Very rare Aquarius New Moon karma

I was waiting to write about this Aquarius Ingress and about the New Moon at zero degrees of the 11th sign which is on Jan 20 @ 8:14 a.m. EST.

I received a channeled message about this New Moon. “I sing the body electric” which is a Walt Whitman poem- see below

Aquarius, means River of  Stars. It is not a water but an Air sign. The symbol of the water-bearer is based on Hyas who was killed by wild beasts while fetching water from the river. His sisters make rain when they weep for him, hence the sign’s association with air.

Aquarius Tara greene

Here is part of this epic poem;

“The man’s body is sacred and the woman’s body is sacred,

No matter who it is, it is sacred—is it the meanest one in the laborers’ gang?

Is it one of the dull-faced immigrants just landed on the wharf?

Each belongs here or anywhere just as much as the well-off, just as much as you,

Each has his or her place in the procession.

(All is a procession,

The universe is a procession with measured and perfect motion.)”

It sounds very Aquarian. Each one has their own place and are all equal. Don’t you think?

AQUARIUS’s message of Higher Consciousness, seeing the BIG PICTURE is looming large in the Stellar firmament these days for a number of reasons.

There is  VERY RARE Karma to this New Moon.

Firstly, URANUS, the planetary ruler of Aquarius is in an exact conjunction to the SOUTH NODE of the Moon and still in a tight square to Pluto in Capricorn.

Conjunctions to the Nodes mark evolutionary karmic turning points.

In Aquarius these are initiations into new higher levels of consciousness and awareness.

The last time Uranus conjoined the South Node in Aries was  June 2, 1847 at 17 degrees. Pluto was also in Aries at 26 degrees then. This coincides with the California Gold Rush in 1848.

How is this similar to now?

Samuel Colt sells his first revolver to the U.S. government.  -guns

The Mexican American war ends.- Mexico/U.S. and foreign relations

The Birth of San Francisco as it changes its names from Yerba Buena.

Wars in New Zealand.

The American Medical Association is Founded.

U.S. issues its first postage stamps.

Liberia gains its independence. Symbol of independence for blacks in Africa.-still is happening.

Brigham Young establishes Salt Lake City in Utah.

The Vegetarian Society is formed in England.

The last time Pluto in Capricorn squared the South Node in Aries was on November 14, 1772 at 19 degrees. Uranus was in Taurus at 22 degrees at the time.  This was during the American Revolutionary War. -Revolution is Aquarius’s middle name.

The last time Uranus was conjunct the South Node in Aries with Pluto squaring the South Node from Cancer was on Jan 17 1680 at 12 degrees. The Pluto placement is exactly opposite of where we are now.

The great comet of 1680 which was spectacularly bright. We are having Comet Lovejoy amongst many others.

The Pueblo Indians capture Santa Fe from the Spanish.

The Comedie-Francais is founded by decree by King Louis IV.

But the last time this particular alignment of Uranus with the South Node and Pluto in Capricorn hasn’t happened in more than 2,600 years! The rarity of this specific event  suggests that this year could be one of the most pivotal times in human history.

The New Moon also squares the degree of the last Solar eclipse on October 23 2014 at Zero degrees + of Scorpio. This New moon amplifies the energies that were seeded then. Check out where that degree falls in your natal chart.

This New Moon features Mercury and Venus cheek to cheek in Aquarius with the Sun and Moon.

Mercury is spending twice as long as usual in Aquarius from Jan 4- March 12.

4 Aquarian planets is a quadruply Aquarian message of bringing in new ideas, new ways to communicate and understand other people’s’ ways of thinking. Freedom, thinking about the use of our new technologies, revolution, detachment and to remember to breathe. All air signs relate to breathing as well as mental, analytical and communications functions.

MERCURY is turning Retrograde on Jan 21 @ 17 degrees 05 minutes at 7:54 am PST/ 10:54 am EST. 3;54 pm GMT until February 11th @ 01 Aquarius.

Nothing to fear here. Mercury Retrograde’s are always GOOD medicine.

Rx, the symbol of Mercury Retro is a prescription to slow down, to re-analyze, revisit, review, relax, relate, renovate, you get the message.

You know the don’ts – Don’t buy anything new.  Don’t start a new project. Don’t sign on the dotted line.

Do Double and triple check all communications and messages.

Saturn in Sagittarius  in an applying square to Neptune in Pisces

Saturn in Sagittarius brings a sobering message combining  hope and optimism. Neptune in Pisces asks us to open our emotions and surrender our egos. To reconnect with Bliss and in Oneness consciousness. Very much like Aquarius’s mission. We are bringing our highest intentions down to earth.

Aquarius is group mind.

Meditate this day and for the next three days. Set your intention to connect with all other minds and the cosmic collective mind.  Feel your consciousness expand out and sense you’re connecting with others. We are here to support one another to raise our consciousness higher.

Aquarius rules faith healers.  Have faith that you can heal yourself and that collectively we can heal the world. As each individual raises their vibration it affects everyone else for the better.

Create new intentions on a broad perspective. Draw out an 8 spoked wheel and outline what you want to create and how you can expand your vision and your effect on the collective this year.

2 AQUARIUS NEW MOON’S IN A ROW

The Next New Moon is also in Aquarius on Feb 18. It;s  rare to have two consecutive New Moons in the same sign.  In a month we can check into our AQUARIUS collective progress.

Please share widely.

Napoleon Brousseau

Fascinating portrait paintings of apparitions from the imaginal realm

inspired by Walt Whitman’s poem, “Eidolon”.

I met a seer,

Passing the hues and objects of the world,

The fields of art and learning, pleasure, sense,

To glean eidolons.

http://robertkananajgallery.com/

Napoleon Brousseau spent several years in trance meditation states, painting and stalking these elusive eidolons and fantomes which he has so powerfully pinned down in this series of nineteen portrait paintings. The paintings scintillate and respond to the viewers gaze, largely because of Brousseau’s “roll, grind, roll, brush, repeat” technique he created in order to wrestle his subjects down into the dimensions of each work.

Each painting expressing each phantom’s own intriguing individuality and personality. One is a Christ like apparition, another a chimeric mask. The portraits appear to tangibly push forward into the viewers’ space, trying to enter into our dimension.Viewing each one is fascinating encounter and leaves an enduring impression, they are quite unforgettable.

Abraham Lincoln appears and disappears from behind a chain link fence, the dividing poverty line. “Mister Bitumen” beguiles us with his bulbous reflective death mask floating ominously over a ghostly skull. Mister Bitumen was inspired by the environmental damage of the Alberta Tar Sands.

“I began from a meditative process, I held an ideal and went searching, rolling and re- rolling multiple layers of paint. When the ghostly image finally revealed itself,I sealed it in epoxy. Then I ground down the paint and resumed rolling more layers in search of more details ” Grind, roll, repeat, the process took a long time.

Napoleon Brousseau is well known for his giant ant sculptures adorning the Museum of Canadian Contemporary Art in Toronto and The Cameron House, a famous local art bar. Napoleon collaborated with Fastwurms which presented innovative eco installations worldwide. Brousseau is a world traveler who has shown and created continuously, working in many mediums- which always confronts the viewer with a distinctive perspective from the usual way of seeing the world.

A seasoned veteran of the Toronto art scene. Brousseau devoted most of the last seven years to Art Directing his new media eco fundraising project “SEED” which uses cell phones interactively to co-create digital trees which raises funds to plant actual trees in urban settings. Seed has been presented in Canada, the US, China, Australia and The McMichael Art Gallery, Kleinburg 2012.

I love art. Everyone has a secret desire to be an artist. Admit it. To be an artist is to live creatively, to live life freely. I started out as an artist, I went to Art High School and Art College. I had shows in New York , Los Angeles and Toronto.

Everyone Loves Banksy, he is a very  clever man, Did you see the film Exit Through the Gift Shop? Banksy made it about Mr. Brainwash. This is not about street art but about an artist who does amazing work.

this is a promotional ART Blogpost.

Napoleon Brousseau

Napoleon Brouseau’s talents are enormous. He lived in New York years ago and knew Jean-Michel Basquiat and Andy Warhol. He met Frederico Fellini, worked on the Pee Wee Herman TV show building props. He was an art director at Area Nightclub for some time.

Napoleon has paint in his veins. He is the real deal, he has lived the artists life fully and has wonderful and funny stories to tell. He should have been killed about five times already and survived because he has a destiny as an artist to keep creating to keep bringing his soul into manifestation. It takes tenacity to really live like a true artist. Plus he is that very rare artist who is also a nice guy.

His talents are vast and deep, he is always pushing his own edge. Collector’s need to find him, because his time is NOW>

At the opening of this show other artists and gallerists were exclaiming that each painting was museum quality.

So get up to Toronto Canada asap the show runs till December 8 2012

They really need to be seen as the layers of surface are scintillating. They are like modern Rembrandt portraits. Really!

Yes the Frida Kahlo show is on at the Art Gallery of Ontario, she is my female art heroine. Napoleon is my art hero.

“Returning: Le Fantôme de la Mémoire”

 November 8 – December 8 2012

A series of 19 portrait paintings of apparitions

from the imaginal realms

inspired by Walt Whitman’s poem “Eidolons”

                                                                         I met a seer,

Passing the hues and objects of the world,

The fields of art and learning, pleasure, sense,

To glean eidolons.

Meet Mr. Bitumen

The poster boy for the show, Mr. B. appears from a dream dimension of his own, portrayed as a bulbous reflective death mask floating ominously over a ghostly Michael Jackson skull. Mister Bitumen is the phantom of future passed inspired by the environmental damage caused by the Alberta Tar Sands.

Each portrait contains a powerful presence and reveals its’ subjects’ own idiosyncratic essence. Brousseau spent several years painting in what he calls trance and meditation states stalking these eidolons and phantoms that he has pinned down in his paintings.

 Jesus apparition

There is the eidolon of Jesus Christ; in another, Abraham Lincoln appears and disappears through a chain link fence, the dividing poverty line. Other portraits are of beings from realms unknown. They appear to be looking curiously at the viewer, pushing forward from their space, trying to enter into our dimension.

 Abe Lincoln eidolon portrait

Brousseau created the works through a long meditative process. The painting are created using his own applied techniques.  He used many types of hand cut rollers with repeated images and applies multiple layers of paint to find the ghostly images. Once they reveal themselves, they are sealed in epoxy. The painting surface, is ground down then he rolls, grinds and brushes over and over in layers in search of more details. It’s like an archaeological dig.

Each painting is a dazzling show stopper. These beguiling phantoms and memories enchant the viewer, leaving an indelible impression.

Napoleon Brousseau is well known in Toronto for his giant ant sculptures that adorn the Museum of Canadian Contemporary Art in Toronto and The Cameron House, a famous local art bar.  Brousseau continuously produces astonishing new bodies of work in various mediums. He explores many themes -gender, politics, eroticism, and nature. His works always confronts the viewer with his distinctive perspective of seeing the world.

For the last seven years Brousseau has been the Art Director for his new media eco fundraising project “SEED”, which transforms cell phones into interactive artist tools. The public co-creates virtual trees with their phones which directly contributes funds to planting real trees in urban settings. Seed has been presented at the Winter Olympics 2010, Canada, the U.S., China, Australia and at The McMichael Art Gallery in Kleinburg 2012. A dedicated artist, he is a world traveller and is producing several books from his drawings of exotic explorations.

Art, Venus in Libra, Neptune in Pisces astrology Tara Greene

ART, artists, Astrology

VENUS besides ruling women, relationships, values, money, luxury also rules beauty and the ARTS.

I was born with Venus in Libra.

I started out telling my very surprised mother that I was going to be an artist when I grew up when I  was nine years old.

I loved to draw, and  danced from the age of 5, loved to sing, and wrote poems, dreamed and fantasized a lot. I was interested in metaphysics, mysticism, the occult since I was very young. I was always a unique individual, against the mainstream, also born psychic. Art allowed me to express my soul.

Art and all artistic endeavours, painting, music, dance, writing, acting are all ruled by VENUS, who co-rules Feminine earthy sensual Taurus and the  airy Masculine sign of LIBRA.

NEPTUNE is considered to be Libra’s Higher Octave, and in modern Western tropical astrology Neptune rules the sign of PISCES, the sign of spirit, of the Source, which all artists must channel through. Neptune rules illusions, fantasy, film and photography, addictions, delusions.

As Venus is in Libra now and will be From Oct.28 to Nov.21st Venus the Goddess of beauty is impelling me to talk about ART.  ART is necessary to feed the beauty of your soul. In Europe and in most 3rd world countries, Art is a part of everyone’s daily life. Art is as essential as your daily bread.

Neptune rules artists as shaman’s, shape shifters. They must channel through spirit and many are alcoholics, addicts as the dark side of Neptune.

With Neptune at zero degrees of its own sign NOW and for the next 14 years. ART and Spirituality will be a very important part of our need for beauty and artistic creative self expression.

I was born with Venus in Libra exactlly conjunct NEPTUNE at 20 degrees. I can’t really separate Neptune from Venus.

So to me Art is always about spirtuality, the soul expressing itself. Especially in visual arts, as the soul always  speaks in images, symbols, icons, in dreams, it has no real spoken language. We are naturally image makers.

So lets look at Venus in Libra and Neptune in some famous artists charts.

Leonardo da Vinci

Leonardo da Vinci Astrology

click on chart to view larger

Leonardo Da Vinci one of the most famous and deservedly so artists and genius’ in the world and Venus and Neptune are very strong in his natal chart.

Born illegitimately on April 15 1452 Old Style, his birth date has been changed to accord with Gregorian calendars to April 23 with a birth time recorded as close to 9:40 pm. The chart has been used by Astro data Bank.

Leonardo has Venus dignified in Taurus @ 24 degrees in the 6th house of work discipline, service. Born with Neptune Retrograde at Zero degrees of LIBRA, Venus trines Neptune which is the highest elevated Planet in the 10th house of worldly fame. Saturn sign of hard work, discipline is also in Libra where it is exalted.

Jupiter is in his home Feminine sign of PISCES.

the ruler of Pisces in Traditional astrology is conjunct Leonardo’s  very imaginative, spiritual, mutable, artistic Moon, which it rules in the 3rd house of communications.

Leonardo also has a SAGITTARIUS Ascendant

6 degrees of Sagittarius. Also ruled by Jupiter. Jupiter is expansive, metaphysical, aiming higher, reaching for the stars, honest. I was pleasantly surprised to see it  is the degree of my Sun!

PICASSO born Oct 25 1881 Malaga Spain 11:15 pm

Has Venus at 4 degrees of LIBRA dignified in his 3rd house of communicating

Was born with 5 planets in TAURUS, all Venus ruled

Saturn at 9 degrees Retrograde in the 10th house

Neptune at 15 degrees Taurus Retrograde in the 10th

Chiron at 22 degrees Taurus in the 10th house

Jupiter at 23 degrees TAurus retrograde in the 10th house

Pluto at 28 degrees Taurus Retrograde in the 10th house

If anyone was born with a chart to  be a wealthy world-famous artist it is definitely PICASSO!

and co-incidentally Picasso‘s Moon, his Unconscious is at 8 degrees of Sagittarius conjunct his North Node at 9 degrees Sagittarius which is also conjunct to Leonardo’s chart. Which makes me think that perhaps Leonardo re-incarnated as Picasso. Those specific Sagittarius degrees are also conjunct to major fixed Star Antares.
