A Fated day Nodes, Dragons and Symbols

It’s a FATED DAY today as the SUN at 24+ degrees VIRGO squares the LUNAR NODES at 24+ GEMINI NORTH NODE aka RAHU the Dragon’s Head and 24+ SAGITTARIUS SOUTH NODE or KETU the Dragon’s Tail. One day before a Virgo New Moon.

Astronomically, the Nodes are the intersection points in space of the apparent orbits of the Sun and the Moon around the Earth. This is “apparent” because in reality, the earth is revolving around the Sun but from our vantage point on the blue marble, it appears that the Sun is moving.

I believe in Free Wheel and Fate. We all have Past Lives and come into this one carrying karmas but we choose to shape and change our maleable present past and future through consciousness, awarness and choices in every moment. By doing the deep shadow working through our emotional soul issues we can free ourselves. No one can do this for you. Only you can command your own life. No amount of candle burning, saging, crystals, Tantra, masturbating, gurus, sacrifices or other rituals will change you. Only you working with your Guardian Angels, and the Highest Powers of Love and Goodness have the power to do that. We are fated or drawn to certain people, places and things.  But Everything is not written in stone, you are not a helpless victim. You are not going to be punished by any outside authority God or Goddess. You are a co-creatrix with the Yoniverse.

The lunar nodes are determined by the points where the moon’s orbit crosses the “ecliptic”—the apparent path the Sun makes around the earth. (We say “apparent” because in reality, the earth is revolving around the Sun…but from our vantage point on the planet, it appears that the Sun is moving.

Leo Moon, Sun conjunct Angel Michael

ARCHANGEL MICHAEL is the Fixed Star ALDEBARAN in TAURUS 

The Gemini Sun is currently conjunct with ANGEL STAR ALDEBARAN or St. Michael in the Constellation TAURUS in the East. One of the 4 Royal Stars of Persia from May 29-June 1st. 

I had a major encounter with this Amazing star a year ago while I was in Sedona. I went out at night to watch the star. It was about 3:00 am. Sedona has official dark skies, there are very few lights.  I stood out behind the house and focussed on the star. I swear a pool of waterfall of red starlight came down from the Red Star and fell in a pool on the ground in front of me. It was amazing. I have never seen anything like it before. This reminded me of how the ancients were able to commune with the Stars to get all of their mystical info directly. We can still do it now obviously too. 

St. Michael is very powerful and protective. Call in his energies now if you need them. He brandishes a big fiery sword and kills the dragon of ego and pride and the lower reptilia brain.

Dragons, Scorpions and Goats

The DRACONIDS Meteor showers peaked last night. This is an annual event. The constellation of Draco is one of the most ancient and was one of the first 88 constellations that were categorized in the  West. The main star Thuban was the northern Pole Star around 3,000 BC, during the time of the ancient Egyptians. The King’s chamber in the Great Pyramid is aligned with Thuban along with the Great and small bear and Orion and Sirius. 

Due to the Precession of the Equinoxes it will be the pole star again around the year 21,000 AD. The ancient myths about dragons worldwide are allusions to this once prominent Constellation.  It is a very large constellation, snaking around the most northerly point in the sky and never sets. It covers over 250 degrees of the Zodiac from the Signs of Aries to Sagittarius and containing 18 named fixed stars.

DRAGONS are hugely popular because of Game of Thrones.

The origins of the constellation, Draco was probably the female Chaldean dragon Tiamat, the sea serpent of primordial chaos. Other later myths point to Draco representing the dragon that guarded the golden apples in the garden of the Hesperides or the serpent Python slain by Apollo after the deluge.

Tiamat was a monster of primeval darkness, just such a monster as exists in almost every mythology and must be overcome by the powers of sunlight before the creation of the world can take place.

Dragons in European Tales have usually bean fearful beasts, wreaking terror into the hearts of the simple people, blasting their firey breaths in destruction to protect their cavernous treasure troves of jewels and wealth. Heroes fought the dragons as in Saint George as the Dragon. 

In many parts of the world Dragons are revered and honored. Dragons and snakes are virtually interchangeable. 

In INDIA- NAGA’s 5 headed serpents are considered to be the goddess as serpent mother.

Dragons feature in the mythology as the winged feathered serpent of the Mayans, known as Quetzalcoatyl, their Christ-like figure of peace. Dragons were and still are considered to be positive creatures in China, Imperial dragons of the emperorss.  

A Rainbow serpent called Aido Wedo comes from African Dahomey mythology. Aborigines from Australia also revere serpents.

In PERU indigenous peoples worship the Anaconda. This powerful snake spirit appears to those who take ayahuasca and swallows the drinker of the bitter “Vine of death”  to destroy their egos. That is the whole point of a healing journey. 

Dragons are connected to our DNA, as the oroborous serpent eating its tail. Dragons symbolize infinity.

 

 Many channellers have focussed on the reptilian looking aliens who have programmed humans through genetic manipulation. Our primal brain is called the reptilian part of our brain this is our instinctual primed for survival only  oldest part of our brains. 

The Kabalists associated DRACO with the Hebrew letter “Mem: and the 13th Tarot Symbol of “Death. 

Snakes are very ancient symbols of rebirth as a snake sheds its skin and does not die, it regrows a new one. Our ancient ancestors who were able to understand and interpret the natural world directly saw the snake/dragon as a symbol of life as an eternal journey. The snake lives on sheds its skin as the body or personality and gains a new one. In the same way, women were considered just like snakes as they shed their menstrual linings every month in concert with the moon, bled, and did not die. As women are also the givers of Life, the symbol of the snake is synonymous with women. 

These annual meteor showers rain their falling stars down on us in the Northern Hemisphere to wish upon and amaze us, and for thousands of years we have observed these magical times. 

A very popular rap singer carries the name of Drako and that is Toronto’s own DRAKE.

DRACO MEDITATION

Do a meditation and ground yourself into Mother earth and then breath the earth energy up your spine and out into the northern most part of the sky to DRACO. Feel the energy of Draco as a living breathing writhing serpent. Feel its ancient power. Ask Draco if she will work with you, and grant you wishes as the meteorites fall. 

Call upon the DRAGON to bring its fire-breathing breath to slay or vanquish any enemies fears or negative energies around you.  Many people I have heard from lately were reporting feeling attacked.  This is the kind of energies you would use to banish any negativity.

Use the dragon power to re-energize your DNA but you must be very grounded to do so. luckily we are under a CAPRICORN earthy moon. Ask to be able to step into the body of the dragon serpent and become a fire breathing dragon yourself.  Those are vert good boundaries to have. Fire signs may enjoy this energy more than most.  If you lack fire then be brave and ask for the brave energetic strength of DRACO to help you.

Just a quick card of the day today.

The 5 of Wands from the Mythic Tarot by Liz Greene

The 5’s in all Tarot pips is a challenge number. It is half way from 1-10 and always indicates obstacles, tests, roadblocks, difficulties, struggles, feeling caught in a bind.

In the Thoth Tarot it has Saturn in Leo as the associated planet and Sign and it is the fist Decan of LEO from July 22-August 1st.

MEANING:

I have this Mythic Tarot deck: According to the book it shows the Greek Myth of Jason’s battle with the dragon which guards the golden fleece.  Jason fights the beast with two flaming wands and he is assisted by his lover and helper the sorceress Medea, daughter of the King of Colchis who has been in possession of the magical fleece. Three carries three flaming wands.

The five of wands shows the struggle against the lower reptilian Draconic instincts of the brain as well as in the culture and society. They are powerful and horde their treasure. They are like the Bildenbergs, the Federal Reserve, Putin or any powerful country corporation or head of state. Dragons refuse to change.  They horde the jewels which in natural law must be in circulation to encourage growth. The hero or heroine must use their instincts, and Leo like will power and courage as well as the powers of the High Priestess or Sourceress to assist in outwitting the dragons who refuse to grow.  Dragons symbolize fear.

The dragon represents the fear of change, the flat-earthers, the right wingers, the Tea-Partiers of the world, the Republicans, Donald Trump, the Patriarchy, the blind faithful religious followers, all religious groups who obey an outside authority of any type of  Church, based on antiquated ideas,  a Luddite, insular, racist, sexist, resistant to change person or group. We as the heroes and heroines must overcome these anti-life parts of ourselves and in the outside world.

We can all see how valid this particular card is in relationship to the world. Game of Thrones is partly so popular because of the magical appeal of dragons. If the dragon can be tamed rather than killed, its powers are really magnificent. Dragons lend us the ability to fly, breathe fire, they are the masters of many elements and worlds. They are ancient archetypes, dinosaurs, reptiles, they symbolize our own biological evolution of consciousness on the planet earth.

Heal your past, use dragon power byTara Greene

We are between two eclipses.  It is a liminal, twilight, transformative  space. We are now releasing the past with the Pisces South Node SOLAR ECLIPSE and moving towards a new future on the next Lunar eclipse March 23 in LIBRA.

Eclipses can only be created when the Sun and Moon are closely aligned to the North Node, called the DRAGON’s HEAD, from ancient Indian Astrology,called RAHU, and the South Node of the Moon, the DRAGON’S TAIL, called KETU. It is the dragon energy which create the eclipses. This is very, very ancient symbolism.

Game of Thrones, the incredibly popular HBO series, is full of ancient dragons. These archetypal symbols always attract us because of their deeper symbolism.

In Alchemy, the dragon biting it’s tail in either a circle or other formation is called the OUROBORUS.  It symbolizes wholeness, infinity, the cycles of time itself, the wheel of karma, the law of nature, the Phoenix rising eternally from its own ashes. In Ancient Egypt, China, India, Mayan, Aztec cultures all used this symbol which carried an  important religious and mythological Archetypal meaning

The Pisces South Nodal SOLAR eclipse, aligned with the dragon’s tail always refers to past life karma or old ingrained unconscious patterns. The SOUTH NODE eclipse in Pisces conjoined with CHIRON the Wounded Healer, allowing every one of  us to totally release that past, whether totally conscious or unconscious, and to let go, through tears, through emotional release, prayers, mantras and intentions- all that has chained us. 

Let all the old wounds and memories come up. I was remembering that I was not present when my mother and my father died. I never really grieved my mother’s death properly because of the timing of her death. Whatever old memories or the realization of old stuck energy patterns arise,  cry the pain out and let it go. Spend as much time as you can, releasing, stomping around, screaming, banging things, and letting go of old addictions, a PISCES theme. Especially with Venus entering Pisces March 12, there is more love, receptivity and emotional power to release Alcoholism, shopaholic, romantic projections, martyrdom, sex addictions, workaholism, these all can be healed. Shamans of the Yaqui lineage, the NAGUALS spend 7 years releasing their past memories in a breathing technique called Recapitulation. Yuo can accomplish this faster now. 

To do this.

Bring up all the emotion all the feeling: That emotional energy is the karmic glue, and is what releases it. Simply state  with great emotion. “I release all past habits and negative karmic patterns both conscious and unconscious now from within myself and for all time and places, past, present and future. “

Focus on being healed from your old karmic issues and in the process you are baptized and washed clean of all your “sins.” As you do this for yourself, you also heal the generational wounds, the sins of the fathers and the mothers. Be the witness who see the patterns, the compulsions and release yourself.

You are your own judge, jury and witness. Holy crap. I just totally GOT a dream I had many years ago. It had Bette Midler in it. And she was in the news today telling Kim Kardashian off for posing nude. wow fascinating. Thank you. It is also like the symbol of JUDGEMENT #20 in the TAROT where the ANGEL Gabriel blows the trumpet on Judgement day and the dead rise again. 

The NORTH NODE, the DRAGON’s HEAD always represents what we are aspiring to, where we are going. The LUNAR ECLIPSE March 23 comes three or four days after the SPRING EQUINOX the major turning point and the true beginning of the year. 

A Lunar eclipse directly affects our emotions, it is a FULL MOON, a completion cycle, a communion time. 

The Lunar Eclipse at 3+ degrees LIBRA is actually inconjunct to the star that symbolizes the Archangel Gabriel. Fomalhaut at 3 degrees PISCES Tropical. This is a challenge for us but one that means connecting the emotions and the mind, the head and the heart.

Zero point reset, North/South Nodes, dragons

The Lunar Nodes, the points where the Moon intersects with the Sun’s path repeats at the same degree every 18 years.  These Nodes, also called the Dragon’s Head and Tail are what’s responsible for creating eclipses. Yes that’s right. If you were interviewing the twins, the North and South Node of the Moon and asked them what they did. They’d say ” We create eclipses.”  

 

The SOUTH Node of the Moon, called KETU/ the Dragon’s tail from traditional Vedic Astrology, symbolizes and magnetically draws us into our collective karmic past. The South Node will be transiting the SUPER POWERFUL ZERO ARIES POINT now, exact on September 11, 9/11 and throughout September. The South Node will be stationed there until November 11, Remembrance Day. 11/11 the Archetypal Gateway.  

How the North and South nodes work

The NORTH NODE of the Moon, { the Dragon’s Head, called RAHU  in Vedic Indian Astrology } where we need to evolve towards,will be conjunct to the Zero degree LIBRA POINT, the karmic balancing point, the sign of Karmic Justice, the new equal partnership sign at the same time.

These two points, symbolize the ALPHA, {Aries} beginning and the OMEGA, {Libra} ending of everything and of course affects the seven billion humans on this planet. “I am the Beginning and the end.”

The Aries point is the Archetypal BIG BANG ignition point. The degree where LIGHT, the word, AUM, exploded out of the Void of sheer potential darkness. In the beginning…

The South Node of the Moon symbolizes the collective unconscious past and all the emotions connected to it, the karmic ties that bind. Connected to the Aries South Node symbolizes very literally, the collective past of humanity’s unconsciousness and emotions being released to create an entirely new beginning, a new Big Bang, a new Consciousness. 

The North Node at zero degrees Libra, coincides with the Autumn Equinox Northern Hemisphere/ Spring Equinox  Southern Hemisphere when the Sun is on the Equator. The Sun is in an equal balance to the earth. The stories of the “Golden Age” when there was no winter relate to a time before the earth was tilted at its present 23+ degrees which creates the seasonal changes. 

For me this harkens also to a time of a Golden Age being reborn. That fairness, and equal rights which LIBRA symbolizes means equality between women and men, equality and respect between all persons and all relationships.

Libra is the scale of Ma’at’, The Ancient Egyptian Goddess who, weighed the heart of a deceased person against her ostrich feather diadem. In life our hearts need to be light as a feather.  No worries, no regrets, peace, balance, harmony, beauty, creativity. 

Libra is also Judgement, literally Judgement Day and yes many Christians and Jews are aware of the Shemitah year, the Blood Moons and this eclipse season. 

Speaking of Judgement Day, years ago I did an art performance, in 1977 for a multi-media art event called The JUDGEMENT DAY BURLESQUE. This was a concept of Tom Dean, a Canadian artist. In my earlier incarnation as an artist, he and I worked together creating some of the posters and co-ordinating artists for the events.

One poster I created showed Fred Astaire and Ginger Rodgers dancing atop an Atomic Bomb mushroom cloud.

Just thinking about Judgement Day. No matter what it looks like in the world. Just keep spinning and dancing gracefully like Fred and Ginger, in the cosmic flow. 

Stay very focussed on your spiritual goals. Remember that the end point is near, literally. Release and release and release until you are emptied. This is a karmic purging. 

Listen to you higher self.

I am listening to mine and am being called to be in Sedona again to hold space. I am not sure exactly how this series of meditations will unfold exactly. I have to listen in the moment. 

Spirit to be calling me to hold the space for others who don’t necessarily have to be present with me. The same way I do readings for clients all over the world who I’ve never met as in long-distance healing.

What happens during a ceremonial sacred ritual?

I create sacred space. Smudging, cleansing, calling in the 8 directions at a sacred spot. I pray to the elements, the planets, the Angels, and directions. I  use my ceremonial shamanic drum, I chant, offer tobacco and cornmeal as is traditional. Each ceremony is tailored to each date to synchronize with the planets and stars. These ceremonies usually take 90 minutes or longer and I am guided by spirit. I call out your name or those you love into the circle for healing, cleansing, abundance, health, joy and to receive Divine love.

The Hero’s journey, Perseid Meteor Shower

The Perseid Meteor showers are annual very prolific meteor  showers appearing to us to be emanating from the Constellation Perseus. They peak tonight August 12 and tomorrow.

In Greek Mythology Perseus was the legendary founder of Ancient Mycenae and to the Perseid dynasty of Danaans, was the first hero. He was a hero who defeated various archaic monsters which are psychological complexes personified and archetypal symbols which became the founding myths of the Twelve Olympians.
Perseus beheaded the Gorgon Medusa whose head was crowned with dreadlocks as she was an African Amazon which was misinterpreted as snakes. Although serpent power was connected to Goddess tribes. He also rescued and  saved Andromeda who was chained to a rock from the sea monster Cetus. Perseus was the son of the mortal Danaë and the god Zeus. He was also the great grandfather of Heracles, also a son of Zeus.

The modern-day Percy Jackson books for teens and films is a modern take on the ancient myths.

Joseph Campbell, author of many books most famously The Hero with a Thousand Faces described the Ancient archetypal stories that are repeated over and over again everywhere in the world from ancient camp fires in caves to the big screen Hollywood blockbuster of today and tomorrow. Harry Potter, Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Lord of The Rings, aall the marvel comic characters, Superman, Batman, and Aladdin, are part of these stories

The Hero/ Heroine’s journey is this:

The Hero/heroine is introduces in his EVERYDAY World where they receive the CALL TO ADVENTURE.  At first RELUCTANT, to cross the first gateway or threshold. Eventually the hero/heroine meets with Tests, allies and enemies. They reach the   darkest most forbidden and scariest place, usually a labyrinth, Hell, or other Nightmarish place. Here they must face the Supreme Ordeal. The hero/heroine seizes the sword, Grail, jewel, Lamp or other treasure and is then pursued back to their place of origin. The hero/heroine is resurrected and transformed by the experience of facing the Dragon, defeating the giant, escaping the whale, tomb, or near death.  They return to their ordinary world with a treasure, boon, Elixir or benefit to offer the world.

 During the peak of the Meteor shower tonight and until Friday, the as above, so below symbols are to make  wishes to be the hero/heroine of your own life; to be more courageous in facing your own demons and shadows where you eventually discover the treasure within.

This also ties in with Saturn still hanging in there at 28+ degrees Scorpio. Saturn is the dragon, our own internal projected demons/daemons. I am struggling with my own Saturn stuff here. So please patience is a Saturnine virtue. We may do the belated support group on Google.

Happy Quan yin day, blessings of compassion

Prelude. The post- Total Lunar eclipse energy had me feeling  down, with so much dark energy coming up. Yet I was also feeling my angel and spirit guides presence too. I felt like I was living with both feelings at the same time in parallel universes. A friend of mine,who does very high level spiritual work called me yesterday saying she was feeling overwhelmed and down and crying. I said I was feeling it too. I told her that it is very Libran to feel that polarity, the whole point is to feel it all and to hold the tension of the opposites. That is what Carl Jung said the great work is.  We need to make both feelings transparent not try to pretend it is all light.

The Moon is also in Scorpio which also brings up deep deep emotions. So it feels totally synchronous that…

 April 7 Billions of people are celebrating the birthday of  the Goddess of Mercy and Compassion Quan Yin/ Kwan Yin today. She is the Divine Mother Goddess and the most worshipped Goddess in the world who we need to call upon to end suffering . She is a Goddess of Love and Light. 

All Buddhists,  love and pray to Quan Yin. Chinese Taoists consider her an Immortal. Her name means “observing the Sounds of the world.” She is worshipped through Eastern Asia under different names. 

She is known as a Bodhisattva.  This is a Buddha, an enlightened being who has given up their own liberation from the wheel of karma and who volunteers to come back into the world to help alleviate the suffering of all sentient beings until everyone is liberated. It’s a very serious vow to make.  As White Tara in Tibetan Buddhism, she was the first Buddha to take a Female form. 

She is also shown as a male aspect inTibet.”Avalokiteshvara” which means “the lord who looks upon the world with compassion”.

In China she is shown as a beautiful woman in white, often shown riding a dragon, or a dolphin.  She holds a willow branch, which was used to heal people’s illness and to bring fulfillment of their wishes. This can indicate dowsing with willow and a magic wand? Witches used willow.  She also holds a vase with water and a lotus flower.  Water is the dew of compassion and it has the qualities of purification. She is also revered by vegetarians. 

Sometimes shown with eleven heads and thousands of eyes on the palms of each hand, a symbol of seeing all the suffering of sentient beings and having thousands of arms to help them.

There is a sacred place to worship Kuan Yin, Putuo Mountain in China. It is an island near Ningpo in Zhejiang Province. She has made miraculous appearances in this place. 

I have prayed to in her  in her aspect as White Tara and she has come to me in meditations and is a spirit guide for me. She is like Mother Mary, White Bufallo Woman to Native Americans or even as the same emanation as Jesus. She would be considered like the Shekinah in Judaism. 

Anyone can pray to Kwan Yin, She forgives and comforts us as a Mother. She teaches us to forgive ourselves, and to love ourselves. She is said to appear to anyone who calls upon her. 

I didn’t realize that April 7 was considered Kwan Yin’s birthday. My mother,  may she rest in peace was born on this day. I am crying because I really gave her a hard time when I was a kid. When she died it was on a Holy Day and we were told that only very auspicious spiritual people die or are born on these days,and I didn’t know that either until it happened.

If you have guilt around your mother, for not respecting or dishonoring her, or the Feminine in any way shape or form, use this day to shed tears of purification for yourself and to ask for forgiveness through Kwan Yin and to have compassion with yourself.

Her mantra is OHM MANI PADME HUM – which means, Hail to the jewel in the lotus.

Usually a pure crystal mala or prayer beads are used to repeat the Buddhist mantra 108 times to Kwan Yin. You can use a clear quartz crystal and send your prayers into the crystal, Meditate on Kwan Yin. 

Anyone can be like a Bodhistavva, like Kwan Yin. The best thing to do today is to “Be the Goddess you want to see in the world.” Tm. With your kindness and compassion you can bring peace and tranquility into the world.  Listen to Lisa Thiel’s beautiful song about Kwan Yin, which I have listened to  for almost 30 years now.
