The Great Attractor

Perhaps in the not too distant future, in the Real Age of Aquarius, after all existence of the concept of the Bible, prophets, Patriarchal religions, Churches, synagogues and mosques have been remade into quaint art museums, and the word God has been wiped from humankind’s memory banks we will be saying our salutations to this, The Great Attractor. 

The Sun is now on the middle degree of Sagittarius, and conjunct to The Great Attractor. What is the GA?  The Great Mystery, this is the word I was told the Indigenous people’s address the great unknowns as. We do not know. What we do know about it is this: It is a super massive Galactic gravity anomaly in intergalactic space within the vicinity of the Hydra-Centaurus superclusters at the center of the Laniakea Supercluster that reveals the existence of a localized concentration of mass tens of thousands of times more massive than the Milky Way.

The GA is  gobbling up  our tiny Milky Way Galaxy along with the large Virgo Cluster, the Hydra-Centaurus Supercluster, other groups and clusters and the Local Group –  us and our 30 plus galactic companions all headed towards the Great unknown, aka Abell 3627 at the center.

The GA is so huge it bends light around it, yet it lacks an event Horizon for it to be a Black Hole. It is like a Quasar. It retreats as it has an extreme red shift yet it also has a huge ultraviolet aspect indicating light is also advancing.  In other words it appears to move in two directions at once.  It throws curveballs with light, so that we can see what is behind it.  This image invites us in to be totally curios, about this totally quixotic manifestation. The light scatters and creates refraction patterns around the gravitational core – the object’s center of mass. As it rotates, as most gravity bending objects do, the pattern shifts in a kaleidoscopic manner. Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. These light refractions are intriguing, and they also contain illusionary effects, called radial arc, giant arc, Einstein Ring and the Einstein Cross. WTF are we seeing? We don’t know. We are just being hauled into it by its great Attractor beams.

In 2005, astronomers conducting an X-ray survey of part of the sky known as the Clusters in the ZONE OF AVOIDANCE  (CIZA) project reported that the Great Attractor was actually only one tenth the mass that scientists had originally estimated. The survey also confirmed  that the Milky Way galaxy is in fact being pulled towards a much more massive SUPER SIZED cluster of galaxies near the Shapley Supercluster, which lies beyond the Great Attractor. Beyond the beyond.

I love the names the astronomers and astrophysicists have given them. It is all metaphors. 

The Zone of Avoidance is the part of the Night sky that is obscured by the dust of the Milky Way Galaxy.  This is all beginning to sound to me like a Rocky & Bullwinkle cartoon show. 

The Zone of Avoidance could be another name for Evil, the Devil, Ignorance, or your lower nature, the klipoth or shells, in Kabbalah. A split off part which is a necessity. Should I stay or should I go?Well we don’t even appear to have a choice in the Bigger Picture.

The Great Attractor which I can hear being sung by The Platters, which is an image of our milky way galaxy, to the tune of The Great Pretender is a symbol of our past and our future, of a place of great psychic insights, a deja voodoo spot. It represents the great unknown of our origins.

The Great Attractor is the location of the Planetary South Nodes of both Venus and Uranus. Crazy Stupid Love anyone?

The Lunar Nodes are used by Astrologers in natal charts and transiting lunar nodal aspects, but the planets have nodes, too. The intersections of the planetary orbits with the ecliptic, forms nodes which are very fixed, even slower moving than the so-called “fixed stars,” whose precessional movement takes 26,000 years to make a zodiacal round.  

The U.S.  Sibley chart, the most commonly used Natal chart of America has a 12 degrees 21 Sagittarius Ascendant. The U.S. attracted millions of immigrants to her shores every decade in the mid-1800’s. 

The South Node of Uranus is 13°59′ Sagittarius; the South Node of Venus is 16°40′ Sagittarius.

If you have Sun Moon Ascendant or planets around 14 degrees Sagittarius then Take Note.  You can polarize people and have a great impact on them.  They people can give the impression that they hold the key to the mystery of the universe, correctly or not but they may be oblivious to this fact themselves. 

SATURN will contact the Great Attractor at 12 + degrees Sagittarius  on January 9 2016 UT.at the same time Saturn will also conjunct the U.S. ASCENDANT. This is a major turning point in how the U.S. shows itself to the world, its aims its persona. Saturn makes it harder, colder, drier. Saturn crossing the U.S. Ascendant is a time of karma, maturity, limitations and obstacles.

In Sagittarius Saturn  relates to restrictions, laws, justice, travel, religion, politics, freedom,  or incarceration, education, honesty, regarding foreigners, immigrants and international policies.

Remember that at 9/11 Pluto was at 12 degrees 38 minutes of Sagittarius {conjunct the Great Attractor}  and Saturn was at 14 degrees 45 minutes of Gemini.

  Saturn will be hovering over those South Nodes {past events} of Uranus {Freedoms, revolution and technology} and Venus {values, money, women} up until March 25 at 16 degrees 24 minutes of Saggy. 

Saturn will RETROGRADE over the Great Attractor on June 18 2016  and move over this 12 degree + GA point Direct on October 6 2016 

On November 22 2016 Saturn conjuncts Venus South Node at 16+ degrees Sagittarius. 

The last time Saturn  touched the GC was on December 3, 1986 UT.  for one pass. 

Obviously we are in for some major karmic lessons now, 15 years after 9/11. It doesn’t feel good to me.  I have been predicting this for the last few years. the FEMA camps were built to corral  all Muslims. Many thousands of Muslims will be deported. Immigration will stop to the U.S. All those boys born in 1986 who have the Moon, Mercury, Venus and Pluto in Scorpio on that day. With Mars in Pisces and Jupiter in Pisces -Very emotional, psychic, sensitive,impressionable, malleable, squaring Saturn. With Uranus opposite Chiron in Sagittarius/Gemini, using tech to fight others, and the North Node at 19 degrees Aries are having their first Saturn return. It will be intense for the women too. 

What this means:  A chance to connect to some incredible “out there, charismatic light-bending, mind-freaking, multi-dimensional energy over the next few days and during those dates in 2016 as Saturn holds us down concretizes us to that Zone of Avoidance. 

One of my great mottos is Don’t avoid the Void. The GA is the Void. There is a deeper wisdom for all who feel called to fall into the dark matter. Consciousness cannot be bent like Light, or can it?

Robin Williams Life and death, Astrology

I know I, like millions of others are feeling terribly heart broken and sad that Robin Williams who engendered millions of tears of laughter and joy passed away too soon on August 11 at age 63 of an apparent suicide. I adored Robin from his manic Spaceman Mork from  Ork, as  Popeye in his first major film. I loved him in The Bird Cage. We all know of Robin’s amazing skills as the fastest stand up improv comedian ever.

Robin always seemed very unpretentious, warm, raising a lot of money for charities, he excelled as a serious actor and won an Oscar as well as numerous awards for his serious acting skills. Robin delighted children and adults alike as the voice of the Genii in Disney’s Aladdin or playing Peter Pan, or Mrs. Doubtfire. Personally I loved Robin in the Fisher King and also in an amazing spiritual movie he made called what Dreams may come which seems highly relevant now. It Seems like Robin has been a star forever he was part of the scenery of everyones lives.

Yes he had addictions- to cocaine when his instant fame wealth and success came in the late 70’s. Alcohol as well. Robin recently went to rehab to regain sobriety after 20 years of being clean. I had heard rumors that he was bankrupt and his recent TV series The Crazy Ones was cancelled after one season. I felt sad that such a great talent who had brought so much joy and laughter to millions of people  would be bankrupt and fragile. He was known to have bi-polar disorder.The coroner will have to investigate the cause of Robin’s death. Whatever the cause, Robin was a a huge talent, the likes of which we may never see again.

So lets look at who Robin Williams was in his life and why his tragic sudden early death occurred now. Aug 11 at 12:02 pm  when he was pronounced dead in Marin County California. He leaves behind his wife of only 3 years and  3 children.

A Cancer Sun born July 21 1951 at 1:34 pm Chicago Illinois to a wealthy family, he was the great great grandson of a Mississippi senator. He managed to get a full scholarship to the prestigious Juilliard school in New York.

Robin was a gentle, emotional nurturing soul who needed a lot of emotional security behind that manic nature of his, born in late Cancer with his Sun in the 9th house which is asssociated with the natural sign of Sagittarius famed for its good humor. His Sun was barely aspected except for an onerous Quincunx to CHIRON the wounded healer exactly on the Galactic Center at 27 degrees of Sagittarius in Robin’s 2nd house of resources, money, and self identity! Chiron on the Galactic Center makes one an open vulnerable wounded receptacle for everything coming down the Galactic pipe.

Robin signed on to be the GALACTIC CLOWN, the cosmic fool and wounded healer who needed to make the cosmos laugh in order to deal with his own probably very needy insecure nature in what he felt was an absurd universe.

As would be expected from someone who achieved super star status Robin has Mercury the planet of communication right on his MC the world fame position, conjunct PLUTO in LEO sign of leaders, actors, bright shining Stars. Robins soul, Pluto, was connected exactly to his ability to communicate at that red hot lightning fast speed and it all came right from his soul and heart. We could all feel it.

Robin’s MOON was conjunct to his North Node in PISCES in his 4th house. His Moon was his mother, his instincts, feelings, imagination, dreams. To have the Moon connected to the North Node is a very karmic position especially in PISCES the most spiritual of all signs. He had to manifest his souls spiritual purpose.

In Pisces, this is being the chameleon, and having no boundaries it was easy for Robin to become anyone, his imagination was unbounded. This is also where his addictive patterns began. Robin’s Moon in Pisces meant he was a total psychic sponge and very empathetic with his Mother and everyone in his surroundings as a child. If his natural sensitivity was not fostered by his mother in his childhood then that energy became an addictive need. Moon in the 4th house could mean that Robin was probably crushed in his childhood and a part of himself was extremely private. Moon and North Node in the 4th house in Pisces indicates the need for unconditional self love and acceptance. This is also where Robin’s  child like innocent energy sprung from, in some ways he was the eternal child, like Peter Pan who he portrayed in the movie as a grown up Pan.

NORTH NODE Moon in Pisces can be lifetime addictions issues. Pisces can be creative geniuses and also failed dreamers. Escapism is one means of handling painful emotions,  coping by using drugs, alcohol, busyness. Robin was very philanthropic and charitable as befits someone with this prime Pisces nature.

Robin took his empathic, sensitive, lunar nature and transformed it  as a means to express his enormous talents through his natal Venus -planet of love, beauty, arts in Virgo- the detailed perfectionist, workaholic, conjunct his SOUTH Node in the 10th house of fame.

Karmically this would indicate that Robin had been,in a past life,before he was born, a wealth intellectual, land owner, an accountant, or magistrate, Lord or intellectual,  someone of wealth and means. He was already familiar with power and fame. 

Robins Mars was in Cancer at 11 degrees, in the 8th Scorpionic house  conjunct URANUS. This is where Robin’s rapid fire manic helter skelter stand up free form jokes spring from. Robin felt like an alien, an outsider. No wonder that he first gained fame on TV as the alien MORK from Ork. He was naturally a radical, stimulated from the higher octave of Mercury’s communicatons, in the 8th house of transformation, resources, power, control,  shadows. Both planets are very close to the U.S. Sun at 13 degrees making everyone in America especially adore Robins energy and wildly original exuberant nature.

Mars  is the T-Square focal point for Neptune in Libra in the 11th house of Aquarian open mindedness, cutting through old paradigms and Jupiter in Aries in the 5th house of MANIC rapid fire, self- made creativity, self-expression, giving love childlike innocence.  

The Neptune Jupiter opposition is extremely creative, sensitive, imaginative and dreamy. Jupiter rules humor, optimism, fun. Jupiter in Aries gave Robin his seemingly inexhaustible copious comedic energy, fueled by Mars, ruler of Aries. He was a comedic cosmic warrior .

Saturn symbolized his father, his own maturity, his career. In late Virgo in the 11th house it is square to his Chiron in Sagittarius. Robin was a very serious, hard working perfectionist, never a slouch. He was very responsible with his work. He was prodigiously intelligent as well, with a sense of being open, and exploring new realms in his career and characterizations. Robins role again was to embody- Virgo, the cosmic FOOL, the innocent child, the clown who is crying on the inside.

SCORPIO ASCENDANT-  

A Scorpio Ascendant give Robin those intense often sad looking beaming blue eyes, much intensity, passion, enormous drives for sex, money, power, control, obsessiveness, and charisma.  Robin definitely had a dark probing side, he wanted to take himself and others into the depths of  the shadows through humour. He was driven by his own shadows as well. He would relentless pursue whatever he wanted until he got it. Life has never really been easy for Robin but he kept it a secret and only those who really knew him saw the depths of his dark side. He felt a lot of pain.  

I had just been trying to locate an amazing film of Robin’s,one of my favourites just last week to show at the dream workshop I was teaching,called What Dreams May Come an amazingly spiritual film about death, suicide  and the afterlife made in 1998. You should check it out.

DEATH and the stars on August 11th how were the planets affecting Robin?

Robin had been under the tremendous pressure of the GRAND CARDINAL CROSS for the past year especially.

In April at the height of the four planet crucifix, Robin was being hit by  PLUTO and URANUS plus Jupiter and Mars squaring opposing and conjuncting his Natal MARS URANUS, NEPTUNE JUPITER opposition. Thats an 8 planet cosmic traffic jam of epic porportions.

Robin had Jupiter on his Natal Mars Uranus conjunction making him unpredictably moody in Cancer. Transiting Mars in Libra squaring that bundle and near his natal Neptune {addictions, delusion, illusion}.

Uranus was sitting exactly on Robins Natal Jupiter in Aries, while Pluto Lord of the Underworld was transiting his 2nd house, opposing his natal Mars and Uranus with Jupiter there. Pluto was squaring his Natal Jupiter in Aries with Uranus transiting that and also squaring transitting Mars in Libra and natal Neptune. That’s a huge stress. 

SATURN had been moving through Robins 12th house until very recently for the past year.

This is always a depressing transit, one feels old, tired, leaden, heavy. Robin was being tested karmically as he was prepping for  a rebirth cycle. Saturn had only recently crossed his Ascendant and was squaring his PLUTO – death, rebirth, the shadow in his world fame position. I had heard that Robin was bankrupt and his last TV show was not successful, he must have been feeling very stressed, must have felt as if he were drowning, losing his Leo pride and position of power and influence.  Saturn  was making him feel desperate, empty, foresaken, alone.

Venus was sitting on Robins Natal Sun indicating a sense of returning to love, to a place of comfort, security, nurturing, safety.

NEPTUNE planet of addictions had also reached his Natal MOON and near his NORTH Node in his 4th house of his mot  private self, his childhood, fears, addictions, illusions, denial, fantasy.  Neptune was of course opposite his South Node and his Natal Venus in Virgo  indicating he longed to return home.

The Moon was actually in Pisces when he passed, so this was a final New MOON cycle for Robin. Passing away on a Pisces Moon indicates that Robin went back to a place of bliss, to his origins, to the Heaven world from which he entered 63 years ago, back to the place of  oneness, free at last.  

Just as at the end of the  movie Aladdin when Robin as the Genii is freed, Robin is now |”Free at last.” 

I have been crying as I wrote this article. Strange that I was thinking so much about Robin and that movie. His great gifts and force in the world feels like it is tangibly gone now. I wish him and his family great healing. You will always be remembered Robin. Laughter is the greatest medicine and you were one of the best doctor’s around.

Maleficent, Hollywood oracle, love vendetta metaphor Astrology

The I have often observed that Hollywood is  synchronistic and prescient, like an ORACLE,  as it is tuned into the collective unconscious. Movies come out in concert with astronomical/ astrological events. 

Earlier this week  May 22 VENUS was conjunct to ERIS, the DWARF PLANET, discovered in January 2005 at Palomar. ERIS is three times the size of PLuto. With the exception of some comets Eris is currently the most distant known natural object in the Solar system.

ERIS in GREEK MYTHOLOGY was a daughter of NYX, Night. She was the Goddess or Spirit- Daemona of strife, discord, contention and rivalry.  Every emotion in the ancient world was personified as a God or Goddess. That culture was extremely healthy because nothing was hidden. Gods raped, there was jealousy, revenge, spite, hatred, loss, justice. Just like a great soap opera, play or movie.  

Eris’s nature didn’t make her that welcome. She was the only Goddess not invited to the wedding of Peleus and Thetis. When she crashed the wedding anyway she was refused admittance and in a rage threw a golden apple amongst the Goddesses inscribed with “to the fairest.” Three Goddess tried to claim it for their own and this rivalry brought about the Trojan War a great tragedy.

Another form of the scorned or left out Goddess is told in the famous story of SLEEPING BEAUTY. All fairy tales evolve from myths.  Charles Perraul’ts version of Sleeping Beauty published in 1697 added a witch to an older tale.  There is a similar older tale where an elf-king Oberon appears as a DWARF, and explains that an angry fairy cursed him to that size.

 The Brothers Grimm’s tale  has 12 fairies, who were originally Goddesses, who were invited to a princess’s christening to offer gifts to her and the 13th one who was left out. She curses the child because she wasn’t invited. her gifts are scorned.

13 is the number associated with the moon. As there are always 13 lunar cycles per year.  We are starting to get a sense of the Goddesses and natural feminine lunar menstrual energy being the secret symbolism here.

SLEEPING BEAUTY tells how the Goddess now transformed into a witch is uninvited to the princess’s christening a Christian non pagan ceremony. Because she wasn’t invited,  -she curses that the daughter at 15 will prick herself with a spindle and die. A good fairy softens this curse so that the princess will not die but fall into a deep sleep for 100 years. 

In Walt Disney’s original animated version of SLEEPING BEAUTY the wicked fairy is personified by MALIFICENT,

feminine personified evil. The story follows the tradition. The spindles are hidden, the princess overly protected, but on her 16th birthday she returns and her fate is destined so she pricks her finger on the spindle. It is all a puberty metaphor . Prince Charming fights Maleficent in the form of a dragon, kills her. Hacks his way through a thorny forest and kisses the princess awake and everyone wakes up. Happy ending.

MALEFICENT is a new film starring Angelina Jolie, premiering May 30 2014.

What does this have to do with VENUS and ERIS?  

VENUS is love, ERIS is bitterness scorn,revenge, hatred, anger. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

Have you ever been scorned and felt like cursing the crap out of someone? You don’t have to be a fairy to curse someone. 

It’s all about intention and emotions, you have the power to harm or heal anyone with your feelings.

I have done it myself. I know it, it’s coming out in my book, in a past life where I was burned  at the stake as a witch and cursed that Jesuit Priest who condemned me who….

CURSES leave karmic paths, difficulty, disgrace, danger, pain and suffering traces in the patterns in your life. 

The conjunction of Love and HATE at 22 degrees ARIES is close to the SOUTH NODE now at 27 degrees ARIES.

JANUARY 1,  2014 Mars opposed that degree of ERIS  22 degrees 57 minutes of LIBRA 

the MH370 disappeared March 8th. Hmmm…

Mars was opposite  that degree on MARCH 29 moving RETROGRADE. 

JUPITER will square 22 degrees ARIES on June 13

JULY 11 MARS will OPPOSE 22 degrees ARIES.  

I find the symbolism of ERIS conjunct VENUS and the MALEFICENT character phenomenal

JOHNNY DEPP,  famous as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean Disney Movies is one of the most versatile actors in the business today. He has had a long and successful career as an actor from his early teen throb TV starring roles in 21 Jump Street in 1987, he has played a panoply of roles, with a huge  range of characters which he totally inhabits. From the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland by director  Tim Burton, with whom he ‘s collaborated with on many films including Edward Sissorhands which made him a movie star in 1990. He has played Hunter S. Thompson, Ed Wood, William Blake in Dead Man- one of my favourites, a small cult movie,Willie Wonka in Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, etc. I loved him in BLOW as well.

Johnny is of course a  mutable sign of GEMINI, thus very adaptable. That’s also why he looks very youthful for his age. Gemini’s are the eternal Peter Pan’s. Of course this makes him a man of dual natures, ambiguous, charming, intriguing.

He has the sign of LEO on his Ascendant which give him his regal leonine charisma. He is a King and he knows it, courageous, independent, passionate,he has power, daring, chutzpah, he is a natural leader. 

HIS MOON is in serious hard-working responsible Capricorn, known for being dry, unemotional. in the 6th house of work and service to others. He is a very complex character Johnny is.
