Beirut explosion astrology

The shocking deadly Beirut explosion August 4th has killed at least 135 people and injured thousands and caused millions of dollars of damages as many buildings were destroyed in the ancient downtown port. The explosion was felt in Cypress,150 miles 240 kms. away.

While Israel and Hezbollah initially blamed each other for the blast it was caused by internal willful negligence. About 2,750 metric tons of Ammonium Nitrate, a common Fertilizer, which is also a highly explosive material, had been stored at the port for the past six years “without preventive measures.” Court documents obtained by CNN show that the ammonium nitrate came to Beirut on a Russian-owned ship in 2013. Badri Daher, the Director of Lebanese Customs, warned for years of the “extreme danger” of leaving the ammonium nitrate at the port.

Let us look at the Astrology and what the planets have to say about the explosion. Astrology was traditionally used to predict disasters.

Beirut is a very ancient city, inhabited for at least 5,000 years. The City was founded as the Capital of Lebanon on April 25, 1920. I have used Noon as I couldn’t find a recorded time.

CHIRON the WOUNDED HEALER at 9 degrees ARIES is exactly conjunct to Beirut’s Natal Chiron as the city is 100 years old this year and having its 2nd Chiron Return, a time characterized by vulnerability and wounding. Chiron in Aries symbolizes a sudden reckless spontaneous firey wounding.

CHIRON is in hard T-square aspect

Chiron squares Natal PLUTO at 8 Cancer, indicating death {Pluto} near water. Pluto rules Fertilizers which was the cause of the explosion. Chiron squares Natal MOON at 14 Capricorn, historical buildings. Pluto rules secrets and power struggles.

URANUS the planet of shocks, explosions, and chaos is at 10 degrees TAURUS

A shock that shakes foundations and tangible valuable assets. Uranus makes a hard T-Square conjunct the SOUTH NODE of Fate at 9 Taurus and opposes the North Node in SCORPIO, which is rebirth, death, destruction transformation, finances, other people’s money.

URANUS squares Natal NEPTUNE at 12 degrees LEO.

Neptune in LEO is a seafaring leader; also, hubris, a projection of power, control and ego which is an illusion. Neptune rules smoke and Leo is a fire sign. There was a distinguishing red smoke from the explosion. Neptune rules debt, and the unfortunate explosion could seriously bankrupt a country that has seen its share of war over many years.

The Transiting Sun is conjunct Natal NEPTUNE in LEO, ignition of a hidden substance.

NEPTUNE in PISCES is opposite Natal VENUS in VIRGO

Neptune is the planet of denial, illusion, self-sabotage, secret enemies, water, oil, drugs, gasses and debt. Venus in Virgo is a love of order and accountability. Someone did not pay attention to the danger of the ammonium nitrate despite being warned numerous times.

NODES of FATE Square PART OF FORTUNE in PISCES

The North and South Nodes are Fated points in space. They are responsible for creating all eclipses. These Nodes square the Part of Fortune at 27 PISCES where we reap our rewards.

The JULY 4/5 LUNAR ECLIPSE at 13+ CAPRICORN conjunct MOON

The MOON is the family, the safe harbour, tradition, nurturing and food. Fertilizers are used to grow more food. The effects of an eclipse last 6 months.

MARS in ARIES

at 19 degrees, Mars is the planet associated with war and spontaneous fiery events. Mars squares Capricorn Moon and Trines Mercury the Messenger, Marketer and Trickster-thief in LEO and the M.C. the city’s highest reputation.

VENUS in GEMINI

Venus at 27 Gemini is conjunct to the North Node at 28 GEMINI and conjunct the North Star.

VENUS in GEMINI is another valuable messenger. Venus in Gemini has two points of view going on at once. The NORTH NODE is a fated point. The N Node and Venus conjunct Beirut’s CERES the Great Mother of the Earth. Chemical Fertilizers though commonly used, destroy Gaia/Ceres naturally balanced ecosystem.

I cannot help but feel that as COVID-19 as deadly as it seems, may also be a very spiritual message that a HIGHER INTELLIGENCE may be using to get the overly busy and consuming Western world to slow down. We saw how because of the Great Lockdown in March how quickly the pollution cleared, and animals returned to empty streets. Many people found it very serene to get back to basics and become self-sufficient working from home, baking sourdough bread and experiencing the pleasure of slow living again.

This explosion as unfortunate as it is to those affected can also be seen in the same way. As a message from the Living Spirit of Mother Earth about the dangers of using toxic chemicals and leaving them sitting around. There are tons and tons of dangerous chemicals, nuclear dump sites and the like all over the world. Was Fukushima ever stopped? No. Is oil still leaking in the Gulf of Mexico? most certainly. I see this disaster as another warning and wake up call from our Higher Selves to clean up our acts.

I am sending prayers to those killed and injured and their families. It will take many months for the displaced to be able to return home and years to rebuild the damages. I hope that those responsible will pay their karmic debts for being so negligent.

Woodstock 50th Anniversary and Chiron Return

Yes, it’s 50 years since the summer of love, sex drugs and rock and roll ruled. The Aquarian gathering from August 15, 16, 17th at Max Yasgur’s farm made history. With almost half a million people gathered near Woodstock, New York for a weekend of peace, love, probably the best gathering of rock and roll musicians ever and a show of loving anti-establishment solidarity was the largest peaceful gathering in history.

How much have the ideals of the 60’s peace and love and a dawning of a new age of Aquarius changed the world? As Crosby Stills and Nash sang “We can change the world.” 

“Woodstock was a music festival held August 15–18, 1969, which attracted an audience of more than 400,000. Billed as “an Aquarian Exposition: 3 Days of Peace & Music”, it was held at Max Yasgur’s 600-acre dairy farm in Bethel, New York, 43 miles (70 km) southwest of Woodstock.”

Woodstock 1969 and 50th anniversary Aquarian idealism

the 1st thing that stands out to me in the Woodstock 1969 concert is that it is in a rare All Planets Moving Direct phase. There are no Retrograde planets. 

The Summer of ’69 was the Summer of LOVE

Scott Mackenzie’s San Francisco and Summer of ’69 by Bryan Adams, Come Together by the Beatles.

It was an LEO event of course. The biggest, grandest, most dramatic, heartfelt childlike freely creative self-expressive energy.

The MOON always symbolizing the collective mood of the people and their dreams, the Unconscious, traveled from Virgo into Libra. The Moon crossed the South Node in Virgo @ 21 degrees, indicating a releasing from the servitude, tight, humble, perfectionist, hard-working energy of the past. EVerybody just want to be free. Pluto was also very close by. PLUTO on the Ascendant indicates the powerful meaning of Woodstock in the archetypal realms for an entire Generation. 

MERCURY at 13 Virgo in its ruling sign and squares Mars in Sagittarius

Mercury in Virgo is organized but in a square to Sagittarius-disorganized, gypsy-like and freewheeling. Mercury in Virgo creates memories. Virgo is the sign of the harvest, what was planted at Woodstock is a symbol of what can be sown and competed.The energy was idealistic but Sagittariusly naive. The Baby Boomers were anti-establishment and were opening up to Eastern Traditional Transcendental Meditation of the Maharishi and the Beatles led Indian music, yoga, and other idealistic philosophies, Gurdjieff, and Timothy Leary’s Tune In, Turn On, Drop Out  LSD philosophy and Ken Kesey’s Magic Bus, The Farm and communes were all the rage. Ram Das hadn’t even written Be Here Now. 

VENUS is on the Brightest star in the sky SIRIUS in CANCER

This star conjuncts the U. S. Sun. The values born at Woodstock are eternal ones. Sirius is connected to the myth of Isis and Osiris and resurrection.  With Love we can resurrect all things.

LILITH conjunct VENUS

indicates the women’s liberation energy that was in the air as this was Bra burning and the pill brought the beginning of sexual freedom for women. 

MARS in SAGITTARIUS

The sign of politics, action, aggression, truth, justice, religion, higher philosophy and international cultures shows up all over Woodstock. This is the anti-Vietnam War era. The performers were International too, The Who were British, Jimi Hendrix an American had moved to Britain and Carlos Santana brought Latin music into the Festival. The Impact of Woodstock transcended everything.

SATURN  at 8 degrees Taurus indicates the slow, natural, back to nature ideas. 

JUPITER conjunct URANUS in LIBRA

Show the radical, revolutionary, larger than life peace and love LIBRA energy. Venus rules Libra, the sign of the peacemaker and of the creativity and creative arts. These young people broke all the traditional rules and blew all the straight people’s minds. They demonstrated how half a million strangers could gather to enjoy music peacefully over 4 days. It wasn’t always perfect, but it worked.

CHIRON the WOUNDED HEALER at 6 degrees ARIES opposite Jupiter and Uranus in LINRA

There was a critical wound at this time. The Bay Boomer Hippies were trying to start a new way of life. URANUS and PLUTO had created the 60’s at 17-18 degrees VIRGO opposite Saturn in Pisces at that time. This alignment was great healing which shook the old traditional culture.

NEPTUNE in Scorpio trines the North Node in PISCES

Neptune rules Pisces and in Scorpio, the sign of sex, power, and the psyche brings that primal energy into the Pisces North Node of Peace, compassion, kindness, creativity, drugs, escapism and spirituality. It is beautiful. Idealism, drugs, and unconditional ideals ruled. 

now 2019 50 years later. What do we see?

CHIRON is returning to the Woodstock position in ARIES. It is a time of old emotional baggage coming up to be felt fully and mourned and learned from and released to renew.  We need to see the world through a new lens again.  Last month, original Woodstock producer Michael Lang’s plans for a 50th-anniversary festival fell through when the organizers failed to secure a venue and headliners including Jay-Z and Miley Cyrus dropped out. There’s that wounding. 

PLUTO in CAPRICORN trines Woodstock 69 

There is a deep soulful yearning to return and rebirth those times of peace, love, co-operation, and understanding, a simpler life where people got together physically to enjoy the same experience without guns and distrust. United in their love of music and peace and not opposed. 

SATURN is opposite VENUS and LILITH

WOW how things have gone backwards. Saturn the traditional Patriarchy has reigned in woman’s sexual freedoms in the U.S. Values have changed to more conservative and patriarchal ruled. Although some women are more liberated there are still old patriarchal control mechanisms in place. The revolution never went very deep. 

The NORTH NODE is conjunct to ’69 LILITH in CANCER

The North Node symbolizes the highest spiritual growth. LILITH in CANCER is women totally walking away from the patriarchal defined views of women as empty vessels, used to be pregnant and in the home. WOMEN must walk away from anything and everything that will restrict her. Women need to nurture, feed and love their own shadow power inside. Lilith is women’s freedom to create their own relationships, how they see it.  

Transitions NEPTUNE is opposite the MOON of ’69

Neptune rules the dreams, creativity spirituality and unconscious. The Moon symbolizes the mood of the people. People collectively would dissolve all the illusions to return back to the Garden as in Joni Mitchells Woodstock song. 
We are stardust, we are golden, million years old carbon, caught in the devil’s bargain and we’ve got to get ourselves back tp the Garden. 

URANUS in TAURUS will conjunct the 69 Saturn position

Uranus in Taurus conjuncts that spot will reignite a lot of getting back to the land communal living and set my soul free energy. Pot was illegal in 1969. It has recently been legalized in some states. Many will reject the AI, hi-tech world, and want hands-on, slow, real values again. The AQUARIAN Age is ruled by URANUS. The ideals of that time were seeded by Pluto and Uranus they still need to sprout and grow.

JOHNNY DEPP,  famous as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean Disney Movies is one of the most versatile actors in the business today. He has had a long and successful career as an actor from his early teen throb TV starring roles in 21 Jump Street in 1987, he has played a panoply of roles, with a huge  range of characters which he totally inhabits. From the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland by director  Tim Burton, with whom he ‘s collaborated with on many films including Edward Sissorhands which made him a movie star in 1990. He has played Hunter S. Thompson, Ed Wood, William Blake in Dead Man- one of my favourites, a small cult movie,Willie Wonka in Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, etc. I loved him in BLOW as well.

Johnny is of course a  mutable sign of GEMINI, thus very adaptable. That’s also why he looks very youthful for his age. Gemini’s are the eternal Peter Pan’s. Of course this makes him a man of dual natures, ambiguous, charming, intriguing.

He has the sign of LEO on his Ascendant which give him his regal leonine charisma. He is a King and he knows it, courageous, independent, passionate,he has power, daring, chutzpah, he is a natural leader. 

HIS MOON is in serious hard-working responsible Capricorn, known for being dry, unemotional. in the 6th house of work and service to others. He is a very complex character Johnny is. He is down to earth and responsible and a workaholic of sorts. The Moon squares his Jupiter in Aries, so he is an initiator a leader, an independent entity, a law unto himself.

Why can Johnny morph into any role?

Neptune rules addictions, so Johnny could get addicted to each role he plays. Also he is known to have had drug and alcohol issues. Saturn in late Aquarius indicates his discipline, his difficulties, he is repeating some past life lessons. His father had a strong influence on him for better or worse. When each person turns 50 they have what’s called their CHIRON RETURN you can see the symbol of Chiron- looks like a key on the outer ring in the same place as where it was when Johnny was born in PISCES. This return makes people feel vulnerable. All the original emotional baggage that they have had their entire life needs to be dealt with , finished, and let go of. It’s very freeing, and  indcates a new emotional lease on life. For Johhny this can mean letting go of old addictions and obsessions.

Johnny s about to have URANUS in Aries transiting to conjunct his Natal JUPITER in the 9th house, and PLUTO is also going to conjunct his natal moon next year. So he is involved very personally in the major URANUS PLUTO SQUARES that are transforming the world in a deeply personal way. The Moon in a man’s chart represents a woman so I feel Johnny will remarry and may also become a father again. 

SATURN in Scorpio and the North NODE is also about to conjunct his Natal NEPTUNE in his 4th house, the house of roots, privacy. Saturn always tests, matures, this can bring commitments, responsibilities, to his dreams.  It could be a project Johnny wants to run himself, direct or produce,something which is charitable and helps out other artists, actors or musicians. It  will also mean notoriety and that Johnny is in the right place. He can move or buy a new dream home at this time.
