Remembering John Lennon, 2020

“In my life I’ve loved you more. ” from In My Life by John Lennon 1965, 25 years old. 

October 9th, 2020  remembering the extraordinary Working Class Hero, Beatle leader John Lennon on what would have been his 80th Birthday. He was and still is one of my heroes.

John Lennon was an extremely unusual, intelligent man and a very strong individual. He did prophesy his own death. “The way things are going, they’re going to crucify me.” 56 years after the Beatles came to America and conquered the world the Beatles are still as famous and their legendary songs live on for future generations, Imagine, one of the greatest songs ever written will become the Aquarian age anthem. 

John was a number 6 personality and Soul number. The #6 is THE LOVERS in the Tarot. The center of the Tree of  Life, Tifferet, Beauty. Also, related to Gemini energy, the twins, communications, the mind. John had many sides to his personality and many ghosts.

Did you see that cute little film Yesterday? It posits a parallel Universe where the Beatles never existed. In one scene the anti-hero who is one of the few poeple who remembers the Beatles gets to meet John Lennon who is an ordinary man in this alternate universe. The scene where we see John at 78 years old brought tears to my eyes. 

Let’s look at John’ss birth chart and the transits on his 80th. Synchronistically Mercury in Scorpio is conjunct with his Natal Mercury and Venus is also in Virgo.

John Lennon is an airy thinking type, a Libra, sign of relationships, harmony, balance, partnerships, Peacemakers, and social charmers was born just after sunset during an air raid on Liverpool during the Second World War. Ruled by the planet Venus he was an artist through and through. Creative types have strong Venus and Neptune planets. Lennon has Venus at 3 degrees of Virgo, in the 6th house of work, service, analysis, criticism, humility and perfectionism. Not what you would expect. Neptune at 26 degrees Virgo in the 6th house is square to the Galactic Center. He was a true metaphysician and visionary.

 His Virgo Venus is quincunx or inconjunct 150-degree aspect to the MOON in Aquarius which is the highest elevated “planet” in his chart. John was governed by his emotions, which could be cold, detached, rude, hard, unfeeling. John and his mother had a distant relationship. He was abandoned by his father at three and then by his mother and brought up by his very strict Aunt Mimi at five. John hardly knew his mother until his late teens, He discovered that Julia, a beautiful vivacious redhead, was living close by and he finally got to know her and his two younger half-sisters. His mother introduced him to Rock and Roll and taught him to play banjo. Moon/ Venus in a difficult aspect indicates the great love for and deep loss of his Mother- killed in a car accident when he was 17 years old.  

Lennon’s Aquarian MOON -the Revolutionary moon, high up in his chart, indicates his worldly status and position. He cooly and cruelly walked away from his first wife Cynthia and his young son Julian suddenly after getting involved with Outsider conceptual artist Yoko Ono in 1967.

Mars was conjunct Neptune in Libra, he was driven, sparked, fired up through his creativity. All artists & musicians’ channel through Neptune planet of SPIRIT. This is the mark of the visionary.

Mars in Libra is focused on “others” and has difficulty making decisions, Mars in Libra is vulnerable, sensitive in the Venus-ruled sign, a peaceful warrior. Mars rules Lennon’s hot-headed -ram butting acerbic-tongued ARIES Ascendant. He appeared tough, masculine, strong-willed, defensive, independent, with a big temper. Lennon’s famous vulnerable songs like HELP! I Need somebody, hey you got to hide your love away.  etc. illustrate the deep vulnerability.

URANUS,the revolution planet, of strong individuals, freedom fighters, group minded Aquarian Age, Higher Consciousness “Power to the People.” is Trine his Neptune at 25 degrees Retrograde in earthy sensual creative Taurus. Lennon was bullish on revolution and freedom.

Lennon was born with a positive Jupiter Saturn conjunction in Taurus, both Retrograde, opposite his Mercury in Scorpio. This is where Lennon’s famed quick-witted, sarcasm comes from. Mars also ruled his fork-tongued Mercury.

Mercury in Scorpio also gave Lennon’s song lyrics great depth. He had the ability to see right through people so could spot a phony a mile away. Songs like Sexy Sadie A Day In the Life, and Working Class Hero are very deep songs.

Lennon had Chiron at zero degrees Leo conjunct Pluto in the 4th house of roots, childhood, mother, home, family, privacy. He was a world soul healer deep-down. Pluto rules the collective unconsciousness as well as the personal Soul drives. Wounded by his early abandonment by his father, and a mother who was not really there for him, Lennon needed Leo’s fame and adulation to cover up those very raw wounds he felt at his core. He did primal therapy to help heal those wounds as an adult.

The Leo needs to shine like the SUN in the world, was an immensely powerful drive.  The Sun in Libra on the cusp of the 7th house of relationships rules his Pluto in Leo. Through creative collaborations, his songwriting talents with Paul McCartney are a legend of course. Here Lennon would find some balance, some peace and connect with all “others.”

Lennon’s chart shows a Grand Trine between the Moon, Uranus in Taurus, and the North Node in Libra- it’s very wide and out of sign. this gives Lennon’s signature as a revolutionary man who would make a huge mark on the world as an artist and peacemaker. 

Mainly there is a FIXED Grand CROSS in his chart-making Lennon a  very intense person. His 10th house MC of world fame is Capricorn. It is real, ambitious, required patience, he started singing publicly at 16. Lennon was a leader, a bit more mature. Capricorn is the sign of worldly fame and fortune.

 So, a short light look at the man who was John Lennon. Whose fame will live on always because music is the food of love and Lennon’s song IMAGINE is one of the rarest and greatest songs ever written.

I do believe he was very enlightened,  although flawed human personality. I could believe that he was like a modern-day Jesus. His life was very much the same. He spoke incredible truth. Loved by millions, he influenced a cultural change that just now is finding its true feet.

Can you IMAGINE a world WITHOUT John Lennon in it?

Bless you John Lennon and thanks for the music and the inspiration, I join you in the dream of Peace. What did John Lennon mean to you?

P.S. I was a huge Beatles fan as a teenager. My daughter Leah was raised on only Beatles or classical music. I remember driving in the car and turning around to see her at 6 sitting in her car seat singing along to “Say you want a revolution, well you know… we’d all love to see the plans.”

Virgo moon opposes Neptune in the week hours on Friday.Moon also conjuncts Mars in Virgo later in the morning.

Virgo is The Hermit in the Tarot and Neptune is Pisces is the Moon

The moon also conjuncts Jupiter in the latter afternoon. It is  a good day to organize, clean up your act. 

Moon trines Pluto later that day as well. A good body enrichment, soul enriching aspect.

A good day to focus on your big dreams and long-term career, high noon position.

This brings a nice body/spirit/mental/emotional balance. Can be used specifically for  some practical dreaming.

Before you go to bed at night. Incubate a dream.

Before you go to bed do a body scan. With your imagination visit the inside of your body which is your spiritual vehicle. You can envision this as having a flashlight lighting up the darkness inside your body. Sense if there is a heat, energy or knot anywhere in your system. This can be muscular, skeletal, in a major organ, emotional or spiritual.

Try this out and see what happens. It can be simply be a felt sense. 

And then ask to scan your body in your dream state. 

Incubate a LUCID DREAM, this is where you are awake and conscious that you are dreaming.

When you wake up don’t go into your head. Stay in your body sensing. Scan your body for signs of heat, cold, blocks, knots and put your hands on those places. You can send Universal healing energy to any block in your body. That is what Reiki is and I don’t believe you need to be certified necessarily to do this. It is a natural thing and simply requires your mind is able to tune into Higher consciousness energies.

MARS in Virgo energy is extremely analytical hard-working and precisely driven. Virgo is ruled by MERCURY, it is a mutable grounded sign with a strong intellectual connotation. Mars in Virgo’s energy is very disciplined about health, diet, hygiene and order. Mars in Virgo brings out the  OCD impulses, always worrying and fussing. This is a time of hyper criticism and focussing on what is communicated. Mars in Virgo will have you balance your books, rail on your budgets, and be super nerdy. Much like Sheldon Cooper in the Big Bang Theory. BAZINGA!

Mars in Virgo -The pen is mightier than the sword and intellectual attacks can slay with criticism.

Mars in Virgo is squaring Sagittarius horse butts to get their acts together, makes Pisces dreamers get real, and grounds airy Gemini’s into taking care of business and balancing accounts.

The ECONOMY is about to CRASH! OCTOBER is historicaly always the month of big Market crashes. 

Venus will re-enter Virgo October 8th putting 3 personal planets in Virgo. The servant’s sign.  Venus Mars Jupiter Saturn and Neptune are all in Mutable signs, changeable energy.

The PTP  Pacific Trade Pact was signed in secret October 5 in Atlanta at 5:00 am under this Mars Neptune energy.

Which is all about secrets, land, the veil of illusion, pipe dreams, enslavement, water. The Chinese government can come to Canada for example with their own Chinese $2 a day slave workers and destroy any piece of  property they want with impunity and not have to clean up the mess. They can also sue for loss of profits. This is a terrible mess. The New World Order and the Corporate world slavery years have begun unless this is turned around.  Big Pharma is also a huge player in this. Neptune rules DRUGS of all kinds.  Why reached in secret? Mars in Virgo is the accountant. Neptune in Pisces is debts, endings of cycles, Oneness, compassion and forgiveness.

So take a long hard look at your debts. To many Gen X’ers having a Mortgage think it is not a debt but an asset. It’s a debt. The bank owns your house until you pay it off in its entirety.  

Mars is drive, sexuality, defenses, energy, initiating. Virgo is the body, the digestive tract, the intestines. Animal intestines used to be read by diviners years ago. Virgo is health. Virgo is the service oriented sign. Humble, real, hard-working and intelligent.

Hey we sure could use a drive back to Intelligence these days, practical thinking, common sense. 

Neptune in Pisces is the fantasy, the projection, the glamour, the illusion, the dream. Neptune rules oil, now tanking, Hollywood, drugs recreational and pharmaceutical, addictions, delusions. Neptune rules film, photography, video games. Neptune in Pisces is spiritual escapism, false gurus, rehab, debt, credit cards,  ashrams, karma and institutions.

So we get the first reality check here.  Neptune and Saturn will square off on Nov. 26 2015 for the first time and continue into 2016.

This date it is very historical. On October 9 1965 @ 3;17 pm EST Uranus and Pluto were exactly conjunct at the 18th degree of Virgo.  There would be two more conjunctions on April 4 and June 30 in 1966 at the 17th degree of Virgo. The Uranus Pluto cycle began in 1850-51 when Pluto was not yet discovered. This was a time of the wider spread of the Industrial Revolution and Colonialism. The Chart is calculated without EST.

This week marks the 50th anniversary of the first exact Uranus Pluto conjunction and the Chiron Return of this definitive time. This is a time for the torch that was lit in the 60’s to be passed to those born during this time to act on those seeded impulses..

We are experiencing the Chiron Return of the beginning of the 60’s Revolution. This is a time to look back at where these times were birthed. The ideal of the 60’s.

See how the planets are aligned again to vibrate off the original signature chord struck then;

Jupiter at 11 degrees Virgo is exactly opposite to where Saturn was and close to where Uranus and Pluto were. Expanding into a higher octave of learning.

Transiting Neptune at 7 degrees of Pisces in 2015 is squaring the South Node at 5 degrees Sagittarius and the North Node at 5 degrees Gemini. Where have we ended up since then?

Saturn now at 1 degree Sagittarius is conjunct to Venus at zero Sag. and Mars at 3 of Sag. and the South Node and Saturn is also inconjunct to 1965’s Jupiter at 1 degree Cancer. This is a karmic result of the Values, economics, of women, {VENUS} the drives, protests, wars {Mars}  and educational philosophical teachings that we have left behind Soth Node in Sagittarius. Saturn opposing the North Node in Gemini is the communications and over-heady place we are at now.. 

Transitting Uranus at 18 degrees Aries is opposed to 1965 Sun in Libra at 16 degrees. How much of a revolution did we have? What really changed? Do we have the peace and equal relationships we hoped we did?

Pluto in Capricorn is also square to the Sun in 1965. The corporate reality vs. The Ideology.

Clearly what has been triggered then is being revisited now. 

Those born in the mid- 60’s will now have to act on the cosmic plan which was seeded then with their own consciousness to be their guide. 

MARS Neptune opposition ritual

For a ritual i would want to find the middle ground between the uber harsh reality and the false addictive escapist fantasy. 

At 7 degrees Sagittarius/ Gemini is the middle ground Conjunct to Archangel Ariel. Fixed Star Antares.

This is a good energy to break addictions with. Mars in Virgo gives strength of mind and determination over the body. 

Mars in Virgo takes account of your denial, what you have been avoiding and procrastinating about.

Neptune in Pisces with Mars can bring back a very practical faith, a spiritual discipline. 

Health issues need to be considered from the mind/body/spiritual/emotional split. Western medicine is all head and science. Eastern Medicine sees spiritual and emotional causes. There are karmic reasons for disease as well.

Saturn { testing, obstacles, karma} will square 17 degrees Virgo {1965 position November 24- December 4, 2016. 

Jupiter in Virgo squares Saturn in Sagittarius March 23 2016 at 16+ degrees and May 26 at 14+ degrees Virgo/Pisces.

Saturn and Neptune Retrograde have an EXACT Square on June 18/19 2016 at 12+ degrees Sagittarius/Pisces again another EXACT on Sept 10/11 @ 10+ degrees Sagittarius/Pisces.

Jupiter and Saturn sextile each other exactly on December 31 2016 at 21+ degrees Libra/ Sagittarius.
