The Planet Uranus is the planet of WEIRD or wyyrd. It orbits at a 90 degree angle. It governs the Sign of Aquarius in Modern Western Astrology. Uranus is a transpersonal planet, it moves slowly, taking 84 years to make one return. It governs higher consciousness, as the higher octave of Mercury. It Rules the Internet, new technologies, Revolutions, freedom, independence, chaos, inventiveness, rebellions, chaos, electricity, video games,  breakthroughs and breakdowns of old structures, clarity of mind, group thinking, explosions, chanellers, exorcism, catastrophes, bullets, potassium chloride, camaraderie, Russia. A Fixed Air sign, it’s often associated with Lightning, Uranus can give us stunning often literally insights, chaos, higher consciousness. 

Interesting that the Winter Olympics are in Russia in 2014. They should do outstandingly well on their home turf.

The Sign of Aquarius is associated with THE STAR #17 in the Tarot Trumps. A sign of Hope and looking to the stars, Heavens for insights and guidance.
Uranus goes DIRECT a mere eight hours after the Gemini Full Moon. I’m writing about that separately.
