I was LUCID DREAMING last night, I was in a very poor place last night. I went from one bus station to another, then railway stations. There were poor ragged people it was like being in the depression in the 1930’s or what the refugees are enduring these days in Europe. There were poor crying children and lost boys. It was dark with small lamp lights on the streets. I kept asking people what time it was but no one had a watch, or a clock. I kept trying to get on a bus to leave. Then I was on the bus and kept seeing more and more of this sad landscape of hopeless people. It was very grounding.

I must have missed this. Hot Chocolate lead singer and songwriter Errol Brown passed away May 6 in his home in Kingston, Jamaica surrounded by his wife of 30 years and his daughters. He died from liver cancer.
Hot Chocolate has one of the biggest pop/disco hits ever in the world. 1975’s “You sexy thing” / I believe in Miracles” which Errol co-wrote for his wife became the only track that made British Top Ten status in the 1970’s, 1980’s and 1990’s because of its usage in the 1997 hit British movie The Full Monty.
Brown moved to the U.K. as a child. John Lennon helped the group in its fame after he approved the bands funk-soul reggae version of Give Peace A Chance.
The Band had many top hits; Everyone’s a Winner, Emma, So You Win Again, and my fave Put Your Love In Me. The band performed at the wedding reception for Prince Charles and Lady Diana.
Errol was awarded an MBE in 2003 and he was touring up till 2009.

I wanted to stop and send an RIP blessing to one of my favorite 60’s pop inspirational singers Lesley Gore who passed away Feb 16 at 68 years old of lung cancer.
Lesley, born Lesley Sue Goldstein was a Taurus born May 2 1946. I have no accurate birth time so use Noon. Famous for being a pop sensation at 16 years old in 1963 with “It’s My Party” the singer-songwriter helped Quincy Jones score his first number one hit. Leslie followed up with a string of pop hits including Marvin Hamlisch’s first hit composition “Sunshine, Lollipops and Rainbows” in 1963.
“You Don’t Own Me” which was written by two men incidentally was truly the first Feminist pop anthem. Released in 1964 it held the number two position behind the Beatles, “I Want to Hold Your Hand.” The song continues to stand up and thrill today.
Lesley’s passionate vocals always carried any song. She continued to write songs and contributed “Out Here On My Own” to the hit 1980 movie FAME working with her songwriter brother, which won her an Academy Award nomination.
Born Lesley Sue Goldstein, she also came out as a lesbian later in her life. She and narrated a LGBT oriented public television show, In the Life on American TV in the 2000’s.

My daughter Leah, 15 woke me up yesterday crying because Cory Monteith, 31, had suddenly passed away yesterday July 13 in a Vancouver Hotel room. Like millions of other Glee fans who’ve watched since 2009, Cory Monteith, who played football hunk, Glee singer and drummer Finn Hudson, was a huge fave. Rocketing to fame after the first season, he graced the covers of Vanity Fair along with co-star and real life fiancée Lea Michele. Having never really sung before his renditions of old pop favorites which made him a multi million selling pop star. Sounds pretty lucky.
The handsome 6′ 3 ” Monteith was raised in Calgary. His parents divorced when he was 7 and he was raised by his Mom in Vancouver with an older brother. He started using drugs and alcohol at 13. He dropped out of High school at 16 and got into petty crimes. He went to rehab at 19 when his Mother and others intervened. He said ‘ I am lucky to be alive.” He started acting after rehab. He found great success and real life love with fellow GLEE star Lea Michelle, they were engaged and apparently planning to marry in two weeks. He had recently checked into rehab again in March of this year. He was found dead in his hotel room on July 13 after failing to check out and apparently had died a few hours before. No drug evidence was found so the news said, but an autopsy is scheduled shortly to find out the cause of death. Fans and friends world-wide poured out their shock and grief immediately with Tweets . Condolences to Cory’s family, Lea Michelle and all the Glee crew. Cory, may your soul rise to the Light.
