Out of the broom closet,witches

I am officially and publicly out of the broom closet.Yes I am a witch, a white witch. I proclaimed this on TV yesterday. Halloween or Samhain is an ancient Pagan/wiccan celebration honoring the close of the old year and it is New Years. It is the day when the veil between the worlds is thinnest. NOvember 1 is All saints Day or the Day of the dead. I was also initiated as a Green Witch by Susun Weed at her goat farm in Woodstock New York in 1987. 

Archetypal wicked witch, hag, crone.

Wicca or wiccan is a modern term for ancient pagan spiritual beliefs which honoured the Great Mother the earth and the Divine Feminine and  participated in the turning of the wheel of the year.It is a non-hierarchical, pantheistic religion. Although I hesitate to use the term religion as we associate it with organized Patriarchal religions. 

The Catholic Inquisition which initially was against all heretics, the Cathars in particular, terrified pagans for hundreds of years.  The Grand Inquisitors ruled from 1200 until the mid-19th century. The Malleus Maleficarum written in 1486 stated that witchcraft was to blame for bad weather. This charge was levelled mainly at women, which according to this text “all witchcraft comes from carnal lust which is in women insatiable”. 

Over the course of 300 years in Europe estimates as high as nine million people were accused of witchcraft, 80% were women were burned at the stake, sadistically tortured and their children were forced to watch them burn. This was the women’s Holocaust. This was worse than Hitler and the Catholic Church is wholly to blame for it. 

 

I remember being burned at the stake and the  Jesuit Priests who convicted me. The one who convicted me in the past turned out to be my ex-husband in this life I later discovered. One re-appeared as one of the realtors who tricked me into selling my house out from under me years ago. It’s a long story,and is part of the book I am still writing.

HOLOTROPIC BREATHWORK

I experienced a full memory of this past life during a Holotropic Breathwork workshop years ago. Holotropic Breathwork was invented by Dr. Stanislav Grof following his experiments using LSD in psychiatry in the 70’s. It is a breathing and music aided psych0-spiritual healing journey which induces a non-ordinary state of reality experience. Most people remember their birth and pre-births in this state. Some people remember death experiences. A number of women at this specific workshop stated that they also remembered their past life as witches and being tortured. 

I had been very angry at the Priest who sentenced me. I cursed him for his ignorance and for so wickedly and arrogantly destroying my life as well as the other women who were also being tortured. My heart broke to leave my husband and children. This was not the first time that I had been serving The Goddess and my life had been destroyed because of it. I also remember being a High Priestess of the Goddess in Greece years ago and having that be overrun an destroyed by  hostile invaders.

Those 7 million women who had been tortured in the past have  come back into this life to take back their power and to reinstate the worship of the Great Mother. That is why the pagan Goddess worshipping communities, websites, workshops, and courses are increasingly  popular now. I am working on launching Priestess workshops and online Moon lodges now.

In the West where women are largely well-educated, relatively good wage-earners, and have freedom {to some extent{ within this culture, we all now must proudly announce where our ancient soul reverence belongs.

It used to be shameful to be called a witch. The stereotype of the old hag, or crone, depicted as an ugly old woman with hooked nose and warts and wild hair, and the fairy tales about the Wicked Old Witch, eating children are a gross misrepresentation and total cultural propaganda.

Elder women were wise women and healers. whose knowledge as midwives and who also attended to those dying were respected and honoured. They had status. 

In a culture which worships youth and not the status of being a wise elder, women need to also embrace this aspect. We are all inevitably ageing. The masculine type of pursuit of immortality is rooted in the false belief that we are our bodies and not immortal souls. The word crone is equated with witches and it carries the same popular stigma. I like the term Crone because it simply means chronos, Time, seniority, maturity, and implies wisdom from living so long.

In my mind if you are older but not wiser that is why you would want to avoid being called a crone and not acknowledged for your wisdom. Language is also empowering. A  large part of Feminism  pointed out that reframing and respelling, sounds Magical doesn’t it?  changes the meaning of a word.

Let’s Re-Spell this.

I put forward that the word CHRONE spelled with the additional H be used proudly to represent a woman past -menopause. That could be any age from the late 40’s. It means a wise women, an elder worthy of respect and honored for her experience and wisdom. We can revere aging as beautiful.

I had been saying I am ready to fully embrace my own power. I was sitting in front of the TV Tuesday night when a commercial came on for the CTV Morning show called Canada A.M. In my mind I said I want to be on that show. I stated that intention clearly.

Wed. October 28, I get an email from a producer at Canada A.M. asking me if I would be interested in being on the show for Halloween talking about wicca and witches. They gave me some homework to do to help them prep videos which I was happy to do.  watch the video below.

THE VEIL BETWEEN THE WORLDS 

Get in touch with your past lives tonight when the veil between the worlds is thinnest. Do a breathing exercise and meditation tonight. Bring out your crystals, create a sacred space. Set up a bowl made of dark opaque material to scry on. This is the night of connecting with your dead ancestors for their wisdom and guidance.

I will be out at an event this evening at SOHO HOUSE doing readings tonight.  Then I will be home doing ceremony and scrying.

Galactic Center message, comet Lovejoy

There is a galactic message from the Great Mother, appearing as an asteroid {aka dwarf-planet} in the skies above, along with a spectacular green comet LOVEJOY as we close out 2014. The real astronomical cycles are also symbolic archetypal messages.

What does this mean? Kind of like the Queen’s New Years message on a much higher cosmic level. You have to decipher how to get it. It’s a DIY. I will help you. 

Ceres, is the Roman name for the Great Earth Mother Goddess, called Demeter in the Greek myths, she is the living symbol of NATURE herself. She was the the first discovered asteroid on, January 1, 1801. It’s almost her 214th birthday since we have reawakened to her  primal cosmic presence again. Name destiny has brought her archetypal significance into our awareness. 

Astronomers re-classified her as a dwarf planet as she is the largest of the asteroids. I don’t like the sound of the great mother being dwarfed in any form.

Ceres is on the GALACTIC CENTER exactly on New Year’s Eve 2014 at 26 degrees 52 minutes of Sagittarius.

Physically the G.C. is a massive source of radiation, specifically infra-red radiation This is related to the root chakra, primal fears, the infrared energy is felt in our subconscious minds.  The G.C. is the broadcast system for the cosmos, it is here when you tune in and meditate that you hear God/ Goddess/the great creator/Central Cosmic Intelligence speaking through your open mind. It is very easy to tune in. Just simply turn your internal satelite dish to it. C lear your mind and heart and ask to learn and know.

This is Sagittarius territory and Saturn is newly in the sign of HIGHER LEARNING now with a short pause in mid June to mid September  2015 to do the final soul cleanup camp in the last degrees of Scorpio. Then it will be all serious, focussed, real spiritual lessons until  2017 with no drugs needed.

That is also Saturn square Neptune, coming up now and for the next few months and again in the fall. Addictions, reality, dreams, the ineffable. 

This is the great Maw, void, Cosmic VAGINA, black hole, Vesica Pisces, the opening of XIBALBA to the Mayans, “place of fear and death and rebirth.” 

RECEIVE your GALACTIC MESSAGE from the Great MOTHER on New Year’s Eve

DO THIS on the very last day of 2014 or on New Years Day.

Set aside some time to rest and reflect. Create an alter, a ceremonial space. Use candals, sandalwood or sage, or smudge.

Go out and look at it the MILKY WAY if it is visible where you are. The great rift is easy to see in higher clear unpolluted light areas. Or imagine it.

 

Breathe, open your  heart and send your breath down from your lungs, down your spine, and down your legs through your feet and into the earth and down past the rocks to the fiery core of the physical earth mother. You need to feel very rooted and very grounded first.  

Give thanks to Mother earth. Send her your love and wait till she answers you back. She will. Then pull all the fiery energy up with your intention from the earth’s core, up through the soles of your feet  and through your spine up through your 6th and 7th chakras, at the top of your head and send it out to the Galactic Center. It should only takes moments for this to happen.

ENTER THE CENTER

Then tune into the infrared radio waves emitting from the Black Hole. That is home. This is where all life was birthed from in the Galaxy. The vagina/ Galactic center  is the cosmic symbol that everything is born of the Feminine. It is the most sacred space, this darkness, and it is to be the highest honored, respected and reverenced, the most Holy of spaces. 

Relax, feel the safety, allow your consciousness and your  heart to hear open and receive the Great Mother’s Divine message for you for your new year. 

 Ask the GREAT GODDESS to give her your earthly/cosmic mission and directions on how you can serve the Divine Feminine fully.

AUSPICIOUS OMENS 

Another auspicious omen is the presence of COMET LOVEJOY  appearing again visible to the naked eye with binocs as a beautiful GREEN COMET with a long tail. It reminds me of a  Quetzal Bird the famous phoenix like bird of the Mayan indians.  

Traditionally comets were always considered harbingers of bad omens. But again NAME DESTINY wins. The cosmic banner message in the sky above, to us here below, says

LOVE JOY

in green, the color of the HEART CHAKRA.  The emerald-green ray is associated with the 4th chakra of Archangel RAPHAEL.  The green also signifies the Hindu/Tibetan Green Tara, Goddess of MERCY. 

Comet lovejoy will continue to be visible for the first two weeks in January.

These are both totally auspicious cosmic signs from the heavens.  I got pregnant with our daughter, who was somewhat of a miracle baby when Comet Hale-Bopp was very close to the earth in 1997. My husband is an artist and when I was pregnant with our daughter Leah in 1997-1998 he did a whole series of comet paintings.

The Divine Feminine Goddess Archetype is returning and both women and men need to listen to Her wisdom in your daily life. She exists in a multitude of  forms. In your astrology chartshe is  represented by  4 main asteroid Goddess, Ceres/Demeter to the Greeks,  Athena, Vesta and Juno/Hera in Roman, as Lilith the Dark Moon Goddess she is like Kali the destructive one,and as  Eris the newly discovered minor planet of Discord. LILITH- the First Woman, pre Eve, NATURE herself , the rejected independent destroying Goddess, has returned to bring us lessons about respecting women or enduring her fury. She has been prominent in the last year as she’s been dancing cheek to cheek with Jupiter in Cancer, Notice lots of flooding in the world?

The past NEW MOON in Leo Aug 6 had Jupiter conjunct Lillith in Cancer and Athena goddess of war and wisdom also flanking  Jupiter with CERES the MOther goddess archetype nearby in Leo.

VESTA, the Goddess of focus, divine service and sexual healing,  was exactly conjunct the Sun and Moon. JUNO the Goddess of marriage,partnership and commitment  was opposite Vesta in Aquarius. Career or family dilemma’s?

The Goddess is known by  hundreds of names and attributes. She was and is the original human and spiritual connection for every human who  ever lived. We are all born of woman. SHE has been dormant for the last 5,000 years as Patriarchy moved in and took over religion society and culture of the world and sought to suppress HER.  Goddess worshippers were forced to go underground as the Catholic Church tortured and burned nine million mainly women, children and men they suspected of being “witches” which meant Goddess worshippers, pagans,  midwives, herbalists, or any old women whose property the Church wanted, for over 300 years in Europe and in America.

I remember being burned at the stake with my husband and two children watching me. It was horrible. Most people alive today have reincarnated and unconsciously remember their torture and the hate crimes inflicted by the Church on them. That is why they have largely turned away from the church’s doctrine and practice freedom from organized religion and  tolerance for gays. Doing so means we are spiritually evolving from the past. The Divine Mother Archetype never passed out of cultural worship with pagans, and indigenous Native cultures everywhere. In Peru,  she is known as PACHAMAMMA, the Earth, even though most Indigenous people were converted to Christianity. The Goddess is well known in India, as Shakti, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Kali and many more. In China, she is known as Qwan Yin Goddess of Mercy. In Tibet she is worshipped as Tara in her many aspects or as Dakini’s- female Goddesses. She is White Buffallo  Woman, Pele in Hawaii, The Fairy Godmother and the evil witch in Fairy Tales.

As Demetra George pointed out in her groundbreaking book Asteroid Goddesses, the Goddess went into her own DARK MOON phase, where she removed Herself from consciousness for the last two precession’s of  Constellation cycles, from Taurus the Age of Bull Worship, to Aries the worship of the Ram- the Jewish people’s symbol, to Pisces in the last 2,000 years, Christs’ symbol is the fish.

We need to understand their Feminine strengths, powers and how they affect us personally.  Most people are just learning about them in  astrology. CERES the Great Mother in LEO also shows us the way to honour the LIGHT,the Source, that we all have. We all came from Heaven it was called our mother’s body. CERES  is nurturing, home, food, the Mother sacrificing for her daughter/children.

JUNO opposite that,is the wife of Zeus {Hera} who he constantly betrayed and cheated on.  As such she is till unconsciously angry and her anger needs to be brought into out hearts {LEO} honored, and made whole, healed and become confident again.
