Saudi Arabia, predictions from Tara Greene

King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, the biggest producer in the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, passed away January 22 at age 90. King Abdullah was a U.S. ally who fought al-Qaida and sought to modernize the ultra conservative Muslim kingdom, even nudging open greater opportunities for women.

Kingship in Muslim dynasties tends to pass between brothers. Who should inherit? Ottoman sultans used to solve this problem by murdering their brothers. Not easy if you happen to have 45-odd male siblings, as was the case for the five succeeding sons of Abdel Aziz bin Saud, the founder of Saudi Arabia.  Abdullah is being succeeded by his 79-year-old half-brother, Prince Salman who is 78 and ailing.  A royal decree appointed his youngest surviving brother, Muqrin, born in 1945, as second in line to the throne after the crown prince.

Saudi Arabia is in the midst of crashing oil prices and having to confront Iran as well as fighting against Muslim extremists allying itself with the U.S. and other countries. The 2nd largest Arabic country, 30% of the world’s oil supplies originate here as well as the most beautiful horses.

So lets look at The Astrology Chart of Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia astrology Tara Greene

Chart for founding of Modern Kingdom Saudi Arabia

S.A.’s Sun is at the 29th degree of Virgo, the “most critical” of critical signs. Virgo rules the harvest, analysis, perfection, organization. With Mercury and the South Node also conjunct in Virgo, it appears their heritage is of  perfect duty and  wise decision-making. Virgo is the 6th sign, and the 2nd earth sign, traditionally relates to  practical resources, health, animals and certain Arabic countries according to Rex Bills. Virgo governs Baghdad, Assyria,  Turkey, and Los Angeles, Brazil and Jerusalem, Israel.

Of course one of the richest oil-producing countries in the world would have a prominent Neptune, which it does. It’s in Virgo conjunct Jupiter [ expansive} in its 3rd house of communications. Jupiter also rules religion and Neptune spirituality which shows the importance of keeping a deeply traditional religious culture.

Moon at 27 degrees Gemini in the 12th house is conjunct to the Pole Star. Everything revolves around Saudi. Even if its true sensitive, home connected emotions are well hidden. It has secret activities and powers in the world.

The Moon symbolizes mother, women, intuition and feelings which are kept very removed from sight. Women are limited and restricted, they are the dirty secret. The Moon is literally in a harem, sequestered away but unconsciously the source, no matter how repressed.

A Cancer Ascendant @ 2 degrees from the United States Sun at 13 degrees, shows why the two countries have collaborated.  Pluto at 23 degrees Cancer in the 1st house makes it a rich and powerful country, with power being held in very tight control.

Pluto is opposite Saturn in Capricorn Retrograde at 28 degrees in the 7th house of all “others”   indicating a very strict Patriarchal history. Pluto and Saturn are in a Cardinal T-square to Uranus at 22 degrees of Aries in the 10th house of worldly fame. Very interesting. Saudi Arabia was born with the kind of energy that is being re-formed now. Uranus symbolizing revolution, freedom, independence, new technologies, electricity, higher thought. No wonder it has been more forward thinking.

Venus is at the 15th, the most powerful degree of Leo in the 2nd house of resources. Yes royalty, big wealth, we are Kings.

Mars is in early Leo in the 1st house of self-identity. Like their flag, this shows they are a nation of fighters, militant, macho, always on the defensive. The country identifies as feeling divinely empowered.  Mars is conjunct Pluto and opposing Saturn. This is a very heavy, conservative Plutocracy, Oligarchy, heavy-handed, controlling place.

Chiron at 28 degrees Taurus is conjunct the 7 weeping sisters, and I have taken the symbols of Astrology literally lately and they work! Women weep behind the curtains because they are disempowered.

The North Node or highest spiritual goal is in Pisces, ruler of oil, illusion, delusion, debt, spirituality in the 9th house of foreigners, higher education, freedom, religious tolerance, teachers.  Saudi must aim to be more inclusive. Pisces is the sign of Oneness.

2015 and beyond

Saudi Arabia is being transformed by Uranus and Pluto on its Ascendant/Descendant squared by Uranus now. A new identity and way of relating to the world is occurring.

Saudi will have its Uranus Return which only happens once very 84 years. It starts in October 2015 and becomes more powerful in 2016. It is a harbinger of rebirth, revolution, freedom, big changes, new technology, innovation, breaking with the founding of the country. They may be much bloodshed. I see it as fundamentalists vs. liberation. There will be reformation, fomentation.

Uranus will be squaring the country’s Pluto in 2016. This will really rock the boat. Uranus is in for power plays, espionage, attack.

Chiron, the wounded healer comet is conjunct to Saudi’s North Node this year. They will be feeling vulnerable, insecure, adapting to survival mode. This only happens once every 50 years.

Jupiter will enter Virgo on Aug 11 and will conjunct Neptune Jupiter south Node and Mercury by the end of 2015 and into 2016. Jupiter expands, but it can also be too much of a good thing. Jupiter symbolizes foreigners, justice, education, honesty. Saudi may have to diversify its products and change the way it communicates.

Saturn in Sagittarius will be squaring Neptune and Jupiter in 2015 which is Saudi’s fortunes. Neptune rules debt, even though they have been made super rich by America using its’ oil, they may have blown it all.

Saturn will Retrograde back to 28 degrees during the summer of 2015 and be directly opposite Chiron in Taurus. This falls in the 5th house  indicated definite limits on self- expression. Chiron/Saturn is wounds of the father, so there may be huge infighting. Saturn will enter the 6th house of lean times, hard work and discipline.

Neptune is almost now opposed to the natal chart at 8 degree s of Virgo from the 9th to the 3rd houses. Neptune rules oil and the 50% drop in oil prices in the last 6 months is almost unheard of. The party may be over! Neptune rules debt and illusion. You’d think they would have shored up some dollars for a rainy day. But you know how often it rains in the desert.

Saturn will be opposing the countries Natal Moon in 2017 which indicates tough times and a sense of retreating or having hidden agendas in the world, of being like the Hermit.

Mars in Pisces, 10 tips for Peace warriors

The Moon enters Libra Jan 11 which should bring a sense of emotional balance, or at least a pause to catch our breath and center. We are reeling from the state of the world’s hatred, cruelty and violence from the horrific murders last week in France.

MARS in PISCES Jan 12 – Feb. 19

Mars, the planet of war, aggression, terrorists, anger and passion enters the peaceful Mystical water sign of Pisces and this is extremely well-timed to turn the heat down and let it simmer for a bit. Millions of people marched in solidarity for unity is a Pisces theme of Oneness.

Pisces is the last ad most spiritual and psychic of all the signs.

MARS SQUARE SATURN in SAGITTARIUS Jan 14

Is the war on terrorism starting again? Literally this is a war {MARS} against Patriarchy {SATURN,the Father}. The aspect is exact at 1 degree of Sagttarius. Hopefully the war on Terrorism is not a New World Order fascism. Sagittarius is the Law. Yes very tight restrictions will be created.

The Muslim religion is extremely Patriarchal. All organized religions have Patriarchy as their main founding tenant. The Old Testament,/Islam is simply a story of man projecting { Pisces} himself out from his ego- which makes it unspiritual to begin with to validate his idea of a God. Man created a God in his own image who is angry, vengeful and controlling. This was done to dominate the thousands of years of Goddess worshipping. To control women and the earth. Which is why the world is in its sorry state of imbalance on all levels, environmental degradation, climate change and terrorism.

Why do men become terrorists? Are they disenfranchised and poor? Are they manipulated by their leaders?  Masculine consciousness, by nature, on a cellular level is based on the actions of a sperm, on absolute competition and survival. An imbalanced Masculine goes to these types of extreme behaviors as it is based totally on EGO/ aggression at its lowest most animal brained level.

Mars in Pisces is the sign of spirituality and compassion where we realize we are all ONE in our interconnectedness, all children of the earth. True spirituality has no duality, no central I to create a thou or an enemy against.

SPIRITUAL WARRIORS

A truly strong Masculine energy is one that can be vulnerable. A Positive masculinity, is in balance with, equal to and respectful of, the Feminine. Positive masculine energy is able to dissolve back into the Womb, the cosmic ocean of Bliss of the Great Mother, where it originated.  It is not afraid of being rejected by the Feminine.

MARTYRDOM

Muslims believe in being martyrs, that their rewards of all the wine they can drink and all the harems of beautiful women await them in the afterlife. Ultimately that is simply a belief. Pisces is all about projections, illusions, delusions, fantasy and addictions..

Draw the active aggressive energies inwards to seek answers. Meditate every day for 20 minutes. You will feel clearer. Visualize a world of peace daily. Comet LOVEJOY, don’t you love it?

COMET ISON LovejoyCOMET LOVEJOY On November 7 2013

While anxiously waiting for COMET ISON to brighten further as it falls toward the Sun, northern skygazers can also find three other bright comets in the east before dawn.  Comet Lovejoy C/2013 R1 is now the morning sky’s brightest. Only discovered in September and not a sungrazing comet, COMET LOVEJOY is nearing the edge of naked-eye visibility and might be spotted from very dark sky sites. Sporting a greenish colored coma and tail in this telescopic view taken on November 7, COMET LOVEJOY  is  about 0.5 AU from our fair planet and 1.2 AU from the Sun. The comet is having a photogenic Messier moment, sweeping past well-known STAR CLUSTER M44, the Beehive in Cancer. Yellowish bright star Delta Cancri is near the bottom of the frame.

COMETS have always been met by fear in the past as harbinger’s or signs of trouble. Giant bright balls of light with tails thousands of miles long appear mysteriously in the night sky for days or weeks then disappear. Our ancesters might have thought they were heavenly messengers sent to watch us down below..

FROM NASA’s page on comets in ancient times below

Comets have inspired dread, fear, and awe in many different cultures and societies around the world and throughout time. They have been branded with such titles as “the Harbinger of Doom” and “the Menace of the Universe.”

They have been regarded both as omens of disaster and messengers of the gods. Why is it that comets are some of the most feared and venerated objects in the night sky? Why did so many cultures cringe at the sight of a comet?

When people living in ancient cultures looked up, comets were the most remarkable objects in the night sky. Comets were unlike any other object in the night sky. Whereas most celestial bodies travel across the skies at regular, predictable intervals, so regular that constellations could be mapped and predicted, comets’ movements have always seemed very erratic and unpredictable. This led people in many cultures to believe that the gods dictated their motions and were sending them as a message.

What were the gods trying to say? Some cultures read the message by the images that they saw upon looking at the comet. For example, to some cultures the tail of the comet gave it the appearance of the head of a woman, with long flowing hair behind her. This sorrowful symbol of mourning was understood to mean the gods that had sent the comet to earth were displeased.

Others thought that the elongated comet looked like a fiery sword blazing across the night sky, a traditional sign of war and death. Such a message from the gods could only mean that their wrath would soon be unleashed onto the people of the land. Such ideas struck fear into those who saw comets dart across the sky. The likeness of the comet, though, was not the only thing that inspired fear.

Ancient cultural legends also played a hand in inspiring a terrible dread of these celestial nomads. The Roman prophecies, the “Sibylline Oracles,” spoke of a “great conflagration from the sky, falling to earth,” while the most ancient known mythology, the Babylonian “Epic of Gilgamesh,” described fire, brimstone, and flood with the arrival of a comet.

German broadside of comets circa 1600s Rabbi Moses Ben Nachman, a Jew living in Spain, wrote of God taking two stars from Khima and throwing them at the earth in order to begin the great flood. Yakut legend in ancient Mongolia called comets “the daughter of the devil,” and warned of destruction, storm and frost, whenever she approaches the earth. Stories associating comets with such terrible imagery are at the base of so many cultures on Earth, and fuel a dread that followed comet sightings throughout history.

Comets’ influence on cultures is not limited simply to tales of myth and legend, though. Comets throughout history have been blamed for some of history’s darkest times. In Switzerland, Halley’s Comet was blamed for earthquakes, illnesses, red rain, and even the births of two-headed animals.

The Romans recorded that a fiery comet marked the assassination of Julius Caesar, and another was blamed for the extreme bloodshed during the battle between Pompey and Caesar. In England, Halley’s Comet was blamed for bringing the Black Death. The Incas, in South America, even record a comet having foreshadowed Francisco Pizarro’s arrival just days before he brutally conquered them.

Comets and disaster became so intertwined that Pope Calixtus III even excommunicated Halley’s Comet as an instrument of the devil, and a meteorite, from a comet, became enshrined as one of the most venerated objects in all of Islam. Were it not for a Chinese affinity for meticulous record keeping, a true understanding of comets may never have been reached.

Ancient comet illustrations on silk Unlike their Western counterparts, Chinese astronomers kept extensive records on the appearances, paths, and disappearances of hundreds of comets. Extensive comet atlases have been found dating back to the Han Dynasty, which describe comets as “long-tailed pheasant stars” or “broom stars” and associate the different cometary forms with different disasters.

Image Right: The Mawangdui silk, a ‘textbook’ of cometary forms and the various disasters associated with them, was compiled sometime around 300 B.C. Click on image for larger view. Image credit: NASA/JPL

Although the Chinese also regarded comets as “vile stars,” their extensive records allowed later astronomers to determine the true nature of comets.

Although most human beings no longer cringe at the sight of a comet, they still inspire fear everywhere around the globe, from Hollywood to doomsday cults. The United States even set up the Near Earth Asteroid Tracking (NEAT) program specifically to guard us from these “divine” dangers.” However, although they were once regarded as omens of disaster, and messengers of the god(s), today a scientific approach has helped allay such concerns.

It is science and reason that has led the fight against this fear since the days of the ancients. It is science and reason that has emboldened the human spirit enough to venture out and journey to a comet. It is science and reason that will unlock the secrets that they hold.
