This is such a powerful symbol because lots happened in 1781-see below my research.
The Sun Jupiter conjunction alone is powerful. But along with Mercury Retrograde in Sagittarius at all at the same declination, the qualities of the sign of truth, justice, politics, travel, philosophy, space and higher thinking was so visible in the past happenings in 1781.
We are surely being given the cosmic sign marker nudge to remember it all and to take the revolutionary fervor to the next “higher octave.”

If you have planets at 3-6 degrees Sagittarius you get the BIG BANG. I do! My SUN is at 6 degrees. I’ll take it. I can use it.
If you have planets between 3-6 degrees of mutable signs Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces you also get the biggest oomph. But everybody wins.

I quoted this from Wikipedia. That’s all it said. Someone just happened to mention this horrible event in an awards ceremony my husband and I attended at the end of October so I find that synchronicity quite weird. I don’t know anymore and didn’t investigate further.

Super Cool! Tara this is also my area of research. Tupac Amaru is the name of a revolutionary fighter who united many groups to forge a major rebellion. He worked alongside his wife and has a truly amazing story, as he once worked for the Spanish Empire. He was captured and murdered publicly. On the day he was quartered by 4 horses, a great storm overtook the sky. it is said that given his impact on humanity, his death was felt even by the Gods on that day. Uranus is the sky God, and there is so much that happened during it’s discovery. I’m working on a project to decolonize astrology and adding elements of these cultural myths to the astrological archetypes.

that sounds amazing. The only reason I am familiar with Tupac Ameru is from my fave South American saxophone player Gato Barbieri who had a song named after him. Yes decolonize Astrology for sure. The same thing is true with depatriarchalizing Astrology too.I’d love to hear more about this.
