Reflecting on these past two weeks: Energies felt very fast up and busy up till Halloween. Since then the energies have been feeling very odd to me the last 2 weeks. As if it’s too busy yet moving through molasses at the same time. I felt a big high-energy shift last Friday on the 12th which then sink into feeling incredibly exhausted. My confreres agreed to the same feelings. I said well the planets Jupiter and Venus are almost at a total slowdown for the past few days, we’re feeling that pressure.
Nov. 18 Venus, Goddess of sex, romance, love and Money and Jupiter, doing it big and taking risks both turn direct motion today! Jupiter, aka Yahweh, Zeus, the big windbag and my fave planet, being both Sagittarius and Pisces’ ruler, the planet of optimism humour, largess, truth, justices, travelling, philosophy and religion has been Retrograde since July 23 at 3 degrees 24 minutes of Aries. Now that was one long big winded Jupiterian opening sentence. If you’re a Sagittarian {and a Piscean} we can call ourselves Jupiterish.

So think back to those 40 degree Celsius days in late July, where you were at back then has been being reviewed these past almost 4 months.
Planets are always at their most powerful when stationary- at a standstill and reversing gears, turning direct in motion.
Jupe, as he is known to his buddies, turns direct Nov 18 @ precisely 11:41 AM EDT at 23 degrees of Pisces + 30 mins. Jupiter was last at that degree on April 30 in direct motion. It’s just like a Time Warp. Sing it Let’s do the Time warp again! It’s just a jump to the left.

Jupiter won’t get back to 3 degrees of Aries + till Feb 9 2011. So we’ve another 3 months to get back to where we once… belonged?

And what about the sexy love money Stuff? Venus is also moving from Stationary to Direct four and a half hours after Jupiter @ 4:10 pm EDT. Venus has only been retrograde since October 8, when she changed direction at 13 degrees of Scorpio 14 mins. Venus backed into her strength in her home sign of Libra since Nov 7th.
A Retro Venus in Scorpio has created many steamy dramatic, secretive, kinky, S & M, soulful, gut wrenching, transformations, endings, deep shadow stuff coming into the light, power struggles, deep wounds.
Her bit of a breather in Libra is like sitting on the sides of the ring while in round 5 of the Soul Boxing Match of the world, catching our breaths as we get ready to go back into the fray. Venus turns Direct at 27 degrees of Libra and 39 minutes.

November 29 @ 7:33 pm EDT Venus puts on her Victoria’s Secret lingerie once again. This 2nd time around she’ll be more sexy and sultry then ever. Venus is considered to be in detriment in Scorpio. Sao she may be sulking a lot not being Happy in Hades dark realm of death and rebirth. Venus is now ending her once every 18 months or so tour of the Underworld since Nov 4 when she arose as the beautiful Morning Star.
Mars the ruler of Scorpio has moved on, advancing into Sagittarius since October 28. Mars in Sagittarius puts the action {and defenses} into foreigners, travelling, truth, all those Jupiter-ish issues mentioned previously.

The Moon is Waxing which is best for doing magical ceremonies as energies are increasing to fullness and completion of the monthly cycle. Magik is done in harmony with the lunar signs, astrology aspects and planetary hours of the day and night. You can look up the planetary hours on the net for your specific location.
Friday Nov 19th when Moon enters Taurus 5:04 am EDT is the best time.
So that the Moon will be under Venus’s ruler ship. This doubly strengthens Venus’s power over the Moon’s ruling of the feelings and unconscious!
The Moon Trines Pluto at 12:33 pm EDT a very big powerful beneficial aspect, and stays with this aspect until Nov 20th @ 6:47 am so one has all afternoon and all night to do the ritual.
JUPITER attributes in magik
We want to gather as many symbols, attributes, similarities to both Planets energies, mainly focussing on Venus here. Jupiter’s colour are purple and his metal is tin; amethyst, topaz, emeralds his jewels. Oregano, nutmeg some oh his spices; olive, ivy, ash his trees; lungwort, balsam, borage his herbs and pomegranates are his fruits.
In Feng Shui tradition one would get 5 red envelopes, as 5 is Venus’s number and fill them with 5 silver coins, as Silver is Venus’s metal. I would bless and consecrate and empower the envelopes and coins during the ceremony. Have a green candle or candles for attracting money.
A money oil recipe:
4 pts Frankinsence, 1 pt Heliotrope,½ pt Bay , 1 pt Orange,
½ pt Cinnamon or Cassia, 2 pts Sandalwood {optional}
Use this oil to anoint green candles in any ritual to bring wealth into your home.
Wear green or Blue for Love abundance.
Use a lovely living round leaved green plant. Some copper coins, silver objects, can be jewellery, gold, amethyst and a $20 bill up to a $100 bill. The largest amount you can get. . Bring into your circle anything, which represents the abundance you want to call in. Not just money, but expansion, travels which Jupiter rules. If for love bring in pictures or things that symbolize the love you wish to receive. But remember to affirm that you already have it!
Get centred. Smudge before doing any ritual to consecrate sacred space. Incense of pure quality will do. Rose, Frankincense are good for Venus. Breath relaxes, ground. Put on some nice pleasant relaxing meditation music.
After you’ve anointed yourself and your candles with the oils, Light your green candle. With a crystal wand or a consecrated knife as a wand, or a magical wand if you have one, create and delineate a sacred space around you into which all your ritual objects are located. From the center Call in the 4 directions starting in the East and moving clock-wise.
Put the amethyst crystal on the money to energize it. Everything is intention. The more power you can bring in, the more the spell works. The planets help focus the energies.
Go slowly. Your intention is to give thanks for the incredible abundance of wealth, health, and love in your life. Say this with happy energy, with fullness in you, even if you’re dirt-poor broke; act as if you have just won a lottery. This attracts that which you desire to you. Always affirm that you already have that which you desire because in truth you already do have all that you desire by sacred law.
Imagine the currents of ethers, the beautiful Goddess Venus or see her as Kwan Yin, Green Tara and Jupiter all together raining down
Healing raindrops,
Love, rose petals, lotuses, lilies, fragrance, perfumes, see beautiful birds,
Angels, light surround you,
Large sums of money raining down onto you as gold coins,
Open your hands palms up to receive all the abundance into your life.
Open your crown chakra to receive the Light
Open your heart to receive the love.
After the ceremony: Take time afterwards to ground the energy. Thank the spirits and the elements of all the directions for being with you in ceremony. Allow them to go back to their worlds and directions with thanks and love.
The Chinese coins in the envelopes should be given away to people you appreciate or leave them surreptitiously placed so strangers find them, so that you give without expectations. It is important to give away, which opens your heart with abundance and as you give away, the more room you have to receive.

Halloween is Witches New Year. Remember the Burning Times by Tara Greene
Halloween Samhain The Witches New Year
These days Halloween has become another day in the year in which to sell lots of scary rubber and plastic paraphernalia, fake blood, creaky coffin lid opening soundtracks, the Monster Mash, etc etc. another commerical holiday. Children dressed in costumes go door to door with their pillowcases {environmentally friendly} asking Trick or Treat! The kiddies are given way too much sugar, and carefully pre-packaged non interfered with goods. Adults these days get into the Halloween theme by dressing up- straight guys love to be able to go out in drag on Halloween and generally party, funkily “spook-up” their environments and drink a lot. Lots of scary movies get shown.
But let’s not forget the origins of Halloween. It is Hallowed Evening. A Holy Evening, the Ancient Pagan/Wiccan New Year during the month when the Sun is in Scorpio, sign of Birth Death and Transformation. It is close to the mid-point between Autumn and Winter Solstice. Death is Rebirth. Wiccans honour this eve as the night when the veil between the two worlds is thinnest and much scrying, gazing into crystal balls and connecting with the spirits of the dead goes on as this night offers easiest access.
The Wheel of the Year Turns and this is a Sabbat or Sabbath Night, covens gather to do Ceremony. This is a Sacred not a Scared Night.
I wish in the midst of your pumpkin carving and revellery that you take time out to honour this day as it was originally intended. Remember in the midst of all the superficial trappings of Halloween, the hundreds of thousands, some say up to 9,000,000 mainly women, children and men who were accused of being witches by the Catholic Church who were tortured and burned at the stake. Old women, crones, medicine women, herbalists, midwives, pagans,their families, the poor, all innocent people who lived in harmony with Nature, who Loved their Mother the Earth, who knew the Wise Women Ways, the ancient ways to heal, to tend the sick, the dying, the mothers giving birth. It was a mysogynist nazi Christian tyranny that went on for over 300 years in Europe and to the New World where the last woman was burned at the stake at Salem. Remember this Holocaust because it wasn’t so long ago. You didn’t have to be Jewish orMuslim you mainly just had to be a woman and therefore evil in the sainted eyes of the Holy Christian Church.
I remember my own burning, the Inquisitors {one of whom turned out to be in this present life, my first husband, and a couple of Real Estate Agents, one Jewish, one Black} I relived this memory during a Holotropic Breathwork session. Many other women also relived the same experiences. It was horrible, my own two children were forced to stand and watch as their mother was tied to the stake and the fire lit. Of course I wasn’t meek or mild, I screamed and cursed them all for their inhumanity and ignorance, for their sadism and cruelty.
Those 100,000-200,000 to 9 million innocent souls who were terribly tortured and burned are back now on this earth.
Deep in the cells of your being in your cellular consciousness be you male or female at this time, you remember the Burning Times when you lived in total fear, when you hid you pagan religion, your ability to help, to heal, when tyranny was all around and anyone could accuse you of being a witch thereby ensuring your almost certain death. Watch The Burning Times a Canada Film Board movie which chronicles in detail this stain upon humanity.
Light a candle for those hundreds of thousands of souls who were innocent and remember what it was like. Given 6 degrees of separation you or someone you love, your children or your dog or cat, a friend or even your landlord was surely enough one of those people.
It’s time to acknowledge the deep pain in the shadows of our unconscious. The only way to heal it is to acknowledge that shadow, let the tears flow, the grief, the agony. This brings it out of unconsciousness otherwise that shadow control our actions unconsciously and allows us to keep inflicting pain on others and self, believing that we are not worthy, not lovable, deceitful, sinners,powerless. There is a collective shadow of women being afraid to hold their power and beauty.
As this is a New Year in the Ancient Count of Days Light a Candle of Illumination and Enlightenment and go beyond the rage, the anger into Love and Forgiveness. For the only way out is to forgive the accusers for their ignorance. This takes great strength and courage, for as you Forgive them you also forgive yourself and allow yourself to be free of the past.
They will have gotten their karmic comeupance.
