June 20/21st is the Peak of the Sun’s Light, the Masculine FIRE in the Northern Hemisphere. At the day of the longest light and the shortest night of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. we turn with the Wheel of Time and the Natural Year. The shift begins now to the shortest Days of Light. the FEMININE force ascendS until winter solstice. And round and round the seasons go.

Midsummer’s Eve was believed to be a time when the veil between this world and the next is at its thinnest and when fairies were thought to be at their most powerful. Shakespeare’s famous play is based on ancient pagan beliefs. Party in the woods with some magic mushrooms round the Holly Tree. 

Midsummer/ Summer Solstice is the most powerful day of the year for the Sun Gods. Fire is the predominant element in the celebration. Fire is spirit, action, and passion. Balefires have always been lit on hilltops since very ancient times and still are to provide magical aid to the dying Sun and also used to drive out evil and to bring fertility and prosperity to the people, crops, and herds.  Stonehenge is the most widely known of these ancient calendrical markers. The heel stone marks the midsummer sunrise as seen from the center of the great stone circle.

Magical Aspects

A candle should be lit for the entire day, especially if it is cloudy or raining. The fire represents the Sun and is a constant daily reminder of the power of the Source. Rituals should be performed at noon when the sun is highest and strongest. Many pagans initiate protective amulets which become empowered over the Midsummer balefire.

Ring of Fire Spell 
 “This spell is based on a little-known solar ritual from the Aegean islands. Long ago on the night before the Summer Solstice, hoops were set ablaze, and the villagers would guide the Sun’s return by jumping through rings of fire. You can create your own ring of fire with this spell. At dusk, outdoors if possible, light four candles of the appropriate color, one for each season, in a circle. In the center place a gold or yellow candle for the Sun. Light the seasonal candles and say:

“Seasons must turn,
Let the Sun return.”

Light the Sun candle and say:

Coupling or handfasting

Midsummer is the time to formalize any relationship. Couples that have been together a year and a day since the previous Beltane can make their marriage final. This Sabbat is also an excellent time to renew wedding vows.

Sage, mint, basil, Saint John’s Wort, sunflower, mistletoe (specifically the berries which represent semen), oak, rowan, and fir.

 Litha foods

The Midsummer Moon is also known as the HONEYMOON, where this term originated. Mead is made, a drink considered to be a magical life enhancing drink. Magical baking and charms are created on this special day. Traditionally this festival spans three days. This year it is June 20-23rd.

Elderflowers

Elderflowers peak at Midsummer. Pick them in the fullness of a sunny day, ideally on Midsummer’s Day. The Elder is sacred to the Mother Goddess and is often called the Witch’s Tree, the Elder Mother, or Queen of the Trees. It is protective with wonderful healing properties. It aids transformation, change, and renewal, this drink will aid in transforming your life. You could also drink elderberry juice. 

 Eat Honey Cake

A celebration of a sweet life. If you can source locally produced honey its the best. Wherever it comes from always thank the precious Bees.

Hawaiian magic orgasm mushroom

 

“Hawaiian Mushroom makes women orgasm just by smelling it” said the title. The Moon is in ultra sexy Scorpio Sept 5 making no aspects, and this article appeared before me. I couldn’t not let you know.

 The study was from 15 years ago, one-half a Saturn Return  and took place during the Saturn-Pluto opposition from Gemini to Sagittarius.

 The legend, has been handed down through the generations from a source shrouded in the mists of time. Appearing mysteriously, in varying forms, in far-flung regions of the globe, but particularly the South Pacific, these legends tell a similar story various cultures speak of a mushroom with aphrodisiac effects on women.

  A 15-year-old report from 2001 recently resurfaced on the Internet alleges to have found mushrooms that caused women to spontaneously orgasm were discovered growing atop thousand-year-old lava fields on the Big Island of Hawaii. Scientists are skeptical.

John Holliday and Noah Soule’s findings were published in 2001 in the International Journal of Medicinal Mushrooms, according to the blog IFL Science.

But could these mushrooms really give off a scent that leads to spontaneous being in Heaven?

The study said that half the women had spontaneous orgasms just from whiffing this fungus. The mushrooms referenced in the study are known as netted stink horns and also grow in China, adding that they can be used as an ingredient in soups and bought in airport gift shops. The Chinese know about these herbal remedies and have been using them for thousands and thousands of years.  

The orgasm triggered by the fungus is due in part from hormones in the mushroom that are close in similarity to the same ones picked up by our own neurotransmitters. Basically, the smell of this shroom makes the female body think it’s having sex. 

Take your time, I’ll wait. Really let your mind paint that picture, and enjoy it while you can. Because here comes the bad news:

Stinkhorn mushroom looks very phallic, nature always gives clues as to a plants purpose.

Unfortunately, it smells really horrible, more so to men than to women. In the International Journal of Medicinal Mushrooms, the discoverers of the orange fungus, John C. Holliday, and Noah Soule, concluded that all the male test subjects were repulsed by the fetid smell. 

Ladies if you’ve never had an orgasm then this is for you. A Hawaiian herbal manufacturing company was interested in marketing them as an aphrodisiac. If your man is not that great in bed, go find these mushrooms and hide a bunch of them under the bed. Then Febreze the crap out of your bedroom, soak your boudoir with a ton of your favorite perfume or if you are a nose dominatrix, grab a clothespin for your man or just experience alone and enjoy. Thank me later. 

I would recommend finding them in Chinese herbal medicine shops and asking how to use them. Saturn in now in Sagittarius and the truth must out.

Saturn in the 12th house,coping strategies, Card of the day

I am sick with a cold and should be sleeping my fine friends and readers. I’ve been up all night in fact, writing obsessively for this blog daily for months now. I love it and knowing so many of you are reading it makes me feel like I am fulfilling my mission. But I need to slow down a bit.  I am having Saturn in Scorpio in my 12th house and that’s a tiring, did I say OBSESSIVE? transit. Are you going through this one?

COPING STRATEGIES 

If you are, you know how Saturn tests and limits you. The 12th House is always a natural PISCES house, this is the most secret house, the house of origin and return SPIRIT, Bliss, the Unconscious, self undoing, illusion, delusion ,fantasy spirituality, enclosures, ashram, gurus, creativity, dreaming, psychology.  Cocooning. Awaiting rebirth. With SCORPIO, 8th house issues in the 12th it combines both these emotional, watery, dreamy, energies. It  is very deep, intense, facing the shadow, power,control, sex, money, jealousy, revenge, spite, obsession issues on top of it. Being ground down by Saturn, grist for the mill, the ego, the Unconscious self is turned to dust. Saturn is earth, it’s like dying before being reborn. Dust to dust as they say. It’s hard to keep the outer worldly ego up and parading about in the 10th house of career when all the energy is pointing inward, Hermit like to the 12th. VISION QUESTING is what is called for. 

Saturn in the 12th represents a long ending to a journey begun when Saturn crossed your Ascendant, 28-29 years ago. If you have a 16-20 degree SCORPIO Ascendant then the REBIRTH happens as SATURN crosses the line shortly into the 1st House and a WHOLE NEW LIFE CYCLE begins. My son Elijah was a baby, I was into being a new mom, nursing on demand, having a family bed, and running my first husband and I, crafts business and a house.

As Saturn crosses the Ascendant it is  literally like the first breath of air that a baby takes upon being born..

So the prep is very important.  Saturn moves from 16 degrees Scorpio – ZERO degrees Sagittarius in 2014. SATURN will backtrack into Scorpio again, finally entering  Sagittarius in June 2015.
