Halting the progression of multiple sclerosis by blocking harmful B cells

Scientists at the University of Montreal have identified a new molecule produced by B cells, immune cells that cross the blood-brain barrier and contribute to progressive multiple sclerosis. Blocking the molecule could offer a new way to treat the disease, they believe.
