How to Set up an altar to love.

An altar is simply a special space you set aside which you make sacred, by  focusing  your heart-felt prayers and spiritual focus on.  Set up a special place to honor the energy of that which you wish to work with or manifest and use the symbols, signs, herbs, crystals, colors, candles, associations and meanings, plus your Intention. It doesn’t have to be elaborate or expensive. Simpler is usually better. See mine above.

Use Venusian beautiful things, fabrics- silks; colors- blues and greens;fresh flowers, copper is Venus metal. A beautiful bowl of water for Neptune in Pisces. Dolphin or mermaid imagery. Crystals hold energy- amethyst.  Photos of the Venus, Botticelli’s famous painting or create something yourself – Venus rules artists  create a watercolor image which symbolizes you and your beloved. Symbols of wedding rings, lovers holding hands,  quotes that inspire you.  Here’s one of my favorites.

Sit in front of your altar. Light a candle to Venus and Neptune. Use some beautiful incense and fresh roses, you want to set a romantic reverent mood. There is always an offering to the Gods. Breathe deeply and slowly into your belly and heart. This is a magical ritual act. Call upon the God and Goddess -Venus and Neptune to be with you. Visualize yourself and your Beloved- the image, sensation, warmth, light and heart connection. Feel it  fully. Relax into it. Feel how safe, secure, strong, open hearted, melted into Oneness you feel. You don’t have to picture it perfectly, its more a felt sense in the present moment. Pray to the Goddess of Love and the God of Spirit, the Unconscious to bring you and your beloved together in the physical world. Hold that energy.

Then write an affirmation of thanks to the Goddess and God for this relationship, as if it has already happened, as if it exists. Write how wonderful it is to be with your beloved and name all the things you love about them and the wonderful things they love about you. Write about what you do and share in great detail.Write also about what you do together in truth, integrity, honesty and how your love overflows and is there to uplift the world, so that you bless and benefit your community. Also write about how you remember the sacred duties of love and that your own individual connection to the Divine is first and foremost. Then put it away in an envelope after you finish your ritual. Seal it with your spit, a tear, some sweat and then allow the Great Mystery do its work. Have faith. Treat yourself the way you wish to be treated and treat others the same way.

Do this ritual for as long as you wish. Ask if you are truly ready to receive this. If there are blocks in the body take note, See what comes up. There may be further work to do on that. 

With Venus in Virgo its also Pennies from Heaven.

Use this to manifest freedom from debt. Neptune rules debt and Venus in Virgo balances the budget. Set budget goals. Cut up your credit cards and only buy what you can actually pay for with money in hand. Scale back on excess spending. Save up and harvest, this is the season for a rainy day.

MAGICAL QUINTILE ASPECT between The NORTH NODE & PLUTO now

What is a QUINTILE? Not to be confused with a Quincunx.

A quintile is the division of  a 360 degree circle into 5 equal parts. It’s a Pentagram formation, sacred to Venus. It consists of a sextile of 60 degrees + 1/5 of that amount. 60 + 12 = 72. A quintile is  any 72 degree aspect between planets.

The number 72 is very sacred as it is about how long it takes a “Fixed Star’ to move one degree. It is half of the sacred 144 which is mentioned as 144,000 enlightened beings it will take to shift the world’s consciousness. 

The NORTH NODE

represents our collective and personal highest spiritual goal. The NN travels around in approximately 19 year repeating cycles. The sacred stones of Callanish Scotland and other famous stones circles are cosmic clocks mapping the solar and lunar cycles which create eclipses. Eclipses can only occur when the Sun and the Moon align closely with the transiting NODES OF THE MOON.

There is a SOUTH NODE directly opposite to the North.

Esoterically the SOUTH NODE represents the collective past. It is a karmic intake spot, it is your past lives, and your DNA, it can be your families “story.:  

Each person has their North Node, called the DRAGON’S HEAD and the South Node is the Dragon’s Tail in their astrology charts.

In some branches of Astrology, in Indian Vedic Astrology the North Node  is one of the most powerful aspects in the chart.

With Pluto and the North Node in this blessed angle we can really work out our karma.  Especially with the NORTH NODE in Scorpio, which is the energy we’ve been working with for the last 1.5 years, this is about throwing the ONE RING to rule them all into the Fires of MORDOR for good. ie. SCORPIO is a Triple aspected evolutionary SOUL sign,

Passing from the Unconsciousness stage of the SCORPION for which it is notoriously famous for its poisonous sting. This is the ruthless, use and toss for power and control aspect which way too many of us have been stung by.

Chiron’s been Retrograde since July 1st, that’s Canada’s Birthday and you know what’s going on up in Canada these days. Don’t you? What with Toronto Mayor Rob Ford being the laughing stock and fodder for all the U.S. late night talk shows and now CNN. It’s painful. I’m praying for some slow sweet healing from all of this.

CHIRON DIRECT, is squared by the MOON which is also squaring Mars in Virgo. STOP NITPICKING already! Although the good of that is cleanliness. I am living in another wave of renovations and its very Uranian around here. My husband is going through his Uranus square his Mercury in Capricorn and Pluto on his Capricorn Sun.  So a positive way of integrating these  heavy energies is to deflect some of it into a physical – Capricorn object or form. RENOVATION is a perfect metaphor.

I highly recommend that you substitute a stand in for the planetary energies affecting you by transit. Positive voodoo. You still have to work though it on an emotional and spiritual level but it is a way of sculpting the energies shall we say.

Sagittarius loves to laugh. At the darkest time of the year in the northern Hemisphere we need to be buoyant to get us through the short dark friggin freezing months ahead in order to survive.

“It’s not such a good time for Toronto,” she added. “It’s a testing time.”

In terms of ousted Mayor Rob Ford, whose fate on council has yet to be determined, Greene pulled three tarot cards that pointed to an ominous future for

{Ford’s} in a benevolent zone right now, but I don’t  think that’s going to last.” Said Greene, predicting thathis time at the city’s helm  would end in March.

ROB FORD got elected by a bunch of conservatives in the amalgamated GTA.  He’s single-handedly – with crack pipe in it, made Toronto the laughing-stock of the world.  1,000 citizens protested at City Hall November 13.

Rob Ford, whose Guardian Angel is AMY WINEHOUSE, ranted and raved and is totally in denial. He’s a psychotic, narcissistic, child buffoon.

Here’s my take on it.

 Rob Ford you are doing  the world a favour because we can see how idiotic this macho, ignorance is. This CANADIAN bacon bespoke,  strutting around like a total ass to everyone’s amazement. The total ego state- everyone  owe’s me attitude which has infected the entire world looks like this. He is a psychopath.  He can’t last much longer. I see him being marched out in handcuffs. He is like a raging bull. His brother Doug and him have been into drugs and gangs since they were teenagers. They  come from a wealthy family. Do you remember the great white north? From SCTV

Yes, cities like people have birth charts too. Toronto is supposed to be a Sagittarius city and that always made sense to me. It is so multicultural.

Toronto’s nick name is HOGTOWN. As it was once a major animal butchery place.

Toronto is listed in some places as a Sagittarian city but I can’t find a date to back that up. Founded March 6 1884 as Toronto, it’s technically a Pisces town. Situated on Lake Ontario, one of the 5 Great lakes that kinda makes sense. Once known as the City of Churches, {and banks}. Yes we love films here, theatre, dance,comedy and the arts.

That also explains to me why we have a drug addicted, boozing mayor now too.Rob Ford the crack head lying rotund mayor who refuses to quit.

The recent amalgamation on January 1, 1998 incorporating Mississauga, etc and other outlying areas into one Megacity makes it CAPRICORN now. It has always had very conservative energy.

Yes Toronto’s new amalgamated SUN is going through its own PLUTO TRANSIT Pluto is conjunct its “world class” Sun identity, with Mayor Rob Ford’s large Plutonic shadow in the world’s news. LOL. I love Astrology. You can see it in the world. 

Uranus is also exactly squaring the Big Tomato’s energy now. So this town definitely need some spanking new hi tech improvements. Out with the old and adapt to the new or die.

Toronto keeps squabbling about literal Transit improvements to the TTC, such as LRT or extending the Subway. But what it really needs to focus on is its Astrology transits. Toronto has a large public transit system but it is outdated and doesn’t serve the full expanse of the city now.

But the downtown hasn’t been planned properly and traffic jams are also the worst in North America. it may end up going bankrupt as New York did years ago. It needs this Uranus Pluto overhaul to make it into a truly livable city.

The first card, the Knight of Wands, represents the situation he is in as a leader;

the second, the Prince of Cups, represents power, control and secrets;

and the third, one of the worst cards to choose, is the 9 of Swords, representing a negative outcome.

“There’s going to be a lot of tension in the city, said Tara Greene, a Toronto- based astrologer and psychic whose tarot cards warned of a rocky year ahead for Canada’s largest city.

 Let’s begin with city hall.

 After a year that saw municipal politics dominate headlines for all the wrong reasons, Greene’s astrology chart and tarot card readings pointed to yet another stretch of instability and political strife, with concerns over “corruption” and council’s lack of cohesion resulting in more questions than answers over what to do about the city’s ageing infrastructure.

 Greene said the city will continue to neglect its infrastructural needs as condominiums rise and the city’s streets clog  with traffic unless the city welcomes Major political changes.

 “It sounds like the City of Toronto is going to through a huge upheaval,” she said. “This is a critical “make it or break it” time.. if  the city is going to survive as a viable world-class city, it’s going to have to change.”

“It’s not such a good time for Toronto,” she added. “It’s a testing time.”

In terms of ousted Mayor Rob Ford, whose fate on council has yet to be determined, Greene pulled three tarot cards that pointed to an ominous future for

The man- the Knight of Wands { a leader}, the Prince of Cups { power, control and secrets} and the 9 of Swords { a negative outcome}.

{Ford’s} in a benevolent zone right now, but I don’t  think that’s going to last.” Said Greene, predicting that his time at the city’s helm  would end in March.
