i find it lends much deeper meaning to the Astrology signs to use the symbols which represent them in the major Arcana. The STAR and AQUARIUS are symbols of cosmic wisdom and hope.

I note that I am ranting these days. MARS in SAGITTARIUS is making me speak the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth along with SATURN in SAGITTARIUS and Jupiter in VIRGO making me keep it real. 

Don’t get me started on  paid of doctor’s who say  we don’t want breastfeeding being called natural because that lends to dangerous parenting practices.etc etc

what new steps have you taken to break free?

The Sun is of course in LEO the sign of THE SELFIE SUPRME at 18+ degrees having a very close encounter with Mercury 2 degrees away.

AQUARIUS the 11th sign is the “WE generation” the opposite of LEO the ME Generation. Aquarius is the “otherie”  or “othery” Aquarius is the revolutionary, hi tech, inventor, cutting edge thinker, detached, freedom loving individual with a capital I.

Uranus rules Aquarius as does SAturn in Traditional Astrology. Aquarius energy works well with groups, the 11th house is traditionally called the Hose of WISHES HOPES and DREAMS, like the concept of the Wish Fulfilling Gem in Buddhism and has to do with receiving love.

LEO And Aquarius are a pair of opposites and are always inter-connected.

This Full MOON highlights what is OURS in the Collective and what is mine.  Each individual is part of the collective whether they are aware of that or not. Aquarius always marches to their own drummer. They are the world-servers, LIGHT WORKERS, HIGHER CONSCIOUSNESS bringers of the New Age of LIGHT.

  there is a close fixed square to SATURN IN SCORPIO. Saturn is the final word on all things material.

A FIXED mode square is very intense and the intensity creates the tension necessary to make something move. 

Saturn is the Grim Reaper especially in SCORPIO, the sign of Death and Rebirth.   Sun and Moon square Saturn now direct is a challenge to own our own authority, set strong very strong boundaries. Make long term goals and stick with them. Integrity, discipline, inner authority are all primary issues one needs to dwell on at this Full MOON.

Uranus and SAturn are in a close quincunx with each from June 24- Aug 16 showing us that we need to restructure {Saturn} old patterns of rigidity and fear {Saturn} that are holding us back from being Free {Uranus} in ALL areas of our lives. Both these planets rule AQUARIUS>. The fight between the old and new paradigms is very intense now.

Uranus TRINES THE SUN and MERCURY and is semi-sextile – 30 degrees away from Chiron the wounded healer in PISCES which SATURN is TRINING allowing an easy breezy flow to see how far we have advanced and where we still need to do further work unearthing {Saturn} our Light the SUN.

Venus is late in Cancer and enters LEO August 12  Get your cuddling nurturing and home loving eating in now. 

Uranus is Retrograding back to square Pluto more intensively as well. The Cardinal Cross continues well into 2015.

The Knave of swords is traditionally a very young teenager shown wielding a sword. He is just learning, open, gullible. He has lots of energy, is naive,idealistic, unformed, he is perceptive, curious, constantly seeking answers.  He is always questioning, and has a tumultuous energy, he is a bit like a small whirlwind. He loves information. Swords are the element of Air and the mind, which are meant to discern meaning. He may think he knows everything before he knows anything. He is quick to fight, defend his ideas which are still very new.

DIANA/Artemis is the MOON Goddess Herself.

She is a young ever youthful virgin Goddess who belonged to no man.  She was a huntress, always carrying a bow and arrows and running in the woods  at night to hunt with her dogs. She is Mistress of wild animals, as she derives from a very ancient cult of the BEAR, or the Big Dipper constellation. She is patroness of wild animals. She protects women in childbirth, and protects women and young girls from disease. The dear and the cypress tree are two of her symbols.   She symbolizes virgin ONENESS, as she is whole unto herself. Other attributes of the Goddess are trust and innocence. She is associated with water, the heart, feelings, emotions. She ritually renewed herself in a sacred spring . One of her main temples was in Ephesus Turkey, where the Goddess is shown with hundreds of breasts down the front of her body, symbolizing unconditional nurturing.

MEANING

When I first chose the card, the first image that popped into my head was Edward Snowden, now safe in Venezuela. Like the knave of swords, he is a brash brave, curios, information gatherer, and a 29th degree Gemini to boot, who used the pen as a weapon,which is way mightier than any sword.

The 2nd version of the Card, the Goddess version seems to seamless blend with the NEW MOON in Cancer symbolism which I wrote about in my previous article. The Goddess Artemis, is a young wild, exuberant Goddess. She is associated with women, water, nourishment, protection.

Emotions will be high on this New Moon. Mars is the ONLY planet in an AIR sign, and sometimes our emotions can overwhelm us. The element of air as detachment is necessary so that we can witness our emotions and not be engulfed by their immense power.

STRENGTH/LUST in the Thoth Tarot 

I meditate before I pick each card.  Tarot Trump # 11 is called LUST in the Thoth Tarot and STRENGTH/LEO in most other decks.

This is LEO the LION STRENGTH, PASSION,   pride, courage, daring, drive, leadership, power,

the taming the beast within which is what the card shows. The naked woman is holding the Holy Grail.

Also called FORTITUDE- in older medieval decks- the focus and moral courage to fight for the good, the righteous.

LEO is heart chakra energy, it’s being strong and courageous enough to open your heart, to wear it on your sleeve,

to fight and defend what is in your heart and those who are most dear and treasured by you.

Leo’s protect their families and anyone they truly care about.

Think about the kind of strength, passion and will it would take to force open a lion’s jaws. This is the usual symbol on the card.

In many Tarot decks the number 8 – Justice and 11 are interchangeable. It is complicated, but suffice it to say that  various Tarot authors and adepts saw different pathways and used different modes to get to the same place. In Numerology 8 is a karmic number when turned on its side it is INFINITY. The lemniscate or INFINITY SIGN is always shown floating over the woman’s head traditionally.

I just realised it is June 11th. So it’s an 11:11 kind of thing. A wake up call.

Number 11 is a MASTER NUMBER, the number of memory, the twin gates or pillars of the ancient temple. 11 is the resonant point between # 20 Judgement/Rebirth and # 2 the HIGH PRIESTESS.  11 is a very powerful number. You already know everything it is in your cellular consciousness. Go within, tame your fears, your ego-the wild beast,  survival  consciousness and evolve, remember who you really are.

MEANING

MEDITATE ON where your strengths are. 

You are an infinite being of Light, a Sun,a STAR. The ruler of LEO is the SUN. Feel your inner radiance, feel the source within, the heat, power and the light that you are. You have infinite power and potential to conquer anything, especially lower level vibrations. 

Where’s your deepest  desires? What turns you on? What makes your heart go boom? Not sexually but in a deeper heart-felt desire.

You must learn to harness/tame your own animal- lower consciousness nature,literally sexual lust  in order to advance on the spiritual path.  

FOLLOW YOUR BLISS- Joseph Campbell said. If you do that you will be on your hero/heroine’s/soul’s journey.
