They call her the Shekina in Hebrew and she comes to earth every Friday night at Sundown to be on earth with her children. The Divine Mother will love you as no human mother can. The patriarchal world still puts The Divine Mother down. But that time is over. Honor your mother and honor yourself, Honor the gift of your life. 

When I gave birth to my son Elijah, now almost 34 years ago at home, during the last hour of a 36-hour labor, I had a transcendent connection to every mother who had every been in labor and who had passed through this dangerous risk of losing her life or her child’s. I was initiated into the millions and billions of mothers at that moment. I was different I was changed by this singular experience. 

I am grateful for my two beautiful children, my son Elijah and my daughter Leah. They also chose me to be their mother. We all choose our parents from the souls perspective to work out the issues our souls choose to tackle in each lifetime. So no matter how bitter or resentful or hardened or cynical you may feel about your mother, she is still the one person you will have the most intimate relationship with in your entire life. That intimacy that bliss state, is stored in your cellular memories. You can connect with that state through meditation, hypnosis or flotation tanks. 

Have a joyous Mother’s Day. It’s good to honor Mom but really every day should be the day to honor the Mothering Principle and Mother Earth.

right after I wrote this my Internet went down, and my landline phone here in Sedona too. I had to call the internet provider and because it is Mercury Mars Saturn Jupiter etc Retrograde I went out and walked to the office which is only 10 minutes away to make sure they got the message.  This is not what I had expected. I really did have to BE HERE and nowhere else because I was cut off from communicating with the world. It’s great to be here.  It is real this magic.

How are we treating the earth? Pay attention to that too. Earthly resources are what we need to sustain life, Fresh water, clean air, unpolluted earth to grow food, No GMO’s. Decent housing for everyone, enough healthy food to eat, really basic stuff-food and shelter are the bottom lines. If people are in survival mode there is no time for the creativity that Venus in Taurus brings. That is icing on the cake.  We do not have limitless supplies of resources. 

Get back to the Garden. We are integrating our resources, taking inventory and stock of what we really own and have. Taurus New Moon’s are very sensual, so get into your body and enjoy the sensual pleasures of being here now.

Venus in Cancer, Gourmet Astrology

VENUS enters Cancer:  Home is where the heart is and the heart IS  home. 

This energy turns our hearts and our stomachs homeward bound. 

This is very feminine energy, highly sensitive, emotional, mothering- great for Mother’s Day. 

Do beautify your nest, put in a water feature, renovate a kitchen or bathroom or find a place you will love to call home.

This is the nurturing, plentiful, bountiful, beautiful Mother Goddess. The way to anyone’s heart with Venus in Cancer is literally through their stomachs.  Eat, eat like a stereotypical  Jewish Mother. Children will express more emotions and will need to be especially nurtured and cared for during this time.  

Venus, was born from the ocean,  the source of all Life,  as in the famous Botticelli painting. CANCER, is the ocean, the protective womb, the ocean.

FOOD + LOVE

WATER

Spend time near water, swim if you can, meditate and reflect on water. Do stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water. Do a water puja everyday. A water puja is a ritual where you offer water to a Goddess as a thank you. Water symbolizes consciousness as well as emotions. It can be done every time you wash your hands.  

WATER is also our most precious commodity. Water shortages in California, in Brazil and in many parts of the world highlights our need to save, protect and value Water. Nestle’s CEO says humans DO NOT Have the right to water!!!! Such arrogance, such demonic energy. If we don’t have water there is no food, and no nothing else. The fashion excesses of our modern cultural show how values {Venus} are totally askew. There is technology that can make water out of thin air literally. These technologies need to be funded and brought into public usage.

PSYCHOLOGICALLY

It will be easier to express and be receptive to emotions during this month. Water dissolves all hardness so both men and women will benefit from this. Tears will flow way more easily, so use these cleansing tears as a release. Appreciate your “sisterhood.”  Volunteer to help a women’s shelter, raise money for homeless people, volunteer at a food bank, or become a big sister.
