Victimisation or transcendence?
Many of the traditional astrological interpretations of the Sedna myth focus on the unconscious actions which led her to her transcendence and her father’s role in this process, emphasising the victimisation and sacrificial interpretations of the planet. However, interpretations which focus on Sedna’s attempts to stay on the boat of reality, and calling her a victim, forget that she transcended to godhood through this process. Transcendence is not victimisation; and the two may only be confused if we desperately hang onto the old reality.
Astrological meaning
One of the case studies in my book Sedna Consciousness is Edgar Cayce, the father of modern wholistic medicine. We get a hint from him that Sedna combines heredity, evolutionary change and spiritual development into a unitary worldview.
And from the myth we get the idea that it relates to various unconscious experiences which come from our heredity, that will push us to a painful crisis of transcendence, where we are forced to let go of our old spiritual framework and rise to a new consciousness.
Legendary humanistic astrologer Dane Rudhyar posited that there were three different levels on which each planet could operate depending on the evolution of our consciousness. The vast majority of us are at the beginners’ level and we will manifest the energy of Sedna from a position of being buried in the dysfunctional swamp of density.
At the intermediate level, we tire of density and the grief it creates, and we start a spiritual journey to get out of the swamp. This is the key to working with Sedna: she wants to get us on a spiritual path or recognise the spiritual path that we’re on. Then she hits us with transcendent crises, experiences which force us to let go and rise above them, resulting in a huge growth to a new level of consciousness. There is no choice with these crises and the more we try and solve them the more we will get hurt.

Canada Elections 2019
Canada’s Federal Election for the Next Prime Minister is October 21.

Once seen as a progressive Liberal leader Trudeau has been implicated in a serious of scandals that have since been implicated in a series of scandals. The SNC-Lavalin scandal which found a government watchdog claimed Trudeau violated ethics law by trying to influence his attorney general to stop the criminal prosecution of SNC-Lavalin, a large Liberal Party-linked engineering firm. Trudeau apologized, saying his motivation was to spare Canadian jobs. Two senior Cabinet ministers quit over the scandal, along with the prime minister’s senior political adviser. He has not followed through on promises to Indigenous people by backing Big Oil, Alberta and not carrying about the Environment.
Then there were the revelations that Trudeau dressed in brownface and blackface two decades ago. He apologized for not being racist but didn’t think it was at the time when no one else did either. His Liberal views have put language laws in which many see as too controlling.
Former President Obama endorsed Trudeau on twitter on October 16 recently saying”I was proud to work with Justin Trudeau as President. He’s a hard-working, effective leader who takes on big issues like climate change. The world needs his progressive leadership now, and I hope our neighbors to the north support him for another term.”
But despite the twin scandals, the Conservative Scheer has struggled to capitalize. Ontario, the province with the largest population, where vote-rich Toronto, the largest city by far in Canada is anUber International Liberal City but is also 51% visible minorities who are often conservative in nature. The provincial Conservative government is deeply unpopular because of cuts to health care and education and stinging from Canada’s version of Donald Trump Doug Ford.
Sheer has also spoken out against same-sex marriage and the anti-abortion movement in Canada has also reared its ugly head. Canada has had guaranteed free abortions since the 1970’s guaranteeing women freedom and sovereignty over their own bodies and their lives. Sheer is also plagued with the revelation that he has a dual American Canadian citizenship because his father was American. He is the Donald Trump of Canadian politics and I am sure most Canadians do not want that.
Because of the tight race Canada’s other major party the socialist or left-leaning New Democratic Party and its leader, 40-year-old serving Jagmeet Singh, is winning over many of millennial voters who voted for Trudeau’s Liberals in 2015. Singh is a turban-wearing Sikh leader of the New Democratic Party since 2017 and as the Member of Parliament (MP) for the riding of Burnaby South in Vancouver since 2019.
Canada’s Green Party led by Elizabeth May is a widely respected leader which could also make some gains with the current Environmental first issues being front and centre in the news now.
Vote splitting will guarantee whoever wins will not hold a Majority Government because of a recurring surge by Quebec separatists.
There will be a coalition government between Liberals and NDP most likely. If Sheer is elected he would be the first American Prime Minister in Canada! Yikes.

Gord Downie. Life and death Astrology
Gord Downie singer-songwriter leader of Canadian band The Tragically Hip has died October 17 at 53 of brain cancer. The band never made it big beyond the 49th parallel but The Hip has been the quintessential Canadian rock band for 30 years. Their last cross-Canada tour in 2016 after Downie announced that he had been diagnosed with a particularly deadly type of brain cancer ended with 11 million Canadians watching their final concert live.
Outpourings of sympathy for Downie’s family and four children came from Prime Minister Trudeau who was in tears as well as from indigenous leaders and fans. The flag on the Peace Tower in Ottawa Canada’s Capital will be flown at half-mast until sunset on the day of the funeral or memorial service of the late Gord Downie. Canadian’s feel like they have lost a Canadian hero.

“It can’t happen here.” Spiritual protection.
I am sending blessings to those who were killed at a Mosque outside of Quebec City in Canada Sunday night. It’s shocking for us Canadians to see this kind of gun violence here where guns are not easy to get and not part of our culture. This has obviously been triggered by Trump’s anti-Terrorist stance. Until we know who did it we can’t say. Are they angry Americans? French-Canadians? White Conservatives? suprematist?
Prime Minster Trudeau called this a Terrorist act against Muslims. That is a truth and it helps people to see that all acts of severe violence are terrorist acts whoever perpetrates them.
Ironically, Trudeau had just promised that he would take all refugees into Canada that Trump refuses in spite of religion saying that “Diversity is Canada’s greatest strength.” He has offered free housing temporarily to those detained at borders and airports. I have always felt proud that Canada has held open its doors to all refugees, but in this day and age and divisive times, obviously, some people do not agree with him. This was that message.
QUEBEC TERRORISTS
There have been many hate crimes against mosques in Quebec over the last 5 years. This is doubly ironic as Trudeau’s ancestry is mainly French-Canadian. The French, who were Canada’s first immigrants, fought the British for control of Canada over many years. The battle ended on the Plains of Abraham in Quebec City, on September 13, 1759, when the British won.
Canadians have had a history with their own home-grown Terrorism from French- Canadian separatists, the FLQ from 1963-1970. They set off 95 bombs, kidnapping a British diplomat and a Canadian cabinet minister and murdered him. Prime Minister P. E. Trudeau. Justin’s’ father declared Martial Law in Canada, the only time it has ever been used in Peace times. This was very controversial. The kidnappers negotiated an exile to Cuba.
I really don’t like to see this happening in my country especially or any country. When the shadows of hatred are opened up they gain a lot of power.

Bill Maher pointed out on his show, that right-wing GOP’s should not oppose taking in refugees as everyone came to the U.S. escaping religious persecution and seeking freedom.Maybe it was Stephen Colbert who pointed out that the new americans then stole the land away and destroyed and conquered the Indigenous Peoples. This is the plan so of course they are scared that someone else would do the same back.
He then pointed out that Islam is the root cause of Islamic State Terrorists, we cannot forget that. ISIL wants to impose SHARIA law which originates from Islam, even if it does not represent the original view of Mohammed. Not all Muslims are terrorists of course. According to a poll 6 million Turkish would agree with Islamic state values. Their religion and culture is much more tribal and repressive than the wests, in nature anyways. They can’t step out very easily. They never had a reformation in Islam. They really need that now. They all worship the same belief of Allah as God.
A Muslim man on FB last night pointed out that ISIL is a Muslim problem and that Muslims should deal with it. ISIL has killed more Muslims than any other source, and he cautioned the West to not be so liberal as to separate the two. I went to comment and then lost his comment. I wanted to thank him for being so rational and taking responsibility.
ISIL extremists cannot be separated from Islam because it expresses Islamic values. These are not the values of any free democratic western country. Islam’s main tenet is total control and repression of women, they are chattel, cattle and have no rights or freedoms whatsoever. I find that the most threatening. Christians used to believe this doctrine to then they’ve grown beyond this Neanderthal thinking.
Why can’t intelligent people see this? Why don’t women see Islam as a threat to all women? And all orthdox or fundamentalist beliefs?
Western culture is also decadent, so this is a very complex issue. Women in the west are still treated as inferior and used as sexual objects for men. Muslims also see women as sexual objects but cover up their women for the same reason orthodox Jews do. It all stems from men’s fear of women’s sexuality and power. Women are stronger and will always outperform a man sexually. That is a biological fact. Men always feel inadequate sexually from a dominator role model. If they worship the feminine there is no need to repress women.
Be compassionate yes, but all things must be considered in this day and age. Bring in thousands of refugees yes there are many women and children and elders. They will think more highly of Westerners more likely if you treat them with kindness. But they do need to abide by the Western liberal laws established in Canada.. It is pretty logical. We will not bow down to their god or ways of doing things and they should not expect us to. We will tolerate others co-existing with us with secular religious beliefs in public. You can go to your mosques and keep your religious values in your own home and you must respect others religious beliefs. Your beliefs do not reflect on public school sex education. The Lord’s prayer was taken out of public schools many years ago. No one should be marked by their religion. That isn’t so hard to do is it?
If you are compassionate out of white guilt, then you many be guilty and acting out of “idiotic” compassion.” At some point compassion, a Pisces ideal, is really self-destructive co-dependent martyrdom. It is an addiction and it has been the cultural role-model for 2,000 years in Christianity and is promoted as a romantic ideal, and is rampant.

Canada is set to take in 25,000 Syrian refugees. Canada is a generally tolerant country who has always been open to many immigrants, they need them. We have hardly any people. But there are boundaries that must be upheld in order to honor the values of freedom that we have chosen. They will not be devalued by future generations. Canadians need to do what the Dutch did. You want to come to this country and benefit? Sure we will help you but there is a cost. Majority Muslim refugees have not lived in cultures with different belief systems. It is foreign to them.
All Abrahamic religions believe that they are TOP DOG. TOP GOD.
How can that belief system ever respect and tolerate others? It is the very essence and root of the problem of Zionism, the Catholic inquisition and now these Terrorists.
All Muslim refugees and any refugees must agree to abide by our liberal CANADIAN laws which we voted for.
1. Equal rights for women, if your religious laws state otherwise -you will have to stop doing that and receive a cultural re-education.
2. Equal rights for gays. I know your bible considers this a sin, as do some Christians, well then those belief systems must be left at immigration if you want to pass through the gates.
3. Legal abortions. If your bible says this is immoral. You will have to change your belief systems to integrate.
3. You must tolerate other peoples religious views. None is superior to another. This is a secular society you can practice your own religion in your home but not in public, no public displays of any religious affiliations should be allowed.
4. children are also not your property to abuse.
5. No female genital mutilation. – sorry that is torture and manipulating women to be docile.
6. No macho-honour killings. That is murder.
7. No indoctrinating your children to hate anyone who is not Muslim.
8. No jihad allowed. That is murder.
If the majority of the country wants these freedoms for women, gays and secularism . Then every one who comes to that country must agree to live by those rules. Very simple. I don’t know why people think this is racist it isn’t. It is the rites that is always growing and expanding.
Mocking Jay is a big current hit. Hollywood is always leading us. The woman heroine fights for freedom against totalitarianism. We are in the same state.

Cardinal Cross in effect, Ottawa shooting by Tara Greene
I am so sad to see the terrible shootings and innocent lives taken in both Ottawa and Quebec in the last few days in my country. Condolences to the families of the slain especially to young Corporal Nathan Cirrillo. I will just look at the chart of the October 22 Ottawa shooting and the city’s founding chart.
I have the chart of Ottawa as a city founded on September 29 1827.
The October 22 occurred just before 10:00 am at Canada’s National War Memorial in Ottawa where Corporal Nathan Cirrillo was shot by 32-year-old Canadian Michael Zehaf- Bibeau, a Muslim, with a previous police record. The shooter ran into the Parliament buildings where he fired 30-50 shots before being killed by Seargent at Arms Kevin Vickers ,a veteran. Canada’s capital city was on lock down for 12 hours. It made International news. It is now believed that the shooter acted alone and is not connected to a previous shooting in Montreal by a young man who was also Muslim.
Just wanted to have a quick look at whats going on in Ottawa. It was also under the Solar eclipse beams October 23.
You can see from the charts that the planets Pluto and Uranus are in the CARDINAL CROSS effect.
PLUTO in transit is sitting a couple of degrees away from Ottawa’s Natal Neptune at 13 + degrees Capricorn in the City’s own 12th house. What does this mean?
PLUTO
rules death, Plutocracy, fascism, power, Terrorists, control, secrets, war, slander, violence, terrorism, spying, armies. Pluto in Capricorn is literally corporate structures, historical buildings.
NEPTUNE
rules religion, and the 12th house is the house of hidden enemies, illusion, delusion, fantasy, addictions, drugs, oil, and by liaison oil rich countries.
Pluto is also opposite to Ottawa’s natal Saturn at 19 + degrees Cancer in the 6th house but on the cusp of the 7th.
SATURN
is also death, limitations, restrictions, order, time, testing, obstacles. Saturn is Father time, all Patriarchal religions and structures, the army, defenses, all organizations, well-disciplined structure.
Saturn in Cancer is the history of the family, the country, nurturing, emotional safety, home.
PLUTO in Capricorn in conjunction to Neptune and square to Saturn has caused the destruction of the feeling of safety and national security in this country. Canada has always felt SAFE.
URANUS in ARIES is in the 2nd house of resources, money, values. URANUS is exactly square to Ottawa’s Natal Neptune in Capricorn and is also square to Saturn in Cancer forming a T- square.
URANUS is chaos, radicalism, change, revolution, freedom, electronics, the internet.
Uranus is also widely opposed to Mercury in Libra which rules communications, and Jupiter in Libra which is International peace, justice, education, religion, fairness,which are in the 8th house of others money, resources, death, inheritance.
URANUS and PLUTO form a GRAND CARDINAL cross to Ottawa’s natal planets which evoked these sad realities at this time. These two planets which created the 60’s have just changed the safety game and the way our National Security will work from now on.
I have heard that PM HARPER has rushed through an undemocratic surveillance law while in the “terror” of these single lone ” self- radicalized” shooters. I cannot stand that Harper and his oil tar sand billionaire environmental murderers and his fundamentalist Christian beliefs are exploiting this. He has personally ruined Canada’s once honorable reputation as a non violent non-intervention country..
Tsk Tsk Canada being the U.S. hand maiden and blow job giver. Canada used to stand alone. This smacks of the same bullying and stealing of democracy as is happening in the U.S.
Canada has always been a nice country. We do always say I am sorry even if it isn’t our fault. We don’t allow citizens to own guns except by registry. We’ve had universal health care for 60 years.
Canada has always had an open door policy to refugees and allows 300,000 new immigrants into the Country every year. Some of that is a good thing. I do not wish to see democratic rights infringed upon because of this “opportunity” to create a further police state to protect citizens freedoms. Protecting Peace loving, law-abiding, integrated to Canadian values citizens. These groups,whoever they may be, Jewish, Christian, Muslim, anti-abortionists whatever that state that they will kill and terrorize innocent people who are not -whatever their belief systems are have no place living in Canada. Canada must not support and aid the very people who wish to destroyed peace, freedom and sanity in the name of liberalism and equal rights. It is feeding a cancer. Also the Conservatives downsized the budget for mentally ill persons. The times have changed and require different responses. It is very complex.
I wish we could start all over with a totally secular country and policy. Like John Lennon’s song Imagine. Religion would be a quaint antiquated archaeology.
Just as the Dutch did when Van Gogh’s grandson was killed by a radical Muslim. Holland in its Liberal sanity immediately set rules to every person immigrant and otherwise that if they did not want to abide by the freedoms that the Dutch wished to live by such as gay rights and women’s rights, sexual and drug legality, and if they did not speak the Native tongue they would have to be deported. It is simple straightforward logical. As you would discipline a child with proper behaviours.
Canada has to decide what it stands for. What its values are. What does the True North strong and free mean these days?

I was watching Kimmel last night. Its was quite amazing to see former President Clinton, himself no stranger to scandal, say that Toronto Mayor Rob Ford ” has absolutely destroyed all stereotypes about Canadians.” Thanks Rob. What can we do to repay you? All PR is not necessarily good PR.
Are tourists thronging to Toronto looking for crack pipes in every alley now?
I predicted that Mayor Rob Ford {who I absolutely detested from before the time he was elected mayor} will be arrested, busted and put in jail and not be around for re-election as Toronto mayor later in 2014.
I am not Patriotic but thanks Rob for ruining Canada’s squeaky clean, NICE folks of the world reputation. I was kinda proud of that in an aw shucks Canadian sorta back bacon way.
You aren’t a real Canuck anyway Rob Ford -you never say SORRY, or eh.
Between your renegade druggy, swearing, poor white trash in rich fatness persona and Conservative Right wing PM Stephen Harper, Canada’s reputation has gone down the tubes as fast as the Alberta Tar Sands has tarnished our ecological and peace maker status.
Well so it goes as old Kurt Vonnegut used to say.
Clinton was in fine form. I have always admired his persona and his totally symmetrical face. He looks better now than he used to, he’s become a vegan.
I live in this embarrassing town now. It’s actually quite a great city in a lot of ways. As for name destiny. Toronto, or TRAWNA as the natives say, is nicknamed Hogtown. And Rob Ford sure looks like the literal mayor of hogtown. So be careful what you refer to yourself as.
