EARTH DAY Earth day is 50 years old. Started in 1970 by Jose Arguelles and as one of the originators of the Earth Day concept (due in part to the influence of astrologer Dane Rudhyar), Argüelles founded the first Whole Earth Festival in 1970, at Davis, California. 

The first EARTH DAY saw 20 million Americans came out to demonstrate for environmental protection and awareness.  Since 2009 it has been celebrated as INTERNATIONAL MOTHER EARTH DAY now celebrated in 192 countries with over a billion people world-wide participating. It’s coordinated by non-profit EARTH DAY NETWORK.

HOW FAR HAVE WE COME IN HONORING THE EARTH, OUR MOTHER?

EARTH DAY IS having its CHIRON RETURN. When this transit happens for a person they feel vulnerable. Old wounds surface to be clearly seen and dealt with. It usually takes the shape of a HEALING CRISIS. Chiron was also in Aries 50 years ago. Saturn was in TAURUS where URANUS is now. PLUTO was at 25 VIRGO trine where it is now in Capricorn.

We are all the children of ONE MOTHER who provides all of our nourishment. the EARTH.

For 2020  EARTH DAY is also a New Moon is in the first EARTH SIGN TAURUS, which was, over 26.000 years ago the first sign of The Zodiac which began the New natural Year. Taurus is a sensuous artistic, stable earth sign ruled by planet VENUS. Here we are now in 2020 with a major PANDEMIC COVID-19 interrupting the usual commerce, relationships and patterns of 8 billion people who are quarantined at home. Most people are not aware of the dangers. Chemically introduced “Progress” is usually bad for everyone’s health. Monsanto is planning to use ROBOT drone bees on their crops and are killing nature’s bees.

PROTEST Atomic power plants and radioactive dump sites. FUKUSHIMA continues to leak radioactive poisons into the ocean and air for over two years. the damage is not being reported truthfully in the mainstream media, there was another recent spill. Do NOT eat any fish from the Pacific. 

There are tons of toxins everywhere in all the rivers lakes and oceans, in the ground, in the atmosphere.

The Alberta Oil sands in Canada is a horrible polluter, shame on CANADA. THE GOOD NEWS in 2020 is OIL PRICES ARE VIRTUALLY WORTHLESS now. there is a glut of oil in the world and Alberta production is forced to shut down. 

The oil rig leaks in the Gulf of Mexico caused tremendous environmental damage yet they haven’t been totally stopped. We need to get off the addiction to OIL and PETROLEUM products.

Shift to free solar, wind, ocean power. TESLA technology. Environmentally self-renewing products they are here already!  We can use URANUS in TAURUS Technology to clean up and invent new clean abundant cheap resources.

Generations are getting sicker younger. Species are dying.

We need to radically change everything about how we live, consume, eat, think.

Time is short, we have been too short-sighted.

Chiron has been crossing those degrees during the Cardinal Crosses and is now at 18 Pisces still within opposition to the 60’s degrees but will be moving on soon. 

The SEEDS of Change were planted then to sprout and grow now. YOU born in this generation need to head the call of the larger cosmic forces and BECOME THE CHANGE. Be the change.

This means an older, more humble, grounded, practical minded, revolutionary figure is more likely to fit the Bill for what the cosmos and the U.S. needs at that time.

Virgo New Moon,6 healing tips

These are very stressful times at this Virgo New Moon. New Moons are always new beginnings. Virgo is earth, practicality, information and  health.  We need to stay grounded, healthy and embodied now. 

Virgo, is the earth sign most associated with HEALTH, natural medicine, digestion, using her harvest of natural medicinal plants.

New Moon is at 10:13 am EDT Aug 25. For the 6th sign, here’s  six simple yet effective health tips to launch at the New Moon. Try for 30 days.

1. Walk in Nature

Go barefoot. Connect with Mother earth directly. Commune with the plants, flowers, trees, bees, butterflies.You yourself are earth.

2. Walking meditations

Practice by walking consciously,simply watching your breath and  being present in the moment. Quiet the mental chatter of the inner critic which Virgo is infamous for.  

3. BREATH and INTENTION

As you walk slowly and quiet the mind focus only on your breathing. It becomes natural, simply breathe deeply. With every breath say- “I am breathing  in the natural healing energies with every step I take.” repeat with each step.

4. Listen to your body

Focus your attention from the bottoms of your feet throughout your body. Be very tuned into any felt sense of any energy being “off.” Like the famous Grail legend, ask your body  “what ails it”  and it will always respond. Just ask and listen. Virgo rules the body/mind connection. 

5. Create new natural eating plans

Eat to live, not live to eat. Virgo rules the upper intestine and it’s their weak point. Create a new diet and menu plan for this month. Change your ratio of vegetables to over 40%. The more raw veggies the better. Eat UNprocessed everything. Almost everything in the grocery store is processed. No microwaving at all. Eat  organic food. Eliminate fried, overly fatty, dairy and wheat. No red meat. No fast foods. Eat more whole and simply prepared foods that are easily digestible. You’ll feel the difference.

6. Prayer and mantras

Prayer is an age-old remedy for healing. Say prayers for those who are ill, Virgo loves to be of service. Pray to the Medicine Buddha. A Tibetan Buddha whose Sanskrit name is the origin of the word doctor- Physician.
