There is also an element of healing from sexual abuse as well.Pluto raped Persephone in the Greek Myths and took her to the Underworld. There are other versions where Persephone was not raped but voluntarily went to the Underworld for a puberty and sexual initiation which is what the myth is partly metaphorically all about.

The PATRIARCHY has raped all women and the earth since its inception over 5,000 years ago world wide.

VENUS as Love, the Divine feminine the heart and relationships is the bridge between the Masculine Patriarchal As above, so below so within the body and womb. Hekate, Witches, Scorpio times

HEKATE is the Goddess of Magic, Witchcraft, the Night, the Moon, ghosts and necromancy.  She is a Triple Goddess and is associated with three-way crossroads which were traditional places to make offerings to Hekate, called Trivia. We now associate this Great Goddess with “Trivial Pursuits” and things that are not important. Such is the desecration to her name and honour.

She is usually shown as a woman holding two torches or as a three-bodied Triple Goddess facing past, present and future. Therefore she would be a strong divination Goddess with oracular or prophetic powers. 

She assisted Demeter/Ceres in her search for Persephone in Hades, guiding her through the night with flaming torches. Hekate is a bringer of Light and consciousness in the dark times. After the Mother and daughter reunion, Hekate became Persephone’s minister and companion in Hades.

She was the only child of the Titans Perses and Asteria-who rules the Stars and she received her powers over heaven, earth and the sea from them.She bestowed gifts of wealth, victory, wisdom and good luck to hunters and sailors on the earth and sea and brought prosperity to youth and to flocks of cattle. But she also withheld these gifts if mortals didn’t deserve them.  She was the only Titan to retain her powers under Zeus’s =the Patriarchy’s rule- and she was honored by all the Immortal gods and Goddesses. She is considered to be a Virgin- “whole unto herself, belonging to no man” Goddess and therefore capable of parthenogenesis if she chose to have a child. 

Other stories relate Hekate to Brimo, an underworld Goddess whose virginity was lost to Hermes/Mercury on the banks of Thessalian Lake Boibeis. Her most important cult centres were at Eleusis place of the famous Eleusinian mysteries and the Island of Samothrace where she was worshipped as a goddess of the Mysteries.

Hekate, from the Greek hekatos, means “worker from afar.” The masculine form of the name, Hekatos is also a name for Apollon or Apollo.  

Hekate was identified with a number of other goddesses including Artemis, Selene-the Moon, and many other nymphs including Maira- the Dog-Star or Sirius the brightest Star in the skies and the Star which the U.S. sun is associated with. The U.S. needs a three-party system not two.

Sun conjunct Algol, transforming the demonic

The Sun at 26 degrees TAURUS is now conjunct to the Fixes STAR ALGOL, equated with MEDUSA, traditionally the most feared, malefic, demon star there is in the heavens. But never fear, this star’s bad TABOO reputation give us a clue that she is actually the opposite and is a powerful GODDESS of healing, much feared by the Patriarchy who created a myth to destroy the Goddesses’ powers thousands of years ago.

As the SUN Conjuncts ALGOL, the reputedly most evil, demonic star there is, this gives us the opportunity to Shine the LIGHT on the true origins of this powerful star. She is a Goddess of beauty and creativity of healing and abundance. Shadow work on the denigration of the Divine Feminine is the order of the day. 

Her “infamy” is based on the Greek MYTH of MEDUSA, a fearsome GODDESS with “snakes for hair” were really dreadlocks as she is based on a real Amazon Queen from Lybia. Snakes always symbolize secret, sexual, kundalini knowledge of death and transformation. Her stare was sure to turn a man to stone because she was so powerful and the men felt powerless. She had her head lopped off by Perseus a Greek Hero who was helped by ATHENA who was already a Patriarchal Goddess was born from her father’s head Zeus. WTF ? 

But in INDIA where Western Astrology originated 10,000 years ago the meaning of this STAR is completely different. Medusa’s name comes from the Sanskrit root word Medha, which means ‘sovereign feminine wisdom,’ and is another name for the Goddess Saraswati who revealed language, speech and writing to humans, and who governs science, music and the arts.

Season turning points,critical times

December 20 the Sun is on the last “critical degree” of Sagittarius. In Astrology it is not the 3rd degree but the 29th, actually 30th,  anaretic degree of any sign which is considered to be the most powerful.

We are summing up this last seasonal quarter. Its good to look back to assess what has happened, to take some time to integrate, take a breath and pause before stepping into the Winter/Summer Solstice depending on whether you live North or South of the Equator. It’s a very powerful turning point in the year. It has been a long autumn fraught with much emotion divisiveness and stress because of the U.S. election. Now that it seems final that Trump will be the next president of the U.S. we can stop and figure out the next plan.

The Moon is in Virgo today making us feel practical grounded, nit-picky and worried. It has already made its aspects by square to Saturn inconjunct to Uranus and opposite Chiron in Pisces.

Mars opposite Algol, violence, Black Lives Matter

I started to write this on June 29th. Mars turned direct at 23 degrees of Scorpio and we all went ahhh. But we are not out of the mouth of hell of Mars in Scorpio Yet! Mars will exactly oppose ALGOL, Medusa’s head, the most feared VIOLENT STAR in the Heavens until July 30th.

What does this mean?

Algol has the baddest rep of all of the stars in the cosmos. Algol is about violence, beheading, fear. Mars in Scorpio Algol until July 30 is being reflected in the violence of the shooting of innocent black men by police in Baton Rouge and Minnesota and the shootings of police in Dallas Texas now. Also the increased violence by Daesh in Turkey, Baghdad and Saudi Arabia as well.

ALGOL is associated with MEDUSA who was considered to be a snake-haired demoness who if looked upon turned men or anyone into stone. This is the patriarchal second rewritten version. Medusa was originally an Amazon, a warrior Goddess fighting the Patriarchy. Her snake hair symbolizes risen Kundalini energy, female sexual powers of enlightenment which the Greek hero Perseus cuts off to use for his own protection. 

There are many versions of the myth. The oldest being that Medusa was a Goddess who was worshipped in Africa by the berbers. The snake haired Goddess has dreadlocks, she was BLACK. This is an important and overlooked part of the myth. As the Patriarchal Age took over, the ancient myths were rewritten or retold as brainwashing to change peoples view to those of the victors. 

In one version of the myth Medusa was originally a golden-haired, fair maiden, who was a priestess of Athena and was devoted to a life of celibacy. The God Poseidon/ NEPTUNE  raped her in Athena’s temple.  For this offence, she was punished by the goddess Athena who turned each hair on her head into venomous snakes, her eyes became blood shot furious orbs, and her skin became a hideous shade of green. She was cursed to turn anyone who looked directly at her into stone and she was sent to live with blind monsters so to not harm innocent people. Eventually Perseus beheaded her, with help from Athena, freeing her in death. At her beheading Pegasus, the winged horse and a giant emerged from her. The head was a talisman to war off evil so Medusa’s power was actually then used to benefit the hero.  

The symbol of cutting off one the AMAZONS heads, is clearly a story of psychological triumph over women. Another meaning of Medusa is the Patriarchy also destroying and symbolically castrating men from their own feminine instincts as well. There is always a contra-sexual meaning as well. The shadow of the myth. 

Algol= alcohol

The word Algol is Arabic for a ghoul, or nasty spirit, and is a homonym for alcohol, a substance which Muslims are forbidden to drink. The myth is very literally a teaching story about the dangerous of drinking alcohol. These myths were told to illiterate peoples for thousands of years and are often meant to be interpreted very literally. If Medusa is Algol the beheading is a warning of the dangers of drinking alcohol which dissociates yourself from your clear thinking faculties. Alcohol is a metaphor for spirit as Psychologist Dr. Carl Jung so clearly pointed out to one of the founders of A.A.  Alcohol or spirit is what the Universe is made of, it is where we all come from and to which we return. So the Medusa myth is really about the Patriarchy screwing itself by cutting it off from the source of female sexual power. 

Algol rules monsters, fear, psychology, genetic manipulations, beheading, will power, obsession, the shadows. Algol rules treason-pay attention to that, and replacing one ideology with another. 

ALGOL is prominent in those that work with the mass media and speak out. Medea is also associated with sexuality and shamanic healing with poisons.  Algol symbolizes any persons or even race that rubs other people the wrong way and are demonized as a result.

The current horrific shooting of innocent black men by police in Baton Rouge and in Minnesota and the shootings of police officers in Dallas Texas July 7 during a Black Lives Matter protest is bringing up this very hard angry tension between Mars in Scorpio opposite Algol energy very strongly.  We are facing each other’s demons. The white’s policemen’s fear of black men and black men’s rage at white cops. 

Snipers killing cops doesn’t help the matter. The U.S. is a very racist place. The irony of having a very intellectual,wealthy, positive father and loving husband as the archetype for black men in the United States for 8 years has actually created more racism. As the gap between the haves and the have nots increases, violence gets worse. As public monies and programs are voted down by Republicans in schools communities and education for the poorest, peoples frustrations gets stronger. 

Police are being trained to respond as if in war to ordinary civil situations. This is happening all over the world.  This situation is coming to a head. No one wants to live in fear all the time. The gangsta rap culture issues out of anger and frustration but is inherently negative, violent incredibly misogynist, homophobic and destructive.  Cultures need to respect each other. As blacks haven’t had the same chances to improve their lives, the cycles of poverty keep on keepin on. Desperation breeds drugs as escape and guns bring a false feeling of power to the powerless. 

This situation has been simmering for a long time. We will be dealing with this very angry energy which has been simmering in the collective unconscious for quite a while in our personal lives as well as the collective. Hopefully when Jupiter enters LIBRA on September 9th we will see some negotiations, peacemaking and co-operation between the seemingly opposing forces.

Meaning of Wednesday, Odin, The Hanged Man

Happy Wednesday, named after the Anglo-Saxon/Norse God Woden or Odin originating from the Hebrew tribe of Dan and the root word Adonai. Woden is the highest God like Zeus, or Yahweh, and a God of poetry, death and the Wild Hunt. Odin is represented as a grave-looking elderly man with a long beard, carrying in his hand a spear accompanied by two dogs and two ravens. He was the father of poetry, and the inventor of Runic writing.

Wednesday is also named after the planet MERCURY, Mercredi in French. The connection is through the  language/ruins/intuitive symbolism connection. For intellect or for true connection to work one must suspend one’s ego and point of view to receive true wisdom. .

He also appears in the Tarot as Arcana #12 The Hanged Man, a card of emotional initiation and baptism of surrendering the ego to a Higher Power.  Odin was hung upside down on the World Tree or Ygdrassil, suspending his ego and logic and this is how he received the inspiration for the magical language symbols the Ruins were born. The Hanged Man is also related to the scapegoat and the martyr.  Alcoholics Anonymous relates to the Hanged Man in giving it up to God in their 12 steps.

Pleiades Meditation Trines this weekend, great timing

PLEIADES the Immortal 7 sisters

Moon conjunct the Pleiades and TRINES VENUS in CAPRICORN in the evening.
at 27 degrees Taurus- conjunct the 7 sisters shown above.

This degree links to the May 20 2012 Solar Eclipse.

A very powerful eclipse. Think back on where you were then. This was in the lead up time to the 2012 Mayan “end date” 

It’s Very earthy and Feminine. The focus is on meditating on the body. The Divine Feminine is Venus, love, beauty, creativity. There’s wealth in your body. See your body transmuted as Golden. Also good for VIRGOs born at those latter degrees of the sign or for those with planets there. Check out where these degrees fall in your own chart.

Use this Trine to tune into the Pleiades.

Its a great time to do this what with all the intense energies going on, plus the usual hussle and bustle that pre-holiday shoppers do now. We are prepping for a Super Full Moon on Dec 17 and Winter Solstice.

Please play it over and over while you call upon the Pleiadians.

As with all meditations you must prepare first.  Smudge or use incense to cleanse your aura and chakras. Slow your Breathing first in awareness, then calling in the 7 directions. Start with the east, move clockwise. Then the AS ABOVE, So BELOW, so within. The 7 sisters are related to the 7 Hathors or Egypt, 7 chakras etc.

Go outside at night. Find out when the Pleiades rise in your locality. They are always easy to spot. They are our ancestors according to Myths around the world. They are guardians. The Bible mention the Pleiades. They are very benevolent and protective. Call upon them. Sounding is also good, sound the Vowels.

The Pleiades help us to tune into our own Stellar consciousness, our innate cellular atomic connection to the origins of the Universe. There’s a cosmic physics that we are all connected. I was just watching a programme about Stephen Hawking and string theory. Physics are linking spirituality and science into one. Remember who you really are. I know I am a starseed.

Alcyone,wards off evil. Call upon her for protection. Asterope,  means lightning. Do you need to be hit by it to wake up? What do you need to enlighten in your life? Celaeno- swarthy. Elektra-  means shining.  Focus on your inner being which shines with immortal Light. Merope- eloquent, mortal. Focus on your fragile human form. Be grateful to have a human body and consciousness which is mortal. Taygete- long- necked. Where do you need to stick your neck out? Maia- which means Grandmother, or nurse. She will guide you and hold you. Love you. Protect you. Stay in the meditation for as long as you like and ask the 7 sistars to come into your dreams.

The Moon has entered more grounded peaceful pastures in Taurus April 10 -13 Ahhh.  We need  MORE EARTH.

That  Aries Backdraft has felt pretty Torrid and intense.

People with lots of fire planets  have felt it more whiz bangingly, and you?

Begin to Plant those sparks that were conceived on the ARIES New moon.

Mood is serious Thursday as Moon opposes Saturn in Scorpio- The Bull is toro’d by the Scorpio matador. There will be RED FLAGS  but watch out for hidden swords which may castrate.

El Toro then Trines Pluto – Bull market today? Power is in the air. Toro luna then sextiles Chiron there will be wounds to lick.

PLUTO  turns Retro April 11/12  @ 11 degrees 35 minutes Capricorn till September 20 @ 8.59 degrees 

Yes Pluto heads home to Hell, the Underworld. Where he belongs. Where the Soul lives.

Pluto spends about 5 months every year going Retrograde, the Feminine inward time..

I have been reading ancient  star lore myths, feeling the need to be more poetic,

Pluto Retro is the Soul {Feminine younger soul aspect Persephone} being raped by PLUTO- Lord of CHANGE

INTO THE DEPTHS of SELF – the Underworld is the INNERWORLD – not Hell as we moderns think of it for punishing souls

I am aware of the tragedy that women and girls are being raped physically ever day in the thousands

how the Earth herself is being raped by big Multinationals, MONSANTO, oil, mining, deforestation. It makes me sad.

MYTHOLOGICAL Psychologically Rape is in the story to force one to wake up – this is  Archetypal territory here

not to be taken literally, the myth of being wounded to grow and awaken is primal, it is part of life. The parents need to push the little bird out of the nest so it can fly, sometimes they hit the ground.

Not to mention Dictators and Plutocrats in the world and governments who are destroying conquering and killing

So be fearless  for these next months. What does your soul need to feed itself, to grow now?

As if your life depended on it. As Joseph Campbell says the myths still live within us.Through us.

The myth of ORPHEUS comes to mind, he sang and played beautiful music on his lyre, a harp like instrument

Something about TAURUS the throat, music.soul music.

Orpheus was married and widowed on his wedding day and was so sad he made the perilous journey to Hell and played for Persephone and Hades so they would release his Beloved to life again. They agreed on the condition that Orpheus did not look back at his wife until they reached the upper world. All was well until they almost made it out when Orpheus, overjoyed turned to look at his beautiful wife and OH NO she vanished for all eternity back to Hades. Eventually a group of women tore him apart as he spurned all their romantic desires.

What’s the moral of this story? Be tough and never falter? Move on with acceptance and grace even though your heart is broken to bits?

 Has there been a time in your life when you were so grief struck by a relationship that ended that you felt you couldn’t live without them? Or perhaps they died? suddenly? You’d do anything to get them back but in the end it failed, you had to accept it. But part of you carried the heart break and refused to go back into and trust  life.

How much time have you spent being unable to let go and accept  live?

You can rewrite the Orpheus myth for yourself.

my mythical poetic astro advice is -go gently into that good night in the days and months ahead

learn to let go completely, let go of the story and the drama around it no matter how hard

I know people who have gone through this

and I know myself too ….Pluto and Neptune are in sextile assisting DEEP, VAST, SPIRITUAL HEALING now.

If you visit the underworld daily in meditation, you can venture into those vast inner worlds

you can meet anyone and morph into anything in any time and any dimensions, and in your dreams every night
