Sagittarius Ritual and Guided Meditation

Sagittarius, the 9^th sign is known for distant travels, truth, justice, freedom, higher education, philosophy, humor, religion, politics, teachers, optimism, risk-taking, trust, adventure, faith, and mysticism.

The root of the word Sagittarius is related to the word sage. A sage is a venerable, older, wise teacher who inspires and passes on valuable information. Sagittarius is the last and most mature of the fire signs. The Sagittarius mission is to inspire and to point its arrows of truth higher towards the Galactic Center. Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, King of the Gods. Jupiter also rules the sign of Pisces traditionally. 

Sagittarius is connected to the Greek Goddess Diana, the wild virgin huntress, Goddess of the Moon. The wolf or the dog is also associated with Sagittarius. Call upon her wild independent “women who run with the wolves” energy and spirit for wisdom if you need.

The Tarot Major Arcana for SAGITTARIUS is #14 Temperance /ALCHEMY or ART

This is the card of balance and Transformation. It is related to the Philosopher’s stone which symbolizes turning lead {Saturn, matter} into Gold {the Sun or spiritual Light}.

The TEMPERANCE ANGEL symbolizes our Higher Self. It combines the masculine fire {mind} and the feminine water {instincts} to transform both into something entirely new. In this way, we combine our shadow selves and become more than we were. This card is also known as the SACRED MARRIAGE card.

FULL Moon Meditation SYMBOLIC Correspondences

All Full Moons are the most fertile times and mark high tides and completion cycles. It is a time to look at what we have brought to completion and to let go as the energy of the moon will wain down to New moon in two weeks. Sagittarius Full Moons call us to be in nature. Lighting a bonfire or a small candle in your room aligns you with the fire element.

NEW MOON SAGITTARIUS MEDITATION 

Uses the same symbols and associations. But a New or Dark Moon energy is very Yin, feminine, internal, and represents a time of new beginning. 

Sagittarius carries a gypsy, mystical exotica energy, so get out your best boho attire and your tribal drums. Belly dancing and ululating, is recommended as well as any “exotic” world music and drumming.

Colors- Jupiter is Royal Purple and Red for fire for candles and fabrics

Chinese equivalent to Sagittarius is the Rat.

Smoky or blue Topaz, Lapis Lazuli, Turquoise, Tourmaline, amber, chrysocolla, Jasper, Malachite and Moonstones

CEREMONIAL INSTRUCTIONS

Gather and set up your sacred circle and alter with any associated images.

SMUDGE WITH SAGE or lavender

Begin by smudging yourself first. Light your candles. One for each direction. I always work EAST to SOUTH to WEST TO NORTH. Always move clockwise. Call in the four elements and the four directions into your sacred circle.
Call in the four Archangels, Michael, Gabriel, Ariel, Raphael in the same order.

Center yourself by breathing, sit in a lotus position if you can. You can do this ritual outdoors. It would be good to be barefoot and sitting on the earth. Light your candles and incense and close your eyes.

Set your intentions on expanding your ability to connect with your Holy Guardian Angel and the Higher Master Teachers which Jupiter governs.

Breathe in through your nose naturally, breathing and sending your intention to your root chakra. Connect your breath down by growing a tail with each breath that grows down from the base of your spine, down into the earth’s molten lava iron core.

When you feel the connection to the earth’s fire, breathe it up through the rocks and crystals back up into your root chakra and breathe it up in sequence from the lowest 1^st root chakra up to the 2^nd, 3^rd, 4^th, 5^th, 6^th and 7^th chakras. You can also send your energy breath and intention out and beyond your crown chakra to the 8^th and 9^th chakras. The 8^th is your Higher self, it is Gold about 1 foot above your head. The Peruvian shamans send energy to a 9^th chakra which symbolizes the Galactic Center and beyond, the Viracocha. Direct your energy out there, and call upon your Holy Guardian Angel and Michael and Uriel and the Master Teachers to come and connect with you.

Now direct your attention within. See your inner feminine and inner masculine sides. Sense their individual energies. Watch them yearn for each other and sense them pouring into the other. Watch the masculine become feminine and the feminine becomes masculine. Sense and feel this new essence, this TEMPERANCE energy of #14 Tarot Arcana, sense this unified golden wholeness within your being that has been transformed into a completely new you. Feel yourself radiate the Gold. Sound AUM or OHM.

Send this energy out into the world. 

For those of you who are single and still longing to find your soulmate, doing this exercise is mandatory to magnetically attract your “other half” to you.

Ask your Holy Guardian Angel or Higher self to converse with you. Allow, joy, ecstasy and laughter to erupt inside of you. It may feel like a total body orgasm. This is your natural state.

Take as much time as you need. When you feel complete. Give thanks. Know that your Guardian Angel will always and protect you.

Come out of your meditation and dance. Celebrate, howl, do something generous for a stranger, Keep the energy and optimism going. Start the new seasons wherever you are in the world feeling balanced whole and complete.

The SUN is at the 17th degree of Sagittarius and this square opens us up to receive the Light source channel for SOULAR healing with Chiron.  The MOON is Void of Course so it’s also perfect for doing healing work, and creating an altar as a portal for spiritual focus.

Degree Angel: Hahahel (HA-ha-HEL) Self-Esteem, Mission

This degree lives in a state of being constantly reminded of source, of the spiritual light from which all has been generated.

It realizes that no matter how diverse or in conflict the world of phenomenality may seem, that all is ultimately One, and that union with the light is a fact which we only need acknowledge to dispel darkness.

The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “A monkey dressed in a brocade coat.” The monkey is dressed in a refined and sophisticated garment but beneath that garment he is wild, playful, and free. This degree often clothes itself in outer trappings that are unlike its true nature. This is a means of hiding, when needed, as well as taking on roles just to imagine what it would be like to be something else very different from the Self.

It is good to be a light in the world,  just as the man of the Omega Symbol has become like a candle. His flame is not steady – it dances, and as it dances at his crown chakra what is signified is the highest most spiritual type of play. Life is always and eternally joyful, and only becomes serious when we lose contact with this truth.

Visualize this image and let the baby phoenix hop into your lap. Hold it gently and keep it warm and safe. It will imprint on you. Make it a nest in your heart.

“Seed degree: Libra 21. The sea as still as a mirror. (Omega Symbol). When inner stillness is achieved, our whole being lights up (the flame at the top of the man’s head).” My Natal Neptune/Venus conjunction is at this degree. 

Visualize yourself sitting next to a sea {Pisces} as still as glass. Listen to the sea but see it as stilled. Allow the kundalini energy to spark up your spine. If you get a chill, that is a form of spiritual clearing.

Be a candle in this world.

HOW TO CREATE AN ALTAR

An altar is a place of magic, an alter is an alternate place.

 An altar can be as simple as a separate space set up on your table or in a corner of your room. It is best to create a permanent alter or mesa, which becomes a sacred space to only do prayer, meditation and focussed spiritual and energy work. You can make a low shelf into an altar. Cover it with beautiful fabric. Place photographs or art works of spiritual teachers, or sacred geometry of the Flower of Life, candles and crystals which will hold the desired energies. You can change you altar to suit your needs.

You must always use smudge, incense or Holy Water to cleans your altar and yourself  before  beginning any kind of spiritual work. Light a candle and state you are awake and open to receive the Light. I always call in the 4 Archangels,the four elements and directions for grounding and protection. I also call in the as above, the so below, mother earth, Pachamama, and then lastly, the within, The heart. This is the most ancient way of meditating and doing spiritual alignments.  Call in the SOLAR LOGOS to heal your self and the world. Call upon your higher master teachers to teach you wisdom, peace clarity. The Solar Logos or Light Word is Rudolph Steiner’s word, it feels appropriate to me. Meditate on the images of the symbols. Be patient. Breathing is the most important way. Focus on opening your chakras one by one.  Still the mind and receive. 

Always thank and then release all the energies, entities, elementals, direction and angels who have come to your sacred space.
