Happy Quan yin day, blessings of compassion

Prelude. The post- Total Lunar eclipse energy had me feeling  down, with so much dark energy coming up. Yet I was also feeling my angel and spirit guides presence too. I felt like I was living with both feelings at the same time in parallel universes. A friend of mine,who does very high level spiritual work called me yesterday saying she was feeling overwhelmed and down and crying. I said I was feeling it too. I told her that it is very Libran to feel that polarity, the whole point is to feel it all and to hold the tension of the opposites. That is what Carl Jung said the great work is.  We need to make both feelings transparent not try to pretend it is all light.

The Moon is also in Scorpio which also brings up deep deep emotions. So it feels totally synchronous that…

 April 7 Billions of people are celebrating the birthday of  the Goddess of Mercy and Compassion Quan Yin/ Kwan Yin today. She is the Divine Mother Goddess and the most worshipped Goddess in the world who we need to call upon to end suffering . She is a Goddess of Love and Light. 

All Buddhists,  love and pray to Quan Yin. Chinese Taoists consider her an Immortal. Her name means “observing the Sounds of the world.” She is worshipped through Eastern Asia under different names. 

She is known as a Bodhisattva.  This is a Buddha, an enlightened being who has given up their own liberation from the wheel of karma and who volunteers to come back into the world to help alleviate the suffering of all sentient beings until everyone is liberated. It’s a very serious vow to make.  As White Tara in Tibetan Buddhism, she was the first Buddha to take a Female form. 

She is also shown as a male aspect inTibet.”Avalokiteshvara” which means “the lord who looks upon the world with compassion”.

In China she is shown as a beautiful woman in white, often shown riding a dragon, or a dolphin.  She holds a willow branch, which was used to heal people’s illness and to bring fulfillment of their wishes. This can indicate dowsing with willow and a magic wand? Witches used willow.  She also holds a vase with water and a lotus flower.  Water is the dew of compassion and it has the qualities of purification. She is also revered by vegetarians. 

Sometimes shown with eleven heads and thousands of eyes on the palms of each hand, a symbol of seeing all the suffering of sentient beings and having thousands of arms to help them.

There is a sacred place to worship Kuan Yin, Putuo Mountain in China. It is an island near Ningpo in Zhejiang Province. She has made miraculous appearances in this place. 

I have prayed to in her  in her aspect as White Tara and she has come to me in meditations and is a spirit guide for me. She is like Mother Mary, White Bufallo Woman to Native Americans or even as the same emanation as Jesus. She would be considered like the Shekinah in Judaism. 

Anyone can pray to Kwan Yin, She forgives and comforts us as a Mother. She teaches us to forgive ourselves, and to love ourselves. She is said to appear to anyone who calls upon her. 

I didn’t realize that April 7 was considered Kwan Yin’s birthday. My mother,  may she rest in peace was born on this day. I am crying because I really gave her a hard time when I was a kid. When she died it was on a Holy Day and we were told that only very auspicious spiritual people die or are born on these days,and I didn’t know that either until it happened.

If you have guilt around your mother, for not respecting or dishonoring her, or the Feminine in any way shape or form, use this day to shed tears of purification for yourself and to ask for forgiveness through Kwan Yin and to have compassion with yourself.

Her mantra is OHM MANI PADME HUM – which means, Hail to the jewel in the lotus.

Usually a pure crystal mala or prayer beads are used to repeat the Buddhist mantra 108 times to Kwan Yin. You can use a clear quartz crystal and send your prayers into the crystal, Meditate on Kwan Yin. 

Anyone can be like a Bodhistavva, like Kwan Yin. The best thing to do today is to “Be the Goddess you want to see in the world.” Tm. With your kindness and compassion you can bring peace and tranquility into the world.  Listen to Lisa Thiel’s beautiful song about Kwan Yin, which I have listened to  for almost 30 years now.

The Good, the bad and the ugly Astrology

THE GOOD

Mercury and Venus in Aquarius make a nice harmonic Trine to the North Node in Libra and a sextile to the South Node in Aries.  Being emotionally detached allows you to see things in a newly balanced way. This freedom in your thinking and values allows you to release old karmic patterns of anger and frustration {South Node in Aries } and move towards a peaceful egalitarian balance. Venus rules the sign of Libra. LOVE is all.

This is MAJOR. The aspect is exact at 13 degrees 40 minutes Capricorn. THIS IS HUGELY KARMIC. Jeffrey Wolf Greene of the Evolutionary Astrology school says this rare transit marks a very profound choice whether we evolve as a Collective Unconscious  forwards to the North Node in LIBRA- justice, fairness, peace and balance, the Tao,  or regress back into the soul’s unconscious primitive urges- in Aries- the macho warrior, the soldier, who conquers, defends, only thinks of themselves as separate from the rest of the world. Mars rules the South Node of Aries. 

THE UGLY – MARS SQUARE SATURN

MARS is action, anger, spontaneous outburts and defensiveness. Saturn is reality, karma, the school of hard knocks, limitation, obstacles, aka Satan. These two planets are considered to be the worst Malefics, meaning “bad juju.” Especially when they are tied in together through a stressful square. Its fear factor for sure.  

On the surface, yes that is what the planetary energies have been leading up to. As a result of the Mars in Pisces  which symbolizes religious warrior Jihadist’s, there are now legal restrictions on people’s liberties, and foreigners, {Sagittarius, religious fanatics}. This energy has been forming for a number of days. We can see the frustration, sadness, anger, knee jerk responses.  Mars drives fast. Saturn is the brakes.  

We are hitting our heads- which is the area of the body that Mars rules in Aries, against the brick wall of Saturn’s limitations on all levels. 

A planet also transduces its energies through the sign it is travelling through.

Mars is in Pisces is a spiritual warrior and energy master, like Taoists Master Zhou Ting Jue or Master Sha .

Or like Jaques Cousteau, an underwater explorer. Or someone who is operating in the closet, behind the scenes; or  psychological warfare, having your psyche plumbed- Saturn rules lead- in the 12th house.

Mars in Pisces is trying out his Spiritual warrior garb.

Mars in Pisces is considered weak. In square to Saturn in Sagittarius this makes a powerful cocktail which mixes religion { strict Saturn in Sagittarius} and illusion, delusion, gurus, the addictions of Pisces . At the highest expression it is the Knight in Shining Armour. Someone so spiritually elevated, ethical, honorable, compassionate, honoring of the feminine, following the Holy Grail,  from the tales of King Arthur.

These times are frustrating especially for the early MUTABLE signs, Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces. 

I am feeling it. Mars in Pisces symbolizes an upswelling or uprising of unconscious material. Mars in Pisces is being drowned, swimming to save your life. 

Saturn in Sagittarius is the wise old sage, the master teacher of higher truths. Saturn in Sagittarius is also serious humour. We need to step back, Mars in Pisces like to avoid confrontations, escapism is rampant. Many people may be feeling frustrated, angry, and rushing to drug themselves down from these powerful feelings. Do be very careful when drinking or taking drugs even pharmaceutical things. Surgery is also dangerous at this time.

There can be a heightened danger of terrorists using viruses, or poisoning water supplies, { Pisces} plane crashes and  chemical explosions.
