Mars Retrograde return to Capricorn

Hail the Conquering or more likely Vanquished Hero. Mars is weak from retrograding since June 26. It’s like PMSing for all things macho.

 Mars the warrior planet/God, undisputed macho ruler, Re-enters Capricorn again ass-backward kind of like Mooning the sign or a breech re-birth.

Mars was last at this 29^th and most critical degree of Capricorn on May 15 on another New Moon that one in Taurus. The same day that URANUS entered TAURUS for the first time in 84 years.

Healing the original wound.

It’s the end of June, the aspects are rather light today. Moon enters LIBRA in the wee hours to bring us some detached balance. The Moon squares the SUN, we are half way to the next full Moon July 8/9th in Capricorn.

Chiron turns RETROGRADE  July 1st, Canada’s 150th birthday and its third Chiron Return. Chiron turns Retro at 28+ degrees PISCES, take us all back into opening up and revisiting the original wounds we need to heal for the sake of all of

It’s Canada’s 150th birthday and its third Chiron Return. Chiron turns Retro at 28+ degrees PISCES, take us all back into opening up and revisiting the original wounds we need to heal for the sake of all of humanity now. I was reading something about this earlier. To heal the original wound in humanity is to heal the split of the Patriarchy, its’ deluded fear of women’s power and its own sense of inherent weakness and separation from Source because they do not participate directly in birthing. The Patriarchy has dominated women and nature and controlled women and men for over 5,000 years now through brainwashing, indoctrination using religion as its #1 weapon.  The original wound is always fear and not love no matter who it is directed at.

If men could only face their own sense of vulnerability and heal that the world would be a better more compassionate and more loving place. 

Chiron will be Retrograde until December 5 moving only 4 degrees back, giving us all a nice long slow time to open those old soul wounds gently and air them out, placing healing salves and love balms and calling on our angels, spirit guides and ancestors to help us heal. We must be strong enough to be vulnerable with them and fully feel and cry out the shame, fear, poison envy poison that has lain suppressed for so many millennia now. 

The original wound is the apparent separation of soul and matter. We must unite with the Great mother from when we were all borne.

Chiron is squaring the GALACTIC Center at 27 degrees SAGITTARIUS this whole time. 

SATURN will be conjunct the Galactic Center once more in November as it squares Chiron. This aspects allows us to gain much higher cosmic insights into our Higher Self and the reason we chose to be embodied on this planet now.  Saturn will then leave Sagittarius on DECEMBER 19 entering CAPRICORN the sign Saturn rules for the next 2.5 years. Big changes are afoot. Use this time wisely. Chiron remains in PISCES until the end of 2018 making a short, testing of the waters of a new cycle in ARIES from April til the end of September.

Friday, Goddess Frigg, origin of the F word

Friday, they used to say TGIF which means thank Goddess it’s Friday. Vendredi in French. This day honors and is sacred to the goddess and the planet VENUS, Goddess of LOVE, beauty, relaionships and all things Feminine. 

Venus is known by many names but in English she is associated with the Nordic/Germanic Freya or Frigg in Nordic mythology/spirituality. Frigg’s day = Friday.  Her name, Proto-Germanic “Frija” which means FREE.
Old English “Friga”. Old Norse “Frigg”. Proto-Indo-European (PIE) “Priy-a” or Frida as in Frida Kahlo, name destiny there.

Eating fish on Friday’s, which Catholics borrowed from ancient, ancient customs is to venerate Venus, born from the sea, and women’s vagina’s smell like the sea. Venus is exalted in PISCES. Catholics are eating the Goddess by eating fish, a very sexual metaphor. Christ is associated with the AGE OF PISCES which is a feminine water sign.

Freya is the archetype of the völva, a shamaness or shamanka, a professional practitioner of seidr, the most organized form of Norse magic. It was she who first brought these magical arts to the gods and to humans too. She uses falcon feathers to transform herself into this fierce sharp-eyed bird of prey.  She also possesses a special necklace and used a sacred hallucinogenic wine or liquor which she used to prophesy with.  Frigg knows the destiny of all beings, implying that she also has the power to alter them if she so chooses. Frigg’s weaving activities are likely an allusion to this role as well as Goddesses were considered to be the weavers of fate.

The word volva also echoes vulva, another echo of the sexuality of the Goddess she probably was a tantric priestess. 

She was married to Odin. And the tales tell that when he is away she can be found weeping tears of red gold over his absence. Freya presides over the afterlife she chooses half of the warriors slain in battle to dwell there.

She could control and manipulate desire, wealth, and health. Frigg is a being whose knowledge, beauty and power are unequaled. 

PAST LIVES

In one of many hypnosis sessions I had, years ago in Sedona in 1988. I had a very clear past life memory of being a Norse man who was in a battle on one of those beautiful Viking ships with the striped sails. I was killed in battle by a sword. I had always been drawn to those Viking ships and had drawn a pictire of one when I was in  Grade 3, I remember that so clearly.

One of the ways to connect with past lives is to think about the cultures, symbols or places on the earth that you are attracted to. These are usually past life memories. I have had many past life memories being male and female in man cultures in the world. Egypt, Druid, English, French, Atlantic, Crete, Arabic, Chinese, Jewish, Native American, Tibetan, African, and probably more.  Do you remember your past lives?

This is where the Sagittarius Moon really takes on the SAGE aspect. There may be some heavy karmic fallout with Dad or authority issues under this aspect. Be realistic but optimistic. Launch new projects in teaching, publishing, education. Plan those longed for learning, travel, fun, vaca’s now. There could be Meetings with exotic older strangers. Go see your DAD. For Sagittarius take care of your practical goals before flying off to the next adventure. {I am talking to myself here, of course. }

JUPITER in Virgo opposes CHIRON in PISCES- The FISHER KING

This is the major planetary aspect of the day. JUPITER in VIRGO opposite Chiron in Piscremindsdes me of a much-loved story about the HOLY GRAIL, and the Fisher King. Did you see the modern version of the story in the movie of the same name with Robin Williams and Jeff Bridges? It’s one of my favorites. The famous question in the story is when Percival asks the Wounded King. “What ails thee?” 

Jupiter in Virgo indicates self-criticism and perfectionism. Jupiter opposite Chiron asks us to be practical and compassionate. Jupiter in Virgo is very work focused, accountable, self-critical, nit-picky . This may go to the extreme and prove to lead to many wounds, psychosomatic illness, anxiety, and depression. Many young people, and students I meet as clients complain about the competition, the anxiety and stress they feel constantly. This is a day to honour your needs to feel your feelings fully and admit that you need healing. Is there a workaholics/perfectionists rehab? There should be. But corporate structure forces people into working too much. Crying is recommended. Letting go of old unnecessary guilt is facilitated now. Also maybe a good idea to get a health check up.

Define what you want to say, structure your mission, make a budget and JUST DO IT. Take care of business before gallivanting off. Open up your usual viewpoints to let some fresh air in. This is a fine fiery earthy balance.  You need some humor in your daily grind.

2016 Crystal Ball Tarot predictions by Tara Greene

ok the New 2016 Video is up. I use my Crystal Ball, my intuition, Tarot Cards and Astrology to bring you clear month by month guidance. 

2016 is the year of the Hermit #9 or SAGE. Sage seems more appropriate a term. Especially with Saturn the planet of reality in the sign of Sagittarius which is also about seeking sagely wisdom. Wisdom prudence and good judgement is how the dictionary defines sage.  A profound philosopher.  That perfectly describes Saturn in Sagittarius.

A sage is usually an older, wiser, nature loving person. They care not what other people think. They are humble wise and reserved. They are solitary and listen within or to the plants, the moon, the stars.  They can be female or male. The standard definition is of course masculine, like Gandalf, or Yoda, in popular myths.  If female they will be the wise woman herbalist, a midwife or an older Crone woman, Gloria Steinem or Frieda Kahlo, or Susun Weed, artists Judy Chicago or Clarissa Pinkola Estes.  

Sometimes a guru teacher or mentor steps into your life to teach you. But usually the teaching comes from within and one connection to the soul.. Be careful of falling for any guru this year with Neptune in Pisces in square Saturn. Make sure they are ethical, experienced and don’t make false promises.

the plant, Salvia Officionalis when dried is used in Indigenous rituals to smudge or cleanse the air, body, mind spirit. The herb is good to eat, and has health giving properties. It’s easy to grow, there is also a hallucinogenic variety, called Salvia Divinorum, the name says it. You must be careful when using it for that purpose. I was initiated as a Green Witch by Susun Weed in 1987.

Monday bloody Monday. The Moon is in soft pastels, watery lagoons of creative, romantic, dream time  as the Pisces Moon trines Sun in Cancer, and tickles Pluto in a sweet sextile

I’m flowing along with the tide wherever my imagination takes me. I never knwo what I am going to write most days. I can’t stop  writing. Neptune is at the mid-point of my Sagittarius Sun and Moon. Do I write too much?    then…

reigniting the Cardinal Cross energy from 2014- 2015 at 14+ degrees Cancer this of course is a near hit to the U.S. Sun. You may feel a lurch in your stomach. 

After holidays may be a rude beginning in the world markets today what with Greece’s NO vote. 

Neptune, the oceanic ruler of Pisces is also in an easy sextile to Pluto and in a Grand Trine to the Cancerian and U.S, SUN.

Neptune rules DEBT, illusion, things that aren’t real, fantasy, escapism, spirituality, the SOURCE. 

Moon later conjuncts Chiron in Pisces because yes it will hurt. 

Moon ends the day in an awkward quincunx to Jupiter in Leo in PDT and next morning in EDT. 

there will be much ballyhoo and belly aching and big egos and heads rolling.

What to do: Ignore the fracas and ruckus and tune into your own Higher self, a good day to meditate and dream. Every Pisces Moon is a chance to step away from reality and the 3-D demands of work, and living in the material world, especially as the world will be fussing about the material things or lack of them. You stay centered and calm with the world raging around you. Be the symbol of the Chariot in the Tarot. Be creative as well, dance, paint, sing, chant Holy mantras.

Frida Kahlo the extraordinary artist had an extraordinary astrology chart too. 

with her Sun conjunct Fixed Star Sirius and Neptune {and the U.S. Sun} at 13 degrees Cancer,  the planet of artists, spirituality, and addictions close by, it was natural that she would rise to fame.  Frida had her Moon at 29 degrees Taurus conjunct to ALGOL the Star considered to have the worst reputation and to bring evil. This is also conjunct to the Pleiades, the famed 7 weeping Sisters. With a  Pluto Venus conjunction in Gemini, Frida was a creature of opposites, dual-natured, bi-sexual,oozing charm, attracting wealth, beauty, strength, and she was an amazing communicator. Jupiter and the North Node conjunct in Cancer -she was  a huge soul, the Madre of the earth, who knew what her mission was. With an unusual Retrograde Mars and Uranus conjunct in Capricorn in the 5th house, Frida had enormous discipline, a hard work ethic, she was a fiercely independent woman who came to finish off her karma with men in her life and to change the traditional path for women. The 5th house is traditional the house of children, love affairs, and creative self-expression. She did that in spades, her bus accident- Mars/Uranus left her in pain her entire life with over 30 spinal operations and the inability to have children. Her artworks were her children and she treated her twice married husband Diego Rivera as her baby as shown in the painting. With Mercury in Leo  Frida was a charismatic, beautiful and powerful woman  and was a natural leader, strong-willed, big-hearted, dramatic, ruling like a Queen from her imagination {in the 12th house}. Saturn in Pisces made her a martyr, very creative, a loner, with great spiritual and imaginative depth.  Frida was a Goddess. Her career has eclipsed that of her husband. She is an inspiration to all who see her works. I swear I wrote an article where I deciphered Frida and Diego’s charts and I can’t find it anywhere, Weird.
