Dragons, Scorpions and Goats

The DRACONIDS Meteor showers peaked last night. This is an annual event. The constellation of Draco is one of the most ancient and was one of the first 88 constellations that were categorized in the  West. The main star Thuban was the northern Pole Star around 3,000 BC, during the time of the ancient Egyptians. The King’s chamber in the Great Pyramid is aligned with Thuban along with the Great and small bear and Orion and Sirius. 

Due to the Precession of the Equinoxes it will be the pole star again around the year 21,000 AD. The ancient myths about dragons worldwide are allusions to this once prominent Constellation.  It is a very large constellation, snaking around the most northerly point in the sky and never sets. It covers over 250 degrees of the Zodiac from the Signs of Aries to Sagittarius and containing 18 named fixed stars.

DRAGONS are hugely popular because of Game of Thrones.

The origins of the constellation, Draco was probably the female Chaldean dragon Tiamat, the sea serpent of primordial chaos. Other later myths point to Draco representing the dragon that guarded the golden apples in the garden of the Hesperides or the serpent Python slain by Apollo after the deluge.

Tiamat was a monster of primeval darkness, just such a monster as exists in almost every mythology and must be overcome by the powers of sunlight before the creation of the world can take place.

Dragons in European Tales have usually bean fearful beasts, wreaking terror into the hearts of the simple people, blasting their firey breaths in destruction to protect their cavernous treasure troves of jewels and wealth. Heroes fought the dragons as in Saint George as the Dragon. 

In many parts of the world Dragons are revered and honored. Dragons and snakes are virtually interchangeable. 

In INDIA- NAGA’s 5 headed serpents are considered to be the goddess as serpent mother.

Dragons feature in the mythology as the winged feathered serpent of the Mayans, known as Quetzalcoatyl, their Christ-like figure of peace. Dragons were and still are considered to be positive creatures in China, Imperial dragons of the emperorss.  

A Rainbow serpent called Aido Wedo comes from African Dahomey mythology. Aborigines from Australia also revere serpents.

In PERU indigenous peoples worship the Anaconda. This powerful snake spirit appears to those who take ayahuasca and swallows the drinker of the bitter “Vine of death”  to destroy their egos. That is the whole point of a healing journey. 

Dragons are connected to our DNA, as the oroborous serpent eating its tail. Dragons symbolize infinity.

 

 Many channellers have focussed on the reptilian looking aliens who have programmed humans through genetic manipulation. Our primal brain is called the reptilian part of our brain this is our instinctual primed for survival only  oldest part of our brains. 

The Kabalists associated DRACO with the Hebrew letter “Mem: and the 13th Tarot Symbol of “Death. 

Snakes are very ancient symbols of rebirth as a snake sheds its skin and does not die, it regrows a new one. Our ancient ancestors who were able to understand and interpret the natural world directly saw the snake/dragon as a symbol of life as an eternal journey. The snake lives on sheds its skin as the body or personality and gains a new one. In the same way, women were considered just like snakes as they shed their menstrual linings every month in concert with the moon, bled, and did not die. As women are also the givers of Life, the symbol of the snake is synonymous with women. 

These annual meteor showers rain their falling stars down on us in the Northern Hemisphere to wish upon and amaze us, and for thousands of years we have observed these magical times. 

A very popular rap singer carries the name of Drako and that is Toronto’s own DRAKE.

DRACO MEDITATION

Do a meditation and ground yourself into Mother earth and then breath the earth energy up your spine and out into the northern most part of the sky to DRACO. Feel the energy of Draco as a living breathing writhing serpent. Feel its ancient power. Ask Draco if she will work with you, and grant you wishes as the meteorites fall. 

Call upon the DRAGON to bring its fire-breathing breath to slay or vanquish any enemies fears or negative energies around you.  Many people I have heard from lately were reporting feeling attacked.  This is the kind of energies you would use to banish any negativity.

Use the dragon power to re-energize your DNA but you must be very grounded to do so. luckily we are under a CAPRICORN earthy moon. Ask to be able to step into the body of the dragon serpent and become a fire breathing dragon yourself.  Those are vert good boundaries to have. Fire signs may enjoy this energy more than most.  If you lack fire then be brave and ask for the brave energetic strength of DRACO to help you.

Mercury in Libra calendar of events,Love and justice

Mercury, the communicator and trickster planet enters Libra, sign of Relationships  and Justice  October 7- 24th quite a quick spin.

Libra, the 7th sign is associated with marriage traditionally but includes all relationships with “others” as in  selfie and others, including all social and business relationship interactions. It is a masculine Air sign, ruled by Goddess of Love Venus. Venus square Saturn, Love isn’t perfect

Moon is in Virgo and so is Venus, the mood is sobering, self-critical, taking inventory, surveying the dramatic mess that Venus in Leo had left behind which now needs to be cleaned up. 

Moon opposes Chiron in the wee hours. There can be some healing clues in your dreams this night.

There may be restless sleeps and fire bomb revolutions in the streets of your dream scapes. Escaping from your self-critic as a fire-breathing dragon may be a dream  theme.

Venus squares Saturn in Sagittarius. 

This is a serious, mature, no glamour or illusions, smoking hot woman. She is powerful and answers to no man. She is Virgin and complete unto herself. Can you penetrate her smokescreen?

Love isn’t perfect. Loving isn’t perfect. Work hard at building your love to inspire each other and you will fly. You can love someone warts and all. This is mature love. Can you accept your own and other’s humanness? We are all imperfect in these human frail forms. Can you find beauty in the mundane and ordinary. That is a magnificent inspiring miracle as well.

This energy is for Honoring the mothers and the grandmothers and your ancestors. We are all our mothers. And yes my mother was a chain smoker. So this image reminds me of her.

There is a strong love of nature here as Virgo is the virgin forests and the trees and Sagittarius is animals, nature. I would try to spend some time out of the city, hug an urban tree, its proven to be healing for you and the trees, they are receivers of energy. Organize some neighbourhood cleans up in your community {6th house Virgo} or raising money to help animals and/or womens’ shelters. 

I can feel this energy creeping up. The shrill Feminine inner critic voice is piping up. with Sagittarius there will be the fiery courage to speak scathing truths. To speak the unspeakable, to voice her truth. The truth of her guts. Be ready to hear the unvarnished truth about what people really think of you. If you have not been working hard or towing the line, be prepared for Saturn consequences.

Venus in Virgo wants to take account of everything and make it nice and tidy. She wants to cut corners and have everything under budget. This is not time for frivolity or excess in romance.  Now we are practical and down to earth. For now. 

Watch your diet carefully. Virgo rules the digestive tract and with Jupiter  Mars Venus and The Moon here digestive ills from worrying about imperfections are highly likely. Many Virgo’s or people with Virgo planets will suffer digestive woes. Avoid rich and heavy spicy and fast foods. Eat slowly and listen to how your body responds to what you are feeding it.

Earth and Fire are not elements that work well together. Fire and earth is either forest fires, volcanoes, or scorched earth. Earth grounds fire. 

Yet we need Virgo’s patience and attention to detail to get our Sagittarius high ideals manifested. Saturn in Sagittarius will slow down Sag.’s penchant to run off at the mouth and to high tail it to exotic foreign locals to learn the latest and hang with the hippest. Venus has got the centaur by the tail.

Sagittarius as the last of the fire signs is more mature yet it still brazenly and blazingly arches across the sky like a comet. You can’t hold a good Sagittarius down. And yet…. and yet Sagittarius’s shadow is hypocrisy and judgementalness.  Venus in Virgo can bring that out in a heavy way. Sagittarians will have to be very careful that the new castles in the sky they are building don’t get easily toppled in the early stages by the demands of the earthy Virgin.

PISCES and GEMINI

are also caught in the mutable cross hairs too. If you have planets at 0-3 degrees of these signs you will also have to face the tax man in a horse costume and the verbal whiplash.

A good day to plan make a concrete plan, to fire away at some educational goals regarding your career. To create a tight budget for  travelling. To write out the chapters for a book.

If you are like me and feeling extremely tired from this Saturn at last degrees Scorpio, dredging up the old mud and heavy shadow stuff. Saturn’s station will alleviate the pain. I feel that this time now with Saturn turning direct allows all the gunge and gunk to rise up to the surface, so we can really move and shake through it. MEDITATION to heal the wounded masculine

You will need 2 red candles and 2 white ones. Smudge or incense.

Create a sacred space within and without by cleansing your aura mind and body with incense or smudge first.

Start with the element and spirit of FIRE Which is always masculine. I consider fire to be in the EAST where the SUN rises so I start there. Other traditions use South for Fire, do which ever suits your temperament more.  Call upon the SOURCE, the light, action, passion to be in your circle and in your heart.

Then move always SUN WISE. to your right. NEVER LEFT-

Call in the element, direction of the spirit of WATER in the SOUTH, call in the heart, flow, the emotions, feelings, the receptivity of water to be in your heart and in your circle.

Then call in the direction of the WEST  and the spirit of the earth for strength, health, to let go, intuition, the Goddess energy to be with you in your circle and in your reality.

Then call in the NORTH  powers of air, the breath and mind, learning and wisdom to open your mind, to connect you with the “as above”. Ask wisdom to enter your mind and your circle.

Get in touch with your inner YANG masculine energy, every person has both a masculine and feminine side. The Masculine is aggressive, heroic, he is ego, power, analytical, action, sexual desire, energy, passion, defenses, ordering, detached.  You may feel certain  parts of your body to be connected to your masculine drive for power.

We all have body armouring, Anywhere where your feelings or actions or sensations were stifled and you were held back is where that energy is stored in your body, mind, emotions or spirit. Wilhelm Reich created orgone energy blankets and machines to stimulate the essence of the life force. Tense up your muscles and see if you can feel where you are most tense. Most people hold a lot of stuff on their backs and neck. Just be aware of it and relax it. Let it go- there is no posturing , attitude, ambition needed, nothing to do. 

You can speak to your inner masculine and applaud him. Welcome him home, Open your heart to love and welcome your conquering hero warrior home where he can take off his armour and allow himself to relax and be open and vulnerable. There is Nothing to defend.

Allow yourself to see in your minds eye the Gladiator take off his armour. He can relax his muscles, can allow himself a big deep breath. He can be open, sensitive, he can cry, he can feel pain, he can be vulnerable. His vulnerability is his greatest strength.

Hold the wounded boy soldier in your heart, allowing him to open relieves him of his burdens, he can start to feel balanced and whole. There is a great love which can now flower.
