body strength, wisdom and energy. Trust the process. You may be given directions. Let go of your false vanities and your selfies. Vow to follow them, to open your heart, to source your strength.
When you feel fully saturated, thank your power animal from the bottom of your heart. Slowly extricate yourself and come back slowly to full consciousness and awareness. Write down or record your experience.
Feel the tenderness, strength courage healing and passion pumping in your veins. Vow to love yourself and others more, to care for your heart and those you love. Vow to star in your own life and your own movie. You are the Queen of King of your own Life. Vow to protect animal rights and the innocent. Vow to play with your inner child more, dance more, be creative in everything you do. “Follow your bliss” as Joseph Campbell famously said.
Blessings,
TARA

This Cancer Full Moon is known as The Wolf Moon in Native American teachings.
The Cardinal Cross energy of this Full Moon also reminds me of a Native Medicine Wheel, with the 4 directions marked now as the Sun and Pluto in the North { element of Air } Uranus and the South Node in Aries in the East {Fire element} the Moon in the South { Cancer } Water element, and the North Node in Libra in the West as EARTH as it would be in the Medicine Wheel Indigenous Teachings that I studied. Each tradition places the elements in different directions. Astrology has the masculine elements aligned in oppositions. In Indigenous or wiccan teachings they are usually opposite masculine/feminine magnetic forces.
We are in the Cardinal Cross hairs most definitely on this Full Moon and it;s making my tummy feel very queasy and teary.
I have felt a lot of deep shadow material surfacing. This may feel unpleasant physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually but it is good. Cleansing. Tears are good, wash away the pain.
I love wolves, I always have. I think it stems from a fantastic book that I read from the library when I was a child which I still fondly remember called The Wolf King written by Joseph W. Lippincott in 1949 about a giant black wolf in Alberta. Remember that whatever it is you are attracted to, and pay attention to will come to you. That is the Law of Attraction.
Use the energy of the wolf to help guide you over the next two weeks until the New Moon in Aquarius, or whenever you like.Wolves need to be protected and respected, not feared. Wolves are highly intelligent pack animals, who mate for life.
Wolves have powerful instincts, and symbolize intuition as they are so tied into the lunar forces, singing and howling at Full Moons. Have you ever heard wolf howls on the Full Moons? Wolf characteristics are loyalty and trust. They are great communicators, symbolizing teachers, leaders and organizers as they live and work in packs.
Romulus and Remus, the founders of Rome were nursed by a great she-wolf. Mongolians believed they are descendants of wolves. The modern fear of wolves in fairy tales, is a smear campaign designed to keep individuals from trusting their primal instincts. If you own a dog, you know how loyal and big dog’s hearts are. Wolves are the ancestors of all modern dog breeds and they became mans best friend. I have friends who have hand raised pure breed wolves and they can be tamed and are very much like huskies or shepherds.
My family and I had an amazing encounter with a wolf in British Columbia years ago. We were driving outside of a small town in the Kootenay’s, called Kaslo, on a two lane highway in broad daylight. A huge black animal sprung out from the woods and stopped and stood mid-lane down the road, staring right at us. We thought it was a black bear as it took up almost the entire lane in width. Then we noticed its large bushy tail which almost touched the ground. It had piercing golden eyes which were fixed at us. We tried to slow down but couldn’t as we had a large lumber truck behind us and there was no shoulder to stop at. The black timber wolf was amazing, dignified, fearless. It stood its ground until our car got too close, then it leaped into the woods and disappeared. In a few minutes we were in Kaslo and checked in at the small tourist information stop. We told them about the wolf, and they said. “Strange to see a lone wolf outside in the day. Very strange. Haven’t seen a big timber wolf in awhile.” We knew we had been blessed. I still have that golden eyed wolf gaze embedded in my heart. He was the real Wolf King I’d read about when I was a child. He or she is my spirit guide, totem animal. Have you had experiences like this?
MEDITATE with the wolf while the Moon is Full and on every full moon.
Do you feel like a lone wolf without a pack, support or a mate? Then call the wolves to be by your side. Do you have difficulty trusting people, or your instincts? Call upon the wolf.
Before this meditation prepare some food for the wolf as an offering is good to attract wolf spirits. You could use meat or dog food.
In your meditation, visualize a wolf. Call the wolf to guide, teach protect and help you now. Howl like a wolf. Be patient, they are cautious. You will feel its presence. You may smell its breath, or feel its fur, which is soft. Treat it with much respect when it appears, or speaks to you telepathically. They are powerful teachers.
Ask the wolves to come into your dreams. Dreaming about a wolf according to Native American tradition symbolizes beauty, mystery, solitude, self-confidence and pride.
Let me know how your wolf meditation and dreaming go please.
I was rereading that classic Women Who Run with the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes.
Ok You won’t believe this. I almost can’t. A small miracle has occurred. Talking about attracting what you put your energy into. I had an old audio tape of a Canadian singer, Nancy Ward that I’d adored and I’ve been searching for in my house for years. It has a song called WE ARE WOLVES which has moved my soul unlike almost no other song. It always brings me to tears. I love to sing it. I just found it after many years. Thank you thank you. The album was produced by Jack Lenz. They are both members of the Bahai community.
