Equinox, how to balance during intense times

The 2nd Equinox of the year is here as day and night are equal. The SUN enters the sign of LIBRA which marks Autumn’s beginning here in the Northern Hemisphere and Spring down under.  This is one of the most powerful of the 4 CARDINAL entry points in the year and it marks the conditions for the next three months. It’s important to study the Sun’s entery into LIBRA at 7:21 am PDT/ 10:21 am EDT/ 2:21 pm GMT. see chart below:

Physically, and spiritually this day marks the balance and necessary polarity of all things in this Universe,  day, night, yin, yang, and positive negative. 

Autumn Equinox is called MABON in the pagan tradition.  So Happy MABON, corn dollies are made and thanksgiving for harvest. 

The Astrology chart

There is a preponderance of AIR and FIRE elements and the GRAND MUTABLE CROSS in the chart like a big red X. This chart is set for EDT. This is a very intense chart, we will be X-rayed with this energy until Winter Solstice and of course it holds sway over election day in the U.S.

The SUN and JUPITER are cozied up in LIBRA. JUPITER is sitting on the SUPER GALACTIC CENTER transmitting powerful, higher consciousness vibes to those open to receiving it. JUPITER in LIBRA should bring more peacemaking and balance into our lives, but can make for indecision and superficial values as well. 

VENUS, the planetary Queen of LIBRA is in her own sign, sitting on her beautiful throne at 28 + degrees LIBRA. She rules the Equinox. Hail to the Queen. VENUS governs money, women, values, legal issues and She is opposite URANUS and ERIS in ARIES, those radical, freedom loving, Hippie revolutionaries women’s roles are changing fast.the Divine FEMININE is bringing about a rebalancing of these polarities.

All types of relationships that are imbalanced now are showing up with this radical fighting back energy for a changing of the guard. The ongoing violence in Charlotte, North Carolina could be seen as part of this.   

VESTA, VENUS in CANCER  PLUTO, URANUS + ERIS  are involved in a wide GRAND CARDINAL CROSS. 

This bodes NOT WELL for the economy, Vesta rules what else?….. Uranus and ERIS are chaos theory planets. To understand the new economics you need to think fractally, wave forms, particle theories. The economy is very unstable to say the least. 

The MOON

is always the mood of the people, and in GEMINI, the people are clearly split. This is a non-committed, juvenile, immature, uninformed  energy. This could be seen as a form of  bipolar energy, -the haves versus the have-nots. We need more information with the Moon in Gemini. Ask more questions, see both sides of the issue, weigh things out, invent something new. Keep your mind Open.

GEMINI MOON squares MERCURY,the  KARMIC NODAL AXIS, and NEPTUNE, opposes MARS & SATURN in SAGITTARIUS and SQUARES CHIRON.

Mercury, the GEMINI Moon’s ruler is recently DIRECT, as of yesterday, after a hellish Retrograde where so many people reported their everyday stuff breaking down it was Crazy. Mercury at the powerful 15th degree is at a virtual standstill and conjunct to the NORTH NODE of the MOON indicates we need to stay GROUNDED, practical, environmental and watch out for our health.

SATURN in SAGITTARIUS opposite the Moon

This is a very intense situation. Saturn is the old patriarchy, tradition, and the karmic cosmic cop. Sagittarius is the sign of politics, history, foreigners, laws, the military, and truth. There are some dirty politics going on with Saturn squaring the NORTH and SOUTH Nodes and NEPTUNE in PISCES. Neptune square Saturn is the reality versus the smoke and mirrors show. This is true in relationship to EVERYTHING! Believe some of those conspiracy theories, open your eyes and your mind. Yes there is a real MATRIX. 

The media spins corporate lies, the American culture is all lies, the economy is a false front. Big Pharma is the greediest, most notoriously evil of corporations. They keep everyone under control and drugged up these days on anti-depressants, painkillers, vaccinations, fluoride in the water which closes down the visionary pineal gland and dissolves bones. They prey on the cancer patients which they create then treat, by giving them radiation and chemotherapy which will kill them. They keep the Saturn ruled seniors alive longer to milk them for more money through drugs. German chemical company Bayer has bought MONSANTO and is attempting to control even more of the food and seed supplies in the world.

This is huge and I woke up going OMG 666. The # 616 is considered to be the same as 666. We are in the 6th month, the number 6 is the LOVERS in the TAROT and GEMINI where Venus and Sun are right now.

This is an accurate description of VENUS=the woman, clothed in the sun. The Sun opposite the Moon is a description of a New Moon, we are still in the New Moon in Gemini energy. Oracle

The cave was a refuge from the Sun, a place where one could listen to the voices of stars even when daylight filled the above, a temple consecrated to night.

A sanctum where no flames burned, but where the white snake listened, always, to the moonlight, the thought of moonlight burning in its dark dream. It was only fitting that the keeper of shadows should be white.

Venus,love, women are being reborn through the soul/Light/source flames of transformation to be reborn. Venus began this journey at the end of October 2014, her last rebirthing phase. Look back at that time for when relationships began or ended.

Sun Venus conjunction June 6 from CIA

It’s mutable and it’s chaos!

Venus /Sun Star point triggers the mutable Cross, exact June 6th  10:30pm UT

There is nothing like a bit of chaos in our lives to get motivated to change and adjust and shift perspectives. I’ve used  “Edge of Chaos” often as a symbol to help us understand, the creative edge between the current reality and the one that is always being formed, that which we are always partaking in be it consciously, or unconsciously.

No doubt many of us are feeling the uncertainty and extremity of the culminating mutable cross. The mutable cross is the alignment of three major planets (now 5) that have been in this formation in and out of intensity since the end of last year. First Jupiter opposed Neptune in September 2015, begining the mutable face off, as the two boundary less planets opened our eyes into the abyss of the unknown where only faith and truth could survive.  Followed by the first Saturn- Neptune square in November,  and the first exact square on Jupiter and Saturn  in March 2016. It’s been a T-square in and out of the making and now this week Venus and the Sun join this mutable line up to form the most exact timing of this cross.  Saturn and Jupiter made their last exact square on May 26th and Saturn and Neptune make their next exact square on June 17th, and now Venus and the Sun come to the midpoint date of these two grand alignments on June 6th/7th at 16° Gemini.

When so much is happening at once, we need to tease out all the aspects one by one, and then synthesise them back together again to make sense of it all.

Firstly the mutable signs Gemini/Virgo/Sagittarius/Pisces are the signs of the zodiac aligned with the end of  the seasons in the tropical zodiac,  when summer moves to autumn and winter begins to show the signs of the coming spring. The mutable signs represent the time for harvest and sharing the bounty (Virgo), the ending of cycles (Pisces),  a time of great anticipation of what the future may hold(Sagittarius) and the collecting and gathering of information that will see us through the next changing phase (Gemini). The mutable signs together represent change, movement, flowing and shape shifting into the next phase of the story.  Anxiety rises, as fears of the unknown also arise within and more so if the story, purpose or goal, when looking into the future may not be clear.

The shadow side of the mutable signs is also felt and experienced strongly at these times, when  the mutable signs show they are unreliable, fickle, deceptive, cunning and nervous and can be seen greatly in the world right now(some may say this is nothing new) but the example is the deception and lies leading to the US elections, the hampering of the votes, the deception by the media and it is hard to decipher what is the real truth.

This is a big part of why we do astrology, we want to know more, increasingly not so much as a predictive tool, but one of purposeful co-creativeness. Not dissimilar from our ancient alchemist magicians where we partake in the planetary magic. How can we best navigate through the Cross?

First it’s good to remember that mutable energy is about being adaptable and versatile, that can help put us back on paths of necessary change, however subtle they may seem. In times like these we call upon the intuitive and the need to understand things from different philosophical perspectives, re- educating ourselves, learning more. If it feels you maybe stuck in your life, this is exactly what is being called for, a re-invention of your wheel. The mutable signs are also about sharing, giving, collecting and distributing information and ideas and cross pollinating with others is key to feeling supported at this time.

With the mutable line up we have the four signs strongly enforced by a planet or two within them:

★ Jupiter – North Node in Virgo – here we are asked to perfect, refine, our beliefs, live your truth, walk our talk. No BS, especially to yourself. It’s the big truth cleansing.

★ Saturn rx – Sagittarius – here we are tested to believe in our cause, work, project, life. A vision of how we are structuring what we need, sculpting our future is necessary.

★Neptune South Node in Pisces – (stations rx in 7days) – here we need to open up to possibilities, believe in the dream, embrace the unknown, and most of all keep the faith. Also with Neptune in Pisces, we need to know that some things are beyond us, and square Saturn, beyond our control. Sometimes it is best to surrender, open up to love and grace and have faith in what will come. A test of Faith is Saturn square Neptune.

Come June 6th just after a new Moon on June 4th at 14° Gemini, all these major planets are joined by Venus and the Sun, which help greatly in this formation to help us make better sense of the matter. The Sun defines goals and purpose and Venus shows us what we love and attract into our lives and being. Venus and the Sun are the quick moving points  in this dynamic , like the wildcards that bring a certain opportunity for a certain moment in time, here they help bring coherence and understanding to the chaos. Ask yourself what it is you want the most and use your heart to help answer any uncertainties. Venus represents  love, and attraction and in Gemini  she is curious, independent, sociable and curious and ready to learn more, re-awaken, and in this position, see the light. If you are sitting back expecting things to shift, change, move for you, it won’t happen without your input. You need to get yourself  out there, change what needs to be changed,  connect, communicate, share your story, ideas, tell your story, act it out, test the water so to speak. If you want something you need to create it, go for it, like a bee after honey, go and actively find what you want, say what you have to say.

The current Venus cycle began with the last retrograde in Leo in August 2015 after which Venus became the eager, on a mission morning star Venus. Now at this next culmination point 9.5 mths later, we are at the peak of her cycle. Here mid cycle, Venus is flying as if with wings behind the Sun toward the next exact Star Point at 16° Gemini.

Fast moving, invisible, in the beams of the Sun, it’s as if Venus here is on her secret mission at this phase of her cycle. She has some personal things to attend to, things she needs to get off her chest. Often connected to Babylonian Goddess Inanna  as here she disappears from our view for 60 days or more and rises again as an evening star, and this part of her journey relates to the descent if Inanna into the underworld that started 7 months prior. Some astrologers see this part of her cycle as her re-birth, (others see the  birth of her cycle as  the retrograde conjunction with the Sun) as here she begins to rise from the underworld.

Either way in this position a transformation is taking place. Here we see Venus  at her fullness phase(even though we can’t see her) symbolic of being fully exposed to her true being, to no one else but the Gods. The Gods, the higher self, demand of her truth and authenticity, where no pretensions, masks, clothes, makeup, belts or jewellery can reinforce her on her mission, only her true, exposed, authentic self.  Yet it’s not an exposure for all to see or witness, in her fullness phase only to the Sun and to the Gods and her true self.

Connected to the Sun, Venus  here is also asked to redefine her goals and purpose, a confirmation of her loves, desires, wants and values all Venusian principles of being is also required. A focus on what she truly wants is needed. Getting to what is at the heart of the matter will answer the questions, what is at the heart needs to be well defined made sense of. When Venus and the Sun connect, they are seen to embrace or kiss, others see Venus here as consumed by the Sun, combust, weakened. I would prefer to see her here as seeking empowerment, away from others, her own personal challenge, a struggle for survival for some. In the ned this is the next phase of transformative growth as part of the Venus cycle, for when she come back down to Earth, things will not be the same, or looked at seen, perceived in the same light, from the same perspective again. Here she makes definitive choices and sees things, relationships and others as they truly are, as Venus also represents also those who mirror us to ourselves and that we attract around us. With Mars rx now back in Scorpio we have a strong connection to both planets being in a state of transformative growth and purification.

Venus is the conduit of the planets in the zodiac that connects all as does her ruling metal, Copper.  She is the co-creative goddess that connects all, unlike Mercury who connects through cognition, words and understanding, Venus connects through, love, harmony and natural beauty. The magic of the Venus cycle reflects the magic in the world, that which is always in flux, growing, evolving,  and part of our co-creative output. If we tap into it, we begin to see it all around,  connect and take part, and know we are co-creating it all as we go. All planets are magicians to us and in their own archetypal ways. Mercury as ruler of our minds and thoughts and creator or our cognitive reality. Mercury at this time in the Venus ruled sign of Taurus, heightens this connection, the Bull that goes form what it wants. Venus opposite Saturn at this time reflects to us, what and why we work, and what we work towards, who or what makes our lives too hard, or too controlled and how we value these connections, how we value what we are paid for. It’s not all love, roses and champagne and Venus /Saturn connections can be pretty heavy as they show us the pain, the hurt and the hardship of the living reality, the debt, the mortgage the bills and the injustice. Yet what we must do, is take back control. Take back control or be controlled.  Also squaring the great openness of Neptune and Jupiter at this time, we are challenged to think big, to think beyond self imposed boundaries, can’t do’s and should do’s  and begin to shape them into the reality that we are in the end, in control of.!!!

Venus and the Sun here at 16° Gemini, are also square the Nodal axis. With the Sun square the nodes we know we are  at the midpoint between eclipses, the last being in March the next in September, it is a cosmic turnaround point. Together with Venus we can see the edge we are truly on, between the past and the future. The Pisces past, don’t forget those dreams, and the Virgoan future, pay attention, focus and serve to make it happen. This polarity reminds us of giving and sharing and believing in the creation of better things. 16° Gemini, is  a point of great awareness in the, a zodiac as one of Venus’ current star points, the point where Venus made her 2 last Transits across the face of the Sun in 2004 and 2012,( for more click here) , and inbetween the Earth and Sun and is also square to the point of 16° Virgo, where the Pluto and Uranus conjunction occurred in 1965,  with the first exact square taking place in 2012. ★Where is the mutable chaos in your chart? Look between the degrees of 10-18° of mutable signs or narrow it down for more effect to see what maybe aspected for you, and mostly where 16° Gemini is. We put it all together to make sure that this Cross challenge is a test for us to believe in ourselves(Jupiter), have faith, (Neptune), do the work (Saturn) and go for it!

With the Moon in Cancer during this exact alignment, fresh, strong, and newly birthed, it is a perfect and potent time to release your intentions. In this week prior, as the Moon wanes, reflect and refine your intentions, and release them with purpose and meaning at this potent alignment, as Venus visits the land of the Gods.

Venus reminds us to be the Bee, to be like a Bee and go for what we want, collect the golden honey. Imagine yourself as a Bee at a fractal point, when everything is about to burst into change and shift, where the past and the future come together and know yourself as the creator at this transition point.
A message also comes with the Bee and that is one of sharing, collecting, distributing what we do for the good of the collective!

Muhammad Ali, Life and death of The Greatest

Muhammad Ali, ‘The Greatest” and three-time world heavyweight boxing champ, one of the most widely recognized people in the world, died June 3, 2016 after a most amazing life. My Dad was a huge boxing fan and one of my strongest memories as a child was of staying up late to watch the Friday Night Gillette boxing matches on the black and white TV with my Dad. That’s how we bonded. 

The undisputed greatest boxer of all time, outspoken black rights activist, war resister, devout Muslim and philanthropist was a larger than life personality. Muhammad was as swift with his famous remarks as for his fancy footwork in the ring. He was and will continue to be an enduring symbol for generations. He was a true cultural and political radical, a man who had even greater courage and influence outside of the boxing ring. He became a U.N. dignitary, fathered nine children, many from affairs  and was married four times. 

His Numerology adds up to 1960 the year he won the Olympic Gold Medal in Rome. He was a number 16 personality The Tower, ruled by Mars -very fitting for a man who blew up structures, and his own personality. His soul was a number 7, The Chariot, which is all about nurturing, protecting, mothering. He was  a sensitive caring soul deep down.

Ali was born in segregated times, in Louisville Kentucky. He was a Capricorn, strong, patient, goal oriented, hard-working obstinate man who wanted to serve his community with a 6th house Sun. This is the house of health, discipline and intellect. His Sun was opposed to PLUTO in LEO Retrograde in his 12th house of the unconscious, past lives, prisoners. Pluto opposed to the SUN is a powerhouse aspect. Leo is the sign of KINGS, courage, daring, loyalty and the heart. He felt like he was a King, and he most likely was in a past life.  Pluto in the 12th is a very spiritual, intuitive, compassionate, psychological place. Ali’s radicalism stems from his MOON, MERCURY and VENUS conjunct in AQUARIUS. The airy Aquarius energy is always anti-establishment and uses ideas to fight with. Ali always sought freedom to march to his own drummer. Mercury in Aquarius was his outspokenes for Black power. Mercury is opposite Chiron in his 12th indicating how his wild radical talk would be also how he shot himself in the foot. This also shows Ali’s compassionate side. His Venus is Retrograde indicating past life karma with women, of valuing radical ideas. He was a natural inventive, pioneering person.Venus on the Descendent shows how his Beauty was his way of interfacing with the world. 

He announced his name change and conversion to Islam on March 6,1964 with the Sun at 15 degrees PISCES exactly on his South Node. He was reclaiming a past life religion. Saturn was at 27 degrees Aquarius, squaring Ali’s Natal URANUS -its ruling planet in his 10th house of career. 

April 28, 1967 Ali opposed being inducted into the U.S. Army. “I will not disgrace my religion, my people or myself by becoming a tool to enslave those who are fighting for their own justice, freedom and equality.”  Venus was at 15 degrees of Taurus  squaring his Natal Venus in Aquarius. Uranus-rebellion- is at 20 degree of Virgo in Ali’s 2nd house of resources trining Ali’s Natal Saturn in Taurus- stubborness and his Sun. Pluto is at 18 degrees of VIRGO also involved in that Grand Earth Trine- this position caused Ali to lose his boxing licence for four years when he was at his athletic prime. He became an anti-war hero to young students.

A boxer would have a strongly placed MARS and Ali’s was in Taurus and he was certainly built like a bull. Apparently the force of one of his punches was equal to a thousand pounds. Mars is the highest elevated planet in his natal chart. Ali was sensuous, strong, stubborn, had good taste, was aggressive, graceful and down to earth. Mars is at the APEX of a T-square between PLUTO in LEO and the MOON in AQUARIUS. These are fixed signs and gives incredibly willpower to accomplish anything.

Ali’s Ascendant was LEO, he had the courage of the LION in so many ways. He wore the crown proudly and was never intimidated by anything. Leo’s are leaders, actors, passionate, aggressive, strong, fiery and childlike. 

Ali had three planets in the house of worldly fame.  SATURN and URANUS conjunct in Taurus both Retrograde and JUPITER in GEMINI.

Saturn and Uranus represent history and evolution, tradition and non-tradition, the old Patriarchy structures and the radical new. This is where he stood up to the establishment and refused to fight in the Vietnam war. He was partly old-fashioned and partly radical. Both these planets Retrograde indicate past lives of being both the traditionalist and the freedom fighter. 

JUPITER in GEMINI is famous for expanding communications and giving the gift of the gab. Ali was famous for his rhyming taunts to other boxers. He was very charming and eloquent. His mind was curious and open. He had two names. This also gave him his speed and agility. He had a dual nature, it was hard for him to be faithful, he had four wives ad numerous affairs. 

His NORTH NODE, his highest spiritual goal was in VIRGO at 14+ degrees, the middle degree in his 2nd house of values and resources. The North Node in Virgo pertains to knowledge, health, organization, intellectual capabilities.  Ali used his mind as one of his greatest tool. The 2nd house is traditionally Taurus, the body, physical strength, another layer of meaning. Ali’s SOUTH NODE was in PISCES the sign of spirituality, oneness, the humanitarian, the poet, the morphing shaman, the compassionate one. Ali must have been a very spiritual person in his past lives. The North and South Nodes are square to Jupiter in Gemini indicating his quick mind and excellent communications skills. He wasn’t University educated.

FAITH is known from the planet NEPTUNE, ALi’s was at the last degree of VIRGO in his 2nd house of resources, what he identified as his resource. NEPTUNE is involved in a GRAND EARTH TRINE With his SUN and URANUS in TAURUS. This gave Muhammad incredible strength to move mountains. Neptune in Virgo is a practical dreamer, a person whose religion is their body, their work, a tool for them to work with. Ali had a great imagination and was indeed the butterfly or a natural chameleon. Neptune is also square to the Galactic Center in Sagittarius giving him a natural philosophical, spiritual, metaphysical orientation. He instinctively saw things from a Higher Perspective.

Ali had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1984 brought on by receiving thousands of punches to his head.  His health has been declining for years, although he served as a U.N. Ambassador, and was a flag bearer in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.

The Mutable Grand Cross of planets were aligned with Ali’s natal planets so strongly. Ali was reported to have said he knew he was going back to God as his brother reported. This is exactly what the planets indicate. Besides transiting Mercury conjunct to his natal Saturn, communicating with death, and the Moon symbolizing the mother, endings, intuition and conjunct to his Natal Uranus planet of higher consciousness and the unexpected. Mars was also opposite Ali’s Natal Uranus indicating this was a fast unexpected end. The transitting nodes are aligning with Ali’s natal positions. He was on the right track.

SATURN planet of death, is directly opposite to Natal JUPITER  in Gemini which the SUN {God, the Light} and VENUS {Love} are connected with. Transiting Jupiter planet of faith, optimism and trust is conjunct to his North Node and Neptune planet of the Faithful, of return to Bliss and Source is connected to his South Node in Pisces. This is indeed one who knows with all oh his mind and body that he is returning to Source. Ali had a beautiful death. May he RIP.

Sun enters the 1st Air Sign May 20 @ 7:36 am PDT/10:36 am EDT/2:36 pm GMT.

Gemini the sign of the naturally bi-polar TWINS, known as a “FUN da MENTAL”  sign. I made that up years ago. It’s a fast paced sign and month of mind games, light-headed, shall we say Air Head? Social butterfly, changing partners, do- see doe-ing, dodging being committed, all the while smiling charmingly in general. I mean no harm to bipolar people and their suffering.

GEMINI is Ruled by that fancy hatted and shoe’d fleet- footed messenger of the Gods –MERCURY, the planet. MERCURY is  consciousness, intelligence, analysis, communications. Our minds have two sides, two lobes, that’s why Mercury is a dual sign. 

Because MERCURY is RETROGRADE in TAURUS as Sun enters GEMINI and almost at standstill turning Direct May 22nd, the energy will be kind of at a standstill for the weekend, inspite of a Sagittarius FUll Moon.  It would be wise to wait till June 7th before really initiating anything new, when Mercury is back to 23+ degrees Taurus on June 7 and bypassed it’s Retrograde degree.
