SUMMER ARRIVES as Sun enters Zero degrees of Tropic of Cancer creating SUMMER at last in Northern Hemisphere and WINTER in Southern Hemisphere!

THE LONGEST DAY OF LIGHT OF THE YEAR arrives Wednesday, June 20, 2021 at 11:32 pm EDT.

Cancer solstice or LITHA to wiccan pagans is the Crowning of the Sun King who embraces the Queen of Summer and begins his slow dance of death with Her. The longest night of Light in the North! Summer harvesting begins, Revel in the Light,

Ive been a practicing green witch since I was initiated in 1987 by Susun Weed.

Our organic garden is coming along nicely now with some heat. We;ve got purple beans, snow peas, lots of tomatoes many varieties, Brussel sprouts, cabbages, artichokes! my big experiment! cuces, potatoes, celery, 2 kinds of lettuce, chard of rainbow colours, green onion, rapini, dill, basil, rosemary, chives, tarragon has come up again very nicely and asparagus gets bigger ever year.  I love my little garden.

CANCER is all about Nurturing, nourishment, watery, emotional, sensitive, MOTHERING, MOTHER EARTH, home, security, privacy, family.

ON SUMMER SOLSTICE we always do a ceremony to mark the next main quarters of the Year. Pagans, earth/nature worshippers  mark 8 stations of the year.

SHORT CEREMONY RITUAL FOR SUMMER INVOCATION

Smudge, use incense, high quality, natural. Clear a space. Cast a circle. Begin in the EAST always. EAst is Fire spirit, the SuN.

call Spirit of the Sun to be present in your circle. Always move CLOCKWISE!  NExt to SoUTH, call in WATER ELEMENT.

MOVE WEST, call in EARTH element,add earthy adjectives,  move North call in AIR ELEMENT. – see Air ceremony below-join me Grail Springs Spa

Once centered call in the “As Above, So below, so within”  YOU.

Give thanks to Grandfather Sun for being directly overhead, for shining the longest, for casting the longest shadows on this day,

Give thanks for all things you love about summer, rapid growth, greenery, fresh food, swimming, sunbathing, relaxing long days, the cottage,

fireflies, beers, cold drinks, whatever it is you like about summer, pop songs, whatever… “In the summertime when the weather is fine….”

Deeper symbolism of Cancerian Summer is emotional security, safety, coming home. Cancer is water and water is emotions, why we are here on this earth plane, to feel, everything.

Imagine feeling, as Cancer is the deep security need of unconditional mother love, totally loved by the Great Mother Goddess in all her aspects but especially emotionally.

See, sense and feel the earth’s waters, her oceans as nourishing and sustaining all life on this planet. You are 70% water, the earth is 70% water.

Know that you are emotionally safe, protected, nurtured and loved. Sense this, feel it, know it as the blood flows through your heart and veins and arteries. The great mother pours through you in your blood, your tears, as sweat, as sexual secretions, urine as all bodily fluids. Your essence is love.

We must give back to the mother goddess. As Japanese Dr. Emoto shows our minds can move change and heal matter, especially water.

How interesting that a Japanese Dr. brought out these findings years ago almost unconsciously knowing that we would need them now.

So send your intention to heal the Ocean, the fish, dolphins, whales, krill, seaweed, all life, as all life is dependent on the ocean which we came from.

Honour your inner sun, the light within, the light that you are, feel the Inner fire, your inner heat, Kundalini energy,

You are a micro- sun. It is YOur turn to shine brightly now. As above so below. Your turn to En- LIGHT- en yourself!

Turn on the light to everyone else. The light bring consciousness to what is in the dark. The light brings warmth, heart.

Be thankful, be grateful. Vow to be en LIGHT ened more and more.  Light has triumphed. In the Tarot the SUN is the # 19.

Meditate on the Sun, the source of all life on this planet. Nothing could live on this planet if the Sun weren’t 83 million miles away, very close. A perfect distance.

Meditate on the perfection of the Universe, That all is Light, even the darkness is part of the Light, that the Universe is  UNI =one.

Place your hands on your heart, meditate on one Light, One LOve. Yeah yeah it’s a Bob Marley song.

I will be more conscious, as consciousness is Light, Illumination. Vow to LIVE THE LIGHT. Live  Lightly on this planet. Let your Light shine! Live your light!

BE still and meditate on Light. When finished thank the directions from East to North for being present in your ritual.

And dismiss them into their directions with love and light. Then dance, sing, Here comes the Sun, In the Summertime, Summer in the city, summertime, I like New York in June, who doesn’t like Gershwin?  etc..

Out of the broom closet,witches

I am officially and publicly out of the broom closet.Yes I am a witch, a white witch. I proclaimed this on TV yesterday. Halloween or Samhain is an ancient Pagan/wiccan celebration honoring the close of the old year and it is New Years. It is the day when the veil between the worlds is thinnest. NOvember 1 is All saints Day or the Day of the dead. I was also initiated as a Green Witch by Susun Weed at her goat farm in Woodstock New York in 1987. 

Archetypal wicked witch, hag, crone.

Wicca or wiccan is a modern term for ancient pagan spiritual beliefs which honoured the Great Mother the earth and the Divine Feminine and  participated in the turning of the wheel of the year.It is a non-hierarchical, pantheistic religion. Although I hesitate to use the term religion as we associate it with organized Patriarchal religions. 

The Catholic Inquisition which initially was against all heretics, the Cathars in particular, terrified pagans for hundreds of years.  The Grand Inquisitors ruled from 1200 until the mid-19th century. The Malleus Maleficarum written in 1486 stated that witchcraft was to blame for bad weather. This charge was levelled mainly at women, which according to this text “all witchcraft comes from carnal lust which is in women insatiable”. 

Over the course of 300 years in Europe estimates as high as nine million people were accused of witchcraft, 80% were women were burned at the stake, sadistically tortured and their children were forced to watch them burn. This was the women’s Holocaust. This was worse than Hitler and the Catholic Church is wholly to blame for it. 

 

I remember being burned at the stake and the  Jesuit Priests who convicted me. The one who convicted me in the past turned out to be my ex-husband in this life I later discovered. One re-appeared as one of the realtors who tricked me into selling my house out from under me years ago. It’s a long story,and is part of the book I am still writing.

HOLOTROPIC BREATHWORK

I experienced a full memory of this past life during a Holotropic Breathwork workshop years ago. Holotropic Breathwork was invented by Dr. Stanislav Grof following his experiments using LSD in psychiatry in the 70’s. It is a breathing and music aided psych0-spiritual healing journey which induces a non-ordinary state of reality experience. Most people remember their birth and pre-births in this state. Some people remember death experiences. A number of women at this specific workshop stated that they also remembered their past life as witches and being tortured. 

I had been very angry at the Priest who sentenced me. I cursed him for his ignorance and for so wickedly and arrogantly destroying my life as well as the other women who were also being tortured. My heart broke to leave my husband and children. This was not the first time that I had been serving The Goddess and my life had been destroyed because of it. I also remember being a High Priestess of the Goddess in Greece years ago and having that be overrun an destroyed by  hostile invaders.

Those 7 million women who had been tortured in the past have  come back into this life to take back their power and to reinstate the worship of the Great Mother. That is why the pagan Goddess worshipping communities, websites, workshops, and courses are increasingly  popular now. I am working on launching Priestess workshops and online Moon lodges now.

In the West where women are largely well-educated, relatively good wage-earners, and have freedom {to some extent{ within this culture, we all now must proudly announce where our ancient soul reverence belongs.

It used to be shameful to be called a witch. The stereotype of the old hag, or crone, depicted as an ugly old woman with hooked nose and warts and wild hair, and the fairy tales about the Wicked Old Witch, eating children are a gross misrepresentation and total cultural propaganda.

Elder women were wise women and healers. whose knowledge as midwives and who also attended to those dying were respected and honoured. They had status. 

In a culture which worships youth and not the status of being a wise elder, women need to also embrace this aspect. We are all inevitably ageing. The masculine type of pursuit of immortality is rooted in the false belief that we are our bodies and not immortal souls. The word crone is equated with witches and it carries the same popular stigma. I like the term Crone because it simply means chronos, Time, seniority, maturity, and implies wisdom from living so long.

In my mind if you are older but not wiser that is why you would want to avoid being called a crone and not acknowledged for your wisdom. Language is also empowering. A  large part of Feminism  pointed out that reframing and respelling, sounds Magical doesn’t it?  changes the meaning of a word.

Let’s Re-Spell this.

I put forward that the word CHRONE spelled with the additional H be used proudly to represent a woman past -menopause. That could be any age from the late 40’s. It means a wise women, an elder worthy of respect and honored for her experience and wisdom. We can revere aging as beautiful.

I had been saying I am ready to fully embrace my own power. I was sitting in front of the TV Tuesday night when a commercial came on for the CTV Morning show called Canada A.M. In my mind I said I want to be on that show. I stated that intention clearly.

Wed. October 28, I get an email from a producer at Canada A.M. asking me if I would be interested in being on the show for Halloween talking about wicca and witches. They gave me some homework to do to help them prep videos which I was happy to do.  watch the video below.

THE VEIL BETWEEN THE WORLDS 

Get in touch with your past lives tonight when the veil between the worlds is thinnest. Do a breathing exercise and meditation tonight. Bring out your crystals, create a sacred space. Set up a bowl made of dark opaque material to scry on. This is the night of connecting with your dead ancestors for their wisdom and guidance.

I will be out at an event this evening at SOHO HOUSE doing readings tonight.  Then I will be home doing ceremony and scrying.

the Trump # 20  Judgement Day/the Aeon

Artist Carol Herzer produced this Astro-Tarot deck in the 80’s and I bought a hand made copy from her at Susun Weed’s beautiful Wise Woman Center in 1987 where I went to be initiated as a green witch. That’s  a good witch who uses herbs and white magic to help and heal people only.

Tarot Trump #20 is usually known as Judgement, representing Judgement Day in the Book of Revelations, where the Archangel Gabriel blows his trumpet and the dead rise again. Called the Aeon in The Thoth deck which I mainly use. It is called Regeneration in the Cosmo Astro tarot deck.

THE MESSAGE

Very inspiring.  The 11th house refers to the 11th sign of Aquarius and  group or TRIBAL consciousness.  friendship, loss of feeling of alienation and aloneness. One’s connection to humanity, the world as family and cosmic family. HOPE and the ideal of a socially integrated world.  Many seed forms coming from a common source.

REBIRTH and the growth of love, our common humanity, leadership without ego, detachment emotionally.

This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius, literally.
