After one of the hardest, coldest, snowiest and longest Winter’s on record in Canada and the northern parts of the United States and Europe SPRING FINALLY ARRIVES in the Northern hemisphere on March 20 @ 9:57 am PDT/ 16:57 UT/12:57 pm EDT. Winter begins at same time Down Under the Equator.

The Equinox chart is the beginning of the New growth Year in 2014. It is the Natural New year as the Sun stands still on the Equator creating equal day and night. The Sun will gradually move northward to touch the Tropic of Cancer which marks Summer Solstice in the North.
The Equinox chart governs the next 3 months and we already know what a powerful period it will be.
So lets check it out. -see below. The chart with Astrodienst software is off a minute. The chart should have a 13 degree + Cancer Ascendant which is the degree of the UNITED STATES SUN, showing the U.S. as the primary prow of this next 3 months. Also the degree of the major Star SIRIUS, the brightest Star in the Sky, the one the Ancient Egyptians and the Masonic founders of the U.S. worshipped. Sirius is Isis the Great Mother.
JUPITER exalted in CANCER is EXACTLY on the ASCENDANT
This shows great promise, abundance, optimism, luck. But Jupiter can often be overly confidant, too traditional, secretive and crabby. Jupiter is involved in a heavy T- square with Pluto and Uranus. There is an expansiveness a fast track growth.
The SUN at zero degrees of Aries in the 10th house of worldly fame, HIGH NOON. NEW LIFE & new light, energy, the Masculine is Ascending- sort of.. We are being energized. Lots of powerful fierce, dangerous, action going on the world’s stage.
HEAVY EMOTIONAL CHALLENGES
The Moon at 17 degrees of Scorpio is in the 5th house conjunct Retrograde Saturn at 23 degrees.
The Moon is Mothering and Saturn is Fathering.

We are reviewing, repeating, repealing, revealing the dark sides, yours, and theirs, the shadows, the power and control trips, the underbelly of bondage, who is in control, sex, money, secrets. This is the Queen Bee and her hive buzzing together for the greatest good of all. Venus loves new tech, higher consciousness, breakthroughs, freedom. VENUS is in Quincunx to JUPITER right on the Ascendant. So there is a disconnect between the NEW Higher Consciousness and Jupiter’s expansive emotional nurturing, comforting Motherly love and security it offers. The old Mom and Apple Pie security blankets vs the brave new world. Uranus is ruling Venus. A lot of unexpected changes in celebrity and the famous love lives.
Venus is squaring the MOON SATURN conjunction. So she is applying detached LOVE, unimagined love, relationships, money, art, creativity to the serious karmic time.
The ruler of the newly born ARIES Sun is MARS, RETROGRADE in LIBRA at 25 degrees.
Action, passion, sex, the Masculine energy is conjunct the North Node at 28 degrees in the 4th house.
GO HOME YOUNG MAN.
The 4th house is the SELF, the roots, the most private, mothering, nurturing, protective house. Where we seek emotional safety and security. It is the womb, our Mother’s. Mars Retrograde in Libra which I wrote about previously, is making us Review how out of balance we are in our relationships on all levels, most especially with our mothers, the Feminine, emotional security where we get it from, how much or little we feel it. Which includes self pleasuring and self love.
The Goddess Asteroid VESTA is conjunct NORTH NODE and Mars which will be involved this time in the Grand Cardinal Cross on April 15-23..
VESTA is the ancient Goddess of sexuality, passion and focus. The Vestal Virgins were a specifically TANTRICALLY SEXUAL group of Goddess worshippers which were later inverted by the Church as being celibate. Women need to reclaim their ancient sexual powers to heal men. One of my teachers ,Deena Metzger wrote a book called “The woman who slept with men to take the war out of them.” describing this type of energy in a modern context. The North Node is our highest current spiritual goal. Women can shape shift the world. A new sexuality is being born. One that honours women and REbalances our old institutions. CERES the Great Mother is also nearby at zero degrees Scorpio in the 4th house. She makes everything in Nature grow.
The North Node, our highest spiritual goals, is to rebalance the MASCULINE, aggressive, angry, competitive, energy {Mars} within ourselves. Within and without. Libra the Balance. Ultimately to have the Marriage which LIBRA symbolizes, we must have equality in relationships. Mutual respect, which must come from within ourselves.
URANUS in ARIES is in the 10th house with JUNO Goddess of Feminine genius. Juno’s ability is to keep things in harmony. REVOLUTION is the Plat du jour, everywhere in the World. Ukraine, Venezuela, and more. Uranus in Aries is of course involved in the Great CARDINAL GRAND CROSS which is coming in mid April. Uranus is the most visible planet and this is a Capricorn overtone house. We need blastingly new governments, and freedom in careers, in goals, in direction.
PLUTO at 13 degrees of CAPRICORN is in the 6th house but right on the DESCENDANT the 7th house the house of marriage and relationships.
Pluto is the great mover, the INVISIBLE one, DEATH, rebirth, TRANSFORMATION, ecology, recycling. Our interface with all “others” bring new life but also death, letting go, sacrifice, surrender. Many relationships are going through major turmoil, many endings and new ones beginning. What no longer serves our Highest soul purpose – PLUTO, needs to be transformed for you to grow. It can be hard to let go.

Lilith at 1 degree of LEO is square to CERES at Zero degrees of Scorpio
The Dark Rejected Feminine and the Great Mother’s energy are tied together. Lilith in LEO is Queen Lilith taking her rightful place on the throne. The Goddess who refuses to bow down to any disrespect or Patriarchal abuse is strong, passionate, sexual, energized. Ceres is in the death and rebirth sign. There may be trouble with food supplies as she is the Goddess of the grains. This combination suggests drought conditions, and we know there has been severe droughts in California which may continue for some time.
In Ancient times at BELTANE on MAY 1st youths would make love to strangers in the fields at night in the dark wearing masks. This was an ancient Fertility festival. The bringing of wild sweet abandon to celebrate fertility conception and growth was a way of participating with the Natural cycles. We need some rain dances for sure.
This chart shows some great energy but with MARS RETROGRADE until May 19 don’t expect anything to really move forwards till then. Use this time to incubate new growth, finish off old business on all levels. Saturn Retrograde also slows the progress. As Mars rules Uranus and in the GCC it will be much more internalized.
