Aries Equinox March 20 International Astrology Day
EQUINOX! It’s SPRING in Northern HEMISPHERE also known as OSTARA
It’s INTERNATIONAL ASTROLOGY DAY
SUN enters ARIES March 20, 2021 2:38 am PDT/ 5:38 am EDT/ 9:38 am GMT
This is the REAL NEW YEAR as the SUN moves into 1st sign of the zodiac it sits right on the Equator creating equal day and night. This is one of only two days like this in the entire year. This is what the ancients celebrated in the Northern Hemisphere as the real NEW YEAR. Our pagan ancestors all celebrated in the turning of the Wheel of the year.
This Aries Ingress is an astrology birth chart used as the astrological snapshot of the theme and cosmic flavour of the year ahead until spring 2022. I have set this chart for GMT.
Let’s look back at the Spring Equinox in 2020 to see what is ahead in 2021-2022
At the Aries Ingress 2020, all planets were locked into a tight Draconic {Nodal} Bowl meaning all the planets were bunched into a very tight part of the entire Zodiac from Capricorn to Taurus with only the North Nodes being in Cancer. Sun was conjunct Chiron the Wounded healer in Aries making a square to the North Node in Cancer South Node in Capricorn, Saturn was in his home sign and rulership at the last VERY KARMIC degree 29°50′ and ruling the South Node.
Jupiter in Capricorn was in its fall and travel and its’ industry stopped. Mars in exaltation in CAPRCICORN was conjunct Jupiter, both to Pluto and all square to Eris-Goddess of DISTURBIA.
The waning AQUARIUS Moon squared Venus in Taurus, Jupiter, Pluto, and Ceres were all parallel adding more depth to their connections. No planets were out of bounds or Retrograde. Mars had entered the Draconic Bowl February 25th just before lockdowns began to take hold around the globe. By April 2020, about half of the world’s population was under lockdown, with more than 3.9 billion people in more than 90 countries or territories having been asked or ordered to stay at home by their governments.
Now in 2021 see the MOON symbolizing the mood of the people conjunct the NORTH NODE OF FATE and squaring MERCURY IN PISCES. Mercury governs the GEMINI North Node. This indicates a fated time of debate, conscious and unconscious choices, a split in communications, consensus and consciousness, much double talk, waffling and mindless chatter for the sake of noise and lots of indecisiveness. This speaks of secrets, illusions, projections, self-sabotage, mental illness, avoidance and addictions to be watched for. ALso oil, debt, Hollywood, glamour false gurus, false media worship and incarcerations, being jailed and behind the scenes. This looks divisive and confrontational although somewhat lighter and active for the year ahead. But we must remember 2021 is characterized by the SATURN URANUS Squares upcoming. Pluto is still headed for its 1st Return in the U.S. SIBLEY chart in February 2022.
MARS has got loose and escaped that tight Draconic Bowl, out of the North Node in Gemini. Mars, the ruler of the Sun in Aries seems to be the mover and shaker in this Ingress chart also in Airy active Gemini, joining fixed star Aldebaran the Eye of the Bull, the ARCHANGEL MICHAEL, and Watcher of the East. Mars adds a warrior protective active aspect to get things going and defend oneself against false media. Mars will begin to travel OOB Out of Bounds soon for 2 months which indicates wild energy, defensiveness and anger. Mars also aligns closely in this chart to CERES the GREAT MOTHER by sextile and to Saturn by positive trine indicating we need to aggressively take care of our food supply, dialogue about mother earth and sharing resources to feed the children.
The Sun is in wide conjunction to Chiron, and at the Midpoint of Jupiter and Uranus. Meaning the sun is synthesizing the expansion and rebellion of the two planets. SATURN is still in rulership again, this time in Aquarius, and continues to pressure URANUS by square Uranus and in a trine aspect to Mars.
VENUS is the planet in Exaltation this time around and is about to make the SACRED MARRIAGE in the HEART OF THE SUN CAZIMI making her Star Point on APRIL 25, as she last did in 2017. Venus also joins the Fixed Star Scheat.
A YOD or FINGER OF GOD aspect between Ceres and in ARIES Saturn point to asteroid VESTA Goddess of investments in VIRGO sign of food, harvesting, land, health penny pinching and budgets.
Once again no planets are in Retrograde, meaning that all systems are GO. This hasn’t happened since 2019 at an Aries Ingress, and the next time will be 2025.
The 2021 Ingress chart indicates that things seem to have more momentum and movement overall than 2020,
Mars and the Moon take the lead in Gemini, returning to a movement of freer speech and hearing from both sides on any issues, more social connectivity, and angry conversations about social media too. Interesting that Elon MUSK and Mars NASA rover are in the news as well as a new Moon launch coming up.
The ongoing debates of vaccinations re-opening our world, for those that will and those that will not continue to polarize our populations and who we connect and align with, as the very Aquarian themes of doing what is best for ALL continue to take precedence. But AQUARIUS is overall a sign of individual rights, rebellion, non-conformity and Freedom. If we are not FREE to VOICE what we think we have no freedom. Gemini will always be the devil’s advocate and I think that’s a healthy sign.
