I remember giving a Tarot workshop years ago at the Grail Springs Spa and I had not given my usual preview of all the major Tarot Trumps as I usually do, to try this method out.  I asked each participant to choose a card. One woman got the Devil and freaked out. She was a pretty conservative Church believer and receiving the Devil made her think she was going straight to Hell.

On the contrary THE DEVIL is merely our own shadow. To say THE DEVIL MADE ME DO IT is a total cop-out, to blame our actions onto some thing other than ourselves.

 The Devil got his bad reputation because he was created that way by the Catholic Church which was intent on squashing pagan Goddess worshipping, nature lovers. They turned the ancient God PAN, of the horns and cloven hoofs associated with the sign of Capricorn into a very bad thing. Pan is horny all right. But that is a natural thing. The Catholic church has always tried to control sexuality.

The DEVIL symbolizes FEAR ITSELF.

The Devil you project onto whatever scary group you fear. To homophobes this is gays. To creationists it’s atheists. To Muslims its Jews, To Jews its Muslims. To Republicans, its demoncrats. OMG Freudian Slip.. Demoncrats TM. I know the Tea Party will love that.

Whatever we DEMONIZE has power over us. There is no hell except that which we self-create. That I am sure of.

The Devil, if approached with respect with our own vulnerabilities and weaknesses allows us to know ourselves, and where we have to build strengths. 

The pairing card to the Devil #15 is the Lovers #6 in the Tarot. Both reduce to 6. The symbol at the Center of the Tree of Life.  The number of the Merkaba or 6 pointed Star. 

Love your fears.  Take back your projections. What are you so afraid of? Call in your guardian Angels to help protect you.  Breathe. 

Is the Devil you know better than the one you don’t?

You cannot fight darkness directly. You cannot fight your enemy because your enemy is yourself. It is like cancer. And so it goes round and round and then ” the Devil” really does have us in his grip.

You can only send love to your enemy and love yourself. I am not advocating SYMPATHY for the DEVIL. 

The Devil becomes your angel, your DAEMON, a good spirit, once you accept it and go through it.

Have sexually or emotionally hurt another? This is the best time to make amends to  others. You need to be scrupulously honest and also to forgive yourself.  Make a list, meditate and send prayers and light to those you have hurt.

SEXUAL CLEANSING to release shame

Also women carry sexual imprints from men they have had sex with who didn’t love and honor them. It would be good to cleanse and release all stuck emotional bonds from those people who have put sexual hooks into you.  Most women are unaware of the traces left inside them. That energy really holds your LIGHT back.

Women if you want to clear up your old relationships issues, this is the prerequisite to do so.  I can’t restate this enough. I did it myself before I started my relationship with my 2nd husband. I knew instinctively that to change this relationship we had to both do this together. That’s a whole other workshop.

I believe the number has been misinterpreted by the Church which inverts most things to serve its’ purposes.

In Gematria which is Kabbalistic Jewish Numerology, 666 is the number which represents the creation and perfection of the world. The world was created in 6 days, and there are 6 cardinal directions (North, South, East, West, Up, Down).

# 6 in the Sephirot of TIFFERET, meaning BEAUTY is at the very center of the TREE OF LIFE.

so 6 tripled is three times the beauty. This is the opposite of the popular DEVIL image.

666 is the  magic sum, or magic constants of a 6 by 6 magic square, any row or  column adds up to 111 a very master number.

To me this card is the reminder to connect with and listen to your Guardian ANGELS at all times.

The Hierophant symbolizes what the Pope or High Priests job is, an intermediary to G*d.

Someone with a direct connection to the voice of  Heaven’s will. Which is your will when connected to your angel.

So there must be humility, no ego, a discernment, which is VENUS’S sword-

Be careful that the voice you hear is truly of the Light.

We hear voices in our heads all the time, we think it is our own voice, but how do you really know?

Negative entities can manipulate you, feed on your fear and ignorance, they eat your emotions,

 Pluto begins his annual 5 month journey back to his own home territory HELL or HADES as the Roman’s called it. Turning Retrograde at 9 degrees 34 minutes of Capricorn April 10 @ 9:21 am PDT/ 12:21 pm EDT  

The famous Dutch painter Hieronymus Bosch, 1450-1516  painted the most hellish paintings of that terrible Hell hole, filled with Xtreme sinners, to terrify good Christians  into behaving piously. John Milton, famously stated that he would “rather reign in Hell, than serve in Heaven.” is more of the modern ilk. 

Hell is what we create, Heaven or Hell or a bit of both.  If  Heaven is on earth here and now then Hell is here and now as well. Pluto/ Hades is Lord of the Underworld. He is the King of the Dead. His world is the world of shades, of the shadow.

We can’t always stay in the Light, although New Agers claim you don’t have to own your own shadow, or spend too much time in the depression, loneliness, desperation, powerlessness, rage, etc. that is part of the bright energies shadow side. Your own shadow side  may be hidden from yourself, if you aren’t honest. Your shadow is what you project onto others, the people you can’t stand, the “others,” those who you are jealous of, resent, and compare yourself to.Your shadow is also parts of yourself that you can’t own, that perhaps you are beautiful and worthy of being loved and of having a happy enjoyable life. Your shadow side is also all the reasons why your life isn’t going so great because of all the  hexes, curses,black magic your childhood or other things you rely on in ignorance and as excuses for taking responsibility for your life. 

Owning your own shadow is a freeing thing. It is your ticket out of  hell.  But Hell, who was a Nordic Goddess by the way,originally called HEL, is also good. We learn from everything, we have to experience everything. That’s why we are here!  So enjoy your journey as Pluto takes you to his home base to show you around. The death aspect is revered by Tibetan Buddhist’s, the charnel ground, the cemetery, that’s where KALI lives, death is destruction of the EGO and all that we” know” and hold dear. 

You can’t be fully alive unless you are aware of Death.
