Post full moon, Cocky Chinese Fire Rooster year

This full Moon Grand Cardinal cross is making me feel very tired. Plus that sweet Venus-Neptune conjunction is calling me to dreamland. I don’t know about you. 

The Moon enters LEO Jan 12 later in the afternoon. Mercury re-enters serious Capricorn. Your words must bear weight and gravitas. Walk your talk.

Ego battles abound. Don’t take any of it too seriously.

I just looked ahead through 2017 and went OY SATURN enters HIS OWN HOUSE on Dec 19 two days before Winter Solstice. Yikes. Better get yer yah yah’s on now with Saturn in an upbeat positive, good-humored sign. Saturn in SAGITTARIUS insists on honesty, justice, inspiration, truth. The next 2.5 years 2018-2020 ish with Saturn in his own sign will be HARD. Difficult, entrenched, power battles, conservative, testing. It will be because “i say it is.” Life will be a test on every level. Life may be a  struggle for the bare necessities.

So enjoy the NOW, it isn’t all that pretty I know on many levels. Stay optimistic. 

The CHINESE FIRE ROOSTER YEAR begins on the New Moon in Aquarius on the 27/28th in Beijing and celebrations continue for over a week.

The characteristics of Fire Roosters will dominate the Chinese New year. People and fire roosters are short-tempered and demand punctuality. Don’t snooze or be lazy or you will loose. 

This can be a wealth-oriented year. A year to accumulate beautiful things and to strut around showing off your accumulated wealth. Fire roosters are lucky and invest money well. 

Fire roosters get benefits in middle age. They thrive on challenges, they have goals and will work to overcome difficulties to get to their goals. They like competition and thrive on it. 

In love and passion fire rooster have rich colorful emotional lives. They like to have many partners. They like domineering others and controlling situations. Arguments can start easily and quickly escalate out of control. They are very proud of those they love.

No matter what Chinese animal you are you can benefit from tapping into Rooster characteristics. Being clear, independent, capable, having self- respect, and being quick minded are all positive traits. Avoid turning these qualities into negatives like impatience, criticism, eccentricity, narrowmindedness, and selfishness.  Roosters are always busy. This is a year to make sure you have clear goals, avoid laziness, depression, avoidance, numbing out and feeling like you don’t have the energy to finish goals.

The majority of people in the year will be celebrating the Zodiac zign of the Rooster on Jan 28. There will be dragon parades in major cities, San Francisco, there is one in Toronto and I am sure in Vancouver as well as Beijing and throughout all cities in China.

My mother used to collect Chicken and rooster figurines. I still have her collection. I will have to dust them off and bring them out.
