I was meditating this morning when I woke up. I have asked for more clarity into 2016.
I had seen this sword like the Ace of swords and the Lady of the Lake appear already. This is a variation on Saturn in Sagittarius centaur aiming its arrows at the Galactic Center.
I cottoned onto the Hermit as a #9 year, literally. Also the Sage which is the origin of the word Sagittarius.
This morning I saw the Unicorn in a vision.
I knew that felt right.. I have always had an affinity for unicorns. The traditional tapestry The Hunt of the Unicorn from the 1500’s is at the Cloisters in New York. I saw it years ago and it was breathtaking. When I lived in the country in Virginia years ago I saw a triangular-shaped fence which is what holds unicorns and I used to see one captured there.
~Unicorns have long been a representation of the Moon, the mysterious, intuitive, magick found within the unicorn. There are at least eight mentions of the unicorn in the Old Testament,
The original tale of the unicorn was that of the Goddess which was later overlaid as the Virgin Mary who trapped a unicorn, whereupon the unicorn became tame and lay its head in her lap.
As the legend grew through reinterpretation, the unicorn was viewed as the Christ or Incarnation and the death of a unicorn as the Passion of Christ. This allowed a pagan symbol to become highly esteemed within the church. In fact, a grouping or herd of unicorns is called a “blessing” of unicorns. The horn, resembling that of a narwhals, presumably had curative powers that allowed the unicorn to detoxify water. This is an important meaning for 2016.
Unicorns are also prominent in heraldic symbolism, usually with a spiral horn, sometimes of red and black. In heraldry, unicorns are often shown with a collar and a broken chain, indicating that they have freed themselves from bondage and cannot be taken again.
The unicorn is both a masculine phallic symbol and a feminine symbol of the moon a symbol of alchemy and temperance.
The magical powers of unicorns are also legendary. Unicorn horns are said to be harder than diamonds and to be able to neutralize poisons. Unicorn tears can heal both physical wounds and sorrows of the heart.
A person with the ability to see a unicorn may have a wish granted as a reward. Unicorns are often reputed to have the ability to fly. Some unicorns are believed to be able to speak to all kinds of other creatures.
In modern literature, the lure and mystery of unicorns remains. In the recent Harry Potterseries by J.K. Rowlings, powerful wands are made with a core of unicorn hair. The blood of a unicorn is also reputed to keep a person alive even if he is very close to death. The ongoing body of literature associated with unicorns and the powers attributed to them will undoubtedly continue to add to their value as symbols of freedom, healing and beauty.
Call upon the Unicorn to visit you in your dreams and in your meditations.
Let me know if you see one.
