The Moon travels from Virgo through to Capricorn during the week.
MAJOR Aspects this week:
SUN MARS square on February 1st
Head butting, Mars in Taurus rules the Bull Market. Sun in Aquarius is the Wallstreet Reddit guys/ cryptocurrencies/ revolution freedom. So you can see there will be many head to heads. The Redditers won’t back down.

VENUS ENTERS AQUARIUS on the 1stuntil February 25
FEBRUARY 1/ or 2 is IMBOLC a pagan Festival of FIRE sacred to St.Brigid. ill post separatelt about that.

ALso GROUNDHOG DAY watch the great classic movie
VENUS CONUNCTS SATURN on the 5/6 at 5+ AQUARIUS
This is VENUS+ LOVE and money which Venus rules and Saturn = LIMITS, taxes, the old boys of the Headgefunds and Saturn still ruling Aquarius restrictions.
There will be protests against vaccines, enforced government controls and battles heating upeverywhere in the world. Protests around any kind of restrictions. The revolutionary fervor is ramping up.
Things get serious and/or restricted or limited choked up. It also makes the AQUARIAN energy gets real and solid. It has many aspects and applications.
This could be cryptocurrencies getting legit or stopped and legislated. For sure the SEC will apply control. or try to.
It’s Good for a high-tech business meeting or opening up an old organization, network or serious revolts. SERIOUS REVOLTS feels more like it.
I’m just sensing JUPITER in PISCES which starts May 13/14 until July 28 that there will be big underground networks springing up.Then Jupiter will enter PISCES December 28/29 for most of 2022. Feb. 2 is a very powerful cross-quarter day in the 8 spoked wheel of the year. Goddess Brigid’s Day is celebrated as IMBOLC or CANDLEMASS, an ancient pagan, Wiccan Festival of the quickening of the light. Catholics, who had to add the ancient holidays onto their new Catholic ones, celebrate this as the Feast of the Purification of Mary.
Popularly known as GROUNDHOG DAY, the movie starring Bill Murray is a classic film based on some very spiritual ideas about Karma.
This day marks the Goddesses’ coming out for the first time after giving birth to the SUN at Winter solstice. Visualize this time as the baby sun nursing from the Goddess’s breast. Traditionally all women had a 6 week “lying in” period after giving birth where they stayed in their homes with their newborns to ensure the mother-child bond and to make the infant stronger. Mother and child were tended in all ways with food, and any other needs by family friends the community, or doulas.
This day is a Sabbat of purification after the shut-in life of Winter. A festival of light and fertility, it was once marked in Europe with huge blazes and fires everywhere. Fire symbolizes our own illumination and inspiration as well as light and heat. Also called the Feast of Torches, Oimelc, Lupercalia, Feast of Pan, Snowdrop Festival, and the Feast of the Waxing Light.
The old Scandinavian custom was to wear crowns of lit candles but most practitioners carry candles during their invocations and ceremonies.
This date celebrates the changing of the Goddess from the CHRONE back to the MAIDEN. It celebrates the very earliest signs of Spring and the noticeable lengthening of the days in the Northern hemisphere.
It is also a day of celebrating the Celtic Goddess Brigid. Brigid is the Goddess of Poetry, Healing, Smithcraft, and Midwifery.
She is a triple Goddess, honor her in all her aspects. Her symbols are serpents, representing the sacred fire of sexuality. All ancient Goddesses knew the sacred secrets of Tantric sexuality, healing, and transformation. Brigid governed wells. There is still a holy well in Ireland where she is workshopped. This is both a fire and water celebration, the balance of masculine and feminine energies.
This is a time for communing with Brigid, for tending to and the lighting of your own sacred flame, the KUNDALINI fire of sexual tantric transformation.
This is a good time for initiations, into covens or self-initiations. Initiations of all kinds are the order of the day.
The TAROT card that would accompany this Festival would be the ACE OF WANDS
The planets are well placed to support the fire and the water.
The MOON is in ARIES for most of the day in PST and EST. Mars is strong in ARIES. The Moon trines Saturn in Fiery SAGITTARIUS in the morning. VENUS is at the last critical degree of watery PISCES. JUNO, the feminine form of genius is at the last degree of SAGITTARIUS. CERES is at the last degree of ARIES.
As a Purification Day
Use water and salt to purify yourself. Wash your hands and face in salt water. Sprinkle salt water which you have blessed charging it. Sprinkle it in every corner of your home. Water is the most important element. Water transmutes all hardness, breaks down anything over time. Water also symbolizes the emotions. We need to purify our emotional bodies as well.
The waters of the earth these days needs our help and intentions. The oceans are polluted from Fukushima, from oil spills, fracking and toxins being poured into the rivers and lakes. Send your intention to see theearth’s waters running clear pure, cleansed. Bathing in Himalayan salt water while burning red candles would be appropriate.
Brigid, GODDESS OF CREATIVITY
Do something creative, read poetry, suspend your critical mind and allow your left brain consciousness to take over and allow a pure stream of consciousness to write a poem, sing, or dance. Dedicate a future work to Her.
IMBOLC RITUAL
At sunset or just after a ritual, light every lamp in the house – if only for a few moments. Or, light candles in each room in honor of the Sun’s rebirth. If snow lies on the ground outside, walk in it for a moment, recalling the warmth of summer. With your projective hand, trace an image of the Sun on the snow.
FOODS TO EAT
Imbolc marks the first calving and dairy dishes are traditionally consumed. You could eat yogurt or sour cream. If you are on non-dairy, honor the cows with a statue of a cow, or transmute your non-dairy soya, oat milk, almond milk or coconut milk to honor the cows and sheep. Hot fiery foods definitely match up with the fiery celebratory nature of this feast. All curries and all dishes made with red peppers, chilies, onions, leeks, shallots, garlic or chives are appropriate. It is traditional to consume Spiced red wines and dishes containing raisins, symbols of the sun’s energies.

Traditional grains were eaten to celebrate the growth of future grains. Serve crepes pancakes, cakes, and breads. Again if you are on a PALEO, no carbs and no grains diet, use spelt, Kamut, almond, rice, corn, amaranth or whatever and transmute it to honor the ancient grains. Put out a loaf of bread on your windowsill like they did in Ireland traditionally on Brigid’s day. An ear of corn was also set out. Wheat stalks are woven into X-shaped crosses to serve as charms to protect the home from fires and lightning. Clean out your fireplace.
IMBOLC RITUAL SUPPLIES Incense: Rosemary, Frankincense, Myrrh, Cinnamon Decorations: Corn Dolly or Spring Flowers Colors: White, Orange, Red
Ritual for Imbolc/Candlemas
A white flower or snow in a crystal or a paper cut out snowflake to symbolize winter. You could safely set this on fire and let it burn as a symbol of the spring coming.
You will need an orange candle anointed with cinnamon, frankincense or rosemary oil (unlit), red candle to represent the elements and your ritual supplies.
HOW TO
Arrange the altar, light the candles and censer, and cast the Circle. Call in the elements.
Invoke the Goddess and God.
Say such words as the following: “This is the time of the feast of FIRE/torches/wands, When every lamp blazes and shines To welcome the rebirth of the Sun God. Celebrate the Goddess, Celebrate the God; All the Earth celebrates, beneath its mantle of sleep.
Light the orange candle from the red candle on the altar. Slowly walk the circle clockwise/sunwise, holding the candle before you. Say these or similar words:
“All the land is wrapped in winter. The air is chilled and frost envelopes the Earth. But Lord of the Sun, Horned One of animals and wild places, Unseen you have been reborn Of the gracious Mother Goddess, Lady of all fertility. Hail Great God! Hail and welcome!”
Stop before the altar, holding up the candle. Gaze at its flame. Scry with the fire. Visualize your life blossoming with creativity, with renewed energy and strength.
If you need to look into the future or the past, now is an ideal time
SET NEW INTENTIONS
Make new commitments on this day.

February 1/2 is the Pagan celebration of Imbolc St. Brigid’s Day Candlemas Groundhog Day. It’s a Cross-quarter day of the Wheel of the Year signifying that we are half way to Spring in the Northern Hemisphere- Spring is coming.
The Fiery Goddess Awakens
On a secular level Bill Murray’s famous comedy is a spiritual teaching metaphor which gained wide appeal and is considered a classic fable/comedy 20 years after its initial release. Bill Murray plays a cynical newscaster who keeps waking up on Groundhog Day living a deja vu, being stuck in time and immortal. Eventually he figures out that being kind and nice and improving himself is the best thing to do. He learns to care and love and wins the love of his colleague and is free to move on from being stuck in his karmic lessons and live his life.
Feb. 1st –2nd Traditional Irish and Pagan Holiday Celebrations
Saint Brigid’s Day,or Bride’s Day, is both a Catholic and Pagan Celebration of an ancient Goddess tradition. Christians overlaid the Ancient Goddess holiday renaming it Candlemas or the fest of the Purification of the Virgin
In the Tarot Brigid would be the Queen of Wands or The Woman on the Strength card.
Triple Goddess/Saint Brigid/Bride
According to scholar Robert Graves, Brigid is the most Ancient Triple Goddess worshipped since time out of mind. The Goddess rules scholars and poets. She is said to rule over people who work with cows and chickens, brewers, fugitives, midwives, infants, printers, sailors, travelers, New Zealand, & Irish nuns.
This day symbolizes a time of transitions, initiations, new beginnings, of planting seeds that will sprout later. Brigid/Birgita represents the light half of the year, and new growth.
If you are uncertain of your path imagine yourself at a four-cornered crossroads, or go to an actual one and invoke Brigid to show you which path to take.
Goddess of Augury, prophets and seers. Celtic seers divined by looking into deep water and into flames. This is a great time to do divination with either.Elements- Water and fire
Brigid rules the Waters and wells. Many healing springs are dedicated to Brigid. Natural bodies of water also signify Her presence, particularly where three streams joined together. Good time to take a special healing water bath or shower in Brigid’s honor.
She is the Goddess of fire and inspirations, poetry, creativity, smithcraft and healing. It is customary to make candles for the coming year and bless them on this day.
Protecting Goddess
In her aspect as Brigantia, she carries a flaming spear, an orb of victory, and wears a war crown. She symbolizes protection of the country from invaders and slavery. The name “Britain” is derived from Brigit’s name. Britain’s symbol, the Goddess Brigantia, is still found on their 50 cent coin is Brigid.
Midwives
As Patroness of Midwives, she was invoked at the door of the home where the woman was giving birth, by the midwife. Brigid guards every newborn, their cradles protected with a woven Brigit’s Cross, an equal armed cross.
Brigid Ruler of the Hearth
Especially in Gaelic Scotland, Brigid’s dolls are placed near the hearth on her Feast Day. The doll is usually dressed in white, decorated. A white wand is placed in her bed as a fertility charm. As she is patroness of agriculture, pastures, livestock, and abundance. An offering is made to her of dairy products. The Brigid doll is kept throughout the year near the hearth hung on a wall, or by a door, as a talisman of protection, then burnt the next year.
RITUAL for Brigid
INCENSE: Rosemary, Frankincense, Myrrh, Cinnamon
Gemstones: Turquoise, Amethyst, Garnet and Onyx
Your house especially the hearth needs to be cleaned and purified to make way for Brigid to bless your house all year-long. Light a candle and carry it into every room to welcome her.
Call her
Bride of the earth, keeper of the Eternal Flame
daughter of the Tuatha de Danaan, sister of faeries,
She comes to waken the earth from its slumber,
to strengthen the Sun’s rays,
She bring warmth and light back once more
and sets seeds slowly stirring below our Mother earth
Her Light is ever eternal, waxing and waning,
Brigid light my heart and my passion afire anew .
Light a Candle and Invoke the Goddess at this time-I kindle this candle in the name of Brighid, Goddess of Smiths,
BRIGID is alive and well.
Light 1 candle-
We gather together in this time of darkness. We look to the return of the light.
We look to the first light of Spring.
(Light two more candles.)
Maiden, Mother, and Crone – A Triple Goddess.
It was customary to write wishes upon scraps of cloth
and tie them to the bushes near her sacred wells.
This is Her Time of Year, a very special moment.
A day upon which to seek wisdom from inside the Earth.
In the time before Patrick, serpents were sent out because they dwell in both worlds, above ground and below.

Jan 21 Gemini Moon opposes Venus in Sagittarius @ 3:01 am EDT This aspect spurs lots of curious conversations and opposing serious viewpoints in politics, love, values, adventures, philosophy, maturity and what kind of jokes you find funny. Serious wagers may be debated too. Galloping off on a new adventure, begin to make plans now. Moon goes Void Of Course at that time then enters her home sign of Cancer @ 5:28 am PDT/8:28 am EDT
An akward inconjunct with the SUn early in the day may mean fritzing technology and feeling being easily hurt.
Moon makes a GRAND WATER TRINE a Merkabah a sixpointed star formation
Cancer Moon to Neptune in Pisces and Mars in Scorpio
An emotional soup du jour. Enjoy this today as things will be much more intense on Friday and we are already feeling the Full Moon in Leo which has a fated tinge to it. Will write about that later. Just wrote my Full Moon meditation for CIA.
DAILY INSPIRATION CARD
Haindl Tarot
Looks like that LEO full Moon energy is already present. This Queen of Wands card blows me away. This deck was so ahead of its time. KALI is the Goddess of ego death and we need her energy now more than any other goddess.
She is traditionally shown wearing a necklace of bloody shrunken skulls dancing on her consort, eating his intestines, She is black as night, as the void. She is like the Black Madonna. She is extremely ruthless in cutting out the ego. She dances in cemeteries and teaches about transcending death. All Goddess had a birth giving and death bringing aspect. That is obviously in balance.
We have been seeing many celebrity deaths over the last week. We can ask Kali to teach us about death and transformation. KALI is really awe-inspiring and you must approach her with great respect because she is so powerful and fierce.
Call upon Kali and the Queen of Wands to bring you courage in your heart, to be passionate about what your heart knows is right. To burn away your ego illusions in order to be free. This is what I just wrote the Full Moon in Leo is about.
Blessings

CELEBRATE St. Brigid’s Day ,THE QUICKENING of the Light. February 1st
Candlemas Imbolc Groundhog Day
Feb. 1st –2nd Traditional Irish Celtic Pagan Holiday Celebrations
Feb. 1st is the beginning of the FIRST FIRE of the SUN’s return, the spark, the First sign of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere. This Ancient pagan, Celtic ,Wiccan, celebration is also called The QUICKENING. This is the time of greatest potential.
Known as Saint Brigid’s Day, Birghita or Bride’s Day, it’s a Catholic and Pagan Celebration of an ancient Goddess tradition. Imbolc is still celebrated by Wiccans/Pagan based Earth honouring religions. Christians overlaid the Ancient Goddess worshipers’ holiday renaming it Candlemas or the fest of the Purification of the Virgin on Feb 2.
This celebration is the midpoint between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. It is a “cross-quarter” day in the 8 rounds of the Wheel of Time in the Solar based year. The Celtic Year was based on both lunar and solar cycles. The holiday would be celebrated on the Full Moon nearest those 2 midpoints, when early spring flowers would begin to show and snakes would come out of the ground. Snakes are always sacred Goddess symbols. In non secular terms it become GROUNDHOG DAY on Feb 2.
At the Megalithic and Neolithic sites, in Tara, Ireland, the inner chambers of the passage tombs are perfectly aligned with the rising sun on both Imbolc and Samhain attesting to the value placed on these days.
Triple Goddess/Saint Brigid/Bride
Brigid by Sharon Macleod
According to Robert Graves, the most Ancient Triple Goddess was worshipped since time out of mind. The Goddess rules over scholars and poets. She is the Goddess of fire and inspirations, creativity, smithcraft and healing. She rules healing with water, and divination. She also rules over people who work with cows and chickens, brewers, fugitives, midwives, infants, printers, sailors, travelers, New Zealand, & Irish nuns.
This day symbolizes a time of transitions, initiations, new beginnings, of planting seeds that will sprout later. Brigid/Birgita represents the light half of the year, Her power brings the people out of the dark season of winter into spring.
The Goddess Brigid and Saint Brigid are the same, peace makers and bridges. The matronly Goddess Brigid bridged the two warring races of gods of the ancient Tuatha de Danann with her sacred marriage, and Saint Brigid was the bridge between the Druids and the Christians. Brigid was the daughter of a Druid Chieftain and the first woman bishop of Ireland. The nuns of Kildare carry on the sacred work.
Originally the return of the Light was celebrated with Sacred Sexual customs.
She is the Goddess of Augury and Prophets in the Druidic tradition. Celtic seers divined by looking into deep water and into flames. This is a great time to do divination. You may see orbs especially on this day.
Triple Goddess
She has two sisters with the same name. One aspect of her carries a blacksmith tongs and a sword, because she is also patroness of war; another aspect holds 2 healing snakes, from which the modern Doctor’s symbol is derived, the caduceus, the third aspect carries a wand with a crescent moon and a tablet.
Elements
Brigid rules the Waters. Many healing springs are dedicated to Brigid. Natural bodies of water also signify Her presence, particularly where three streams joined together. She also rules Fire, so it is customary to make candles for the coming year and bless them on this day.
Protecting Goddess
In her aspect as Brigantia, she carries a spear, an orb of victory, and wears a war crown. She symbolizes protection of the country from invaders and slavery.
Midwives
As Patroness of MIDWIVES, she was invoked at the door of the home where the woman was giving birth, by the midwife. Who speke:
“Bride, Bride, come in! Thy welcome is truly made, Give thou relief to the woman, And give thou the conception to the Trinity.”
Brigid is the guardian of every newborn, their cradles protected with a woven Brigit’s Cross, an equal armed cross. Upon a safe delivery, the infant was blessed by the midwife, with 3 drops of water on the child’s forehead, dedicating the Child to the Triple Goddess. The “Holy Trinity” in its modernized Christian aspect. A candle was carried ‘round the bed sun wise three times. As Brigid is a Solar Goddess. We think of the Sun as masculine but originally all aspects of the Universe were considered Feminine.
Light a Candle and Invoke the Goddess at this time-
I kindle this candle in the name of Brighid, Goddess of Smiths,
I sain this house in the name of Brighid, Goddess of Healers,
I smoor this candle in the name of Brighid, Goddess of Poets.
One folk tradition still continues in both Christian and Pagan homes on St. Brigid’s Day is that of St. Brigid’s Bed. Girls and young unmarried women create corn dollies to represent Brigid, these are adorned with ribbons, baubles shells or stones. A bed is made for the doll to lie in. On St. Brigid’s Eve Jan 31, the girls gather together in one house and stay up all night with the doll, are later visited by all the young men, who ask permission to enter the home, and then treat the young maidens and the dolly with respect. The next day the girls carry the doll through the neighbourhood from house to house, where she is welcomed with great honour. Adult women stay home to welcome the Brigid procession and offer snacks and coins to the young girls and maidens.
RITUAL to BRIGID
Brigid is said to walk the earth on Imbolc eve. Feb 1st. Before going to bed, each member of the household may leave a piece of clothing or strip of fabric outside for Brigid to bless. The cloth are brought inside the next morning, believed to now have the powers of healing and protection.
Britain
was named for an ancient Celtic tribe, the Brigantes, who were the largest Celtic tribe in the country in pre-Roman times who worshipped Her as their Deity. The word “brigand” comes from this tribe of fierce warriors. Her worship spread, leaving behind places named in Her honour-Brittany in France, Brechin in Scotland, the name Brent, in England, any name containing Bride. Britain’s symbol, the Goddess Brigantia, still found on their 50 cent coin is Brigid as Goddess of the Land. Of course Britany Spears is carrying the modern archetype of Brigid, and strangely enough one of Brigid’s symbols is a flaming spear!
An amazing tsunami of spiritual LOVE energy will be washing the world this weekend in a tidal wave of Love, healing and waking dreams.
Venus and Neptune, the planets of human love and Divine Love meet February 1st @ 6+ degrees Pisces with Venus exalted and Neptune in his own rulership in the last and most Divine sign. The two planets are also only 3 degrees away from ARCHANGEL GABRIEL, fixed star Fomalhaut, one of the Royal Stars of Persia indicating a Supreme Blessing available to all who partake in these energies.
Since Jan 19 when Mars conjunct Neptune and Venus was opposite Jupiter, we are experiencing a spiritually uplifting sequence of planetary alignments guaranteed to bewitch, bother and bewilder the world?
Pisces’ fathomless depths includes all aspects of life: the karma, the compassion, the forgiveness, the addictions, the self-undoing and the inner knowing. Pisces is solitary confinement and being totally connected to the All. It is endlessness and martyrdom. Pisces is everything and nothing. Pisces energy is the result of all of our experiences and travels through life. We return to the source where we were once nothing and everything.
This is Ascension energy. It can take us beyond duality and human limitations. But we must stay grounded as Pisces is also the cosmic smoke and mirrors show
You may be feeling overwhelmed as the psychic walls disappear. You need to stay very grounded. Eat nourishing carbohydrate rich foods. Comfort foods, meditate, stay centered.
MEDITATION
It’s very important to meditate on the highest aspects of these planets. Ask to download your higher mission. Do breathing meditations which connect your breath down your spine through the bottoms of your feet into the earth first. Then send the mother earth energy back up through the soles of your feet and up your spine and out to the Divine energies.
Practice EARTHING or walking barefoot if you can outdoors or in your house. Breathe through the soles of your feet which Pisces rules. Connect the sole to your soul when your feet are touching the ground.
Venus squares Saturn on Jan 30.
Which is a reality test of love’s truth. Your self-worth is on the agenda today. Look at what your work, struggles and your sacrifices have created. Is this the dream, career, relationship or direction you want to keep building or not? Saturn urges us to focus on our long-term goals. These energies may mean a vision quest or shamanic journey is necessary to broader your outlook and open to new possibilities.
Mars is also in Pisces. Venus’s earthly partner sextiles Pluto Jan 30
There is deep structural masculine soul work being excavated. The Masculine can surrender to being baptized in the Goddess’s unconditional, spiritual, sexual and spiritual fluids to be cleansed. see next aspect.
Jan 31 Mars conjuncts Chiron in Pisces
This is soul sacrifice. Are you ready guys?
The hanged Man in the Tarot.
Paris Eadwine Psalter Jesus/ Hanged Man
This indicates a divine reversal of Patriarchal masculine energy. If the Patriarchy surrenders its’ ego we will all be uplifted, absolved, reborn. Release old limitations in your psyche which have held you back from expressing and living from your Higher Self.
Moon enters Cancer late Friday evening PST.
We will be awash in a Grand Water trine of Moon to Neptune and Venus in the day
Yes early degrees of Scorpio;s can wash away their sins in this pure blessing.
February 1st is Pagan festival day for BRIGID, GODDESS OF FIRE
It is fire and water blessing. Time for women to remember themselves as sacred Priestesses.
Moon in Cancer also brings another cardinal cross square dance at night.
The Moon trines Chiron and Mars in Pisces.
The Moon is every woman,The great Mother herself. She symbolically cleanses and purifies us in her holy womb waters of all misappropriated energy. Men want to be loved unconditionally as all women do. These powerful transformative symbols are so strong now.
It is like a sacrament. We need to eat, swallow, partake in the Mystery itself by opening our hearts, and our spirits. We have never been separated from the Divine, from God/Goddess, source. We are actually never born and never die.
DETOX-Pisces rules addictions
As Psychologist Carl Jung pointed out, Alcoholism is the thirst for the literal God, Spirit. All addictions stem from feeling separated from Source. Trust spirit loves you unconditionally.
This is a super creative, inspirational energy
For all artists, musicians or cooks, however you wish to apply your creativity.
If you have planets at 4-8 degrees MUTABLE signs – Pisces, Gemini, Virgo and Sagittarius you will be in synch with the energy the most.
I have my North Node at 5 degrees Pisces .I know the spiritual potential is incredibly healing. Visualize your highest vision of world peace, human acceptance of all others, imagine going beyond all religious separations and ego limitations. Be Heavenly.
Surrender your ego, nothing is real but love and creativity.
A very power week to feel totally transcendant, beautiful, comically orgasmic and embody the Divine Lover. We will all be doing the “Dance me to the end of love” dance as Venus in Pisces conjuncts Neptune.
Like walking on clouds week, be very careful, you will need to work hard to be grounded.
VENUS enters PISCES Jan 27 where she is truly EXALTED in every way till February 20.
Venus, born from the Sea, like Boticelli’s famous painting….symbolizes human love.
Venus in PISCES is literally the human heart and the infinite soul combined.
Venus conjunct Neptune inPisces
VENUS conjunct Neptune amplifies the cosmic message of SOUL MATE LOVE.
Venus squares Karmic planet Saturn in Sagittarius January 30 in the wee hours which makes those dream lovers REAL. We need that energy. Thanks Saturn.
VENUS & NEPTUNE conjunct in PISCES February 1st @ 6 degrees.
That is the HIGHEST MOST ROMANTIC ASPECT TO HAVE. As Venus is exalted in Pisces and Neptune is in its home sign. This quadruply amps up the energy.
FEBRUARY 1st is also a very important Pagan Celebration day called IMBOLC.
A Celtic Fertility day, to honor Goddess Brigid’s Sacred fire which means her Sacred sexy Kundalini/ Orgasmic Passionate Heat.
Pisces is the 12th house of the Unconscious, secrets, karma, Source, spirit, illusions, gurus, ashrams, self-undoing, martyrs, addictions, dreams, shamans, glamour. How many are addicted to love? St. Brigid’s Day THE QUICKENING Candlemas Imbolc Groundhog Day
Feb. 1st –2nd Traditional Irish and Pagan Holiday Celebrations
Feb. 1st is the beginning of the FIRST FIRE of the SUN’s return, the spark, the First sign of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere. This Ancient pagan, Celtic ,Wiccan, celebration is also called The QUICKENING.
Known as Saint Brigid’s Day, Birghita or Bride’s Day, it’s both a Catholic and Pagan Celebration of an ancient Goddess tradition.
The Celtic Year was based on both lunar and solar cycles, it is most likely the holiday would be celebrated on the Full Moon nearest those 2 midpoints, when early spring flowers would begin to rise up through the snow, and snakes would come out of the ground. In non secular terms it become GROUDHOG DAY on Feb 2. Snakes are always sacred Goddess symbols.
SACRED
That Ancient peoples of Ireland kept this day as very sacred. At the Megalithic and Neolithic sites, such as the Loughcrew burial mounds and the Mound of the Hostages in Tara, Ireland, the inner chambers of the passage tombs are perfectly aligned with the rising sun of both Imbolc and Samhain attesting to the value placed on this day.
Triple Goddess/Saint Brigid/Bride
She is according to Robert Graves, the most Ancient Triple Goddess worshipped since time out of mind. The Goddess rules over scholars and poets. She is the Goddess of fire and inspirations in Ireland, the Goddess of poetry, creativity, smithcraft and healing. She also rules healing with water, and divination. She is said to rule over people who work with cows and chickens, brewers, fugitives, midwives, infants, printers, sailors, travelers, New Zealand, & Irish nuns. This day symbolizes a time of transitions, initiations, new beginnings, of planting seeds that will sprout later. Brigid/Birgita represents the light half of the year, Her power brings the people out of the dark season of winter into spring, so, it is a very important time of the year.
The Goddess Brigid and Saint Brigid are the same being in two forms, peace makers and bridges.
Originally the return of the Light was celebrated as Sacred Sexual customs, sacred Tantric Kundalini rising.
She is the Goddess of Augury PROPHETS
In the Druidic tradition, poetry and augury were associated. She is patron of prophets and seers.
Celtic seers divined by looking into deep water and into flames. This is a great time to do divination.
Upon a safe delivery, the infant was blessed or “sained” by the midwife, with 3 drops of water on the child’s forehead, dedicating the Child to the Triple Goddess. The “Holy Trinity” in its modernized Christian aspect, was just an overlay of the Goddess Triple Aspect since time out of memory. A candle was carried ‘round the bed sun wise three times. As Brigid is a Solar Goddess. We think of the Sun as masculine but originally all aspects of the Universe were considered Feminine.
On St. Brigid’s Eve Jan 31, the girls gather together in one house and stay up all night with the doll, are are later visited by all the young men, who ask permission to enter the home, and then treat the young maidens and the dolly with respect. The next day the girls carry the doll through the neighbourhood from house to house, where she is welcomed with great honour. Adult women stay home to welcome the Brigid procession and offer snacks and coins to the young girls and maidens.
Brigid is said to walk the earth on Imbolc eve. Feb 1st. Before going to bed, each member of the household may leave a piece of clothing or strip of fabric outside for Brigid to bless. The cloth are brought inside the next morning, believed to now have the powers of healing and protection.
BRIGID is alive and well.
The name “Britain” is a derivation of Brigit’s name. Britain was named for an ancient Celtic tribe, the Brigantes, who were the largest Celtic tribe in the country in pre-Roman times who worshipped Her as their Deity. The word “brigand” comes from this tribe of fierce warriors. Her symbol is a flaming spear. Her worship spread, leaving behind places named in Her honour-Brittany in France, Brechin in Scotland, the name Brent, in England, any name containing Bride. Britain’s symbol, the Goddess Brigantia, still found on their 50 cent coin is Brigid in her aspect as Goddess of the Land. Of course Britany Spears is carrying the modern archetype of Brigid, and strangely enough one of Brigid’s symbols is a flaming spear!
