Equinox Astrology

As the Sun enters the sign of LIBRA peace balance and harmony a new season begins, autumn starts in the Northern Hemisphere and Spring begins in the Southern.

Equinox means equal day and night and it falls on Sept 23 @ 12:50 am  PDT /3:50 am. pm EDT/ Sept. 23 @ 7:50 am GMT. The Masculine and Feminine powers are balanced. This is an excellent time to bring our own inner masc. and fem. together as equals.

The Moon is in Cancer at the 15th degree conjunct to the North Node at 14 degrees conjunct to Sirius and the  U.S. Sun opposite Saturn and the South Node at 13 and 14 degrees and Pluto at 20 Rx Capricorn.

Saturn on the South Node is a great karmic time to release the past Patriarchal structures, rules, shoulds and responsibilities. Seniors, corporate structure, fathers, authority figures are at the end of a karmic cycle and a new more integrated emotionally nurturing energy is coming in. We are not just doing our jobs according to expectations and past history doesn’t count the same way. Plus add PLUTO s transformative powers into that mix.

Think feelings Mercury in Cancer

Mercury enters CANCER June 4- 26  which blend our mental focus and our conversations with our feelings. That is a good thing. Mercury is not that comfy in watery emotional Cancer though.

Mercury is in Cancer June 4-26 a quick dip into the oceanic moody depths with our minds. If information be the food of love this is your time. Feed your mind and your tummy at the same time. 

We are analyzing through an emotional filter and our thoughts will be more tender, sentimental, receptive and nurturing.  

Mercury is the Magician #1 in the Tarot and The Sign of Cancer is symbolized byt #7 The Chariot.

Cancer is the First Cardinal Water sign it represents the mother, the womb, the unconscious, the sea as the womb of all life on earth, nurturing, nourishment, food, shelter, emotional security and children, it is ruled by the moon.

THINK about the women and the children and the homeless and the hungry and those who feel like motherless children. 

Cancer is MOM, families, home, our roots, ancestors, our moods, our emotional security needs, literally where we live,  our emotional grounding, early childhoods, our tummies, what we nurture and how we nourish ourselves or not. Real estate, food and endings are also Cancerian 4th house energies. This is the sign/ house of privacy, symbolic midnight, the womb, everyone’s source. 

MERCURY in CANCER TO DO –

Have lots of family dinners, house parties, BBQ,’s happy family gatherings, get togethers, gatherings and generally lots of good eating. FOODIES rejoice. Cancer energy is all about the tummy’s fulfillment.

This is very fertile energy if you are trying to get pregnant. Or give birth to anything metaphorically speaking. 

Think about your Mother, Cancer is the Mother, your relationship with her which is primary to every human on the earth. We are our mother’s my Tibetan Buddhist teacher impressed on me. Understand that you are your mother, by virtue of having been part of everything in her life as well as her mother cellularly is phenomenal. Think about that. I know it drove me crazy for years. It is so hard to accept that we are our mothers. The Earth is our mother too. Think about all the billions of women who have given birth to every person who has ever lived. What is the state of women in the world today? 

Your stomach may be more sensitive while Mercury is in Cancer. It’s a good time to watch how meditation calms your nerves and tummy. Also be aware that you are what you eat. It’s a good time to change your diet and eat what feels good and nourishes you, not what you want to eat, or just enjoy. 

Mercury in Cancer is literally about digesting, How much info are you actually digesting in the overflow of info these days? If you are feeling overwhelmed perhaps its a good time for a fast. Just as it is healthy to take a break from eating to allow the body to rest and heal itself even for a day, it could be beneficial to take an info break too. Research shows that people are addicted to their smart phones.  take a break from your phone. Millennials don’t know life without cellphones the way us oldsters do. Just give your brain and your tummy a rest.

Rare Pink Libra Blue Moon and Lilith, Juno Grand Air trine

April’s Full moon is a Rare Pink Blue Moon. The PINK MOON, is so called because of pink phlox flowers that bloom in Spring. It’s almost a supermoon but 3 days past perigee, and it will look bigger. It’s also a rare Blue Moon because it’s the 2nd full Moon in Libra in the season.  Pink and Blue make Purple. Its a magical mystical full moon.

This Full Moon is also know as the Hare Moon, Sprouting Grass, Fish, Egg and Paschal Moon. 

This LIBRA FULL MOON, ruled by VENUS at 28 degrees of Pisces, just one degree past her exaltation degree of April 18th. Venus is square to JUPITER STATIONARY RETROGRADE at 24 degrees of SAGITTARIUS near the Galactic Center the Black Hole at the Center of our Milky Way Galaxy. Venus, Goddess of Love, Beauty and Harmony, is exalted in Pisces and Jupiter further enhances her energies now. She rules Libra and Taurus.

Academy Awards Tarot and Scorpio Moon

Academy award night the Moon is in deep emotionally intensive Scorpio

Under a Scorpio moon, there is always change, transformation, death, and rebirth.

The Obsessive Scorpio moon which is usually heavy makes light aspect today all day.

A Trine to Neptune in PISCES the Sign which govern HOLLYWOOD so how perfect is that.

I usually don’t see any of the movies  before hand. I’ve only seen Vice and 1/2 of Roma.

Personally, I couldn’t get through Roma I find it way too boring so I quit halfway through. I hear you have to watch it in the theatres. he Indigenous actress who never acted before is really touching. This movie is like an old European film made in the 50’s.  I wish VICE would win but it’s way too intelligent for the public. But it is so well done I do hope Christian Bale wins for best actor. I feel Roma is the fave to win though.
