Steve Jobs, Apple CEO,  one of the most influential and powerful people in the world, a true artist, businessman, visionary, futurist dreamer and spiritual genius passed away October  5, 2011  after an 8 year battle with pancreatic cancer.

Steve was born out of wedlock and put up for adoption at 1 week old.

Always interested in tech he and Steve Wozniak co-founded Apple in 1976. Steve created the first personal computer and the mouse. Steve’s career saw some ups and downs in his career. Leaving Apple he created the NeXt computer, not a commercial success, but huge leaps and bounds in technological innovation. Jobs started PIXAr the worlds first computer animation company. 20 academy awards and hugely successful movies.  Steve got Apple to buy Pixar and he was back where he started,long story short in 2006 he became the biggest shareholder of Disney.

Of course we all know about the iPod, iPhone, iPad and how Apple’s brand is known worldwide.

In mid 2004 steve was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer a rare form and in July 2004 has surgery to remove the tumour in hopes of stopping it.

By the way the 6th house {Virgo, is always associated with underlying weak health issues} Steve’s sun is in the 6th and the sign of Cancer rules the pancreas which was cancerous. Steve was also known for being very private abouthis family, that is a typical Cancerian trait. Steve had Jupiter conjunct Uranus in Cancer this means expansion of any Cancerian ruled body issues. Jupiter also rules the liver.  In April 2009 he had a liver transplant. He recently took leave in Aug to attend to his health and finally succumbed Oct 5, 2011.

Those are some basic facts lets look at steve’s Astrology chart. This is a very highly rated birth time from his birth certificate.

Steve was a PISCES, an emotional, creative, spiritual, chameleon like creative genius visionary. His Sun where he shined the brightest was in his 6th house of work and service to others, Steve’s raison d’etre was to  create and transform analytical {6th house}service oriented  precision based imaginative, all-encompassing products which serve everyone. This is also the house of intellectual genius and  perfectionist   workaholic.

Speaking of which Steve had a VIRGO Ascendant. The Ascendant is the rising sign, mask or persona. Virgo is hugely analytical, intellectual perfectionist, organized, hard-working dedicated to serving others.

Steve’s MOON  n the 7th house this is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius

Remember that song from HAIR? Well yes Steve’s Moon was in his 7th house of “others” that is the entire world. The moon represents the intuition, instincts, the  mother, the unconscious fluid creative force. In Aries that is a take charge, self-made and self motivated, totally independent, passionate, King with a huge ego will and temper,who breathes life energy into everybody’s world.  Steve’s Moon was quincunxed -that is an 150 degree angle  from Pluto planet of the soul in the 12th house of geniuses and also from Saturn planet of Karma in fierce transformative, obsessive, secretive Scorpio. The aspects are shown in small green dotted lines. PLUTO and SATURN two fo the toughtst planets are both sextiling each other, this means they are 60 degrees apart, and the two planets form what is called a FINGER OF GOD aspect to Steve’s MOON. Well, you get the picture don’t you?

Back to that song, and JUPITER aligns with MARS. Yes Steve’s Jupiter does align with Mars in a square, a tense aspects producing action. Steve’s Mars is at the very last degree of Aries, making him the most inspired, action oriented, super hero, who would achieve world domination. A fighter, he fought cancer for 5 years longer than he was expected to survive. Mars is squaring Jupiter planet of expansion,located in the 10th house of Worldly success which is also conjunct planet of revolution Uranus. Uranus is the “higher octave” of planet Mercury which rules communications.

URANUS rules technology,scientific discoveries, fast communications,  the Big picture, the Age of Aquarius. You’re getting the drift right? Jupiter and Uranus in the 10th in the sign of CANCER, sign of the HOME, read personal computer, is an inventor who will change the world’s communications and Jupiter and Uranus are also opposite VENUS in Capricorn.

Venus in earthy sign Capricorn loves big business and corporate structure  in the 4th house. Again the 4th house symbolizes home, privacy. And Venus ties into that big red square in Steve’s chart to also Square NEPTUNE -{iTune}  planet of visionaries, artists, musicians, inspiration,the ruler of the sign of Pisces, Neptune in Libra rules the film industry. Steve has a CArdinal Grand Cross in his chart.

All those red lines are tense, the person has to do something, or not. Steve did something. Steve had a lot of retrograding planets in his chart.

MERCURY planet of communications, is in the 5th house Retrograde indicating a love of communicating, a creative self expressive being, a leader who shines,willful, childlike in some sense, loves his family.

Jupiter, planet of philosophy and big expansive honest uplifting  truths, also Uranus Neptune and Pluto.Retrograde planets indicate Karmic lessons, a coming back to re-do unfinshed busienss. Steve has some big karmic lesson. He came back into the earth plane to finish,especially around Communications and BIG IDEAS. 

With SATURN in Scorpio in the 3rd house of communications Steve had an iron will, the ability to stick to his senses, is business idea, his own discipline, he could be ruthless. Saturn represents the father and Scorpio is always birth death transformation. Saturn in Scorpio is extremely intense in everything. Unafraid to love at the edge of death and life, Steve’s famous alma mater speech shows that Scorpio fearlessness, to use death as an ally to live everyday to its fullest.

Saturn squared Mercury in Aquarius and Pluto in Virgo in the 12th house so his discipline, karma, ability to build, be the architect, galvanize, all Saturnian things have incredible communicative and with Pluto in Virgo in the 12th house are a vehicle for Steve’s own demons,his incredible iron will, his workaholic perfectionism. His gifts to the world.

NATURAL BORN HERO

With a NORTH NODE at 3 degrees of Capricorn in the 4th house Steve’s Job was to be a leader of corporations,but inwardly very private, his drive to prove himself in the world, comes from his South Node { not shown} but opposite the North in the 10th house of worldly position and career status in Cancer. The 4th house represents your mother, your roots, your childhood. The 10th house is worldly success.  I believe that amongst other things Steve was unconsciously driven to worldly success {10th house} because he came into this world already powerful, South Node, already a scion even though born to unwed parents and then adopted as an infant which by the way is Always,always the tip off and necessary ingredient for the classic HERO myth.

Sounds corny and Freudian I know but this motif means that Steve was driven to worldly success because he was unconsciously seeking nurturing, acceptance, roots,his mom through his business = North Node in Capricorn in the 4th house. ALso that his world success would be through the feminine,creating, labouring with and birthing his wildly successful business.

Steve had CHIRON in Aquarius sign of technological geniuses, free spirits, hippies, communications genius, liberators, freedom seekers and revolutionaries, in the 5th house opposite Uranus squaring Neptune and Mars. This means he was the wounded healer himself through  his genius invented creatively, an act of giving love, leadership, child likeness, will power, strength, courage, daring  all 5th house issues fueled { the squares} by Mars in Aries, see above and Uranus in the 10th. Read huge drive for power, worldly  success, liberation, communications freedom=celphones, personal computers, world wide communications, etc, etc.

 After a heroic battle that only someone with Steve’s willpower would have survived as long as he did. He finally died As Pluto had crossed his North Node, Uranus was squaring that Node. Neptune was opposite his Pluto, Chiron was approaching his Sun.

Saturn known as the Grim Reaper,Father Time at 19 degrees of Libra was squaring his Natal Venus  and squaring his Jupiter at 20 degrees of Cancer. Venus at 24 degrees of LIbra is exactly square to Uranus the planet of sudden change, and approaching a conjunction to his Natal Neptune, a very beautiful spiritual conjunction. Uranus is also conjunction his Natal Moon.

The transiting south node at 16 degrees of Gemini {not shown on chart} had recently crossed steve’s Mid Heaven his highest career goal in late August when he announced he was steppng down to take care of his health.

The NOrth Node had just squared his Ascendent.

Steve Jobs left an incredible technological legacy to the world which may take many years to ever duplicate.

I intuite that his vision, his spirituality and creativity, his essence exists in every Apple computer, exists in every iPod, iPhone, iPad and all the other as yet unrealized ideas Steve left to Apple for posterity.

 I believe we will see iCars, iCommunities,iStyle, iCommmerce. He was a great man and the world is a much better place because of him. My condolences to his wife and children and all who knew and loved him.

Steve became a Buddhist. I know that he has already reached Enlightenment, someone who gave so much of himself to help improve the world is what’s known as a Bodhistava. Steve wasn’t perfect in his human incarnation but like ‘em or not computers have transformed peoples lives enabling almost anyone to have access to the world in ways never dreamed of before. Steve Jobs contributed greatly to the ability of people to be free.
