CANCER is the Mother, womb, Feminine,the Goddess, Mother Mary,, Demeter, Gaia, Ceres, all Mother Goddesses, water, wells, nurturing, nourishment, emotions, security, home, children  receptivity, Ruled by the Moon.

Mars in Cancer symbolizes the Warrior returns Home to the Goddess.

This is a time of Masculine cleansing and purification, where the warrior takes off his armor and surrenders into the unconditionally loving arms of the Mother Goddess Archetype of his own Anima, his own  soul or to a woman. Maya Angelou life Astrology

Dr. MAYA ANGELOU author of seven autobiographies, poet, dancer, civil rights activist, writer of plays and television shows for over 50 years garnered world-wide fame, Tony awards, and inspired millions. Known as the Black woman’s poet-laureate, writing of her hardships in her life, her most famous book I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings, was a first, an autobiography of a modern black woman speaking  truthfully of her own hardships and experiences growing up in the U.S. during segregation. Nominated for a Nobel Prize, master of six languages, Maya was awarded many honorary university degrees, and she spoke at President Clinton’s Inauguration in 1993.

Maya received the presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor in the U.S. in 2011.  Good friend and mentor to Oprah Winfrey, she counted Martin Luther King and James Baldwin as her close friends. She was ill recently and died peaceably at her home in the morning of May 28 2014 at her home in Winston- Salem, North Carolina.

My personal take on JUNO is that she represents women’s specific form of Genius and this MAya definitely had in spades. Juno in Virgo bestows a fantastic memory, a love of literature, discipline, hard work, organization and a love of solitude.

Maya had Saturn Retrograde in Sagittarius in her 4th house of roots, family, privacy, not far from her SOUTH NODE at 10 degrees Sagittarius.

Saturn RETROGRADE  represents KARMA, with her father, and men in general. Her parents split when she was young, her father sent her and her brother to live with his mother when she as very young, so his influence on her life is huge, as he continuously moved her around. Saturn near to her South Node also indicates karma with many authority figures in her life. Saturn in Sagittarius indicates a life of much travel, a love of learning, philosophy and teaching. A SOUTH NODE in Sagittarius indicates someone who has been a teacher, a wanderer, a writer, a gypsy and philosopher in her past lives. Sagittarius is also the sign of publishing, ruled by JUpiter which she had  well aspected to her natal Sun and to Saturn as well. We tend to fall back on the SOUTH NODE as we know it very well, it is easy for us.

Maya’s NORTH NODE, her highest spiritual goal was in GEMINI in her 10th house. GEMINI is the sign of writers, communicators, thinkers, who have great curiosity about people and make wonderful speakers. Her 10th house is the house of worldly fame and fortune which she attained for her brilliant ability to communicate her experiences.

On the day of Maya’s death at 86 I have put it at 7:45 a.m. NOT SHOWN.

The planet Uranus – higher consciousness was exactly on her Sun with Pluto squaring her Sun and Jupiter squaring it as well. JUPITER is of course exactly on her Natal Pluto, taking her back home. Pluto in Capricorn is opposite her Natal Pluto. Mars is very close to her Natal Moon in Libra, and Saturn is Retrograde, as at her birth exactly on her I.C. the roots, foundation and ending of life point. NEPTUNE planet of spirituality is close to a square to her North and South nodes, indicating a peaceful journey back to spirit and source from where Maya and all souls originate. 

MAYA’s  life, writing and brilliance created a  timeless legacy that will enthrall and inspire future generations of peopleworld wide. May she fly free on her journey in the Universe.

Mars Retrograde, sex no no’s by Tara Greene

I re-wrote the emphasis of this article. Mercury Retrograde and about Mars too.

2014 is a big RETROGRADE  year. Mars & Venus both Retro cha-cha this year.

We are going over a lot of old issues. Especially RElationship ones. We are reinventing them totally.

The energies feel pretty intense right now. Don’t they? 

They will get hotter & more INTENSE approaching the GRAND CARDINAL EXACTNESS in APRIL on the 22nd.  

This may the BOMBSHELL aspect DAY of the year and a huge climax of the CARDINAL T-square energy which has been building since 2008-2010.

Lets talk about RETROGRADE’S first.

We’ve already had Venus retrograde. We’re in the middle of  MERCURY Retrograde till Feb 28.

March 1st MARS goes RETROGRADE!!!    MARS is S E X. Traditional all  Males, but it is all LIBIDO energy.

Literaly it means No sex, celibacy, Not tonight honey for 80 days.

Mars re Ararranging himself @ 27 degrees 31 minutes of Libra; then turning DIRECT May 19 @ 9 degrees 2 minutes Libra.

Mars only does this once every two years.

CHECK out in which house or houses, MARS will be pulling the plug on your sex life and outwards activities on.

That’s 80 days of learning to be in relationship but  non-sexually. I think this is TRULY ENLIGHTENING.

Take this special opportunity to embrace being fully alone and to learn who you partner really is. To relate without having sex. To be friends and not lovers. Old fashioned. It is a re-education for men and women.

Practising celibacy harnesses sexual and spiritual energies so they can be transmuted to a higher level after Mars goes DIRECT on May 19. I will be teaching a workshop just after that May 23-25 at the Grail Springs Spa in Bancroft Ontario.

The backstep my friends, for all MEN literally, and all things ruled by Mars.

MARS is the life sparking Masculine principle itself.

Mars is PURE ENERGY, phallic power, everything related to Fire, guns, explosions, volcanoes, lightning, solar power, bombs, WAR, ignitions danger. The Big Honcho.

Mars is ACTION! In Libra Mars is already in a weakened state, debilitated and weak.

DO NOT initiate anything during MARS RETRO. Literally NO ACTION.

It is a time of sucking energy in. Inaction, energy will feel slow, inhibited. This can build up an internal heat and anger that is used to moving outwards, like a big TEMPER TRANTRUM or a coitus interruptus, an orgasm forced to stop.

Markets crash. Relationships too. Do plan to retreat. LET YOUR PEACE FLAG FLY. SURRENDER.

Stock up. Rest, renew, reflect, reinvent. REmake. Remodel. 

Mars is effectively castrated, defenseless during this time period, vulnerable.

MARS IS RECEPTIVE  now. It is like the Chinese TAO. Inaction, patience, wasting no energy.

Mars will be transformed and transmuted archetypaly during these 80 days.  Mars is being turned inside out and backwards, learning to be a man without being macho. It’s time is for cultivating peaceful warrior energy. Making peace with the inner masculine who may have hurt you. Who may be a tyrant, rapist, your father, boss, the Archetypal President, Pope , BIG DADDY. That Machismo is being made impotent now. NO amount of VIAGRA is going to get those dicks up now, figuratively speaking.

A man without his MACHO. What happens then? It would be nice to wake up and find all the masculine weapons of destruction vaporized wouldn’t it? 

Mars is learning how to become receptive to the FEMININE. He is after all in Venus’s Boudoir for 7 months this year

MARK THIS DATE. MAY 11 Mother’s Day  no less,

Venus is at 9 degrees of ARIES in Mars’ sign exactly opposite MARS at 9 degrees  Libra.

This is a very powerful DAY, an in initiation of the Masculine into a new legacy of equality with the FEMININE. The Moon also initiates and conjuncts Mars and squares all the Cardinal Cross Planets as well.  A day of ALCHEMY, of the Masculine and Feminine coming together in balance.

We will see this MARS RETROGRADE energy filter down from the Highest levels. Men who have done and are brewing and doing their Soul work, who are becoming conscious of the destructive Patriarchal domination model and are stepping down from that terrible hierarchy. Those men and women who are open and learning and growing in consciousness with their own ANIMA, their own Inner Feminine Soul, and binding it in honor of the FEMININE and the EARTH HERSELF are making that SACRED MARRIAGE within will step forward to help move the energy in this Grand Cross. The Cross is always the symbol of the 4 directions, matter, the world, the foundation.

We are in the midst of creating  a new way of being in the world. All Women have an inner ANIMUS, Male figure as well. Women need to regain their Feminine strength again as the SOURCE as the QUEEN BEE, {that’s why Lorde’s song is so popular BTW}  and honor Feminine values which  shifts the inner and outer Masculine.

Pornography will be viewed as misuse of sacred sexual energy. Women being treated as chattel will be over, violence against women will end. The men have to see how their denial of, desperate need for and fear of the Feminine has destroyed women and themselves. This is a big high  vision I am putting forth. 

I’ve been thinking and thinking about the  GRAND CARDINAL CROSS CLIMAX in APRIL. Remember that this is the energy that was planted by PLUTO and URANUS in conjunction in VIRGO in the later 60’s which Created the PEACE LOVE FREE SEX SRUGS AND ROCK AND ROLL GENERATION. THE SEEDS SPROUT NOW.

X  marks the spot, The X configuration is a TREASURE MAP.

HOW DO we find the buried treasure in this? Most of my clients lives are falling apart in varying degrees, horrible divorces, deaths, loss of jobs, visa’s, health issues. Every person who’s planets fall directly in the X configuration, myself and my husband included are going through this. You can’t stop an avalanche.  Lets decode the info.

PLUTO in CAPRICORN- the PLUTOCRACY, fascist governments, secrets, power, wealth,the SUPER RICH, secret institutions.  Pluto in CAPRICORN is directly opposite the United States SUN, it’s idenity. THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE in the U.S. history. It’s unprecedented. PLUTO is death, rebirth, regeneration. 

URANUS IN ARIES-

A new revolution, technology, freedom, liberation, a new cycle of development. Squaring PLUTO, the power for better and worse. 

JUPITER IN CANCER is EXACTLY on the U.S. Sun-

This is the Amercan people themselves, the breadbasket, women, food, children, well being, housing, nursing, family values, emotional insecurity. Homeland security, literally. Jupiter is optimism,esoterically the planet of the higher master teachers. 

Mars in Libra Retrograde-

Reneging on agreements, no peace, reigniting wars, emasculating men, peace negotiations, angry about injustice, action to change laws, Libra is the scales of Justice. MARS rules ARIES so he overules Uranus now.

A lot to think about….so many scenarios.

PEOPLE will be reacting. I have seen civil war breaking out in the U.S. Mars is guns literally. Mars Retro is taking peoples right to bare arms away.

Oct 21 Mercury goes Retrograde yet again. Remember- a Retrograde word -it happens IN SCORPIO 8th house territory. It’s opening the dark box, a consciousness and unconscious, emotional,soul baring, burlesque review of your UNCONCIOUS brainsoul.

The underworld, is where it’s all at. The world of PSYCHE which means SOUL. The Retrograde symbol is Rx just like medicine. Be Receptive. My intention, and yours should be to use this time for therapy of the soul using astrology transits. Astro-sex therapy. I am trained as a Transformational Psycho-therapist.

A SCORPIO Mercury Retrograde spreads your legs open so that everyone can see what you’ve been hiding. Well mainly so you can see. It can be dirty, nasty, shitty. We have all been whores one way or another selling our souls for money, to be liked, to gain power over others. This also covers your wallet, your financial entanglements, too. Sex and money are interchangeable issues.

Mercury REcycles and scrapes back the SCORPIO dark soul stuff, the guck, the emotional grudges, the stickiness, the discarded wad of old emotional scunge you put under the desk in Grade school or even before you can recollect.  

Think about all the sex and power games you’ve played or had played. Be honest with yourself about this.

Have you been raped? Scorpio is Pluto’s home, he raped Persephone into the Underworld to awaken her sexually. Use this time to help heal the pain, if you’ve never told anyone, this is the time to let the secret  shame out.  Tell the police. Release your victimized stance, your fear, get  therapeutic help.

Have sexually or emotionally hurt another? this is the best time  to make amends. With yourself and also to whoever you have hurt. You need to be scrupulously honest and also to forgive yourself. Make a list, write down what you did, meditate and send prayers and light to those you have hurt .

This is intense work, Scorpio’s middle name.

Also women carry sexual imprints from men they have had sex with who didn’t love and honor them. It would be good to cleanse and release all stuck emotional bonds from those people who may have put sexual hooks into you. Men use women to gain energy from them through sex. Most women are unaware of the traces left inside them. That energy really hold your LIGHT back. Again it begins with a conscious re-acknowelging. And then ritual bathing which I would advise you to do on the SCORPIO SOLAR ECLIPSE.

I just realized how important this is and I will write and make a video about it .and perhaps give instructions in an online class.

Women if you want to clear up your old relationships issues, this is the pre-requisiste to do so.  I can’t restate this enough. I did it myself before I started my relationship with my 2nd husband. I knew instinctively that to change this relationship We had to both do this together. That’s a whole other workshop.

Sunday ended on a serious SCORPIO note as the Moon conjunct Saturn. A karmic note.
Energy shifts on Monday with a bountiful, optimistic Scorpion Moon trine Jupiter in Cancer at 18 degrees. Also good for PISCES peeps with planets and stuff around those degrees. 

Make BIG WISHES for deep, powerful, fertility and expansion of your home.

It also coincides with The 9 day HINDU Festival of Navaratri on now from Oct 5- 13

But the real energy to use for this Trine is for very powerful womb cleansing for all the women and girls who are the living embodiment of the Divine FEMININE in the World and the Oceans {water signs} now in dire straights because of the Fukushima leak which is still destroying the Pacific ocean. We are 70% water, water is the carrier of sound, it dissolves  solidity and hardness. 

Which is very real and a metaphor for the state of the Divine womb in the world and the billions of women who are suffering and who have suffered from being raped and abused now and for the last 5,000 years on every level.

Use this Trine to cleanse and release any  stagnant emotional /sexual abuse from your past. The Trine happens at 10:33 am PDT/1:33 pm EDT.   Even at your office spend a few moments to Meditate . Put your left hand, the intuitive psychic side, over your womb, and the right hand, the active side,  on your heart.

MEDITATION

Breathe  slowly and deeply and relax and sense into your womb, see and feel what it is feeling. You will notice how it is clogged and hurting.

 Your womb is  toxic with shame, from the hurt of your being raped or sexually molested or insulted or betrayed or hurt in any way, emotionally, mentally, physically, spiritually. All women are empathic and we feel each other’s pain.  So if you have been fortunate enough to have escaped rape and sexual abuse, then it is important for you to do this ritual and meditate for your sisters’ healing as well as the oceans.

Women used to honour their wombs and their menstrual blood, the book the Red Tent, made this ancient way popular again. The sign of Scorpio is the sign most associated with sexuality and reproduction. If you have tried to get pregnant this is  a necessary step to help facilitate  that. 

If you get PMS then you should do this meditation of tuning into your womb every month. Menstrual blood is sacred, healing, magical Holy. Honor your Moon time, it is a 3 day time out for every women to commune with the Lunar cycles and her own inner wisdom and dreaming.

You don’t need to go into a huge recollection of all the pain and suffering now, that is another entire workshop of sexual cleansing I will do soon, on my CD’s.

 The acknowledgement alone to your womb is enough to shift the energy. Ask the great benefic planet Jupiter and the Moon who rules the wombs of all women to cleanse and renew and purify your womb  and to help bring cleansing to all the bodies of water on the earth that are also suffering.
