January 1, new year’s inspiration

I spent Dec 31st evening at a party at a fancy restaurant in downtown Toronto. It was an interesting very mixed age crowd. I read tarot for people from 16- 62 years old. That is not something you see often. It was a pretty low-key New Years energy as I thought it would be under that Void of course Moon. There wasn’t that much traffic either.

What I love so much about my work is that I get to meet so many different  people and get to hear so many very intimate details about their lives. Some people have many difficulties to deal with; cancer or infertility, others have deep losses they are grappling with, of parents or spouses. Some are spiritual seekers cleverly disguised as “ordinary people”.  Most commonly people feel dissatisfied about their lives and don’t know how to trust their instincts to be able to make changes. But as different as their lives and struggles are, we all have the same things in common. I am just so touched that people open up so easily though the medium of the tarot. I feel most humbly honored and touched to be able to advise them, even at a party, which to many seems like “entertainment.”  I can sense the shock when they know I have honed into a very deep shadow part of themselves. I also like to give people hope, inspiration and optimism. I do this if I see it in the cards and if I can help them navigate a new more positive direction in their lives. 

JANUARY is not just the root word of the  Roman God JANUS, the two-faced God. Janus presided over the beginning and ending of conflict, hence war and peace. The doors of his temple were open in time of war, and closed to mark the peace. As a god of transitions, he had functions pertaining to birth and to journeys and exchange. Janus was invoked during the year for every new ceremony. 

I came home and thanked and swept the old 2015 energies out the door and welcomed in 2016’s new energies. I smudged my house clearing the energies and invoking new ones. I started off the year with a bit of champagne, I am not much of a drinker. I toasted with my family. We ate this amazing Caramel salted chocolate cake which we had because it was my husband’s birthday New Years eve. I also had a great chat on FB with my cousin Carol who lives in Palenque Mexico.

ACE of PENTACLES by Tara Greene 

My first Tarot card on day 1 of 2016. For a New Year’s day divination I pulled the Ace of Pentacles from the Tarot of Metamorphosis. How perfect is that? I couldn’t upload the picture because my phone is acting screwy. I couldn’t find it in an online search. So I decided that I needed to create my own based on a similar image. Necessity is the mother of all creation. Voila. I like it, Computers are so great. I will keep this up. I am so inspired. 

The Ace of Disks or Pentacle is the root and pure potential of all physical things. The acorn, the seed, egg, foetus, spec, mote, glint, spark, big bang.   How perfect as an image of a New Year?

Virgin Birth, Divine love child conception

Congratulations, we have just been impregnated with a Divine Love Child, world. Celebrate.

The Venus Occultation by the Moon December 7/8 was an occult love affair, a sacred and divine marriage, an alchemical symbol which opens our heart chakras and spirit wombs symbolized as an Immaculate conception, a Virgin, a conception through parthenogenesis of Divine Goddess Love energy.  We do so need this Divine Love energy now.

The Venus and Moon occultation looked just like a human ovum being fertilized by a  single sperm. “As above so below.” 

An occultation of one planet by another is just like an eclipse. In this case the two most Feminine planets have joined their energies. This is a mother and child reunion,  Demeter and Persephone reunited in the Ancient Myths. The Moon, symbol of the Divine Celestial Mother, the womb, the unconscious, our emotions and the people on general will be blessed by this loving nurturing energy. Moon dew is soma or a magical elixir which combines with Venus, the Goddess of Love,  Inanna, Diana, Kwan Yin, Green Tara, she has thousands of names, to bring healing, compassion, psychic insights, and Feminine energy and wisdom into the foreground. The Great Mother’s energy is indeed on the rise.

With all the crazy energies going on in the world my heart has ached the last few day has yours? This is your heart chakra opening wider in synchronicity with this Venus/Luna eclipse. Feb 10 and 11th are two of the most fertile, expansive, rich and emotionally rewarding days this month. 

GREAT DAYS TO CONCEIVE. Planting seeds on all levels. It’s all about Divine Timing.

There are very supportive planetary energies from a CANCER Moon, where the Moon is totally at home, in her favourite place, the womb, the cave, a shell, a humble abode. Cancer is of course the sign of the Mother, nurturing, emotional security. Not necessarily a crabby mom, just protecting her fragility.

If you are trying to get pregnant I know from my experience of trying to conceive our daughter Leah for months, that it is agonizing month after month when nothing happens, no conception, your blood flows, it’s failure. There is a backlog of grief, loss, fear and despair sets in. You need to be clear and free, crying is good, your tears like the sea washes away the pain.

Moon opposes PLUTO and VENUS in Capricorn between 3:05 am EST= 9:20 am.

PLUTO VENUS is very powerful, concrete, IT’s REAL. Real Love, Real staying power. Really serious.
