Sagittarius Lunar Eclipse and 9/11

The Penumbral SOUTH NODAL Lunar eclipse at 15+Sagittarius on a Full Strawberry Moon will be the latest-rising and among the largest-looking full Moons of 2020.

This degree is conjunct the U.S. Ascendant at 12 degrees SAGITTARIUS and retriggers the positions of SATURN at 14+ GEMINI and PLUTO at 12 degrees  SAGITTARIUS at 9/11. As we are releasing South Node eclipse we will see echoes of “terrorism” but in a domestic not international threat, 

We won’t see the eclipse from here in North America. It’s visible only to observers in Asia, Africa and Australia, only 57% of the Strawberry Moon will be eclipsed by Earth’s penumbral shadow during this event. We will certainly feel it as it is a Full Moon and the last one before Summer solstice which has another Solar Eclipse.

The North Node of the Moon is called Rahu, the Dragons’ Head and the SOUTH NODE is Ketu the Dragon’s Tail, in Vedic Astrology which was seen as eating the Sun or Moon. These Nodes are responsible for creating all eclipses when the SUN or Moon are in close proximity to them. 

 

Lunar eclipses affect our emotional bodies. They pull on us to be internal and receptive, pulling on the tides, the strongest. During Lunar Eclipses traditionally, mantras were recited and purification pujas are still done in India. According to Hindu sources and Tibet Buddhism, as I was taught, the effects of reciting mantras, and prayers expands the merit 700,000 times. All good deeds and bad deeds the same way. So be very conscious of what you are doing today. It is not a time to practice magic. 

This is a hard aspected Eclipse with a major T-square. You dont want to mess with this. The SUN and VENUS Retrograde are conjunct in GEMINI and they are the shadow aspects of the Lunar Eclipse. The Moon is exactly squared off, and challenged by a watery passive-aggressive warrior MARS at 15 degrees PISCES plus Neptune at 20 Pisces. 

 Sagittarius Lunar eclipse is a mutable fire Moon. Moods can change like lightning and emotional bodies become quickly enflamed especially with that hard square from Mars in PISCES- can be the unconscious rage.

This lunar eclipse totally mirrors the current political unrest and issues. The #BLM movement, the days of demonstrations for George Floyds tragic murder by Minnesota Police is an embodiment of Mars in PISCES which is Mars in action for the underdog of Pisces.

Venus and The SUN in GEMINI are the shadows of this eclipse. Mental oppositions, good cop/bad cop/ which we are seeing in the news. The eclipses is in effect for 6 months until the next eclipse cycle. This can indicate a cycle of forest fires as we’ve seen before in the summer months.

 JUPITER rules Sagittarius. Jupiter rules SACRED LAW spiritual law above man-made laws.  Sagittarius rules politics, law, justice, truth, honesty. The lunar eclipse exactly squared by MARS in PISCES at 15+ degrees shows the shadow side of the warrior/ military/ police. This is unconscious shadows and more dangerous, the shadow of the law, karmic, self-sabotage. But justice and the people symbolized by the Moon will prevail.

CYCLES OF THE ECLIPSE 

All eclipses repeat in Saros cycles at similar degrees every 19 years. The last eclipse in this cycle #111- note the Numerology was May 26, 2002, May 15, 1984, May 4, 1966, during the Uranus Pluto conjunction in Virgo on March 15th and June 20th, 1966 with Pluto at 17 Virgo.  The SABIAN SYMBOL for the 18th degree of Virgo, on which Uranus and Pluto meet is “An ouija board,” they were also opposed by Saturn and Chiron {undiscovered} in PISCES  at the time too. Previous cycles April 23,1948 and April 13, 1930, the last date was just after the discovery of Pluto on February 18, 1930. 

JUPITER the ruler of Sagittarius is conjunct PLUTO in CAPRICORN

This is a lot of power in earth signs relating to politics, justice, the law, business, corporations and history. Jupiter expands PLUTO”s power and control and secret issues to show abuses of POWER. We need to see the shadows of racism in the light of day to be able to change the laws and who has the power. 

Jupiter rules humor and we need to lighten up in a very tense situation too. Dark humour would be appropriate, with Jupiter in Heavy Saturn ruled Capricorn.

Venus conjunct the Sun is INANNA/Persephone is in the Underworld when in her Retrograde. Women have a strong role to play in manifesting this”High Law.” which is LOVE. It’s Not quite TOTAL eclipse of the heart but you gotta see the love in it. The BLACK HOLES  Inana and Ereshkigal are at 17/18 and 18/19 Sagittarius conjunct the Eclipsed Full Moon amping up the underworld archetypal journey of Love and War and transformation. Its a GALACTIC Underworld journey. We are certainly seeing all the shadows come out.

MARS in Pisces, rules anger and hidden secrets conjunct Neptune rules viruses in 12th hidden sign. Lunar eclipse in Sagittarius square Mars is a foreign invasion, a war that the U.S. starts and COVID-19 expansion under Jupiter’s expansive rule. Things go viral like mad.  Mars in PISCES is unconscious passive-aggressive its best to bring the simmering anger up to the surface and work it out through shadowboxing literally or any martial art or do a vigorous run or work out. Sagittarius rules sports. Tempers can blow up quickly and seem to be out of the blue.

The Fixed Star Mizar at 15 Virgo according to Chinese astrology in Ursa Major. The Star of Prosperity (Luxing), dressed in imperial robes, is a smiling, bearded man who holds the Wish-Fulfilling Scepter (ruyi). In Hindu Astrology this star is good for marriage. There is some positive balance here.

If you have planets/Rising/Nodes/ Asteroids etc at 13+-17+ degrees of SAGITTARIUS, PISCES GEMINI and VIRGO you will be affected the strongest. Look to where 15 SAGITTARIUS, GEMINI and PISCES are in your natal chart even if you dont have any planets there to see where the eclipse is affecting you personally.
