Traditionally masked young men and women would meet as strangers in the night, to mate,on the earth, in the bonfire shadows, to surrender to the natural desires of Spring,budding life and new passion running in their veins. Children conceived at Beltane were considered sacred and special and born around St. Brigid’s day, also a Fiery Goddess.

Well Judgement Day and The Rapture may have not come yet and are still much in the news and on people’s  minds these days,  even though he got the timing wrong,but the symbolic archetypal image and the meaning of the rapture is all around us. Rapture or to be enraptured means to be uplifted or transfixed or transported by a lofty emotion.

I always know that the Cosmos is always sending us back messages if we are aware enough to see them. The enrgies have been a bit intense lately haven’t you noticed?

I live in Toronto, I was born in Toronto. I’m not that into basketball.  Ok Ok I’ll get to the point.

Today May 31, the 2nd sunny day in a row in weeks here in Toronto. Its been the wettest month of May on record I think. We are lucky to be outside of the terrible tornadoes and flooding further south but am sad to see all the destruction in the U.S.  A dear friend of mine passed away suddenly May 26, at 59 years old. We’ve been BFF’s since we were 15 years old in grade 11. Even thought I didn’t see her that much we spoke on the phone regularly and i always felt her inside of me. I’ve known over the years that she had a compromised immune system, I knew she’d been experiencing bad health for a number of years, yet her death was sudden and unexpected. I’d spoken to her about 10 days ago. I felt very bereft of someone I’d shared so much of my life with, we were witnesses to each other, we validated each other and I am feeling very sad for the last few days. She was like a sister to me.

As an intuitive and as a psychic I really felt I was tracking her energy as she crossed over. I also enlisted the help of a Tibetan Buddhist Monk I know, and asked him to say prayers  for her, {even though she was raised Catholic, she wasn’t a practicing one}, to protect her and to help her leave the Wheel of Karma, to go into the Light. The energies around her felt heavy to me the first three days, it is difficult to pull away from the earth plane and the emotional and psychic love bonds and then the sadness of those you love who are feeling .

On the 4th day which was Monday the 30th I felt my friend Lynn’s presence speaking to me clearly and in her voice was the old tinkling upbeat, happy young woman I used to know. She said “Hi. Boy, you won’t believe how beautiful it is once you cross over and are out of the earth plane.” She said “Everything was shining, light, bright.” She still had a body but it was made of light,healthy, whole,happy and energized. Everything was available to her with just a thought, a whim. “I can see through everyone and sense everything they feel, no secrets.” she said.

She said she was so touched by everyone’s heartfelt emotions. It’s  surprising to find out just how much everyone does care for me now.- she said.”At first I almost couldn’t believe it” but she knows it’s true because she can read everyone’s minds and hearts.  I am very happy to hear this message as it greatly alleviates my sadness.

Messages from Spirit

Today Tuesday May 31 my husband and I are in our backyard. It’ sunny after 11;00 am. I look up and to the left of our house by the next street over is a very tall evergreen tree and at it’s very top is a huge ”thing.” I say what the hell is that? My hubby thinks it’s a hawk. I say that’s the biggest hawk I’ve ever seen. It is brown with a white stomach and bit of brown lines on its’ breast. It has an eagle shaped head and huge bright yellow claws. A smaller black bird is flitting around it chirping at it.  It is the most magnificent bird I’ve ever seen. It is sunning itself and it is radiating a golden colour from its breast. Then it ups and flys off revealing a huge wingspan which is most definitely an eagles’ not a hawks and it is awesome like glittering gold. OMG our jaws have dropped. Then while we wait with bated breath to see if it’ll return, a brown head pops up from below where the bird was perched and it is obviously a female.

The huge brown golden eagle return and his mate flies off, I have my binoculars by now. We can see there is a huge nest built way up near the top of that tree. The golden eagle returns and so does his mate, and my husband and I are almost in tears, We are whooping it up, talking to that gorgeous creature. I am on my knees sending it prayers and thanks. I am enraptured by the Raptor. He chirrups and tweets very loudly.

The messenger of SPIRIT

So if that isn’t a message and a blessing from the Cosmos i don’t know what is. I have looked it up and it seems like a Golden Eagle but these are quite rare in Toronto where I live. I am not an expert bird watcher, although I love birds. If anyone can identify this creature please do let me know. It’s not an osprey. I have seen bald eagles, it is definitely an eagle. Eagle is the Spirit itself, the Sun, the Light. I am overjoyed and humbled. Thank You

St. Patrick’s Day,the Luck ‘O the Irish,the pagans by Tara Greene Astrology

St. Patrick, Catholic Irish Saint,is known for driving the snakes out of Ireland. That story  is actually a cultural re-visioning. St. Patrick, identified with the shamrock, was no Saint and not lucky at all for the pagans who worshipped the Goddess. Ireland since time out of mind was a pagan, Wiccan, Druid, Nature, Goddess worshipping land. These people were demonized and ripped off by St. Paddy. 

St. Paddy is NOT Irish. Born in Scotland  to Roman parents around 387 AD.  Taken prisoner at 14, he was sent to Ireland as a slave. He studied the language and learned the customs of the people, original Nature loving, pantheistic earth worshippers. 

As the story goes, Patrick prayed to God. He had a dream he was to leave Ireland but the Irish people were calling him back. He studied to be a priest. He became a Bishop and was sent back to Ireland to teach the Gospel. He arrived at Slane on March 25, 433. Patrick converted many thousands of people including Irish Kings who were moved {or threatened} upon hearing Patrick’s message. He himself had many disciples who were all later canonized. He preached for over 40 years, apparently worked many miracles, and wrote of his love for God in his confessions. He lived in poverty, travelled and endured much suffering and died March 17, 461 AD. at Saul, where he had built his first church. It’s 1,550 years since he died. 

THE SHAMROCK

Patrick used the shamrock, as the symbol of the holy Trinity. The SHAMrock or clover {note the sham pun in shamrock, puns are always give a ways} is originally an ancient PAGAN SYMBOL of the GODDESS, the original Holy TRINITY, the TRIPLE GODDESS, whose phases we see as the Moon waxing and waning.  

The Triple Goddess, like the Roman God Janus, who was also an overlay of the original Goddess worshipping religions, represents the past present and future. Christianity like Hinduism, Judaism, Islam always incorporated former religions but then skews the original meaning, usually inferring the opposite.

St. Patrick was famous for driving the snakes out of Ireland, meaning he drove the pagans out/converted them. The snake is a euphemism; the snakes symbolize the Goddess, rebirth, sexuality, eternity, and wisdom. Snakes were always her honoured symbol. In the re-writing of the Goddess history, the propaganda popularly known as the Bible, tells how in Genesis, the snake was turned into evil and Eve made to be seen as wicked, the original sinner, forever dooming women to hardship in birth, and never able to repent.

It is the worst most wicked, horrible, most ridiculous LIE,  filled with self-hatred, hatred of life, divorced from nature. It  was of course built on the foundations of Judaism and the old testament which was the historical very violent story of the crushing of the Goddess religion, the defamation of the Feminine.

Everything the Goddess stood for, love of Nature, the Feminine relating principles, honouring life, children, sexuality etc. was made bad, indecent, devil worship by the Catholic Church and the Bible.

Christians thank him the conversion of the ancient Irish pagans. But in the name of Christ who tolerated all peoples, honoured women and preached love of thy neighbour, pagans especially women,who were labelled witches and -worshippers,were tortured to convert, and had their properties and rank stolen from them.

 To some Pagans, wiccans, druids, Goddess worshippers St. Patrick is a despised person who drove the Irish people from their original faith.  Some Wiccans may actually enjoy the celebration because of its “hidden” Pagan meaning, and smile when they see devout Christians wearing the shamrock, the Goddess’symbol proudly.

As in the Mists of Avalon, the re-telling of the Arthurian and Grail legends from the original Pagan Goddess worshipping aspect, the Goddess in any name is still Her energy. Goddess worship is earth honouring, egalitarian, matriarchal. 

Just as the white people carry a collective karmic debt and shame for destroying Indigenous peoples earth worshipping religion and cultures. In Canada,there is now a token giving back, as in the Queen Charlotte Island being renamed in their indigenous tongue and land treaties give native people back the lands and bones or historical relics taken in colonialized plunder, as in Egypt and China that were stolen from them. 

Perhaps we should rethink St. Patrick when we’re out in the pub drinking green beer, wearing shamrocks, and singing When Irish Eyes Are Smilin’ and Oh Danny Boy and at least toast THE GODDESS. Because as She says: “All acts of love and beauty are my worship.” 

And speaking of Ireland. The name Tara, popularly connected to the Hills of Tara, and the Kings of Tara is originally a Goddess name. Tara, whose ancient worship continues today,She is still worshipped daily in India and Tibet.  Green Tara whose name is originally SITARA, means the Stars. Therefore she is just like the Egyptian Goddess of the sky, where all life originated, the goddess Nut, or Nuit, aka the Milky Way Galaxy. Hey we don’t call it a Guyaxy. 

Sitara, her name means the Galaxy, all that is, She is the original creatress, Mother Nature. The Sitar is her heavenly music, the music of the cosmos. Her worship is so ancient and widespread it ran from India all the way to Ireland.

In English Tara =Terra in Latin meaning The EARTH. Eartha or Artha in Sanskrit means the Earth. All the names have an etymological root from Sanskrit considered to be a holy language. So in India and Tibet the mantra, the prayers for Tara invoke her vibration, as chanting OHM is considered to be the original word of God. Tara actually has 21 different manifestations, colours and dances representing her powers.  Green Tara is Mother Nature.

March 9 is the beginning of Universal underworld the “end” of the Mayan calendar

A new  higher truth 1.5 year cycle of consciousness begins when the North Node of the Moon {The Dragon’s head or Rahu in Vedic Astrology} shows what the collective consciousness is open to. Through the Galactic Centre, a huge black hole 23 million Light years away but clearly visible as a dark rift, a “cosmic vagina” at the Centre of our Milky Way Galaxy.

This space was and is seen as the birthplace. Doorway to birth and death for all of us. It is our home and destination. In other words it is attuning to the highest Source, it is Feminine in Nature. Pets, always popular. Cat-o’ tonic. This beautiful cat appeared on  our front lawn when he was a kitten, July 4, 2010.  My daughter named him Prince. He smells like olives. I’ve had many a cat in my day but never found one that smelled of olives before. Someone thought he smelled like pizza. Something about this guy opens my heart. We have telepathic heart to heart transmisssions when he sits on my lap. He is very tender, a “licky” cat.

I have always wanted a Persian carpet. When in Istambul Turkey years ago I went to a real Persian carpet factory. I loved them. I put down a deposit but my parents were too cheap and too paranoid to trust that you could buy an authentic persian carpet and have it arrive in canada. So they had me ask for my money back much to my dismay. I did get the dollars back. Many years later still wanted a Persian carpet. I always imagined real flying carpets, the magic carpet ride.

As is often the case in my life, whilst on a totally other errand, I happen to stumble upon… an oriental rug store which was having a 75% off real sale. We fell in love with this one the cat is lying on. I am trying to validate its worth. We love it. It has very trippy kinda looks like a repeated pattern of a blue submarine. Look towards the cat’s tail for this detail.

The carpet is a wool hand knotted from Mashad Iran  carpet. 10 x 6 ft 7 ” It’s age? 10-30 years? Has some irregularities, pile is a bit uneven, one part of outside border was cut in the weaving. Anyone know anything about these types of carpets?

My confreres agreed to the same feelings. I said well the planets Jupiter and Venus are almost at a total slowdown for the past few days, we’re feeling that pressure.

Nov. 18 Venus, Goddess of sex, romance, love and Money and Jupiter, doing it big and taking risks both turn direct motion today! Jupiter, aka Yahweh, Zeus, the big windbag and my fave planet, being both Sagittarius and Pisces’ ruler, the planet of optimism humour, largess, truth, justices, travelling, philosophy and religion has been Retrograde since July 23 at 3 degrees 24 minutes of Aries. Now that was one long big winded Jupiterian opening sentence.  If you’re a Sagittarian {and a Piscean} we can call ourselves Jupiterish.

We want to gather as many symbols, attributes, similarities to both Planets energies, mainly focussing on Venus here. Jupiter’s colour are purple and his metal is tin; amethyst, topaz, emeralds his jewels. Oregano, nutmeg some oh his spices; olive, ivy, ash his trees; lungwort, balsam, borage his herbs and pomegranates are his fruits.

 In Feng Shui tradition one would get 5 red envelopes, as 5 is Venus’s number and fill them with 5 silver coins, as Silver is Venus’s metal. I would bless and consecrate and empower the envelopes and coins during the ceremony. Have a green candle or candles for attracting money.

4 pts Frankinsence, 1 pt Heliotrope,½ pt Bay , 1 pt Orange,

His father was in politics, Saturn in Taurus, well he looks very Taurean. Stocky, stubborn, salt of the earth kinda reg Joe guy. Sensual, fixed, stable, conservative. Neptune is also Retrograde at 27 degrees of Scorpio. Neptune rules illusions, delusions, spirituality, dreams, working behind the scenes, mental health, compassion, alcoholism, and addictions. In Scorpio this cam be all smoke and mirrors. Posing as a compassionate person meanwhile digging the dirt, very deeply ruthlessly, someone with very addictive behaviours, untrustworthy. This is an old karmic pattern.

His North Node is at 27 degrees of Pisces. The North Node represents the highest spiritual goal. In Pisces, this is root for the underdog, be a chameleon, mutable, dreamy,

Idealistic, compassionate, martyr, works behind the scenes. If he plays his cards right in this life, he is getting close to finishing up some major karma.

Interestingly Jupiter and Uranus are on his North Node right now, so expect the Unexpected, Big changes but not necessarily stable at all. This helps him to grow and expands his higher goals. Jupiter and Uranus are opposite his natal Jupiter and Uranus in Virgo. So this is an opposition a rebalancing act for him. What he started 6, 12 and 24 years ago has come round half circle. The planets are also opposite his Pluto and his South Node too, which is at 27 degrees of Virgo and trining his Natal Neptune in Scorpio. Interestingly the transiting North Node will enter Sagittarius in early 2011 and transit the Galactic Center at 27 degrees of Sagittarius in March. He is aligned with this kind of evolutionary energy somehow.

Transiting Neptune and Chiron are squaring his natal Neptune- this is a classic. This is a mid life transit where the person being affected feels like al is rosy, and is set up for a huge fall! If Rob thinks he’s risen to the top and he sees the world through rose coloured glasses! Well better get a big cushion ready for your arse.

Pluto will be squaring his Natal Chiron in Aries at 6 degrees shortly. Chiron is the wounded healer. As Pluto rules the soul, you got be clean and transparent- he does use these words. Pluto is power riches control. This can give him the power to heal others and conversely get a huge kick in the teeth himself. Jupiter will transit his Chiron in the spring. That’s a big hurt. Oy what a headache! One way or the  other.

Jupiter is intrepidly marching through Aries in 2011 hitting his Venus and onto Taurus where Rob will experience a Jupiter Saturn conjunction, which is an excellent transit. It happens only once every 12 years.

These are some very powerful transits he is having. When dealing with Uranian energy the outcome is erratic, it is all about re-inventing yourself.

I wish I had George Smitherman’s chart but I don’t.  I don’t like Rob Ford myself. My pendulum said Rob would win, but then looking at the aspects for election day my sense is changing, he seems to slip behind and I predict there will be a huge unexpected support for Smitherman. It will be very tight and difficult for whoever wins to make much headway, as there will be always vociferous opposition. Remember the revolutionary energies begin in spring of 2011. Whoever is the most new, Uranian, different, humanitarian, truly innovative will be instep with the prevailing winds of change over the next 7 years.
